Excellent staff. Great restaurant and not too pricey for this type of hotel
Great place to grab a drink/dinner before the pens game. Just get there early enough.
Great venue for a conference, nice location, valet parking. Starbucks on site.
Hotel was wonderful, whoever was extremely accommodating, and room service was excellent.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Thanks for your hospitality.
I honestly can't speak enough on how we are treated when we come to town. Honestly it's like royalty. Theresa has been my point of contact and we couldn't go wrong. Recently we came to town for my daughter's reception. My car went down and she helped us get a late checkout. Besides that it's always a warm greeting as well as frequent check-ins to make sure we're doing ok. With my family, I'm not intending to stay somewhere else. Thanks for making us feel at home Theresa Gibson and everyone at the hotel from check-in to checkout and housekeeping as well.
Nice stay; nice staff; wasn't too thrilled about paying for parking of my van though.
First class...all the way. Platinum member, who travels from Seattle to Miami, Bangor to Newport Beach, and everything in between. I've been blessed in life to stay at some of the nicest hotels in our great country and this one is solid. If you're staying here on bussiness it is about as good as it gets with regards to locale. If your using points or footing the steep bill yourself...parking is steep, valet may be a better option for coming/going. The parking under the hotel is hourly based so it can be more than valet. Across the street is a large parking lot for $7.50 day but only for another year or so...until the US Steel building is built, then cheapo parking will soon fade as a memory and soon be referred to in nostalgic banter of yesteryear.
Staff are courteous and even engaging. Every single staff member during my three nights engaged me, offered a smile, held a door, or provided a towel to wipe my panting brow in the gym. I was even given a cold water bottle as I sat in the lobby...no words exchanged and completely unsolicited. That IS by definition great customer service. Staff in concierge lounge offered great conversation and suggestions for things to do and see. Just book it. I know I will if I return.
Rooms a bit dated. Location is great if your looking to be within walking distance downtown.
Nice hotel and the restaurant was good but they have a huge miss on the most important part, the bed. The bed sucked. Nice and hard and very springy.
The hotel was nice, but the executive lounge was unavailable (I'm assuming construction, we were offered extra points for them being unable to serve us breakfast). The room was clean, but small - especially the bathroom, everything was right on top of each other.
Grate beer to celebrate the Penguins beat down of the Maple Leafs.
Nice hotel and nice staff. Shower could use some more pressure.
A nice place to stay, walking distance to downtown.
Night staff non responsive. Last nite called down twice for security for for sounded like a a fight in the hallway. Tons of screaming. Never got to sleep because of the noise. I have almost 1000 nites in Marriott and never heard of such a poor response for a disturbing issue. Next time I hotel can't handle the situation they should call the police. Stay clear from this location on a Friday and probably a Saturday nite.
I staff at a hotel for one main reason. To get a good nite sleep. Did not happen last night
The hotel had always been good for the murder mysteries.
It was very clean and the parking wasnt too hard to figure out. The service here was wonderful!
disappointed, bought starbucks from machine, milk was curdled at the top and it was a month expired, until 12:30 in the morning there were teenagers yelling and running up and down the hallway, in the morning, the cleaning staff was outside our door starting around 7:30 and until 9 were talking really loud and then were yelling up and down the hallway to each other, so much for relaxing and sleeping in.
Overall good experience. Nice staff with good attention to maintaining cleanliness standards during the pandemic.
Awesome experience with Pittsburgh Marriott City Centre
Nice, fresh, clean, well appointed. Right across the street from the arena. Good breakfast food.
Rooms where clean. Bathrooms were clean. Vallet was over 20 dollars per night. Overall it was a nice hotel.
Overall, the place is clean, looks nice, and serves the purpose of a hotel room well. I only take issue with one minor detail. Upon entering the room you'll see immediately that there are two bottles of water on the desk. At first I thought "what a nice gesture!" but I soon realized that there was a four dollar price tag attached to said bottled water. I would think the extra eight dollars(not that they're even paying that much) per customer could be easily managed. To me this seems petty and almost rude. It feels like I've been softened up, invited in, and promptly offered a slap in the face for refreshment. If they had added their cost to the booking price, I would have had no issue here. After being haggled by a bottle of water, I have only been looking for reasons to be upset here. This water has permanently damaged my opinion of this hotel. I won't drink it because I refuse to pay a massively inflated price for such a regionally inexpensive commodity.
I stayed there for a conference with a group of people including people with mental disabilities. Staff has been amazing with us! Very professional, friendly and understanding. The facility for the conference was also very good. The public bathrooms down the conference center were always very clean. The location of the hotel is incredible: you are right downtown Pittsburgh, close to so many attractions, parks, restaurants and bars. The hotel have a bar restaurant too and it's pretty great! I enjoyed my stay very much.
Very nice place. My event was on a Sunday so I used the free street parking on 5th and walked up to the hotel. Everything was great except that it was quite chilly all day in the rooms. I don't think they had turned the heat on yet. Other than that, good place for a large seminar.
Went for an event. Terrible parking garage. Grilled chicken salad that was as tough as leather.
Very nice staff, great meeting.spaces, and comfortable rooms
I didn't stay here, but was impressed with what I saw. Rhe rooms were nice, the lobby was amazing, they had music and areas to sit and eat, and the dining area was very elegant. I would recommend staying here if you are in the area.
Love this place. I stay here whenever I am in Pittsburgh.
Excellent location for walking to places to eat, discount for leaving your car parked overnight, and the pool is open!
The catering for lunch was okay, a bit to olive tasting. Breakfast was delicious. The venue is always clean and the bar is great for Pens games. It's right across from the arena!
It was great I had a wonderful stay very comfy and very clean
Used the valet service for the Pens Game. Bathrooms were clean and everyone was nice.
Great view of the city out corner suite on top floor! Easy valet parking. Room service was punctual. Good meal - healthy chicken salad
Cozy bed too! : )
The perfect place to have a drink before heading over to watch a hockey game!
Bar tender very professional, good prices for downtown
Great place to eat and drink. Service is great and has an awesome atmosphere.
A regular stop before and after penguins games! Very accommodating
At at the restaurant which had fine food but slow service.
Was there for a conference, (did not stay at the hotel, though). Decent enough hosts.
Friendly staff helped with parking and directed me to the event that I was attending.
Great room, excellent service, convenient location. Highly recommend it.
Was there for a wedding and everything was beautiful and the staff was great
Excellent location in the heart of the city. Very nice property and the staff were excellent making one feel at home.
Got drinks at Marriott before a penguin game. Beer was cheaper than in the arena.
Close to great restaurants, bars, and the Pittsburgh night scene. Very friendly and the location is easy to get to!
Good selection in drinks. Close location to PPG Paints arena, which is great.
Quiet, clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. A convenient location to the arena and downtown.
Front desk was kind and professional. Offered a parking solution for our over 6ft tall truck. The hotel had multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility. More importantly in the common areas. The room had a label on the door to ensure us that the room was cleaned prior to our arrival. The only downfall was that the bathroom was tiny.
Only went there for a meeting. Never stayed there.
I had a great stay at Marriott City Center in Pittsburgh. Staff are friendly, the food is wonderful, and the room was clean and comfortable. I was there for a conference. I found every staff member I came into contact with accommodating and friendly. I do like to stay at Marriotts. This is now on top of my list as one of my favorites.
