I've never felt the need to leave a review for a resteraunt before, but the food here was appalling.

The 'salad' was cabbage and onion. The pizza was covered in mayonnaise, absolutely disgusting meal, even worse covering considering the price we paid for our meal.

Pipers Brook Vineyard were preparing for a busy public holiday when we called in, but they were not very welcoming toward us. They just walked past us and we were made to feel we were a bother. So we didn't bother with their wine.
Thankyou to the pleasant young woman with the Samon and Trout samples which we tried and bought.

How this place is getting 4.5 stars is TOTALLY beyond me!!

The customer service is appalling!

It was a terrible version of faulty towers in the tasting room.

The man and female behind the bar were slow, non inclusive, and a terminal case of the dropsys

I waited quietly as the 2 servers meandered through a group of 4, when we had just been at Janzs with the same amount of people, and that lady carried the whole process of with class, style and aplomb, 3 of the many things missing at Pipers Brooke.

My partner and I where completely over looked as we waited at the bar to commence our tasting, which I was really looking forward to.

The female server commenced her performance, systematically ignored me, even though I d been sitting there for a while, she wouldn t even make eye contact and only spoke to and served the group next to me (who came in after me) rather than including me.

My partner came over and saw I was getting progressively more upset, and we left, not having tried any of the wines we went for wine.

I was so hurt and upset when we left, I bust into tears.

This was the last thing I wanted to do on our last day in Tasmania.

This has left a horrible last impression and sullied our last day.

I don t know why we received this treatment.

Maybe we need to go back to the times where there are signs on the door to indicate who will and won t be served!!!

I won t ever be purchasing Pipers or 9th Island again.

Drove to the vineyard on a Sunday afternoon with perfect weather and definitely did not regret the decision. You are meet with a vast field of vivid green wine fields and picturesque dirt roads leading to the facility.

We treated ourselves to the 5$ 6 wine selection tasting and the lovely blonde girl who served us was extremely knowledgeable of the wine's intricacies and specifics. Her upbeat demeanor allowed us to enjoy the flavours with a bright mood.

There is a quaint restaurant at the vineyard also, however there was a high demand for food and the kitchen ran out of produce so we were unable to order a meal before leaving. However we were served coffee very kindly by the ladies on duty and enjoyed them very much so in the outdoor alfresco eating area which is beautifully set up and decorated with appropriate greenery.

If you are a fan of good wine and a great view, then look no further than Piper's Brook Vineyard. The drive will be worth it!

Yeah I worked there, and I wanted to be transparent, but I 100% support the work done there and love all of the people I worked with. Cellar door staff are lovely and helpful, and the winemaking team is overwhelmingly experienced, firmly dedicated, and incredibly sassy. The leadership cares about every level of the business, especially it's people. If you go try the Kreglinger Sparkling, the Gewurztraminer, and the... well everything.

Such a disappointing wine tasting. We have only ever heard positive things about this winery, and having always enjoyed their wine before, it was on our 'must do' wineries. The attendant was already attending to 2 other couples and said we would be next but continued to not serve us. Once she began, she would attend each other couple back and forth and have long drawn out conversations with each couple and miss us each time. Our wine tasting took so long and even then we waited such a long time between each wine. Despite this, each wine we tried was absolutely devine, easy to drink, and different from all other wineries.

Loved it! Excellent knowledgeable tastings. Also the home of Ninth Island, loved their sparkling. Alongside this vineyard is Jansz too! Easy parking, a pretty place to stop for a while, maybe lunch? Disabled access 8/10.

We planned to there to have breakfast and wine taste today, and checked their website yesterday for the opening time and any information. But, when we arrived there this morning, after several km driving from their gate to the cafe and cellar door, a small paper notice said: Closed due to private function . Not only wasted our time but also we need to drive another 20km to other cafe for breakfast. They should put any close notice on website or just front gate to save guests time!

Wine - not bad

Wine - not bad
Facility - not that picturesque .. get a good look at the vats
Food - I don t know if there s anything better in the area, but we found the arincini balls bland and the scallop pie mediocre at best. Maybe try the tassie tasting platter instead.
Overall - disappointing to be honest. The fresh Tasmania rain water in the glass bottle for ridiculous price made us realise that this winery is not the place for us.

Lovely experience. Had a lazy late lunch there today.
Sunny courtyard was perfect in the 24 deg C day.

My partner had the red curry with prawns and duck spring rolls, which was apparently amazing. I had the vegi fritters, which was very tasty and healthy.

Paired with some nice wine and ciders, brownie desert and then some wine tastings next door afterwards.

Stunning views from the tables and bean bags out front.

Poor service. $15 for a wine tasting. When I asked the lady at the tasting counter to tell me about the wines she said that s what the tasting is for . Pinots were average. Clearly a mass production winery, in it for the money.

We had a light lunch in the cafe which was very nice. The staff were friendly and the selection of wines vast, but this cellar door is a bit tired and in need of a refresh in order to compete with some top quality competition. We wouldn t recommend it, as there are too many other great options.

Winery has lovely setting. Offers Cafe and coffee also.
Tasting a little dissapointing. Very mean with pour. Hardly enough to taste. Lucky if 60ml per taste. Not enough sparkling to see the bead.
No information offered about wine even when questioned.

The estate is pretty impressive in size and the view is beautiful. The wines are good (my preference goes to the Riesling) but prices seem way too high. Overall, it's a large wineyards and feels a bit 'industrial', I'd recommend to visit smaller ones

A lovely place. We just arrived at a busy time so service wasn't snappy but very friendly all the same despite the slight madness.

Food was great. We had the sharing platter and quiche of the day. See photos.

Wine was splendid. We had the Riesling which was light and not sweet at all as it traditionally is. We also had the '07 Brut Cuvee which I loved for its tastes of cream pie!

Overall a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Doing a wine tour of the lovely region only to find the place shut at least 30minutes early. I've been here before but wanted to show an interstate visitor the wine and venue - lovely wine & great venue (when open).

My father and I had a wonderful time at Pipers Brook Winery today from beginning to end. Early in the day when I called to see if they were open and serving food, I was informed that unfortunately they weren't serving food. However, I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to here that they are supporting this by having a food truck right outside in the gorgeous courtyard. We were served by Elaine for our tasting. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and entertaining. We were extremely impressed and overwhelmed with our amazing homegrown wines. The dog friendly and relaxed food truck served delicious light and flavour packed meals! I cannot recommend it enough!!

Had a great experience here, we went at a quiet time and got to try a range of great wines. Our host was lovely and very knowledgeable on all wines in general and was able to offer us extra tastings. Very clean and well presented establishment, well worth the trip out.
