Third visit to The Pink Pig. It was disappointing. They were out of brisket, but it wasn t a deal breaker. I ordered the rib plate and an overstuffed baked potato. The ribs were dry but edible. The potato wasn t good at all, it was still pretty hard and seemed as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for awhile, the cheese had an odd consistency and taste. The ranch dressing was running but tasty. The banana pudding was billed as homemade, but it didn t seem to be, tasted of boxed pudding. Pretty disappointed as past visits here have been good.

I love this place! Always worth the drive. This special was awesome, grilled pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes. Sammy will make it with bacon if you prefer! I never get tired of perusing the shelves and walls or checking out this tiny mountain town.

We got take out ribs, mac n cheese and baked beans. The BBQ ribs were delicious just the way they were but they supplied extra sauces with our meals. The mac n cheese was creamy and tasty and the baked beans which had pieces of BBQ meat in it were full of flavor. I would definitely eat here again these folks know how to cook BBQ.

I chose this place based on all of the good reviews I read but it was a mistake. We had ribs that were tough and dry. The sweet sauce I tried was bland. Fried mushroom appetizer was under cooked and the peach cobbler filling was good but the crust was doughy. I ordered a piece of peanut butter pie to go and looking at it now it is the smallest piece of pie I have seen ever. Not a good meal for $43.00 for 2 (only one beverage and no alcohol)

Awesome bar-b-que, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, very friendly service, hometown feel!
Also, another point that is a bit of a deal breaker for me personally is this: they have GOOD fresh-cut potato fries! Not potato wedges, mind you, I can handle those. These are the fresh cut kind with the skins still on them. (And I can t hardly stand those frozen crinkle-cut fries - yuck, none of those here!)

Tasty BBQ sauces! Especially like the hot flavor.

Very very good.

The first thing we usually do is search for a good BBQ joint wherever we go. The Pink Pig in Cherry Log is a treasure to be sure. You can tell from the moment you walk in the front door, these folks do BBQ right. It's a passion for them, and it shows in their food. Every bite was amazingly delicious. Pulled pork, brisquet, pulled chicken... RCV slaw, baked beans, and sweet potato fries were all phenominal. And, they dont pre sauce!! Spoke with the owners to get the scoop on the place, and really enjoyed hearing about the long history. This will likely be an anchor for us while we are in the area. Thanks for the great meal, and see y'all again soon!

Always excellent. Bbq is lean and tasty. If you prefer chicken - grilled or fried wI'll delight. The garlic salad is wonderful but make sure either you have no one to see in the afternoon or are going to hunt vampires !

Visited on a busy Sunday. Just wanted to order simple pork sandwiches to go. Waited at takeout area for 10 minutes before asking for someone to take our order and then waited another 20 minutes before asking about our order to go. Evidently they don't know what take means. Manager very rude.
Finally got the order never to return. Barbeque had many hard burnt pieces. Worst place ever.

Service was okay. Food was brought out and included cold fries and cold mac and cheese. Probably would have preferred kraft. As for the meats the ribs were pretty tasty and were by far the most tender of them all. We had the beef brisket and pork but it was very very dry. Problem is they shred the meat before serving and it looses the juices. Needed lots of sauce to make up for it. Probably will not return.

Cute place with great BBQ. We were told by a couple of travelers how good the barbecue was and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent and with a friendly atmosphere. Prices were reasonable and portions were enough to fill you up. We will be back!

Dropped by here to pick up a garlic salad, peach cobbler and some tea. As usual, the food was great. What wasn t so great was the 3.5% up charge for using a credit card. I noticed this charge at a number of places in north GA over the the July 4 2019 week; maybe it s temporary?

I ve never seen this charge on my Pink Pig receipts before, and I ve been going there for at least a decade.

Maybe MasterCard/Visa have changed their fees, which is fine, but let your customers know there is a 3.5% penalty for paying with credit and not cash/debit before you process their bill. If this isn t just surge pricing for the July 4th week, find a way to bury the 3.5% in the price of food. Assessing a charge for using a credit card in 2019 is kind of backwards.

If you are ever in Cherry Log you need to check out the Pink Pig. Its the only business in Cherry Log besides the Post Office so hard to miss. The Bar-B-Q and deserts are worth the trip and their Brunswick stew is one of our favorites.

So I arrived at about 8:10, not knowing they close at 8:00. When the girl was telling me, a gentleman stepped up and said as long as I didnt want anything grilled, they could probably accommodate. Obviously I looked hungry after a long trip.
I got the brisket, pulled pork combo, which was excellent. As a side I got the Brunswick Stew. The BS was absolutely the best I have ever had. If that was all I had ordered, I would give them 5 stars. You have to try it.

What a pleasant after noon meal. We had the "Senior Special" of pulled pork, bake beans, cold slaw and hand cut fries. Perfect about of food and had just enough room for the awesome desert of Apple pie and Banana pudding. The Pink Pig is operated by a group of hard working, friendly folks who go out of there way to make your dining experience one that you'll look forward to coming back for more!

This was my first visit to this establishment, but it came highly recommended to us. The restaurant is located just off the main highway in a location normally not desirable. In other words, the people who come here, come for a purpose. The staff is friendly and courteous and our food arrived promptly. I sampled the sliced pork, brisket tacos, and pork quesadillas. Wow! The food here is great! Normally, I wouldn't try anything as silly as bbq tacos and quesadillas, but I would have missed out on a great meal, if I had. I you find yourself near Blue Ridge or Ellijay, you should definitely check out this restaurant. I will return every time I visit the area. You should too!
