I became ill and went to hospital. HR knew I was sick. When I returned to work... I no longer had access to the building. I was told I was laid off and they kept my personal belongings on my desk. Very unprofessional!!!

Overall very bad company. Very unprofessional, a lot of favoritism shown from the managers. A lot of in-house gossip. Some employees get high and drunk on their lunch breaks and come back in and there's no discipline shown. Something had went terribly wrong with my metrics to a point to where it wasn't being credited to me and it took management two months to "fix it." Hazel Nassir, the wife of the founder, Bill Nassir, is racist towards all people of color. I worked there for a year and, despite good metrics and outstanding performance and punctuality, a raise was not even considered. They did pay 11.25 at first but as the new year of 2017 came in they informed the top performers that we'd be receiving a raise if we kept it up. When the New Year came the only raise that was given was the raise they were to give us which was mandatory because the minimum wage went up to 11.50. Turnover rate at this place is skyrocketing. Management treats employees like less than a human being. If you want to be treated this way, unfairly, and be in this sort of atmosphere then I'd recommend this place to you.

I just started at this job and the owner Hazel has a nasty demeanor about herself she don t know how to talk to people I feel like walking out of class but I have a son and we are homeless and I need a job she shouldn t act like that she don t know what nobody is going through and acting like she better because she rich but one thing I know God will take all that away never look down on people she don t know their story. This place is so unprofessional and they trying to setup you for failure just put you on the floor in two days they said training was one week they lied. Go come here for a job.

It's a good place to learn new skills and understand how a contact center works. For me, I learned how to have confidence in myself. When I began on the phones in 2004, I was a newly single mother of 3 daughters and about 21 years old. I didn't know what I was good at or if this job would be a good fit for me. I was really good at the sales part from the beginning but I learned so much from the leaders here over time that I was actually the one running the day to day operations. When I left here after working at Phone Ware/Phone Net for more than 14 years, I had learned a lot about how to manage people, how to communicate effectively but most importantly I learned a lot about myself.

Phone Ware has been a good stepping stone in my life and has allowed me to move on to bigger and better things for myself.

This job was my career which allowed me to be able to support my children when they were young.

I especially appreciate all of the mentoring from Jim Rochford. He tought me the important things like PowerPoint, Access and how to do client presentations. Also Hazel who taught me to never answer questions that I know the answer to with "I don't know" before giving the right answer. That one will always stay with me.

Bill, thanks for having confidence in me and allowing me to screw up on my own. That's how I learned how to fix what I messed up.

Over all, PWI was a great experience for me and gave me so much more than just a job. It helped mold me into who I am today.

The only surprising thing about all these horrible reviews is that some of them are new. That means more people have been suckered into working at this terrible company. DO NOT WORK AT PHONEWARE! Believe me when I say you are better off being unemployed than you would be working at this unappreciative, soul-sucking place.

This is a company that preys upon the unemployable. They only hire people even McDonald's would reject, then works them six days per week (at about 25 cents an hour above minimum wage with no overtime) until even those losers finally wise up and bail on Phoneware. They're able to get away with not paying overtime because Monday through Friday, you don't work a full 40-hour week, you only work 35 hours. So to make up the difference, you're required to work five hours on either Saturday or Sunday...you only get one day off per week. That's an extra day you have to pay for gas, bus fare, day care etc. to get to work, but you don't get any extra pay. This is how Phoneware has been able to stay in business for decades. Their unethical business practices and poverty-level wages allow them to underbid all their competitors and still make a profit. But it's not like YOU'LL see any of those profits. The husband and wife who own the company are rich beyond your imagination. They own a yacht, a beachfront mansion and a fleet of $90,000+ cars...all bought with the sweat of their underpaid, "slave labor." They are despicable people who run a shameful company.

If you work hard, you will move up. Life is simple as that and so is Phone Ware. I've only been working at Phone Ware for a little over a year. I will not say that it is all rainbow and unicorn because it is a job. We will always be displeased at one thing or another at every job, so I find that VERY NORMAL. When you first do paperwork with the Phone Ware, they'll tell you how much your hourly will be. If you don't like, don't take it. Why complain after being PAID by this company to pay for YOUR BILLS?? I truly don't get it! What I find sad is that THE PEOPLE THAT ARE HAPPY with Phone Ware don't really express their feelings on the internet. Then again it is human nature to be vocal when we are unhappy and stay silent when things are good.
