I took my car to Pacific Honda for a Safety Inspection and an oil change despite what I'd been warned. Ron C., the Asst. Service Mgr., was great, explaining everything and even giving me a 10% off coupon that I hadn't seen on the internet. Ask for him, if you go. They give you the option to drop-off or wait for your vehicle, I'd suggest dropping off, even though their waiting room is spacious and you can sit at tables, on their couches and watch TV, access the internet with 4 PCs and have complimentary coffee, tea, and cappuccino. They even washed the car. How can you go wrong?!! May be a little more than some other places but they don't try to "up-sell" you with things you don't want (blinker fluid - hee, hee!). Also, when I turn it back in after the lease is up, they can only say good things about the servicing done. Nice work, Pacific Honda!

Brought in my car for the Takata airbag recall and...

Brought in my car for the Takata airbag recall and the servcing caused additional damage to the dashboard area. The manager said, "I'm not going to pay for something that was already damaged." I don't think he even looked at the damage. He asked me what I thought was fair and I said that I thought it was fair for me to leave with my car in the same condition as when I brought itin. He refused to make the repairs that would be necessary. The folks at the desk are wonderful but the manager was clearly not there for the customers.

When I bought my car here, everyone was nice. But I hate coming in for services. Absolutely no customer service in the service department. I dropped my car off shortly after 8 for 8:30 maintenance appointment but I am still waiting for them to finish at 2:41pm. And they don t have loaner cars like they said.

Sold my vehicle that I bought from this dealership and when I turned in my paper work to get what ever was left on my prepaid gap insurance this dealership has no paperwork from me. I pulled up my email, which I still have, dated April 12 2016. Been trying to talk to the finance manager for the last 6 hours and still no call back. Horrible customer service. I would put no stars but you can not post without least putting one.

First off this review is for the service department. So I read the reviews for this place and most of them sounded pretty terrible but they were all around 8+ months old. Since my appointment was today, I decided to Yolo and go anyway.

If it's your first time here, the entrance can be a little tricky to find. Its on Queen Emma St and looks like the entrance to a parking garage. Just follow the signs for "service." Somebody took my car as soon as I arrived. I sat down inside and waited to be helped and thought to myself "okay this is where things will go bad." 5 minutes later a cute girl comes out and apologizes profusely for the wait, which bare in mind was only 5 minutes. While checking me in, she hands me off to somebody else who again apologizes profusely for the wait. After getting me checked in he tells me it will be about a 3 hr wait and recommends some nearby places to check out. So instead of sitting in the waiting room, I walked around town and got some udon. 3 hrs later I got a call saying my car was ready.

To sum things up: I went here expecting horrible service and was instead blown away by how professional and courteous everyone was. Plus there are a ton of places nearby to eat or just peruse while you wait.

Leeanne shishido was very rude and tried to have me purchase things I did not need. I also had to wait almost 3 hours just for an oil change. I had an appointment scheduled days in advance to reduce the wait time. She tried to say I needed new wipers when mine are brand new. She also provided me a extremely overpriced quote just to check a light for my fuel cap to be tightened. I highly recommend not coming here unless you d like to pay for things that do not need to be replaced. I am not the kind of person to complain, I actually have never made a review before, but the customer service I received here was so poor that it warranted a review. Very unhappy and will never be returning.

Great service, ideal location for those who work and live downtown. Ron Cassidy is great! Will give you a very thorough explanation of everything done to your car and look for recalls. The car always looks and works great after I drop it off. They do offer car washes with service.

I've only been here twice for service (airbag replacement and another recall) but everyone was friendly and professional and the repairs were done very quickly. It was a bit hard to get a call back from the service dept which was frustrating but in the end it was a great place to get my car serviced.

I bought my Honda in Nov 2019. It is now Jan 13th, 2020, and My registration isn't done. 7 weeks have passed, and my son went to take his driver's test, only to be declined due to the registration not being done by the dealership.
I called the dealership and they said they still have not even taken it to the dmv after SEVEN full weeks. My son is heart broken. it takes so long to get a new test date.

EDIT - I did call the number below and spoke to Kyle. He called my son to apologize. That's nice, but not a solution. I asked him to give my son a gift card to the service dept, he declined.

I told him I will call the owners, and he HUNG UP on me.

Typical shady sales tactics. Guy promised not to cash my $500 check to reserve a model they ordered for me from the mainland. Then he cashed it anyway. I noticed right away; so I called him and cancelled the order and got the money back. Went to Windward Honda, and they were 10 times nicer. Bought there. ... Later when I called to ask about a minor problem, Honda Pacific says bring it in and we'll take a look, $150 diagnostic charge minimum. Called Windward, guy gave me free troubleshooting advice over the phone. Stay away from Pacific Honda.

Very smooth and professional sales experience with Stan Lum. He prepped all the paperwork and the wait time was minimal. Robert Clark (finance) was friendly and pleasant and walked us through all the appropriate paperwork in a very expeditious manner which was very important for us. We always choose the team of Stan and Robert because they respect our precious time and realize we have
a business of our own to run. That is why we have purchased 4 Hondas from Stan and Robert and with terrific service support from Mike Igarashi will definitely purchase more in the future!

Bought my car from them in November of 2019. When i was doing the paper work the manager was getting too pushy on the add ons, as I understand he is just trying to make money, however his level of pushy was completely unnecessary. I turned in my nonresident form and they were going to take my paper work to the DMV with out my nonresident form, luckily I called and asked if they took it. I was told I would get my refund in about two weeks and I have yet to receive it.

So I can't speak for their service dept. yet but I can say that Alex Shu in sales provided some of the best customer service you can get. While listening and answering all my questions he went out of his way to take care of my family and me. His hospitality really went far and made the experience like I was buying from an old friend. His dimeanor was very genuine and his patience (despite my restricted budget and screaming two year old), really made the purchase that much better.

Was here for an oil change. Appointment was at 930. It is over two hours later and still here. They claim they have a lot of people. I have watched people that arrived after myself be done and leave.
I have checked on my car a couple times. Still same answer. We are busy. Explained it does not take over two hours to do an oil change and they had no come back. I have noticed they seem much more attentive and quick to serve those that are Asian. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Love! Love! Their service department. Scott who ALWAYS have a smile on his face and makes me feel welcome to Ryan who goes through my service with perfect understanding and to Rochelle who greets and treats each customer like they're the only ones there.
In fact, each staff in the service is awesome and they all treat you like family...exactly what their commercial says.

Bill made the purchase of my 2015 Honda Civic a very clear cut, hassel free and enjoyable experience. He even made sure that I was getting the best deal as a member of the Coast Guard without me even having to ask first. Then when it came time to close the deal Doug took the time to honestly explain and offer the extras that would make sense for my individual needs without being pushy about anything else. Very pleasant, courteous and professional staff that I recommend and would definitely do business with again. Thank you very much!

Not only is this dealership notorious for its location and hard-to-find parking with absolutely no signs, the staff is clueless as well, not to mention unprofessional and rude. Tried to buy a new car there today. Couldn't find parking. Was told by one of the staff to park in a certain spot. When I came back to my car, one of the staff had left a nasty hand-written note on my car that I shouldn't be parking there and to read the signs next time. I confronted a guy that initially ignored me when I pulled into my parking spot and he yelled at me for accusing him. If they treat you this badly before you buy the car, I'd hate to guess how bad it gets after that. Deal broken.

This is the worst service I have ever experienced at an auto shop. I had an appointment for 6:30 AM, and did not speak to a service representative until 7:15 AM. This made me an hour late for work. I was told I would be called in an hour with an estimate. I was never called. I called the following day at noon and left a message with the representative, who never called me back. I called a second time four hours later and left a second message. I was never called back, so I walked from my home to the dealership, where the representative claimed he'd called me earlier that day. Turns out that my car had been ready to go for hours. The work on the car appears to be adequate but the customer service gets an F. If I can avoid it I'm never coming back here.

I went right after work and within a couple of hours I was out the door with the truck I wanted and the price agreed upon with no if and or buts! Had two terrible experiences with different salesman. (Stanley Lum FARTED in the car during the test drive and didn't even say excuse me or sorry then offered us a price a few thousand over the price on Pacific Honda's own website, he seemed like the stereotypical slimy car salesman....). However, Doug Oda was fantastic! Friendly, positive, and informative, he really seemed to want to help us make sure we made the best decision for us. I would highly recommend Doug Oda for anyone wanting to buy a vehicle. If it was just Doug I would give 5 stars.

Jordan Nip was excellent from the very beginning of our car shopping experience! We reached out to several dealerships durning our search and none of them were as professional and helpful as Jordan. I was never hounded for a sale nor did we receive generic follow up emails/calls daily, like we did with other dealerships. I reached out on Pacific Honda s website and Jordan responded very quickly with the information requested. Jordan was extremely knowledgeable and very quick to answer my MANY questions! After the test drive, we still continued to communicate via email even throughout the negotiations process. This was the easiest, smoothest and least stressful car buying experience that we have ever endured. We never once felt like we were getting haggled or pushed into something just to make a sale. Even during the times of COVID, the signing processes was super easy and quick. I highly recommend Jordan and the Pacific Honda team!

Amazing experience with Fernando. I went to honolulu ford where I was completely disrespected,then a few other places that were nice and i even thought about buying from cutter Ford as they were nice as well, but then I came to pacific honda. Very glad I walked in here, they didn't have the vehicle I was looking for but they helped me find one that I fell in love with in my price range. The customer service with Brian, Fernando and Alex was unmatched. I honestly felt like they were trying to help me and were not being pushy at all. It was amazing and definitely part of why I stayed. They were respectful, willing to help even though I came in looking scruffy (wrinkled shirt and shorts from the move, and dirty shoes from stepping in a puddle earlier that day at a different dealership) and they didn't push. they showed me options I narrowed it down and found one I liked. So happy I came here and im loving my honda hr-v!

If you ever need a new vehicle in Honolulu, come to this dealer find Stanley Lum. My wife and I recently got a new Civic Si. We ruined Stanley s plans for the night because traffic held us for about an hour but no problem for Stan, he stayed and satisfied our needs and we ended up with the car. He even went as far as hiding the vehicle that we want so no one would buy it (no he didn t, I m just joking about that part)! But seriously, come see Stan. He s a genuine honest man and will not try to trick you or anything. It was great knowing him as well in our short time conversing. I m sure we ll see him around in the future when we have my wife s car serviced and get our free hot chocolate. Thanks Stan!

Nice size inventory considering the location of this place. The still use the same old tired dealership tactics to try and reel in a buyer. The sale rep we started with, went and got his manager after I ask him for Carfax on a car and I never saw him again but I did get have two other reps try and get me to buy a car. So damn annoying and unnecessary.

They got rid of the free safety inspection for the new year. Just a little added salt for your wounds after SURPRISE everything costs 2-3 times what you anticipated. The people are nice and the coffee's good, but you're still in hell. And it's actually the most expensive cup of coffee you've ever had.

Excellent service from Lee-Ann Shishido and the Service Department. When I lost the keys to a rental car in Waikiki, Lee Ann and the Pacific Honda team came to the rescue. When the rental car company threw me under the bus, they were willing to do any and all possible to make a bad situation good. I live in Atlanta and am a 3 Honda family. We are happy with our "southern" Honda team, but Pacific sets a new standard for excellence. Thanks again for a great experience.

DISHONEST. pay close attention to the paperwork. long story short, made a deal with Bill Tang,,, when came to the paperwork was not what we agreed on,,, then he blames the finance manager Doug Oda, then it turns into a he said she said game, and they also tryd to convince me that the paperwork was correct. i should have left after that train of lies but my ignorance got the best of me. An expensive lesson learned, wouldn't want anyone else to go thru that. Take notice of thier reviews, and compared to other Hawaii honda dealers, they have a history of negativity... HONEST HARDWORKING PEOPLE OF HAWAII DO NOT SUPPORT DISHONEST PEOPLE. Feed an honest persons ohana. may you be blessed the same way you bless others.

I took my Honda Element 2003 for an airbag recall ...

I took my Honda Element 2003 for an airbag recall on September 10th.
They gave me my car back with no AC and no fan working.
AC and fan were working fine at the time I dropped off my car. Mike Igarashi told me that it's unfortunate but that happens. Basically implying that it was not their fault and that it was just by pure coincidence that it happened when the car was under their watch. Right ! Mike took the car to the technician, came back and said that it was a faulty transistor module. Curiously, all the HVAC electronic system in this car is under the passenger airbag! ... and the battery had not been disconnected because I didn't have to recode the radio.
Mike quoted me $410 to fix something they obviously broke (they are forums talking about this very issue)
I called Honda USA and they said I had to resolve this with the dealership.
I tried to call the manager but was told that he was on vacation. I tried to get the assistant manager and they sent me to Mike Igarashi 's voicemail.

Friday (tomorrow), I take my car in and I am hoping they fix my AC for free. If they do, it's 5 stars. Meantime I give 2 stars

We have been going to Pacific Honda for oil change since we purchased our Civic and were always been treated with courtesy and friendliness by the customer rep and always explain what is needed to be done.

Called in to schedule the airbag recall, they said it be two weeks before they can get the parts. Fair enough. Asked about a loaner or rental car, they service rep said "the car is safe to drive". Not entirely true. I then inquired about the "shotgun-in-face" nature of the recall, and the rep hung up. WOW!" Here is a quote straight from Honda's official website:

"Authorized Honda and Acura dealerships will make appropriate repairs at no charge to the customer. If an owner requests alternative transportation while awaiting repair, while the repair is in progress, or if there is a delay in repairing a vehicle affected by a driver s airbag inflator recall, Honda and Acura dealers are authorized to provide a free loaner or rental vehicle."

I Had an appointment and didn't Get looked at until 43 minutes later. It's always the same with this dealer. Service is poor and good luck trying to get anything done that adds a few minutes of work to anyone's schedule there, unless it's buying a car.

Purchased a new 2015 honda accord hybrid! The car itself is decent spacious great gas mileage and good temperature control inside the car. The reason i am writing this review with only a one star review is because of four things which are the usb port, the speakers, dent protection, customer service, and finaly the price of the honda care 60 months 80000 miles. So to break it down in detail my usb port inside my vehicle is useless does not charge my phone and does not play music through it I have an andriod which shouldnt matter but apparently it does and they dont care to tell you that here. Honestly if i was an outsider looking in i would think im an idiot for not checking but honda is supposed to have a good reputation hench i didnt think they would sell me useless things! Alright secoundly the speakers inside my new 2015 car sound like i purchased an old broke down 1990 honda! The sound quality is so terrible every single person who has ridden in my car have sayed somthing and also questioned honda integrity on selling me a vehicle. Once again i didnt investigate it to the extent of a week of using it but who would brand new cars should have excellent sound quality i mean im not asking for the whole world to hear me coming but a decent treble that sounds balanced instead of sounding as if its going to blow would be nice! Thirdly the dent protection im not going to go into much detail about it but besides the fact they never offered it to me once which having a new car i would definently want to have that at minimum offered to me. Lastly I am going to talk about the 60 months 80000 miles warrenty. In the break down of purchasing the vehicle they told me that they had cut the warrenty in half which now researching it they did not they charged me 1250 for it which im pretty sure is full price but who really knows ever person i talked to says they dont either know or dont have anything solid to show me besides the word of mouth which is crab! In conclusion instead of being a child and writing this review before trying to resolve this issue i tried to talk to a manager to see if we could have me completly satisfied with my purchase! My attempt was a failer after speaking to an assistant manager of not even thr sales departent or of financing. What he told me is, after clarifying, is that the speakers and the usb prob is because honda just sells crap and that i could write them and see what they say. With the honda care he didnt know anything about it or the prices and with the dent repair well will see im here currently to see what they are going to offer me! Really i shouldnt walk into a building that seems so up class and then walk out feeling like i just left a ghetto car dealership that just sold me a car with no tires!!

I had to wait over 30 minutes to be be checked in despite having an appointment. They neither washed my car nor even vacuumed it out even though I spent over $500 for a schedule service. 149/hr labor charge. On the plus side Ron, the assistant service manager was very pleasant and thorough.

Hai Nguyen is the gentleman that everybody needs to see here! He connected with my husband and I as soon as we walked through the door and explained every detail about each of the cars we looked at. Hai especially made sure we found to right car to fit in with our lifestyle and assisted us with the car buying process and explained everything to the T, he is amazing to work with and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Horrible. Got a tire rotation and oil change. Next day "a rock got in between my break pad and rotor". Had to get a tow there and they told me it just happens. Which I'm sure it does but not the morning after I received service for my car. I've lived down a dirt road for years never experienced it. I live 2 miles from this dealership via paved road. I guarantee if I didn't receive that service "a rock" wouldn't have got in between my break pad and rotor. Cost me 300$ to fix the rotor and get a new break pad.

I was on the hunt for a used car. Originally, I was looking online at different dealerships for Honda Accords. I ended up going car hunting, and my family and I decided to stop in to Pac Honda just to LOOK at what type of used cars they had about ten minutes before they closed. William took us upstairs to check out their used cars and asked if I wanted to test drive a car that I was interested in. Although they were already closed by the time, William was very accommodating. After test driving I really wanted to get the car, but was not expecting to take it home that night. William was able to let that happen for me, and I was excited. We met with Robert after to finance and finalize everything, and he was very accommodating as well. He was really funny and making jokes here and there. Excellent customer service, and I'll definitely be back to return for a brand new Honda! :)
