I have been comming to Pete's Eats for years but I was very disappointed by my last visit. Grumpy and rude staff, very slow service, long waits for mediocre food. I think I will take my business elsewhere in future.

When you've spent the day in the mountains, working up a big appetite, then the place to go is definitely Pete's Eats! There's healthy salads if you prefer but a big calorie-laden plateful really hits the spot!

Always eat here whenever I visit Llanberis, always friendly and a great place to relax after a hard day on the mountains.

Monster meals. Good value for money and great for hungry walkers.

I thought I was hungry when I arrived! I definitely wasn't when I left. Portions are huge, very good value.

Great food at a reasonable price. Especially nice to visit after a day on Llyn Padarn.

Ordered breakfast , drank my mug of tea before it arrived, but it is a great place to eat and I was more than satisfied with the prices , will be visiting again with family

I live this cafe. I eat here whenever I'm in North Wales. The are brilliant and the food is Lush.

Great cooked breakfast yesterday, including HUGE mugs of tea! Kid friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Car park 20m away. Free wi-fi. Quick service.

The best cafe in the world and the start and end of the best walks in the UK. Only possible complaint is that it is so popular, some of the clientele can't fathom how to cue considerately, and they've had to take out the juke box (!)

Massive mug of tea and a fantastic fried breakfast with all of the trimmings. All for a reasonable price too!

2 hot chocolates were loot warm at best the young lad behind the counter forgot my oder so had repeat it to him, took around half an hour to bring out a jacket potato then offered a can for the rubbish service what a joke this place is wasn't even busy at the time of order sure it got forgotten

Considering that the selection of places to eat in the evening in Llanberis is quite limited during the off-season, you can always rely on Pete's eats to serve the goods. Good portions, good value with the minimum of fuss.

Fantastic cafe for walkers and climbers - lacking in vegan options though

Pretty dammed good place, even with the new owner the vibe hasn't changed.
Macaroni cheese 10/10

Good, basic, solid meals at sensible prices. My friend had a breakfast and got what you would have expected, but I had liver, bacon and onions and it was very good. They even let me swap chips for a healthier jacket potato without fuss. Good value for money.

I understand covid19 has created restrictions. This wasn't my issue. We were greeted at the door and shown to a seat facing a wall (understandable with social distancing in small venues). We had been told to take a seat and someone would be with us. After waiting about half an hour, and watching people being served around us who arrived after us, I decided to go to the counter. I was told again we would be served at our table. I said to the woman that was fine however we had been waiting some time. A good few minutes later a waitress approached and greeted us with "What do you want?". Other patrons were given forms for track and trace we weren't. Once the food arrived it was given to us abruptly and we were left. No offer of anything else such as more drinks or condiments (we had ordered hot drinks and they where now gone after the wait for food).
The food, although fine, wasn't brilliant but we did get rather big portions for the price paid. My husband, however, found a fragment of metal in his rice. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service already received, neither of us felt confident to approach a staff member to report the problem. By this point, we really just wanted to eat and go seeing as we had already paid before recieving our food. The atmosphere I would say is like a student union where customer service doesn't matter and food is tasty and affordable. I wouldn't rush back, nor would I recommend it to my friends. There are nicer places to eat in Llanberis for a similar price with better food and infinitely better service.
Pete's Eats seems to value style over substance. The place lacks style. That says everything about the substance.
Food: 4/10
Customer Service: 1/10.

Great food and staff set up for walkers and climbers with food to match the appetite developed doing these activities don't visit North Wales and not eat here.

Typical diner food. Good prices. We devoured our burgers after our long hike. Very friendly staff!

After a walk around the lake this was the perfect place to recharge the batteries. Lovely friendly staff. A must visit.

The sort of cafe that seems to have died out in the last twenty years, but is very vibrant and alive here. The food is cheap and nice, most meals consisting of a homemade speciality (I had the delicious spinach pie, would definitely recommend) with a massive portion of chips. Perfect after you ve walked up a mountain.

If you are tired and hungry and need a substantial and good meal with a massive cup of tea then this is the place for you.

Food service not good, really loud, bad music. Food not great. Missed off daughters food, came after we'd all finished. No apology from staff. Shame.

Dropped by Pete's Eats for the first time ever as the coffee pot was closed,will definitely be popping in again.Had a fantastic brekkie and a flapjack to die for.Good friendly staff.

Often call in for lunch or tea when we are in Llanberis. Pete's Eats is famous amongst walkers cyclists and climbers. Great chilli (veg & meat). Lovely Currys and Stews. Chips delicious. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

My burger was awful... Just not tasty. It is not even average. Just bad... Massive pieces of onion inside, gurkins also taste bad... I couldn't finish mine. But it is very cheap. Place for people who came down mountains very hungry and they dont care what to eat.

The veggie burger is like something from the 1990s. Dreadful. The chef needs to have a No Bull burger from Iceland then re-evaluate his suppliers.

A picturesque small town pub definitely worth a visit, great food with good sized portions. Seem to be handling covid well.

What can I say about Petes eats. A great cafe producting fantastic food i never get feed up with Petes eat. I will go back time after time.

Amazing place it felt so friendly and I'm pretty sure I had the best cheese toastie in my life and it's really well priced

Climb mountains then come here for an all day breakfast and a massive mug of tea

My order was forgotten so turned up late after I reminded them but they were very apologetic about it and gave me a free cup of tea. The food was otherwise delicious and great value for money!!

Big portions, low prices. Not Haute Cuisine but that isn't what this place about. Perfect for refuelling after a day in the mountains or in my case, a day working up in the mountains.
