2.5 stars really....Friendly staff, can be a little slow but the main reason it gets 2 stars from me is it is very pricy $450+ to replace 2 mid range tires, could get all four done at other shops for the same price as they charge $100 install per tire, which is outrageous...But if you are in a pinch they aren t the worst option if you don t mind the $$$ and have time to kill.

Great experience! Kyle and Mike worked with on fitting me in last minute and on pricing. Really good guys. Mike was thorough and listened to my concerns with vehicle and gave me best options. Kyle was excellent with working within my budget and really really helped me out on the sales front. Together Kyle and Mike really is a testament to great customer service and will go back again! Andorra location has my service!!

All you get here is a lot of shoulder shrugging. I was told that with my oil changes my brakes are checked. About a year ago I hear a grinding even though I had been to this shop 3 months earlier. It turned out one of my brake pads was ground down to the rotor. Recently, I came in for my yearly inspection. I had recently been hit and my bumper was mildly loose. Pepboys charged me $56 to literally put a few zip ties on which I agreed to because I was then threatened with having to come back to pay another $30 if I did the zip ties myself or after I had it fixed.

Do not come here, they do sloppy work and take advantage of you whenever possible.

I was hesitant to go here because of the reviews but when your car starts billowing smoke, you don't always have much of a choice. The staff took care of me quickly and cheaply. Jessica was extremely friendly and helped me to be less anxious. She even gave me 10 percent off without asking. I couldn't have asked for more!

a lot of scamming and unnecessary service option given and some not done. My car was damaged on the hood there and they denied that.
They change parts like spark plugs even though it is not needed as item like these make a lot of profit....200 - 300%.
Don't want to take my car there ever again.

This has to be one of the better staffed pep boys service departments in the chain. They are friendly and knowledgeable.

Pep Boys on Ridge Avenue is a great auto parts and service store. We have been using them for over a year and have brought the car in many times. They really just recommend what is necessary at a fair price. They are quick, available and friendly. We will definitely continue to go back for any issues we may have.

Went in for 2 new tires, but I have an all wheel drive car that needed all 4 tires replaced apparently. The tires they put on, according to my dealership, are already 2 years old, so I will need to get them replaced much sooner than intended when I paid $800 for them. Not sure which tires they put on but now I can feel EVERY bump on the road, I check the tires everyday because I feel like I have a flat! I didn t ask for aggressive tires as they call them, and I don t like feeling like my tires are going to go flat at any moment while driving.... will NEVER go back.

Just left the automotive department. I had an issue with a tire and they took care of it, no charge. I learned that many of the air stations at local gas stations don't function properly.

These guys take great care of our fleet! Always excellent.

I had a great experience with this pep boys. I had to be jumped twice today due to a dead battery. I was a little frustrated since I bought the battery in January and didn t quite know how it was going to play out. The customer service I experienced was like none other. Not only did they return my battery but a service worker came out, took out my battery, and then replaced it. All for free and within an hour of closing. I bought a house down the street a few months ago and I am so happy to know I live near this pep boys after my experience today. Kudos to those guys tonight! You helped me out soo much!! I will for sure be back to this location for my future needs.

If this is what you call a tire repair, I'm never taking my car to this establishment ever again. All my years of getting tires plugged this is by far the worst I have ever seen. Hands down. I was considering getting inspections here in the future. Thanks for saving me from that.

Typical auto parts store good prices but the help is lacking

Took car in for inspection and they lied through their teeth.

The tire salesmen Devon is a criminal and lies nonstop, then lies to cover up his lies.

These people are scumbags and have no respect for people or the cars they work on.

Besides them trying to scam you, the inside of my car was a mess. It looked like someone broke into my car and ripped everything out of the compartments.

Great experience staff is very pleasant and helpful went there for windshield wipers blades and they put them on for me total opposite experience than what I had at Advance Auto where they would not do that for me

I busted a tire and went to Pep Boys to get it and one other tire replaced. They wanted to charge me $559 for three tires and an alignment. I drive a 2009 Chevy Aveo with 185/60R15 tires. I called the local place that I usually go to, and they quoted me $255 for the same job. So, I asked Pep Boys to replace only one tire, so that I could get the rest done at the local place. They charged me $185 to replace one tire. For comparison, the local place quoted me $175 to buy and replace two tires.

They charged me $68 just for the labor to change one tire.

So grateful for sensitive folks! They made me feel like royalty in here! After an embarrassing episode at another auto parts store, this place helped me realize nice people still exist.

I brought my car here for an oil change and the next morning discovered that they had stolen the entire contents of my change person that was located in the center console of my car. The change purse was completely filled with quarters that I use for when I need to park in the city. Scumbags.

Brought my 10 year old Passat in for maintenance (belts, oil change). 3 weeks later the serpentine belt is SCREECHING. Brought it back and had them check the check engine light (on for a few days before I brought it in) - replaced the belt without explaining why it was squealing, and said that the check engine light was a camshaft issue (checked it myself using a friend's code reader - it was a vacuum leak, meaning the gas cap wasn't fully tightened - FIRST LIE). They said I needed to have a $90 diagnostic just to FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE WAS (pre-repair cost). I said no, and they said I wouldn't pass emissions in July (when inspection was due).

The light went off the day after I got gas (and fully tightened the cap), and I got my inspection done... at Meineke... without ANY ISSUES.

Pepboys workers have enough time to work on your car, so they'll find ANYTHING wrong with it, just to 1) Give their mechanics something to do and 2) to bleed you dry of money.

Lesson learned - stick to smaller shops that do what they need to do, and ONLY what they need to do.

Came in to get a tire patched and was in a hurry. I told them so, and instead of being huffy about it they were so nice and accommodating and got me on my way fast! Price was great too!

My husband called about bringing his car in for an oil change and was told it would be about an hour and a half. So we drop the car off. Three hours later having not heard from them he called and was told it would be another couple hours. Another three hours later we call again. Oh there are still two cars ahead of us and maybe we will have to pick up tomorrow. Like I m sorry this place is an absolute joke. Six+ hours for an oil change!!

This location is a little hard to access, as the only entrance to the parking lot is at the traffic light on Ridge Ave. I was hoping I could get in a different way, but there's no access anywhere else.

That said, it's a pretty good store with both the storefront and the shop, and they're always good about putting air in your tires if you bring your car near the bay.

Assistant manager is a great help. Great suggestions,goes out of her way to help.Prices very competitive. A lot like the good old days @ PepBoys .

Dropped car at 7:00 am. 5:00 pm still waiting for new tires to be put on. Ridiculous

Took them an hour to replace my battery. This is a 5 minute job max. I would have done it myself but they were going to charge me more on the website when I purchased the battery. And after the hour, I decided to check their work out and the guy didn t even fasten my battery down correctly. If I have any issues with my battery, I ll be going to a different pep boys (only b/c of be warranty) instead of dealing with these slackers. If they can t do a simple battery change correctly, I wouldn t dare trust them to any other work on a vehicle. Stay away.

Loyal Pep Boys customer for 20+ years but won't be going back after today. Quoted just over $600 for brakes on my van and lo and behold as soon as they had it on the lift the price changed to over $900 despite only adding in $44 in additional parts from the initial quote. Told my wait would be around 2 hours, and I just left after 3+ when they told me it would be another 3+ hours since they didn't order the parts they assured me would be ordered and in stock when I brought the vehicle in for my appointment that was set over a week ago. Feeling a bit baited and switched on this simple job. Very, very poor job on this one Pep Boys.

The people at the parts counter are always very helpful.

Bought wind shield wiper blades and the put them on for nothing. Very nice people

I've been here a number of times it's a nice clean store people are very friendly and helpful.

Went to have all 4 tires changed on a 99 Toyota Corolla. (small car, small wheels) Scheduling an appointment was fast and easy. Those who I talked to were kind and accommodating. Paid a lower price than the original estimate too! Must have gotten lucky.
I dropped the car off on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm. The crew seemed to be a little busy but still managed to squeeze me in. Had everything done in about 3 hours. I recommend dropping the car off rather than waiting in the lounge area as wait times may vary.

Worst experience ever! It took 5 calls to get an appointment for a simple car inspection. We took car in, on time, and when we got to counter - NO APPOINTMENT! The manager himself says, "ya, sorry, that guy messed up all day but there is no way that I can help. Just leave it and I will get to it sometime tomorrow." Really? Your employee messed up all day with a lot of others too and it is now our fault that we need to be inconvenienced? I would rather get a ticket! Horrible service, horrible customer care. Never again.

I came in on a Sunday morning with a dead battery that I thought was still under warranty, no receipt, no tools to get it out, and a couple of exhausted and hyper kids in tow. John was amazingly kind and helpful! He removed the battery for us, was able to look it up and find that the warranty did still apply, and showed us how to install the new one. He made a very stressful situation much better and saved us over $100!

So tired of this place , spend more time complaining to customer service then they are worth . Between the staff being inconvenienced with your presence , rude to the point of disrespectful , and just flat out misrepresenting their products , I'm done . Theres 4 other auto supply stores within 3 miles , why bother any more.

I use Pep Boys for my car service. I have developed a relationship with service staff over several years and appreciate their honesty about required service and cost. Service Dept is quick and efficient.

Outstanding service especially the young lady at the front desk..in and out quickly after checking work very happy with the install of battery and complimentary check of air in tires

This PEP boys Blows. Dropped car off for a new tire. Literally a ten minute job. the car sat for six and a half hours and did not get done. No phone call, nothing indicating it would not be done before closing. Will never ever ever go there again.

Awful store. Sometimes hard to find an employee. Wait times are hours long for simple things. Always have a new problem with the car after leaving here.

Adding on to this review they have also lost the key to my car. Never come here.

BIG improvement since they got new management. Allison has been getting the store back on track.

I never write reviews but I really felt that I needed to call this Pep Boy's out for their great service.

Had an oil change scheduled a couple months ago - it was late in the afternoon and they were running behind. I was updated throughout their progress and they were very sympathetic of their lateness. It ended up being 1+ hour before they even got my car in the bay. They ended up giving me the oil change for free.

A few weeks after that I had a low tire pressure sensor go off my car. I pulled in on my way to work and could hear the air hissing out of it. I was greeted by a few guys and they did everything they could to help. Changed my valve and I was on my way in a matter of mins. Everyone was super friendly - these guys are great.

Really wished I would have looked at these reviews before going to this Pep Boys for a PA Inspection. My experience was just like others listed here and worse. I was told that I needed over $700 in mandatory work before I would pass inspection. I also witnessed a quote of over $1000 for another customer. They did knock some things off their "mandatory" list...got me thinking. I left without the work done because I was suspicious that I was being scammed. Five minutes down the road, I got a flat on what was a perfectly good tire. When I did some research on mechanics in my neighborhood, I found a great local business with excellent reviews. NONE OF THE WORK that Pep Boys said was mandatory was needed. WHAT A SCAM. I had to pay the inspection fee twice. At least, I know never to go to Pep Boys on Ridge Ave in Philly again. AND I found a fabulous, honest local mechanic who is fair, respectful and reasonably priced!

I cannot say enough about this store! The store is spotless and the employees are knowledgeable, eager to help, and so nice and polite. I always find everything that I need at prices way lower than anywhere else. It's rare to find employess that really seem to genuinely care about your well being and being safe on the road. These guys always go above and beyond for me and are so humble about it. I love Pep Boys!!!!

Very friendly, helpful staff. The location of some items in the aisles didn't quite make sense , but at least the employees were readily there to help!
