Great local Art Deco cinema. A bar, and an ice cream lady (or gentleman possibly) at half time.

Fabulous location, great films and events, great prices, nice little bar,intervals with ice cream etc. Who could ask for more?

Always a pleasent experience when seeing a film at the Paramount cinema.

Great little cinema, also used for different events too ,with the added bonus of a bar ,not found everywhere these days ,good choice of currant films and not far behind the release 's to bigger venues ,oh and all at a reasonable price

A great 'old fashioned' cinema. Intermissions and bar. Good value

First time here and really enjoyed it snacks were reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Production was good family entertainment we saw Peter pan panto

Great last night of the pantomime. Good atmosphere and cheap bar.

Unique old style cinema that also has live shows. They also stop the film's half way through so you can have a snack and drink and also real ale on hand pull and can take back to seat.

Love this place! Old style cinema with a bar where you can get an alcoholic drink or coffee during the interval. Large car park.

Although there is a variety of shows here, we tend to visit for the cinema nights.

Although you have to wait a few weeks for a film to be shown here, it is worth waiting. The prices are a lot lower than the main cinema chains. Plus, you still get an interval and the chance for a drink in the bar. Tea and coffee are also served. Well worth putting in the half time order when you get there, to avoid the queues.

The ushers still wheel out the ice creams at half time.

A word of warning for film goers: book in advance for films. Don't just turn up as you might not get in as it can get very busy.

All in all, a great place for theatre, show and film goers alike.

A hidden gem

If you fancy a change from soulless corporate cinema chains, Penistone Paramount is a breath of fresh air. Turns the experience of watching a good film into a great night out. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, convivial bar. Highly recommended :)

Old fashion cinema with up to date technology and a bar

Looking lovely, traditional picture house set in Penistone, South Yorkshire, now reinvented itself as a small live venue. We saw Fairport Convention there tonight for the first time in 50 years. A great little venue.

It was an excellent show. I all t heyears we have been going it was lovely. Always a different show and lovely costumes.

Just seen Last Christmas film - love this place at Christmas

The only place to see a film, support a local project and see the latest films with an intermission what could be better.

It's just an old fashioned picture palace but kept up to date in every way.

Overall it is a great cinema, though several improvements could be made such as better heating. Usually has all the best movies on the box office be also sometimes holds productions and plays. A good visit during the weekend or any free time.

Great "old fashioned" cinema experience. Fantastic service, films changed regularly and includes a mix of the latest blockbusters as well as more artsy films. Also hosts theatre performances and tribute acts. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere. Bar is a good idea. Lots of excellent shows & entertainment.
