Its was just average. The service wasn't that great. The waiter never came back to check on us.

My mother told me this place was not all it s hyped to be and I should have listened first off the way it looks on the inside should have told me to walk out however I didn t the food was cold eggs were terrible the manager has a terrible attitude and should take some customer service classes food was very over priced they must have there friends and family giving reviews because there rate should be much lower it s plenty of nice restaurants with good food in Chicago don t waste your money on this place
Very nice diner. It's clean, not too noisy, and all of the staff that I spoke with are helpful. It closes at 3pm so that might limit people's exposure to it but if you have time to make it in, I think you'll have a pleasant experience. I tried the buffalo chicken hoagie with a side of potatoes and it was pretty tasty.
# Bad service, hostess had nasty attitude, bacon was old, waiter was non attentive. Never going back. Tried to patronize a black owned restaurant been here once before and service was mediocre so I thought I'd give it another try. Today's experience confirmed it. Not happy at all.
Great place for breakfast friendly staff awesome atmosphere
Clean and friendly staff. I have grits and salmon. It was good. I will go back again and bring my family.
Unbelievably DELICIOUS!!!! Can't wait to go back! Grits were INCREDIBLE!
Excellent food and caring staff. The only downside is finding a good parking spot
Service was not all that great and the food was not all that good. Very disappointed. Aug 17, 2019
Update before we left we spoke with a manager who was very friendly an professional and she did address all concerns. I believe she said her name was Latoya.
Nice clean restaurant, delicious coffee however the portion sizes are small
Saw them on Chicago's Best show, so I thought I'd give it a try. The atmosphere was nice. The staff was very friendly and inviting. Service was great. But the main reason I came was for the food, and that was a let down. The home fries had way too much paprika, to the point they were red. The gouda and spinach omelette was nothing to rave about. It was just a thick layert of eggs with partially cooked spiach and gouda cheese melted in the middle. The frechtoast was really good though. I'm glad I gave it a try, but thumbs down, sorry.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent waitstaff.
Loved it!! Eric, Elaina and Latoya are the best!!!
Very cool breakfast restaurant !!! I had peachs bourbon french toast, which were terrific (!!!). Very very friendly service. We waited about 10-15 minutes to get a seat. The names and the number of guests are included when you get in and when there is space you are called. In between there was also the offer at the bar to take place, as soon as there were places available.
Very busy crowd, first class coffee, delicious food. What more do you want on a Saturday morning in Chicago?
I have been twice. Great food especially the Duck bacon. However the seating could be better organized. Wait staff great!!
Getting food was a little slow, but not out of hand for such a bustling place. Servers were very polite. Even helped me find a nail salon since I was from out of town. The peach coffee was the best I ever had!
There is no better breakfast in the Chicagoland area. Period.
1st time visiting. Food was good. Wait staff was very good.
LOVELY STAFF!
Great food!
Must try the duck bacon!
I recently had an opportunity to visit and the food was amazing!
Excellent Service and good. A great place to gather in the community.
The food was great. I ordered chicken and waffles, but also tried my friend's shrimp and grits, which was amazing
The service was outstanding; however the food left a lot to be desired. The pancakes were dry and had the consistency of cornbread. Quite disgusting!! The fried chicken was bland and the french toast was moist on top but the center was dry. On a brighter note...the fried catfish was delicious! The grits were on point!! The peach coffee was amazing!! They were out of shrimp and salmon great disappointment! Overall the menu is quite extensive something for everyone! But until they change the recipes of the above dishes don't order them!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful. All of the things that was ordered by my family was delicious. The service is great, food was brought out in a timely manner. I have no complaints. This was my first visit here will definitely come back.
Took them 2 hours to give us our food I will celebrate my birthday spent 3 hours in this restaurant no thank you
Great food just wish the portions were bigger. My salmon croquettes were like little meatballs...not the size that's shown on the picture. My side order of grits was the same size as my grits salmon croquette entree.
First time here staff was friendly and helpful, pleasant neighborhood spot
I love this Bronzeville restaurant. It offers no-fuss Southern breakfast and commendable customer service. You might have to wait on a busy day, but I did not mind. Make sure you get a peach-flavored drink. I like the Arnold Palmer. Peach's also has specials on the weekend. I highly recommend trying those menu items when they're available. The salmon croquettes with cheese grits is an excellent choice. This place is a neighborhood gem.
There food is to die for. The Duck Bowl is the absitivley Best. You gotta try it!!
It was my first time eating there & the customer service was great and my dish was good too. I will go back with friends next time.
Peach s biscuits are fantastic! Easily one of the best brunch/breakfast places on the south side of Chicago. Staff are always friendly and the waits are minimal. Parking can be a bit hectic; as with so much of Chicago these days, expect to pay for close curb parking.
The bacon is reasonably high quality and the grits are good. I d recommend adding some cheddar to them if you want them a bit creamier.
OMG THE SHRIMP AND GRITS OFF THE CHAIN, SERVICE WAS GREAT, VERY FRIENDLY!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK
Shrimp and grits was great and peach coffee - iconic! Peach Palmer was good as well. Had been meaning to try this place and was inspired again to go when I heard about that signature coffee. Servers are very friendly - but had to sit at the bar because there was seemingly a backlog in getting the tables bused - but it was fine.
Always love eating here the wings and French toast are my staple.
Food was good and I will go back the only butt in there is a butt would be it needs to be a little more juicier. Not greasy but juicier. I had basic pancakes bacon and eggs. Although they did use real eggs which I love, the eggs and the pancakes, potatoes and bacon tend to be a little bit on the dry side. Great flavor, and like I said I will come back
The shrimp & cheese grits was perfect! The waitress was very professional and prompt..loved it!!
Delicious southern breakfast food, bustling atmosphere, great servers! Although I did not try the grits, I realized I should have, as they appeared on many a plate around me.
YUM! Great food, great staff, great vibe. There is usually a wait for a table, but once you are seated, you do not feel the staff rushing you at all. 5 stars!
SLOW SERVICE...GOOD FOOD. UNDER STAFFED RESTAURANT. OUR SERVER WAS MORE THAN KIND BUT 40 mins. to be served breakfast food...RIDICULOUSNESS!
Delicious potatoes, pancakes and biscuits. The service is nice but relaxed so I wouldn't recommend being in a hurry. Great breakfast spot, I will be back.
The food is good and the restaurant looks like a very nice restaurant that is looking to stay there.
This place has a great breakfast. Like unbelievably good.
Am visiting from Canada and had my first ever biscuits and gravy at Peach's. It was so good I might go back tomorrow for some more. Staff was super friendly and the service was really fast! Atmosphere was awesome, loved everything about my visit.
Mediocre food and some of the absolute WORST service I have ever experienced at any establishment! Never again! If you have time to waste, check it out for yourself.
Food was great but service was horrible! I was with a party of 4 and we waited over an hour for our food. When our food finally arrived my order was not included. After bringing it to the waitress attention she apologized and stated my order would be right out. It still took about 20 minutes to receive my order. I will not return.
The food portions are huge...Customer service is Great..Very busy on Sundays...My entire fam loves this place
It takes a very long time for them to serve your food. They are frequently understaffed, especially on Sundays. If you're hungry, I advise you to find something to snack on before you go because you will be waiting to be seated and to be served.
Excellent service and experience! The food was really good. The biscuits are homemade and goooood! Will be coming back definitely.
It has a very nice atmosphere and is very roomy for groups together. Our Breakfast Club went there. The food is pretty good.
Beautifully bright & orange restaurant with delicious food and kind staff! Arrived with a friend on a Saturday morning around 10:30 and waited less than 10 minutes. The servers were kind and the PEACH COFFEE IS AMAZING! I never drink black coffee straight but this one was phenomenal!
House potatoes were delightfully seasoned, eggs nice & fluffy, fruit was fresh & their salmon omelet was delightful & of course the grits were tasty. Will DEFINITELY return!
The food is ok service is super slow but the staff is nice and I love the peach coffee.
The setting iswarm, homey and quaint. The customer service is over the top! You must try the peach coffee!!! It is to live for! We also had the catfish fillet...Absolutely delicious!
Horrible service. Waiter brought me and my guest the wrong order and if I had not have noticed it my guest would have been served food they are allergic to.
Good Food. Service slow because of server on his phone
First time visit! I tried the shrimp and cheese grits though i didnt have all the stiff that comes with it on mine the cream sauce they have it in is so good. I enjoyed and cant wait to go back and try this chicken wings with the french toast and think it was honey butter
Enjoyed this place and the service. The skillet was good and I am looking forward to eating here again. Noisy but everyone was having a good time. I am trying out Peache's coffee blend. Details to follow.
If there's a wait it's still always worth it. Great people, great atmosphere, bomb food.
My fourth visit. It was okay, but unfortunately, no one in our group seemed impressed with their selection. The water refills helped to remind me that we did have a server. The restroom was clean. The staff was cordial. Nothing outstanding this trip.
I believe patronizing black owned businesses and I could have overlooked the poor decor if the food was good. My girlfriend and I drove an hour and a half to check out Peaches because the ratings we saw on the website. We were very disappointed when the food arrived. The portions were small. The food was not hot, barely worm and the taste was just fair. We could have done better if we stayed home and cooked it ourselves.
everything was great but The waitress forgot to give us a peach cobbler :-\-_-
Excellent food service from Erick all so excellent
My French toast was so yummy I came back the next day to order it again the peach compote is delicious with it
The only complaint was the register worker on the first trip didn t acknowledge myself or apparently the people that were waiting at the register when I got there, because she was on the phone. It would have been nice for her to just say I ll be right with you , but she didn t and that made the people waiting ahead of me upset and just ask loudly if they were supposed to seat themselves. This was about 5 minutes after I arrived so I don t know how long they were waiting. She finally addressed them when they started walking to a table and said one moment I m on a call and a few minutes later she got off the phone, seated them, then acknowledged me. The next day it was a different girl and though she was taking a phone order she smiled when I walked in and held up her finger for just one moment which was fine for me lol.
Great breakfast joint had their famos shrimp and grits, french toast.
Though the place was not busy, I was greeted with a warm welcome and was seated as soon as I came in. Lydiah was my waitress and she helped my experience stay pleasant by giving us great service and checking up on us to make sure things went well. I was with someone else and between us we tried the Orange Cream French toast and the Peach Bourbon French toast. Our main dish was the Duck bowl (yes, duck bacon) and the salmon croquettes and cheese grits. Everything was great but the star of the afternoon was the Duck Bowl with potatoes, duck bacon, spinach, onions, green pepper, and cheese. It was beyond great! Cooke just right with a over medium egg across the top to satisfy your brunch needs. I give this place a 5 star without a doubt! Job well done! Support Black Businesses!!! (And oh yea, try the coffee. They have their own house blend sold at Whole Foods.)
There are some improvements to be made. I give 2 stars because they are black owned and the coffee is great. Long waits, gross eggs, and I had a small gnat in my food the last time. Great decor and nice servers but the food is subpar. I ve been to Peach many times and the results are the same. My feedback would be to focus on the food and manage the front waiting area better. The community is rooting for you. Thanks!
EXCELLENT customer service and 3 thumbs up food. Be sure to request the peach coffee.
