This was our first time here today. We were referred by a friend that said the food was good, but be patient for it. I have to say I was not at all disappointed. We were a party of 6 and our food all came out hot...together. Our service was fantastic while we waited for and during our meal (Thank you LaToya). I do not remember exactly how long we waited for our food. The food itself erased that wait time! I would rather wait a while for something completely satisfying and delicious than to have something quick and just okay. We waited and all 6 of us felt our food was delicious and satisfying....a rare event! We will most definitely be back!

Went to Peach's around noon today. The wait time wasn't bad however, the breakfast food our whole table of four ordered was really horrible. The syrup was like water, the salmon was under cooked. The chicken wings were not fully cooked, most of our food went into the garbage. We were hungry upon leaving and went to have pizza after. Please don't waist your time or money, I will not return.

It's not bad but not amazing. Went by on a Wednesday morning. Had never heard of the place. Googled breakfast and found the place and it's high review. The restaurant is really nice. Reminds me of an classic diner. Bar area, tables and booths. The wait staff took awhile to get to us. I ordered the good fella omelet. My partner ordered the shrimp and grits. We Both ordered the duck bacon. the food took 45 minutes and we had to ask the waitress to bring it out. My omelet had the consistency of egg foo yung. It was over cooked and just ok. Edible. The shrimp and grits seemed to taste separate. Don't think I'm going back.

Good food. But the service was awful. Food took more than an hour to get to my group of 6, even though most people ordered their biscuit which when it arrived was not a large amount of food.

Front desk staff was VERY FRIENDLY! Waitress was friendly, however it took almost an hour for the food to come out and during that time the waitress never came to the table to check on us. Every time she came out the kitchen she would look over at us but continue to help her other customers, never saying a word to us. Once the food came out, she finally come over with condiments. They forgot our potatoes, which another waitress had to go get them and bring them out. She also checked on us twice. Our waitress didn t come back until the end of the meal. She didn t ask how the food was, which was pretty bland, she just brought out boxes and the check. Overall, I don t think I would go again but I would recommend others to go because the other waitresses seemed to have better customer service and maybe my food was the only food that wasn t all that great.

Me and my Boyfriend first time visiting was a mess the line was long to pay, that took 10-15 mins. Our food was cold, steak tuff, never received my salmon croquette, pancakes taste like they came straight out the box the flavor was like pure flour and water....we dine in and our food taste like a carry out, more like sitting around won't be visiting again and definitely don't recommend.

I'm all for supporting Black owned businesses, however, I've tried Peach's Restaurant two times now and it is a nice breakfast place. But 4.95 for a small salmon croquette? Really? Cooking breakfast at home for family....

The greeter was not pleasant at all, and looked as if she'd rather have been ANYPLACE ELSE than where she was...I asked for a booth, and was told I'd have to wait, because the table had to be cleaned, which I didn't mind at all, since I was waiting for my girlfriend to get there. Shortly after she arrived, a brother came to clean the table. So since the greeter didn't acknowledge that, I asked if we could be seated. I was told "the tip is still on the table", which I didn't get, because I've been seated hundreds of times in a restaurant where a tip remained on the table, and it was never an issue. The server simply retrieved his/her tip when they came to the table to take my party's order. When I asked if that was policy, the greeter's response was "I don't clean the tables, I just seat people." Duly noted...the server almost redeemed the visit, as she was the first person who smiled at us. She was very friendly and attentive, and I'm sorry that I can't recall her name at the moment. But my omelette, which I ordered with cheese, came without it, so it had to be sent back, and the turkey bacon was old. There goes redemption....

As an African-American woman, I try to support our businesses whenever and wherever I can. I traveled from Oak Park just to try Peach's out. It was my first time there, and as it stands, unfortunately, my last time visiting this restaurant.

I can't review them because Ive never ate there however I made reservations Tuesday and they Called me Sunday morning and stated that I needed to have a party of 7 to enter, aw and never mind it's my wife birthday the day we were to come in and support black restaurant month. I'll patronizing my money elsewhere where I don't need 5 more people to sit down and eat.

If I could give this place no stars I would and not because of the food but the service! Mr. Rome I know you are trying to help the community of Bronzeville by hiring people of that community which is a beautiful thing however when they are defacing your business with their negative attitudes and deposition you can trust that you will lose business! I came to your business 4-5 months ago and the young lady that serviced us was terrible! We waited for close to an hour to be seated which we were told upfront so that was fine however once we were seated it went downhill from there! The waitress was a heavy set dark skinned lady with with braids with the worse attitude I have ever experienced! She came to the table like we all slept with her the night before and walked out with no notice! We asked for things over and over which we never got! We were left sitting for 30 mins with not even as much as a sorry but were going to get you order out soon. I was so disappointed that I said at that moment I would not be back...Fast forward to today...I came back because my daughter wanted to give Peaches a 2nd chance because she enjoyed the french toast and this time we got Iesha! She was just a bad as the 1st waitress. And as we waited I noticed that she was talking to the horrible waitress we had the first time so they must have been in cohoots to ensure this experience was bad as well because the 1st waitress remembered us! In a nutshell I let waitress 1 know the first time that her service was bad. I'm saying all of this to say Mr. Rome black owned businesses are a beautiful thing which I as a black woman I want to support but I will not pay my money to any business that treats me and like TRASH. You have good workers at your restaurant with wonderful attitutes hire more because you have people working for you that could care less about your business or the customer! I will not be returning!

Ok, overall it was great. It's a black owned business. The staff is Great, Knowledgeable and Attentive. The food is fantastic! I've been twice in the past 2 weeks and I have to drive 30 minutes to the establishment. You must try the duck bacon.

Peach s is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, and I always take family when they visit from out of town. The dishes are large and delicious - my favorite is the catfish and collard greens. Make sure to buy a couple of bags of their peach coffee beans on your way out!

We visited Peachs 11/27/17. We had the salmon croquettes with cheese grits and short stack of pancakes
The croquettes were okay, tasted better with the special sauce. The grits were just okay, Needed to add butter, salt, and pepper to give added flavor. The pancakes were moist and fluffy. They just melt in your mouth. Service was okay, but be better with keeping our glasses filled with water, tea, and coffee.
I will return to try something, just not the salmon croquettes or grits.
Btw:
Bathroom was nice and clean along with the restaurant.

I really wanted to love it to support this black small business but the truth is it has some work needed. Service was slow..veeery slow. We had to flag our waitress down for everything. Then she forgot things. It wasnt very busy so I'd hate to see it busy. They were also out of a meal we were looking to try. On the positive everyone was cheerful and I enjoyed the chicken wings.

I was in Chicago to see the Queen (Aretha of course!) and my cousin Reggie took me and my daughter there. Reggie and I had the French toast and chicken wings with a side of cheese grits and Akilah had the catfish, collards and grits. The only thing you heard besides the Old Skool R&B playing in the background was our lips smackin'! Service and servers were as good as the food. I'll be back!

I had the lamb omelette with cheese grits and sauce to go with the omelette. The food was very good, the cheesy grits was slammin!!!!! They were delicious! Service was good, i went around 11am on a weekday so the atmosphere was calm and quiet. The ONLY reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 4 was because the lamb omelette was very, VERY, skimpy on the meat side. The FEW lamb chunks that were in there were incredibly tiny. Now I'm not saying stuff the omelet however they could've definitely been a little more generous with the lamb meat. Overall good food, good service, good experience.

Amazing homestyle potatoes, Peach Palmer and waitress (Raven). My family had mixed reviews about the chicken and French toast, ranging from ok to excellent. Everything else was pretty average, good for a casual brunch with family and friends. If you want an experience, visit Batter and Berries. Oh yeah, they don't do reservations on Sundays, so get there early for the potatoes, I am not the only one who thinks they taste amazing.

This is my first and last time at this restaurant. I made a to go order, bacon and eggs sandwich. After 20 minutes of waiting I get home to notice I received the wrong order. I called to let them know that I was given the wrong order and I explained that I am under the weather and don't want to come back out. I was told that my order was ready and waiting for me and they could not send someone out to deliver my order and pick up the other nor could I receive a refund unless I came back.

Always amazing food and service with a warm smile!...

Always amazing food and service with a warm smile! Shrimp and grits... highly recommended! Also, the choice to mix soul food with breakfast makes them a step above the rest! I love my french toast and scrambled eggs with catfish and greens!

Good
