With the information we found out we do plan to subscribe to their service as it sounds like it is much better than what we currently have that we are having major problems with. As a disclaimer, I'd just like to say I'm frustrated with PBC, and this is perhaps the last frustration I will have with them. My grandparents use PBC and have been members for over 15 years! I visit them often, and about every month or so something happens, computer problems, network down, tv issues, phone down, etc. Usually okay to call (if they're open, and lots happens in the evenings and weekends) and have someome come out. Fine and good but the have been adding on jack after jack, now they even recently added a Ethernet switch, and another jack. But we dont really need all of this! We have two TV's with boxes and a jack for wired internet in the back of the house, and of course a router for wifi.
It was my surprise to find a rats nest of cables shoved underneath their table. My poor grandfather given a story about routers, modems, ethernet cables, e-switchs, LAN ports or WAN ports, did nothing but confuse him-but thats fine, he just leaves them alone. So now with all these ports, you'd think I could connect a device to the switch, and there'd be no problem, right? NOPE! No wired/wireless interent or TV. Thank gosh for data!

We just moved from Minneapolis and had to deal with the evils of Comcast/Xfinity. I've lived in a couple locations in Bemidji and I've tried Midco and Paul Bunyan Communications. I've had TERRIBLE latency issues with Paul Bunyan, which tech support thus far has failed to resolve, even blaming my hardware at one point. Each day I have packet loss issues (40% plus packet loss) and average ping in the thousands when pinging Google. This makes using any real-time applications almost impossible (Skype, Streaming, Gaming, and etc.)
I've had almost 0 issues with Midco (except one bad router which was quickly replaced).
I'll revist this review when PBC resolves latency issues.

Unbelievably hard to get service stopped and disconnected after my mother passed away. Was not informed any equipment was needed to be returned in any of the calls or emails with customer service representative. I would advise putting on the website all steps that need to taken before you will consider service disconnected and account closed for those of us who do not live near your office. Talking to customer service didn't cover all the bases.

Some how every internet provider is so busy they need to schedule you weeks out. I think this should be a process worked on, or an express setup option should be an option.
