Excellent hospital. If you must to a hospital you would be hard pressed to find a better one assuming they can treat what you have. Their speciality is orthopidic work but they can handle most medical issues as needed.

An acute pancreatitis attack brought me to PC ER last month. It was such a positive experience, considering the pain I was in. I was admitted quickly and the staff managed my pain before starting any testing. I literally thought I ws dying. Dr. Smith has an indescribably comforting bedside manner. He handled my physical and fearful mental state with confidence and compassion. He promised me he would manage my pain, figure out what was wrong, and do what they needed to fix it. I feel so lucky to have been treated him and his staff in this scary painful moment!

I have been back since to consult with Becky, the nutritionist. This place felt like a spa! Everyone was so nice. Becky talked me through my new diet and explained not only what I should and shouldn't be eating, but why. That understanding has made it much easier to follow the strict plan. I also appreciated that she had read though all my medical records prior to my arrival.

Park City Hospital is a beautiful and peaceful facility. From the moment you walk in the door until you leave. I personally will be using them for all my medical care from this point forward, despite a much further drive.

Worst visit ever! I was brutally beaten a little ...

Worst visit ever! I was brutally beaten a little over a year ago which has left me with injuries that cause me chronic pain. Recently the pain from one of my injuries flared up . I tried to control it with over the counter pain medications but the pain got so bad I ended up going to this ER in Park City. I explained what I was doing at home to control the pain and that it wasn't even touching the pain. The doctor said he would do a few tests, then left. Nurses came in to start an IV. I was obvious the nurse had no idea what she was doing. She got the catheter partially in ,drew some blood then tried to fish which is extremely painful, blew the vein and left stated she wasn't sure I even need the IV and would ask the doctor. She never came back nor followed up with me. I was then taken for an x ray then brought back to my room and left there. I sat for what seemed like 45 minutes waiting for some sort of pain control. None came nor was even brought up. I had to call and ask for something. A rude nurse came in 20 minutes later and said she had tylenol for me. She didn't even bother to introduce herself she just gave me an annoyed look like how dare I ask for pain control. I told her tylenol was no help I had been taking tylenol. I was there tylenol was not even touching my pain. She rolled her eyes at me and said hes going to give you something stronger after your labs come back. I sat in that room for 2 hours with no pain control as the tylenol didnt even touch it. Nobody came to check on me . It was quiet enough I could here the staff outside calling me a " drug seeker" ..excuse me? The only time I go to a place like that is because I cant control or handle the pain anymore and am only looking for pain control and an underlying cause for the pain so it will stop. I'm tired of ER staff accusing everyone of drug seeking just because there are people out there who do doesn't make everyone one. The rude nurse came in again 20 minutes later a said she was drawing blood from my IV. I told her I didn't have one. She glared at me threw her supplies and walked out. How unprofessional. An aid came to start an IV. She wanted to start it in my still painful arm and got annoyed when I didnt want to put myself in more pain by positioning my arm the way she wanted so she moved to the other arm. She missed the first time and also tried to fish. Where were these people trained because fishing isnt a good practice. They took their blood and left. I sat in excruciating pain for another hour with nobody even asking how my pain level was or caring obviously if their calling me a drug seeker. Most places at least follow up with a pain level after administering a pain pill because they actually care if it was effective. 20 minutes later the doctor came back . He explained what he thought was going on and said I would receive toradol. He left and a nurse came in and administered toradol. The was slightly relieved but was still excruciating. 30 minutes later the doctor came in to talk about discharge. He acted like he thought he was a miracle worker because my pain was slightly less. He obviously didnt care that it was stil excruciating because he sent me home with uncontrolled pain and nothing to ease or control it and told me to go to my primary care doctor. Really? Fine refer me to my primary doctor that's common practice, but at least give me something to control the pain. All I can say right now is I hope karma catches up with them. I am very angry that I am expected to " tough it out" when I went there for uncontrolled pain, was accused of drug seeking and recieved no pain control . HEY PARK CITY HOSPITAL NOT EVERYONE IS THERE LOOKING FOR DRUGS SOME OF US ACTUALLY HAVE PAIN AND NEED HELP WITH PAIN CONTROL!!!!!!! WHY DONT YOU STATT TREATING PEOPLE INSTEAD OF INSTANTLY AND FALSLY ACCUSING EVERYONE OF ONLY WANTING DRUGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. Long wait time. Doctor and nurse treated me like I was wasting there time. Misdiagnosed a broken ankle as a sprain, which later required surgery. Miserable experience.

This rating is for Chris in scheduling she is always so helpful and kind and has THE BEST customer service. She explains what she is doing while helping you; which most clinics I've encountered just randomly put you on hold without saying anything or just transfers you without letting you know after asking a question (that they may not be able to answer but it leaves you hanging). She is always so kind and is very patient centered and makes me feel like she cares about what I am needing. We need more people like Chris in healthcare!

They made my wife wait while they checked her insurance. She was in a lot of pain. I've paid well over $150,000 as an adult into insurance premiums. Personally I've gotten a few x-rays in return in the last 20 years. I paid out of pocket at the dentist since $150,000 doesn't get you decent coverage for your teeth. How much do I have to pay for the staff to act like an emergency is an emergency when we are the only clients in sight?

I was told on the phone when we called before going that it was important to go at 2am since her eyesight could be at risk. They were FAR more concerned with her ability to pay than giving her treatment when we arrived. What a joke! Would she not have received care if she couldn't pay? I have no idea. If the answer is yes, why would you ask for the money first at an emergency room?

I lived in Argentina for a few years. I've been to the emergency room with 0 insurance and got urgent care immediately. Why can a country like Argentina, so poor, so corrupt, give such exemplary care and I pay enough in insurance premiums to buy a castle in Argentina and you let my wife know she is not as important as the money?

My wife is not from the US. She was shocked. The first thing she said when she was released was about the way they "compassionately" checked her ability to pay first.

I will resent paying the $250 copay so much.

Her doctor was fantastic and he obviously has nothing to do with this decision making process. He gets 5 stars and the hospital gets a generous -3. Hence the 2 star review. Shame on you! I'll never forget it.

Nice folks, quick service, convenient location. Luckily minor eye injury is what brought me in. I was taken back within seconds and treated within minutes. Nice warm people who made me as comfortable as could be given the circumstances. Thanks PC hospital for saving my eye ball, I like using it very much.

Worst ER in the country. I've had 3 bad and very expensive experiences here. The worst was when I took my 88 year-old Mother in for a broken wrist. They set her broken bones without pain relief and used such a barbaric method I watched her suffer for over an hour. The bill we received was outrageous. Either go to an urgent care, or drive 20 minutes down the hill to go the University hospital. Even the hospital in Heber is a better option.

The hospital management is not competent in communicating new rules they change for themselves. They then put handicap people and others at risk. They required an elderly woman with broken tailbone to sit on a wooden bench or lay down in her car (which doesn t allow her lay back enough) rather than provide a place in the hospital for her to rest while her family member was in a procedure. They claim we said one person only can accompany yet this claim was made for the waiting area of surgery waiting room. NEVER to walk into the hospital itself/lobby. There is zero documentation provided this was communicated. They lack effective communication as an admin team (Believe Heather and apparently her admin hospital boss) they then wave the COVID flag to makeup for their failure to manage patient communication. I would recommend using a hospital that has a more mature admin team. As proof look at all the recent reviews, this facility is going downhill fast with admin team.

Had a very bad experience in the ER by a doctor who would not listen and did not care about helping. I was in very bad pain and went to see if they could help me figure out what was causing it. This doctor refused to help me with the pain and made me feel hopeless and not worth his time.

My husband took a nasty fall while skiing and with aching ribs we visited Park City Hospital's ER. Living out of state, we were a bit concerned going to an unfamiliar hospital. Wow!!! What a great experience. EVERY person we met was fabulous...from the ER receptionist to the ER nurse, "Maria" that took my husband's vitals & history to "Mark", the ER doctor on duty, to Chad, his nurse once he was admitted for observation.
This hospital...these people were all so amazing....friendly, competent, caring....I wish I could transplant this hospital, and bring these people back home with us, (and did I mention the food at the hospital was amazing???). As bad as it is dealing with 5 cracked ribs, everyone at Park City Hospital did a stellar job diagnosing and caring for my husband. Kudo's to an excellent hospital and staff!!!

I was visiting from Seattle, WA for 4 days, staying at one of the resorts in PC. The first full day I was there I came down with something horrible... intense stomach pains and cramping, vomiting and dizziness. I tried to pull through on my own but finally decided I needed more help than I could give myself. That's when I looked up a hospital near where I was staying. I found Park City Hospital and I'm so happy I finally went in! Everyone from the intake to the discharge was so nice and more than helpful with any questions or concerns I had. They listened and took everything I told them seriously and did (what I felt) everything that they could to make me well again. They kept me overnight to monitor my condition and so they could run some tests/bloodwork so they could give me an answer to what it was that was ailing me. It turned out to be a bad case of food poisoning, or bacterial gastroenteritis; which I've never had nor do I ever want again! Im still amazed with the staff at PC Hospital and I even joked that I will fly to Utah from now on for anything medical related that serious :) the healthcare system in WA just isn't the same and this experience gave me hope in the healthcare system and humanity in general. TY to everyone at PC Hospital that helped me and got me home feeling better!

First of all, when you finally get to the actual professional doing testing, I am giving them a 4.5. Getting to that point of care is inefficient, time consuming, and fraught with people who can't wait to transfer you to another person or phone number so that they no longer have to be responsible. I am a health care provider and have never been so frustrated with getting testing reports for my patients that I have referred to this center for care. I was a member of the business development board for a Park City hospital before IHC came in and announced they were going to build a hospital and I am truly sorry that such a monster system took over. We would have been better off with a community owned hospital.

went for drive thru covid testing because i was exposed to someone who tested positive but i had no symptoms.

they noted in my chart that i presented with a cough. how can we get accurate data on this virus if providers and hospitals are not charting properly?
(ps...test results took twice as long as any of my friends who tested elsewhere).

Gave my mother an incorrect diagnosis, couldn't get an IV for 2 and a half hours (no I'm not kidding. She has needle marks all up and down her arms.) No doctor came in to do any exam when she came in, the radiology tech who took her was extremely rude, no nurse told us who her doctor was or any of her care providers were for our visit. I think the only relatively semi-professional person was happened to be the care tech. We were there for 4 hours, and it felt as if we were all being treated like garbage. Nobody asked her medical history, took any information besides insurance, and didn't even write down the entire issue of why we were there. Completely inappropriate behavior from a lot of the staff. Never ever going back. This was ridiculous. The trauma rooms, in the back, also have zero privacy. The curtain leaves a large gap at the bottom so even a child could easily see inside. No separating wall and there are 2 beds to a room. No call button for a patient to grab a nurse's attention. I had to go hunting for someone to help my mother.

I had to get a surgery done about a year and a half ago. I had the surgery done at this facility. The surgery went well, I have nothing but good things to say about the doctors and staff I have encountered here.

The reason I'm giving this one star is the absolutely absurd billing practices from Intermountain. I received a bill from the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. Both were paid in full by the company my mother was working for (who refused to pay for the hospital bill once I knew about it as their insurance no longer covered me) after insurance paid their chunk. When I called my insurance company to see if anything remained they told me that they had covered their part. I understood that as me owing nothing. (Just as a side note, it was brand new insurance under my mother, I see now should've asked more questions).

At no point did I ever receive a bill from Intermountain. I also assumed that had I owed anything I would, you know, get a bill for it. Boy was I wrong. Fast forward about 6 months and I start getting calls from a company named IC Systems. This is apparently Intermountain's collection agency. Instead of billing me they sold my $4,000 debt (that would have been paid immediately had they just billed me) off to a collections agency. So, this dropped my credit about 150 points and I can't have it removed until it is paid in full. Kind of a kick in the teeth when you are ready to buy a house.

I would say this is just bad luck on my part, even an isolated incident, but after a conversation with an acquaintance of mine that works in surgeon's clinic, I was told this is actually turning into a common practice for Intermountain.

So, the treatment and staff gets 5 stars, they are actually really great. Some of the best I've ever encountered. But be sure to call Intermountain to get your bill, otherwise you can deal with their shady collections agency calling 2-5 times daily to threaten you.

Pray to god you do not end up in this E.R. Nursing staff is horrendous. I can not comment further other than they are heartless and negligent. Nursing staff sent me to LDS hospital in the Avenues. Where I almost died under their care. And to this day nursing staff took a measure that is currently ruining my life to this day.

My wife and me just had a baby here. We were suppose to deliver at the IMC in Murray. But a few hours before we had our baby we were up in kamas for a early thanksgiving dinner with family. At the thanksgiving dinner my wife's water broke. We called the IMC in Murray and they told us to get to the nearest hospital( park city hospital). With our baby being breached and my wife's water broken...we didn't wanna chance driving to the IMC in Murray. When we arrived at the park city hospital we didn't know what we were doing or where we were going. We didn't know any of the doctors or the nurses. In the weeks prior to our baby coming we took a tour of the IMC in Murray. They told us how to check in, and where to go. When we got to the Park City Hospital all the nurses were very helpful in helping us find our way. We were the only patients delivering. So all the nurses gave us their undivided attention. They knew our baby was breached and they had everything on file. They contacted the OR team ( operating team) the OR team Rushed in probably within 45 minutes...explained what was gonna happen.. They took my wife back to perform the C section. Dr Clark was the one who performed it. They did such a professional job at everything. From start to finish the doctors and nurses where there every step of the way. They told us to take advantage of them and if we need anything please ask them. All the nurses were very professional about how they helped and treated my wife, baby and me. We were not just another couple delivering to them...we felt like we were there family and they treated us like family. It didn't matter what time of the night or day....it didn't matter how many times we would ask for things. They were right there ready and willing to help. I would highly recommend delivering your baby here at the park city hospital ( that's if your near by or your in a situation like we were in) or if you want family like service..park city hospital is the place to be. Highly recommended is an understatement.....there is not even words for how good the nurses and doctors were. At first I was nervous because it was a place we were not familiar with. Within the first few hours all that nervousness was taken away. The nurses treated us like they knew us personally.

Please do not ever EVER bring your loved ones to this emergency room. The staff is ridiculously rude, I have never seen this type of treatment from healthcare anywhere. There is no professionalism like for instance talking about patients at their desk where everyone can hear... My sister's heart rate was jumping up to 180 monitors going off, didn't see anyone for over half an hour. She was screaming in pain from her head. Took three hours to see a doctor. When my sister's boyfriend said how bad we were being treated they had security take him to the waiting room. When we finally said we want to take her somewhere else the doctor showed up. Maybe they should have more than one doctor on the floor. Even the receptionist was horribly rude. I have heard SO many bad things about this ER and now unfortunately got to experience it.

We dealt with a wonderful young woman, I believe her name was Cali at the Radiology desk. She went far beyond what she needed to do for me as we had not been able to get my results for 2 weeks. I am very sorry if I did not remember her name but I will remember her wonderful spirit and customer service. Laura Dino

If I could give zeros stars... believe me I would. The emergency room was AMAZING!!! But when I got admitted the nurses ignored all my calls lights and I had to call MULTIPLE times. My husband went out to go get a nurse and they said they were too busy to come make the beeping stop when my room is literally right in front of the nurses station. Severely disappointed. DO NOT GO HERE.
