We originally stayed at the Wellington and got upgraded to the Park Central. Staff was excellent and very courteous. Fantastic view

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Good size room (family room). Close to Time Square and Central Park. Only downsize was no restaurants but you are surrounded by many I suppose .
DON T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
Good location but...
There is a mandatory fee of 36 dollars EXTRA for stuff you don t need.
Save yourself from this tourist robbery!
About the facilities- low water pressure and not enough hot water. The elevators are a nightmare- so slow..
Sharp service and amazing location. Moderately high prices but location made up for it. Dated room but newish bed.
Really a great location.. towels are a touch rough, but let's be serious, it's a great price for a hotel in NYC.. in a really good location.
Decent hotel did the job. The walls are thin however; also, the amenities fees are ridiculous you get nothing for what you pay. Roughly $35 a night is absolutely ridiculous
I like Central park, I went to park with my family @Monday. Make some fun.
A very expensive hotel...but location is good.No water bottles in the room.
I was meeting a friend in the lobby. I observed a very friendly and helpful front desk staff, and the impression I got was that the facilities were very nice.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the park central hotel. The rooms were very clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating! A special thank you to Vito at the front desk and Elizabeth - the guest relations manager - for all their help and for taking such good care of us! The hotel is in the perfect location for tourists. You are only two blocks from central park, and a 10 minute walk to times square. Centrally located with a lot of great food options close by, and a few steps to the subway! Great experience!
Don't try to check in before 4... No coffee pot in the room and they still charge $40 hotel fee on top of the already high price. When booking a room in NY make sure you know the full costs. The 4 star hotel around the corner is much nicer and if you include the hotel fee it's the same price if not less.
Location was good, hotel is a bit run down. Service was ok
Great place! The bar was really elegant and the view from our 14th floor room was amazing as well as Affordably priced. We loved it!
Its was so expensive and a worthless stay. Bad Hotel service. I then decided go to Hamptons Inn which was cheaper and more closer to Time Square than Park Central Hotel. Also Hamptons Inn has continental breakfast which was included in my stay.
Perfect location. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Will absolutely return
We stayed here in February and while the location is great And the rooms ok if dated, the staff are a little rude and condescending and despite trying to move rooms found they didn t actually want to help. Don t bother using the concierge sms service. The room phone guest services was never answered either. Also, beware the ridiculous service charge of 36$ per day for essentially WiFi as none of the other benefits were useful or justified for this blanket cost. Also, it s obscene to charge 8$ for a bottle of water when there didn t seem to be and fountains on the guest levels. Photo from the 8th floor.
The location is perfect! Less than 10 minute walk to Central Park and 15 min walk to time square. The bathroom was kind of small and so was the shower. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Overall, good stay.
My experience at the Park Central has been horrible. For starters the beds have bed bugs. The room attendants are rude, don't clean, steal your money. Some staff members are condescending. For 41,000 a month you would think that the service would be better.
Nice location near central park. Rooms was spacious and had good air conditioning. 30 fee on top of cost was the only negative
Beautiful hotel in the heart of manhattan just steps from times square
Cannot believe this place is four starred hotel..Check-in service was very slow and front desk staff appeared not customer service-oriented; he was very unfriendly. Also, I had two huge baggages so I told that staff I needed a bell service. Then I went to my room and waited for 30 minutes and nothing happened. I called the concierge and no one answered. So I went down and brought baggages by myself. When I was at the lobby to get my baggages, there were so many bell guys seemed to be available. I just think that staff guy who checked me in forgot how to treat customers. I am never coming back to this hotel and I would never recommend this hotel.
Emanuel at the front desk was unreal. Was quick and extremely friendly. He is the man
Excellent service, location couldn t be better. We had an upgrade to a room with a view for just 20dls and oh what a view! Just steps from the subway, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended
Great place to stay, literally on top of a subway station and a minutes walk away from Central Park.
On arrival, car parking was really good for they have enough space to be occupied. We ate in the spa cafe, the food was very good and you could expect excellent service for they have very accommodating staff and complete facilities. The pool/relaxation area is unbelievable and cannot be faulted. The temperature in the room at night was good, thus, we could sleep well. I would certainly be coming back!
Beautiful hotel with nice size rooms. Very clean. The staff was extremely friendly.
Front desk staff are rude and mean to every one.Never stay here
A very nice hotel at a very good location. It's walking distance to all major attractions in the mid-town manhattan area. The room is clean and it's quiet. Even when in the rooms facing the street, the noisy isn't that loud. The only complaint I have is that when I checked out, there was a $61 long distance charge mistakenly posted to my bill. I was told the call was made to area code 639 (Canada). After some investigation by the hotel, they told me it's a system error that multiple rooms had the same issue. Though I don't completely believe the explanation but it was removed from my bill. This brings some alert about the hotel's security. It's not a huge issue but adding some bad overall experience.
Absolutely mortified at the reservation specialist that answered the phone. Horrible customer service.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
I went here for a vacation and it was a very nice park.
Beautiful hotel. Hotel rooms are spotless and very nicely decorated. Highly recommend
Nice, clean, comfy. Polite enough staff. Good location for pretty much everything Manhattan.
I have four reasons for giving u 1 star
1.Because of there is no 0 star I could give.
2. The hotel charged me 30 bucks per night resort fee for printing faxing scanning, luggage storage, using fitness center. THIS IS THE FIRST HOTEL WHO CHARGING RESORT FEE FOR THESE STUPID REASONS. Almost every hotel i stayed charged me nothing for using fitness center printing services and also luggage storage!
3. When I checked in. I was waiting for 20 mins. Because of There were lots of visitors waiting in line for checking-in but there was only ONE staff in front desk with bad attitude.
4. I lost my iPhone Charger after I came back to the room at midnight. It was not expensive, but I went Apple Store at 2'o clock. Thanks the god the Apple Store at the fifth Ave. is opening 24 hrs. What a good experience I stayed in this GOOD hotel!
Costly but you could really enjoy the ny night life from here.
Park Central Hotel New York was amazing! The staff was so helpful and friendly from the front desk workers to the hospitality workers to the valets!
I stayed here while there were still renovations going on but it was still a great experience. It is conveniently located close to Times Square, transit and central to a lot of the fun spots in Manhattan.
Location is awesome. Otherwise... No full length mirror, remote didn t work, AC wasn t very good, front desk staff was kind of rude, reinforcement lock was broken, and no amenities.
Writing this while staying in the hotel- booked this hotel for my mom s birthday and I am really regretting it. The first floor of the hotel is beautiful but the rooms really need help. There was hair in the shower when we arrived and the toilet paper holder was broken. I tried not to think too much about it but then started noticing the stains all over the walls in the bathroom and how old and outdated the whole room was.My mom went to take a bath and the water came out rusty and yellow! So gross. Ive noticed other reviews also mention lack of cleanliness in the hotel...seems to be more of a recurring issue. Also our room was supposed to be two queen beds and these are definitely not the size of any queen bed I ve ever seen. Sad.
Nice and roomy studio with 2 queens. Clean bathroom, nice amenities, nice front desk staff. Haven't checked out the gym yet but looks promising.
Great location in between central park and times square. Rooms aren't big but clean.
As far as the stay, it was cheap compared to other Manhattan prices. When looking at the customer service, there were many promises that were made that ended up not happening. This includes a higher level floor, breakfast, and an exterior room. 3/5 is only given bc of the lower price. Customer service is 1/5
Very clean, friendly staff, great bar, terrific location, comfortable beds
I checked in later in the evening and, as a result, the room I booked was unavailable. I was given a similar room (2 Queens instead of a king) and they waived some fees. While this is unfortunate, I was happy with the friendliness of the staff. The room was clean but somewhat small. However, I believe this is to be expected in NYC. I did pay extra for a room with a view. While it is not as bad as the lower floors that face a brick wall, it is also not as good as I had hoped. Overall, I definitely would recommend this hotel.
A few blocks from time square.
Worth the price per night.
All around it's not bad, not great. Just right.
Comfortable bed, clean room. There is no mini refegirator or coffee machine. Overall is a good hotel.
Vey comfortable beds. And a helpful staff that even helped me with my cruches when i stayed here for foot surgery
We've been there 10/14 and the location and building itself were great. The service and cleanliness were worst! Never would book again.
This hotel was in a stage of remodeling when I visited, and is quite lovely - I'm sure stunning by now if the construction is through. The room was spacious and modern, the bathroom had a standard bathtub but lots of lighting and updated fixtures throughout. There was some initial struggle checking in, as there was an influx of people and not all of the rooms were prepared, but the staff worked quickly and efficiently to get everyone sorted. The concierge at this hotel was an absolute gem, and helped us to make dinner reservations at a fantastic restaurant with a nice surprise included.
Rooms were nice and service was great. Clean hotel in a great location.
TERRIBLY poor experience. This was a business trip and chose PC due to location. Faulty shower (scaldingly hot/loss of cold midshower) was fixed, broke again, finally was fixed, incredibly noisy neighbors hosting 2am and 4am DJ parties, and the last straw was Saturday afternoon, a fella knocking wanted to come in and use our bathroom. We called to announce we were leaving a day early. As we were leaving (a day early paying full price despite these experiences) about 400 high schoolers were checking in and many hotel guests were already at the desk complaining about the rowdiness and noise and elevator issues (only 2 per side). While we will never stay at Park Central again, we love NYC and look forward to our next trip!!
***the gentleman from maintenance and the lady with housekeeping were wonderful!!!
The location is the star of this hotel. The rooms may be on the small side but comfortable and clean. Service staff was very friendly and accommodating. The biggest complaint is the lack of elevators for such a large hotel. 2 lifts for half the hotel with 18+ floors is bizarre. It can be very annoying and we heard many people complaining. Overall the location wins.
I'm all about the location. If that's a priority, then it's all good.
Great beds and comfortable lounge. Air conditioning can be a bit noisy, standard double rooms are still fairly small with tiny bathrooms (fits 1p - shower only - no bath). Lounge bar is only open on weekends. WiFi is fast and location between central park and times square is fantastic. Out of the tourism bustle but close enough to stroll. Numerous metro lines right outside.
Great hotel. Very pretty outside, very pretty lobby. Room was smallish but very cute and stylish. Bathroom was clean and cute. Bed was super comfy! Our room view out the window was just other hotel rooms. Which was disappointing but ok. Across the street there is a restaurant that's open till 1am. Fast check in. Even faster checkout. I'd definitely stay here again. Times square is so busy, it was nice to have a hotel that was a block or two away from the total chaos.
Really bad customer service. I tried to check some items into their luggage storage room, for someone else to retrieve after I checked out of the hotel. Apparently, they don't do that, but the manager that I spoke with was very rude to me when explaining the process.
Good service, rooms were clean. Housekeeping very courteous
Doors could have thicker insulation to avoid hall noises. Otherwise great for the price.
We have been coming to this Hotel for 5 years! We love staying at Park Central; the Hotel is clean, every single staff person is welcoming, accommodating & friendly! Ali checked us into the Hotel and made the process quick & efficient with her engaging personality; we had the extreme pleasure to meet Quimbay ("Q") who was just fantastic to us! This is the only Hotel for us!
Overall I would have to say that this hotel was definitely worth the money, and I actually feel as though we got a great deal. The first night, our air condition did not work, I did call the front desk and they sent a nice gentleman up right away and he looked it and and tried to fix it. They were unable to fix it and they then moved us to another room. That room did not have the best view but the AC worked. Both rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Valet parking went very smooth and we had it included in our hotel package. The one thing that you cannot beat with this hotel is the LOCATION! Right outside the door is the subway and you are only a couple blocks South from Central Park and a couple blocks North of Times Square. Also steps outside the front door are numerous delis, including the famous Carnegie Deli. I would stay here again.
Hotel is in a great location. Few block from Central Park. Few block from time square. Staff is friendly enough. And rooms are nice. One drawback, they have only two (2) elevators. Depending on time of day, count a wait to take the lift.
The hotel is very nice, well kept. However the service so far has not been great. Came into our rooms after being out all day and house keeping had not even been in our room. Called room arrive about this and situation was not dealt with in a timely manner. The location is fantastic , everything near by and close to subway station.
Great location, very kind and helpful staff, clean and comfortable! So charming.
It was a great and lively atmosphere. The service was nice and professional without feeling awkward
Not clean, atmosphere really really unfriendly. Nobody pays attention. Very disappointed. Just location is good nothing else.
It is a horrible experience. When I originally booked the room through Groupon, they said that there is a rollaway bed available. So we decided to book a double bed. When we requested one they said that the room we booked doesn t accommodate it. No where does it specify that the the rollaway bed only belongs in rooms with a king bed. We only learned this when we requested one. If we would have known we would have made different accommodations. They did nothing to help us.
no restaurant and on website doesn't warn guest from over seas of a deposit
Really liked this place. Perfect location, you can get out and walk to everywhere you want in Manhattan. Very nice interiors and rooms
I have stayed here before and LOVED it - I am scheduled to stay here again this weekend, BUT, I only reserved one night on Sunday night (by mistake) and I needed to reserve Saturday night as well. I am STILL trying to get this corrected but now the rates have SKYROCKETED, so I am a little disappointed. :(
@donfrasier- I just tried emailing you but it did not go through.
Great clean hotel. Rooms are nicely furnished. Only the check in process was longer and more cumbersome than necessary. View from hotel is also great.
Convenient location, nice rooms, and wonderful service.
Hotel is nice, rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff is nice and courteous.
Strange review because I have not yet stayed here, though friends have and recommended it. When a last minute emergency came up and we could not make it, the reservation staff was most helpful. We will be staying here in the future, and I thank the staff for their prompt and courteous service. I look forward to describing my actual experience of a stay!
