Was the most beautiful museum that I have been able to see so far, apart from the Dior exhibition. Unfortunately I didn't have a preferred ticket and had to wait 3 hours.

Very nice exhibition against air conditioning problem. And the staff not very friendly!
Uneven museum. You start by paying a rather expensive ticket, before you are shown an elevator that never comes.
When you get to the right floor, the section on the Middle Ages is closed "because of a technical problem".
Absence of contextualization, we do not even explain to you what defines the decorative arts. General explanations are very short, unlike cartels, which provide too much technical information. These take precedence over the history of art and the specificity of the objects. The labels are also printed on rubbish paper, not up to the location. Very often you cannot find the object associated with the cartel, or vice versa. You end up not reading anymore.
The permanent exhibitions become interesting from the reconstructions of period pieces. It is a joy to enter a real 19th century room, or whatever. A sensible video of writing the restoration of one of his pieces is inaudible. You almost have to stick your ear to understand something.
What survives is an absolute lack of completeness and a certain lack of consistency. A place very poorly highlighted, a staff that one would think in prison. The higher you go, the better. But since you are kicked out 15 minutes before closing time, I didn't have time to see everything.
The advantages: reconstructions of period pieces, the perspective on the rue de Rivoli and the Tuileries garden.
I had the opportunity to go for the Playmobil expo in 2009 and had a great time. Playful and intended for both children and adults, this exhibition was mounted very intelligently.
On the occasion of the Christian Dior exhibition. Long queues. Organization a bit .... disorganized but a sublime exhibition. You don't have to be a fashion addict to appreciate.
Very beautiful Museum and beautiful exhibition by Christian Dior. A crazy world and stifling heat. It is strongly advised to regulate the flow of visitors and review the air conditioning. We can't wait, go out to breathe and sit ...
I really liked the walk and walk exhibition that is taking place right now. Avoid the early afternoon because of the crowds.
Very nice museum, the Harper's Bazaar exhibit is absolutely fantastic!
Avoid at all cost!! Totally unorganized and utterly arrogant personnel... Poor #christiandior
The museum may be good. But its director openly assumes that he does not respect cyclists by guaranteeing delivery trucks on the cycle path and thus endangering vulnerable users. How sad to have to face this in 2020!
For the survival of our children, to flee unfortunately.
Magic damage too many people
And who lacked education
Always an interesting exhibition in a museum on a human scale. Not too long, not too long and often unexpected.
M A G N I F I Q U E you have to go there and visit everything
The shoes are ending but the history of furniture in the film of the centuries is a sublime exhibition
We discover the excellence of French know-how from the Middle Ages to the 20th century thanks to this beautiful museum. Special mention to the period rooms where we immerse ourselves in an interior reconstructed with a few pieces of music to make this journey back in time. Remarkable temporary exhibitions dedicated to fashion.
As part of an educational outing I realized the night of the Louvre this Saturday with my colleagues and students. We were very well received by museum officials and officials. They explained the access to the Richelieu gallery, the route and the fun activities our high school students took part in. Bags with documents, plans and tools were offered at the reception and symbolic gifts at the exit. We divided into several groups of 10 students to teach on different circuits to make the course relevant and allow a better feat of the pavilions of the museum. Students from the Louvre School welcomed and presented the works to our students, then they exchanged a few minutes with this young public attentive and intrigued by the stories, the anecdotes and the technicality of the works which are exposed majestically on the high walls of the pavilions. Everything happens in a serene or fun atmosphere. The most tired or scattered students are often called to join the guide and his group or to rest on seats. I enjoyed the shows given by an orchestra of schoolchildren and Parisian college students and a troupe of young choreographers. Lastly, all the teachers and their students got together on the lawn of the Carrousel du Louvre garden, under a summer sun, to eat and drink. Sandwiches, cold drinks and treats were offered by the members of the educational team to all participants in this beautiful nightlife of the Louvre. We had to wait on the feet of a beautiful status also until sunset to break the fast in a good-natured atmosphere under the look of diverted Aristide Maillol's sculpture "Action chained". At 22:30, the return was imminent to the buses waiting for us in the parking lot of the Louvre.
Sublime exhibition Christian Dior. Hoping that it is reprogrammed!
Great exhibitions and the adjacent souvenir shop, full of little stylish contraptions :)
Interesting collections I appreciated a lot, I am not very museum ...
Art through the centuries
Rivoli Street
Visited 30.8.2017. Dior exhibit in dangerously small unairconditioned space. It was so hot that someone might have passed out; this might have resulted in a riot and potential fatalities. The last stairway was partially blocked by tired children and some adults sitting on the floor and watching Dior advertisement films. Permanent exhibit, especially early 20th century, was spectacular and often poorly marked; only summaries in English. Recorded comments on headphones were incomplete and of limited scope.
To visit this museum, a guide is necessary to better understand the sequence of the exhibition
Unfortunately, we don't see everything at the moment but those who love fashion will find interesting exhibitions there.
Rich and interesting collection. Often excellent temporary exhibitions.
I went there on the occasion of the Dior exhibition, on a Wednesday afternoon. The crowd was too large for me to appreciate what I had before me. In addition, the layout of the rooms was not conducive to such a crowd.
Beautiful and large museum. The temporary exhibition on the evolution of the concept of extravagant was very interesting
Very nice temporary exhibition.
Special mention for the jewelry department!
Exhibition on Dior, very beautiful but very strong affluence and therefore visit the 1st floor horrible because heat ++++ and no ventilation.
Take time to visit the MAD: the permanent collection is really rich, it is to all kinds of works of art from the Middle Ages to contemporary times. In addition, the 6 floors dedicated to the design are absolutely essential! Also consider a visit to the Galerie de Joyeux and the exhibitions at the front, always very well designed.
I could not see the permanent exhibition, it only gave me time to go to what they have now about the history of the shoe. PLEASE, GO, it's amazing from the beginning until it ends. There are quite a few people but everything is neat. With the student visa for a European Union country my entry was free. It is very worth it. In addition, in the permanent exhibition I know that audio guides are already included.
If you are studying decorative art or a career similar to interior and exterior graphic design This is the recommended place for you widely requested and recommended. Too bad that some guards in this establishment are a little despotic and unfriendly, but not all of them were very friendly.
Superb and very well organized exhibitions. Workshops for the little ones at the top, they love it.
Do not hesitate to go there.
I couldn t go in because I had a lot of luggage. Yea I understand that but when I turned back, I heard the staff guys saying Ni hao and laughing. I am Asian but not Chinese and whether it was intended to make fun of me or not, I am sure it is not so polite thing to say when I am around since it s probably referring something about me. Saying Nihao or Gonnichiwa to any asian (which is not Chinese nor Japanese) is one of the things done by Western people that many Asians find annoying. Imagine saying Guten tag or Hola to French people just because they are all Europeans. Of course it s not super offensive yet annoying. Ignorance is not excused sometime
Very large, but interesting (you have to go with all the desire xD) the evolution of the furniture is there.
Great museum, but very difficult to enter during certain exhibitions, for the 20 years of Colette 3 hours of waiting, prepare yourself to be patient!
It is a good palace to visit. But on tge museography level it is not the best . And there are 5 closex levels for renocations. So make sure to visit after they are done
Discovery of the work of Christian DIOR. Frankly, if you can go to the museum of decorative arts before January, don't hesitate a minute. Too bad it closes at 6pm ... Frankly, it's beautiful!
The staff was so unfriendly and we were there for the Dior exhibition, the ventilation was broken! It's so warmmmm!
Not a crowed and known museum and it may lack of history, but however the building, staff and expositions deserve a try.
Very beautiful exhibition to see imperatively before early May
A splendid place that highlights the exhibitions that take place there
Magnificent Dior exhibition !!!! A must see !! A word of advice, buy a skip-the-line ticket before going there to avoid HOURS of waiting. Otherwise, the only inevitable little downside, the crowd!
There are some very interesting exhibits to discover
One of the great Parisian museums. For an audience interested in Fashion and Design. A must! Beautiful bookshop specialized in Fashion Design Arts.
This museum organizes exhibitions of high quality: Bauhaus, Japan and Japan, ...
Excellent exhibitions of fashion and accessories. The Dior exhibit was very comprehensive.
Nice but the collection is still reduced for the size of the building.
Like another comment, I find it quite embarrassing that we do not even have a plan to visit the museum, which makes the visit quite random. In addition, I confirm that we were asked to leave the permanent rooms very early, while no one told us that the nocturnal only works on temporary exhibitions. Yet it is up to the museum staff to inform us of this. As a result, we could not see much of the museum because we started with the temporary exhibition. There is enough to be rather disappointed and a little angry. An effort must be made on this point to better inform visitors !!
Surprisingly interesting and often overlooked. A nice contrast to the next-door Louvre.
Very nice trip in the time of the arts
decorative ... and fashion
Be careful !!! They sell tickets online for permanent collection and special exhibitions ..and once you arrive they inform you that most of permanent collection is closed. Very very dishonest and unfriendly / arrogant people at entrance .
Lovely space and interesting temporary exhibitions.
Museum that has temporary exhibitions. Bravo for the sublimation of Dior, this genius
What beautiful dresses! Very nice place for this expo of very high end.
ONE of the most beautiful museums in Paris that I love!
Very nice collection. To know: in summer, there is a bar behind, on the side of the garden
The permanent exhibition is very complete and very well preserved. In some rooms, tablets are made available to learn more about the objects present, with very clear and detailed explanations.
Magnificent museum, but crowded when I went to see the Christian Dior exhibition yesterday. In addition the room is not air conditioned at all and it was literally a "sauna" thanks to human warmth from the entrance. The agents at the entrance control the ticket, but not the number of visitors. I couldn't focus on the exhibit. So it was a waste of money for me.
I like to visit museums while traveling in Europe, but I have never seen a museum of this size and reputation that completely neglects the comfort of visitors.
I advise you to go there dressed light with a fan or a pocket fan.
This is the exhibition I'd always wanted to see as an avid Dior fan. It did not disappoint! It was breath taking from the minute I entered and just when I thought I'd seen my favorite installation, around the next corner was something even better.
