I sat up in the nose bleeds last time I went here and it was still awesome. Sound was good, stage is viewable even from the last seats in the house and the chairs are reasonable comfy. It was worth the drive from the South Bay.
Venue super cramped!! Not enough leg room, comfortable seating, and steep stairs...time for a real renovation we deserve space and not be damn near in our neighbors lap, especially with all the money we are paying for tickets
Old venue. It's kinda dingy but has alot of character. I would go back. Parking is really tough and can be annoying. I do not know how save the overall area but we didn't have an issue. Get there early. The line was very big but it moved quickly.
Love this art deco theater as a performer and an audience member.
Good shows come through the theater often. The classic movies are fun. Good selection of popcorn and candy. You can also get a mixed drink from one of the three bars.
Beautiful Art Deco theater! My son and I saw Kansas perform here and it was amazing! Large lobbies, with multiple concession areas open. Good acoustics. Outstanding experience!
Entertainer Maxwell is a top performer. It is too bad that the acoustics in the Paramount is so poor. Maxwell's program was just noise. The sound engineers for Maxwell did not do their job to emphasize Maxwell's voice rather than have it buried in the volume of the instruments. I left deff. I will not go back. I paid too much money to be blown out by the musical volume rather than Maxwell's voice .
Wow it was amazing. The theater is beautiful and the bathrooms clean! I can't wait for my next show!
Such a gorgeous theater! I loved the Art Deco decor. In the lobby you feel like you are inside a jukebox. The women s restroom has a beautiful lounge. What a great theater experience!
Very nice inside, the outside not so. there's some repair work going on in front the last time we were here.
So gorgeous... And everything is as close to the experience of people who came when it first opened as possible! I'm not even going to describe it or have a picture because you have to see it in person.
Very beautiful If strange location for citizenship swearing in.
Oakland clean up homeless people every where. What kind of people do you have running this place.
Awesome art deco venue. I hadn't been there in a few years, was blown away again. My photos won't do it justice, but i have to post something
This is a gorgeous theatre. Get your drinks early though. The line at intermission is crazy.
Dia de los muertos Ballet amazing and Graham lustig asked to take a picture with me Epic my fiance and I we both we're so excited
Gorgeous architecture, great shows and movies, highly recommended
Luxurious old fashioned theater that makes the experience grand.
Seeing Tori Amos was epic. The venue was appropriate.
The Oakland Symphony was a fantastic holiday treat!
I enjoyed seeing the singer Kem at the Paramount theater we had dinner at Kingston 11 which is a jamaican restaurant on telegraph ave. There is parking next door but its a traffic jam and if you try to park late .
The play was delightful. The seats were a little crammed, to say the least.
It was decorated really nicely, and the show I went to was really nice.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful! This Theatre is simply amazing! Sound quality is great, the aesthetics is so pleasing. The downside is no elevator
Us against the world tour. David and Tamala Mann was off the chain. We had a great time.
Need to upgrade and upgrade bathrooms and more stalls
Went here for a work event. The setting is gorgeous and the staff is professional. It is very well run, kudos to the management for taking such good care of this Oakland gem.

Beautiful theater with well maintained facilities. I couldn't help it but look up and to the sides several times to take in the beautiful architecture
FANTASTIC evening with David Blaine. Beautifully restored theater
Went here for my oath ceremony a few weeks ago. Was scheduled at 1:15pm. Arrived 10 mins before 1pm. The line was already outside.
Absolutely stunning theatre with gorgeous ceilings and beautiful art deco design.
Watching the Wizard of Oz never gets old at this theater.
Went for an oath taking ceremony. The theatre is well located and has an excellent ambience
What a great looking venue. It's beautiful and super conveniently located, like 500 feet from Bart. We saw Norah Jones here and he sounded amazing. I won't hesitate to head back there.
Great evening everything was fine. Excellent service
Really cool place to take in a concert. Art deco interior is really cool
Great venue. Paid parking across the street but Uber/Lyft if you can. Its always cheaper to buy tickets at the box offices if you can. Saves you $20 Bucks in fees.
Small, crowded and no parking but shows are always good
Seen a couple of shows here now, the venue is gorgeous and every seat is great. Overall a fantastic place to see a show!
Gorgeous venue. Went there for an old movie viewing (Maltese Falcon) and had a great time. Amazing pre-show entertainment.
Seen many shows here from music to comedy and they do a solid job of managing the chaos. Bathroom and drink lines do get a bit crazy though.
