Shoe they sold developed hole after 3 runs.They refused to replace

Great selection of gear. I find it a bit expensive but they do have a lot of staff to help and big choice of ski clothing.

Look all over town for a speedo to gift my friend who was running a triathalon. Paragon was the only place with some selection. I picked out a speedo that cost about $55 and saw near the cash register that they match competitor pricing. I quickly googled and found a site offering the same shorts for $28. Manager came over and I paid $26 with no hassle. Great customer service.

I have been coming here for the last two months to rent demo tennis rackets and finally made my purchase today. But it was always a 50-50 experience. The associates are knowledgeable and engaging (if you can find one). They have an amazing selection of products which is great. But the problem is that other than the associates, most of the staff has no interest in providing customer service and Its almost like they do not care. Most of them seem to have no training and have a hard time looking up old receipts and finding you in their system. I asked for a cover for my new racket and the guy lazily said that they do not send them to us anymore and made a cursory check of the stock room to came back empty. I was going to stand my ground when I spotted one of the associates and asked him to check and he was able to find one in the back. In any case, if you have the patience and luck, this is good shop. They have a huge selection and their demo rentals are super cheap compared to others in the city. Hope they improve their service.

I stopped by the store recently and it wasn't much stocked at all. It had the vibe as though it was going out of business. I wouldn't waste my time going to the store to look for things unless you call first to confirm availability or ordering it online for delivery/pickup.

F this place. Went here for running shoes, dude tried to sell me extra wide and covered that sizing on the box with a sticker just to get the sale. Make the trek to Brooklyn Running Company instead.

They have everything imaginable in regards to sports and outdoor. They have been around for 100 years and they even price match

This is a great place for all your athletic equipment and gears though some items are over price its still a great sport store around.

Nice extensive sporting goods option in the city. I find their products a bit more exciting than say a Modell's or Sports Authority. I really like their yoga wear, and that I can buy boxing wraps to use for my trapeze class and bug spray for an upcoming trip all under the same roof!

Great store. You find all brands and equipments for all kinds of sports.

Helpful staff, competitive pricing, reasonably well organized merchandise, if sometimes under-stocked and behind the trend. They don't seem to mind you trying out gear in the store and their 30 day return policy (with receipt in original packaging) has always been honored in my experience.

Love cycling shops so went to take a look.
Asked three members about compression shirts and each person gave me the wrong information and witnessed this staff woman at the mens Running section having a sort of an argument with another staff member.Decided to walk away but I saw nuun performance hydration 288grs powder so went to pay.After a short waiting line I was shouted by this lady to step down.Ive said -Good afternoon but had no reply or eye contact so I've stayed quiet, she complete the transaction putting my small bag on a massive plastic bag which I immediately told her I didn't want a bag but again she ignored and gave me anyway.No more interaction from the beginning to the end.I've paid by card, signed the receipt and walk away still without even a thank you.Awful service.If they were the only bike shop in NYC perhaps I would return but clearly they're not interested in their clients so it was my first and last visit.

after biking 20 miles into the city to go to this store I was refused service because I was looking for bike accessories and my bike is not there brand followed by being asked and phisically removed from the store. the pedals, shoes, and rims I was looking for would have run upwards of $2,500, as a retail supervisor myself actively refusing customer service is the worst business model I've ever heard of. I will never go to this store again and I suggest you don't eather.

It's local, the service is decent and they have a great selection of shoes for both adults and kids at fair prices. Few bargains, but definitely not a price-gouger either, it has some local flavor that sets it a notch above Model's or Sports Authority.

After a big snow storm, this was the only place that my friends and I could find that sold sleds! We were able to get a variety of different sleds which we took to central park. I'm glad they have such a large variety of equipment available.

Came here to pick up the packet for a race. From the outside it isn't obvious how big this place is. You can literally turn half a dozen corners and keep walking into yet another section of the store selling wears for another sport. It impressed the old, cynical, tired New Yorker in me.

Worst customer experience ever. Was looking to buy bike pedals & shoes. Had to leave the store after 30 minutes because it didn't look like any employee would come to help. That's why I will go to REI in the future

Called ahead of tune to ensure the item I was looking for was in stock. They put it aside for me and made sure I had the correct items for my adventure.

You can find EVERYTHING you need for sports. Prices usually high.

Knowlegable staff can help choose the best product. Broad sports selection (biking, swimming, running, tennis, etc). Good customer service. Extras like racket stringing on site. Some items sold at full retail price.

Nice all around place with a range of supplies for a range of sports. Shopped here for bike and tennis accessories.

I never feel welcome at this location. The store is always filled with people but the associates do not offer any customer service. I used to participate in their run club.

I am extremely happy with my shopping experience at Paragon. After a few years of skiing with rented equipment I was looking to buy skies and boots and other ski stuff. They were very informative and helped me with my decision. Skye was the guy who took care of me and I think he is an expert in helping you choose the right ski gear. I read some reviews of people complaining about the lack of customer service, I don't think this is true because they helped me a lot. If you're serious on buying ski gear or clothing they will definitely help you but if you're just coming to imagine that you wanna buy ski or snowboard gear don't waist yours and theirs time and go somewhere else.....

The athletic and sporting goods are pricey. If you don't need to get anything right away, the best time to by quality coats, shoes, and gear is during their annual warehouse sale in September. Be sure to sign up for the email alerts so you don't miss the deals.

It's really hit and miss in terms of service. You can get someone to help you or wander around aimlessly and never get anybody to give you five minutes of attention. Prices are not competitive, they're not bike friendly, and I only go there if I need something right away that I can't get on Amazon.

If you need outdoor sports stuff, this is the spot to go in nyc. Tons of options and knowledgable staff

It's generally very busy here, and they have the basic stuff for just about every sport. The line was out of control during the holiday season though.

Excellent selection - however I still prefer REI over Paragon.

Great sports shop with absolutely all the equipment you could need.

Paragon carries a wide selection of active and outdoors gear. They stock most of the top brands within the space. I have always found service to be rather helpful. The location near Union Square makes transportation convenient.

I read so many great reviews about this store that I was disappointed! It's nice but not enough to rush there ... special mention to the mannequin in the window that makes sport!

I worked her literally because I love this place. No place has a better selection or more knowledgeable staff. You can waste 10 minutes just talking sports with them, this place has a soul.

Great store with pretty much everything you can think of. Sports wise, but even hiking, and tech. This store got it all even a sales area with shoes and clothes.
Just go here it is a must I was blown away of the range of stuff they got from all sorts of brands.

Good selection of overpriced things. Meh place. Hard to believe i couldn t find anything. Also disappointed they carry Canada Goose. Terrible brand that profits on cruelty to animals.
Please consider carrying more cruelty free brands.

I had a bad experience returning an item they investigate you like a Criminal not a customer .

I bought regular priced shoes as well as stuff from their warehouse sale section and had a great experience not just in terms of the products but the associates as well, in both the sections. I would highly recommend buying your running shoes from here. They give you so much time!
The warehouse sale had a massive collection and this is one place I found things I am somehow hard pressed to find- adults (extra!)petite active pants in XS size and well fitting cargo shorts in active wear, also XS size.
The best thing I liked about this store is that unlike other stores with crowded sales where the buyers are left on their own and the whole place is chaotic, I actually saw so many sales associates who were continually rearranging the shoes and clothes that people didn't care to put back, and placing them on the right size section. You don't get that even at Macy's, Herald Square!

Whether you are a local or a tourist, this store has to be on your list!

Very good sports store, but the prices are exaggerated

I stopped by on Thursday searching for a parka and found a few on sale.
Steven was there to help and was very kind and patient. Connor also took time to help as well. I've always appreciated the staff and love this store.

Was disappointed to see how much real fur they have at this store - Never have I ever seen any athlete wear animal fur.

Wide selection on everything!!!!... Prices are very competitive also.

We went there specifically to buy running shoes, and they have the video/treadmill tipe of running test, they also allow you to test your options of shoes before buy it... Honestly its the best way to buy running shoes and any person serious about this sport should buy it in this way... They also have the widest selection of running watch's I ever see... So any brand you want to try you can find it there, way easier to choose.

I know they also offer other services, related to other sports (like rewiring tenis racquets) but i cant give an honest opinion about the quality of this services 'cause I never use them

Pretty much the only quality sports store in NYC. Great selection and variety!

I needed a pair of wraparound UV sunglasses for a high desert trip and thought I would have to go up to Oakley on 44th. Stopped in at Paragon and discovered Chase, the greatest sunglasses guy! He gave me all sorts of options and got me together with a perfect pair. Go see Chase in Soho if you need sunglasses!

Best selection of sports equipment in nyc. Staff is usually helpful (they're comped on commission) but can sometimes be too pushy.

John helped me pick out rollerblades. He was very knowable and extremely helpful. The cashier was also a doll, she even helped me bring my purchase out to my car. The store isn t opened to full capacity but it was easy to find what I was looking for and the employees are more than willing to help.

This one Cashier named Derrick. B is just the nicest young man Ive come across in sometime, answer all my questions, didnt rush me through the transaction, and broke down a few of the items as far as what was on sale and what wasn't. He even took time out despite the long line and made a phone call to the footwear dept. Just to confirm my shoes were on sale which is really the extra mile.. THANKS DERRICK and ROLL TIDE ROLL

Was customer of paragon all my life, over 20 years. Had such a horrible experience with staff. Was followed around the store and treated like a criminal. Worst of all there was an undeniable race aspect. Lost my business and also any respect I had for the company. Left in tears.

They should not be selling a used Garmin watch ... very dissappointing
