This store has rude staff.

Overpriced.
And they even have an entire floor of real fur.

Very friendly people. However you are not aloud to try on shoes which are on warehousesale, what makes it impossible to buy good shoes.
A wide selection of sports gear, if not the deepest in any one area. Something for almost any category of "active" you can think of.
Vary nice selection and helpful sales people.
Prices are sometimes high and the store is quite seasonal (by October there were hardly any swim trunks left)
It's huge and has pretty much everything you could need for fitness, from running, to weightlifting, to spin and a lot more. It's a bit of a maze and a 5ouch expensive
I was there today returning footwear and had a lovely experience with Yassiel at the register.
She was warm, happy and fast. And then I purchased something else and Salma at the register was also happy and kind. They have a great staff.
Love Paragon!
Three floors of sports and outdoor rec equiptment. Some specials, pretty good prices. Also have big annual sales.
This a great sports gear store! My trainer sent me here for boxing gloves and hand wraps. When it came to boxing gloves they didn't have much of a variety but they did have some. They had plenty of hand wraps that I purchased but I had to pass on the gloves because I was looking for the 100% leather boxing gloves at a reasonable price and I didn't find it here. They also have a great shoe selection on the 2nd floor.
The service the inventory the store are all amazing. I make this my go-to place for getting all my gear for hiking and biking.
Great and convenient place for a broad selection of spring goods to fit almost every budget. They also have ski/snowboard trips in the winter, as well as meetups for yoga and fun runs throughout the year.
Great stuff, a little pricy. No one to help me when I needed it and I don't know much about sports shops. Felt very alone but used Google to help me make a good purchase
Customer service here is top notch, efficient. The store itself is very crowded with product though; a little overwhelming.
I find the prices to be a hair higher than other sporting good stores in NYC and especially compared to online retailers. The prices become a deal when they have sales- particularly during their warehouse sale (I think that happens once a year...in the fall?). The sales staff is also pretty knowledgeable. I do have to say, however, that when I went there to check out the winter jacket sales recently, I was overwhelmed by the amount of products they had. The selection was almost too big. Some might enjoy having such an array of jackets, but I found it difficult to even walk around such tight quarters, let alone examine the selection.
Sports are always good. Helped with Trip inquiries, for planning outings.
Incredible store, you definitely have to find what you're looking for
EXPENSIVE, AND NOT MANY LOCATIONS. ALSO NOT MANY BRAND TO PICK.
Although I could not find what I was looking for, I was very surprised how kind they were in the store and willing to help out. I would definitely recommend Paragon Sports to anyone.
Need sports gear you can always find it at paragon. I ve been shopping here for a couple of years and I always find what I need.
If you need anything from summer to winter gear for any type of terrain or weather conditions, this place has it. Friendly and knowledgeable staffs are there to help you with your questions or concerns regarding your needs.
The sales people was very nice the help me find my son size they was out so the looked in stock and went on line to get it for me they just wasnt like oh we have no more they went out they way to help me and even try to c if I can get a dis count on my son coat thank you
Large store with helpful and friendly staff. Does not always stock a wide variety of colors/styles of certain items, so other outdoor retailers may be a better option if you're looking for lots of choices. I've purchased cleats, hiking boots, socks, various bags and gear from here and have been satisfied. Occasionally there are emails with coupons if you sign up for the mailing list.
1) Did not honor store-provided coupons: "20% off full-priced running footwear/apparel/accessories" could only be applied to one piece of specifically labeled merchandise, rather than what this coupon usually means: any running stuff you buy in this purchase is going to be 20% off.
2) Customer service told me to eff off, because it wasn't her problem. Then mentioned that a LOT of people had been bitching at her all day about it. Thanks, lady.
3) This store doesn't have actually useful outdoors/sporting gear if you aren't a rich person who wants to look chic doing tennis, yoga, or skiing. There were no large-ish womens' shoes, nor did they have a single sports bra that would have handled my average cup size in any sort of sport that has more impact than yoga.
This store has a pretty large amount of name brand options for most if not all outdoor activities and active sports. The perk of this place is the staff knows what they're talking about and they're really helpful. They also provide price matching which is super. You may need to get a manager to approve it though. If you're looking for quality items to use often and over a long period of time, I would shop here. If you're looking for something generic and less expensive then you might want to go to a department store like Burlington or Marshalls.
Find everything you need in this giant sport retailer.
Really helpful staff, no rush or pressure as I needed to try several sizes to find the right fit trainers (sneakers).
Great selection of brands and they seemed to have a lot of stock including Saucony which is why I specifically went there.
while definitely on the pricey side, this place is prob the top sporting goods store in the country! the variety they have is mind boggling.
Been here before but this time wow. Yvette helped me out in a few departments mainly men s running but she knew everything! even helped me immediately find those energy gel cubes .... in 2 seconds she turned around and had me in front of this amazing product I hadn t found in 5 years or longer. Bravo Yvette amazing. Thank you! And thanks paragon for the best sports stock in nyc.
I went in to buy the & handwarmers in multipackages. They had exactly what at needed at a very reasonable price. All the staff & cashiers were helpful, professional & courteous. I really appreciated that Covid-19 protocols were in effect. Great store & I highly recommend.
Paragon sports has a wonderful selection of ski and snowboard gear and apparel. I bought a Gore Tex Marmot Jacket here on sale still use all the time thank you.
Good sporting store. Huge and variety of selections available. From expensive to cheap
Excellent Sports Store in Manhattan with lots of Sales. I bought Soccer Jerseys in Sale. Recommended
Three amazing floors of all things sports and outdoor related, with a particularly good ski section. Sadly it is rather overpriced, being next to Union Square.
You want it, Paragon has got it! Huge selection for all your sport and outdoor needs.
Wasted half a day on the incompetence of this store. I will never shop Paragon again. Ordered some shoes online for in store pickup. After calling twice to verify, went there during my only time off to find the wrong shoes in the wrong box which could have been easily prevented by someone actually looking in the box.
Joshua K was amazing. Great attitude and directed me perfectly definitely coming back here!
They need to put more stuff that we don't wanna wist our time
Bought my bike here. Bike specialist David Dinkin will get the job done! Great customer service. Will come here whenever I may need a repair.
When I bought my ice skates here I got "Free Lifetime Sharpening". Recently I decided to use it first time, I was sure, it must work, because "Paragon is not cheap place", it has good reputation... Aha.. Guess, what? "We do not provide Free Lifetime sharpening anymore"... :)
The only skiing and snowboarding equipment in Manhattan. Been here awhile! Good customer service!
You can find anything you will need for sports, outdoor activities etc at Paragon
The best place to buy a car if you are looking to buy a new car, and you cant go wrong with it!
Legendary. Easily the best sports store in town. There isn't a sport they don't sell.
Paragon is like the Best Buy of sporting good store. It has all the basic generic brands for the general consumer and tourists who flock there like it is the 'only' sporting goods store in the city. If you want something of better quality, best to go to your specific needs (tennis a tennis shop etc). The staff is friendly and generally knows about the products you are looking for just without the blue shirt and khakis.
Best sport equipment for any occasion. Very knowledgeable staff.
spent 15 mins searching the maze of overpriced goods looking for caribeeners. Was eyeballed by what I would guess are a few workers but never offered any help.
After finding them on my own, behind a counter, I waited for 10 mins as 3 workers chatted up girls five feet away, paying no attention to me,offering zero help until I left.Needless to say I won't be spending money in this overpriced, unhelpful rabbit warren ever again.
Quality products that are a bit on the pricey side but the retail help is very knowledgeable and can help find the best suited product.
Very friendly , affordable prices , large collection
Covers a huge range of sports, but not in any depth
best sports store in NYC. by far the widest selection and most helpful/knowledgeable staff. layout can feel cramped at times. they have a great warehouse sale every fall.
I was able to try on and buy a bike helmet. The guy helping me was efficient and fast. The store was not crowded and social distancing was respected by all
Great place for sport and active wear and accessories.
THE go-to place for all your sporting goods. Book at day trip to a local ski resort for $84, and they arrange your equipment rentals for an extra $30.
The prices at Paragon are higher than they are at other places, but they do have a lot of items that aren't carried at other stores in NYC, and I often end up going here when I can't find the boots I want at REI.
Great selection and prices, but staff is a little disorganized but helpful nonetheless
Paragon Sports is a great place to find whatever sports or outdoor equipment you might need. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Iconic sporting goods store. Huge selection of pretty much anything you can imagine. Many floors and hidden section, it will take you a few hours to explore the whole store.
The largest selection of sporting goods and apparel in the city. Be mindful of the pricing and definitely shop around. You may find great deals in the store but some of the items are priced much higher here than elsewhere.
Top shelf sports store. But, I found it a little disappointing the fact tjat the most impressive aspect are the prices. No doubt there is a lot of quality there, but I had hard time finding the right value for me.
great choice of all the best outdoor brands. I was lucky to find on sale a product that is currently unavailable in Europe
The best customer service I've ever received at a sports store. Each person has in depth knowledge of their department, and can offer useful advice on any activity you may be using the equipment for.
This is an absolute beast of a store. The display and the availability is vast. Variety is key to a supply store. Paragon has got them! Check them out. You might be stuck in the store for a while. The staff make it an awesome experience!
I stopped by Paragon yesterday to exchange a pair of boots and was greeted by Asha. She was very patient and after telling her what I was interested in, she brought back 4 different possibilities. Most customers don't realize how many brands are offered and the time it takes to find the proper size and style. And most patrons don't put the shoes or sneakers back in the box if their not happy with the fit, giving the staff more work. Please be patient when visiting the footwear department, it's not an easy task for them to give 5 star service.
Great sports store, they have everything and good prices
The experience at paragon sports is awesome it's so huge and has evrerything you could imagine in sporting goods i recently baught a pair of ice skates from there and they are so profesional at helping people, the store is huge with 3 floors it's awesome !
I have to agree with the reviewers that say the people working the floor there have a bitter and inexcusable attitude. I've gone to Paragon to buy several times, but only once did I ask for help from a rep when I went to go buy an item behind the counter. The person threw down two versions of the item with a scowl. I asked him what the difference was between the two and how to use them to which he answered. "one is wearable". While turning his head to look at someone else. He didn't answer the part about how to use it, but he was being so rude, I figured I'd be better off figuring that out on my own. So I went with the cheaper item, he told me how much it was. Then TWICE over the next few minutes I tried to give him money for it, but he was busy looking at something else so he wasn't paying attention. I then said, "Here." so he would actually look at me and then with an attitude of annoyance said- "You need to pay HER over there." As he pointed to a woman a yard and a half away down the counter. She wasn't behind any cash register ( the register was behind both of them in the middle) so how I was supposed to know I had to walk over to her to pay is beyond me, but this guy acted like I was a complete moron for not knowing this. The girl who rang me up wasn't that much more pleasant either in our 5 second exchange. I couldn't believe I had actually spent the time and money on a cab to go to this place. Next time I'm sticking with buying from Amazon.
Over the last decade my husband and I have purchased several items from hiking boots to swimsuits here and have always been happy with the quality and price. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. All our many questions get answered with a smile. Check out is quick and returns/exchanges are easy.
Paragon Sports in stuck in last century when it comes to customer service and prices. Don t buy anything here unless you have extra cash and a dollop of tolerance.
Been going there for a number of years for a simple reason. They actually provide services that only brick and mortar stores can provide. Went there to buy running shoes and it was nice to have someone who knew their stuff help me with picking the right shoes. Thank you, staff. Always look forward to shopping there. It's always been a wonderful experience.
All things sports. Great store for running gear and necessities.
I have been able to service all my tennis supply needs here. It's great that the staff there actually play tennis, too. They can give advice on the system and tennis culture in the city.
Bought there to bags, the staff is professional and knows to give you good advise. Relatively the prices are good.
Service is poor and takes to long to sleeved. Most sale items are discounted
