Love this store, they have everything you could possibly be looking for in terms of sporting goods/outdoor activity. Some things are overpriced, but they have decent sales. Attended their warehouse sale this year, it was amazing. Glad I made it there.
Paragon is the best place in new York for athletic shoes. I'm really gald they've stayed in business.
I was amazed at how complete this sports shop was. Their swimming section is superior to anything in the city. The staff went out of their way to answer simple question. Will visit again.
Super store ! Very big and all sports are represented by a specific area
Really poor. I spent $500 on baseball gear and had them break in a glove for me. I was told to come back the next day to pick it up. Went back two days later and the glove hadn't even been touched. The shop clerk didn't care, offered a lame sorry and a isn't my fault what can I do. Supervisor was even less interested.
Poor form. Bad service. Look some where else.
Great to have a full service sports store nearby. I've purchased Catskills and Hudson valley hiking trails maps here as well as other sports stuff.
Highly recommend! Giant stock! Good service. Fair prices. It has for all sports.
Once in a while there's the promotions and the kick-off, it turns into a hell of a crowd, but the prices are very low.
Good selection of sporting equipment. Have great sales.
One of the best sporting goods stores around and the folks in the ski department really know their stuff. Many of the pros in the ski department have been there for ages. Great at fitting boots and super knowledgeable about skis. Of course a great selection of products.
This is a great store in terms of being able to see a lot of brands/models in physical form. It's always a great idea to come here, see the product in person, try on for size/fit, then find a deal because they price match! They carry tons of equipment from a wide range of companies. It spans a wide price range too.
Overall a great place to visit. The staff is super friendly and helpful. However, not all of them are knowledgeable so do your homework before coming here.
Love this store, they have everything! Got my cute bathing suits for spring break here because they have a swim section next to the yoga section.
Poor service
Overall customer experience has gone down.
I wish the Model s near us was still around.
All kinds of equipaments and clothes for sports, but peixes are bit high
In 2019 I joined this weekly run group. My first day was awkward being a newbie among regulars. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and social- I can't wait til we can run together again. Each week was amazing for me meeting new runners and being challenged to push more each mile. I will continue to treasury the memories and group photos.
Great sporting store I only go here if there is a sale or or I absolutely need something. There are other options close by like modells and sports authority, however , they lack selection!
It has a lot of variety, but everything is very expensive ...
Poor customer service! Over priced! Got a $20 card after buying for $$$ ... thought it said expired Jan 2020 and not 1/20/20... only few days ... genuine mistake. Customer service assistant looked at me as if I was like pffff! Can t you see it expired... well actually I didn t or I wouldn t be using it would I? Anyway no discount, no assistance!
Whenever I need that certain thing, from hiking gear to sports wear. They have it all
Amazing sporting goods store, they have most everything that you could be looking for and the staff are very helpful and kind. I was very impressed with this store.
Gorgeous store, merchandised beautifully and the employees maintain the displays. Everyone was helpful and friendly
You will find everything in this great sports temple
Love getting lost in this store and discovering new stuff i never new existed. And they have in xxxl sizes too
They're open and they've got everything including friendly staff that know their stuff
Jonathan salom helped me with the Uber Tlc program and was very helpful thanks
A classic fully stocked and expertly serviced sporting goods store. Been shopping here since my youth, never disappointed.
Worst customer service don't buy from them it's a rip-off
They won't take a return they will find an excuse to deny you . You been worned .
One stop ago for all sporting needs. Informative staff!
Large array of sporting goods. Often very crowded. Staff could be more helpful.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of brands to choose from!
Really large selection of equipment for all imaginable sports. Unfortunately, baseball only had mainstream (hoping to find something different than Germany). Otherwise great!
I am new to SPINNING and I visited this location to purchase a pair of cycling shoes. I was not approached by the sales associate. When I did receive assistance he was NOT engaging, had zero personality and did not have any of the shoes I was interested in available in my size. He said I would have to go on line to order them myself. I wasted almost an hour of my precious time in there. I proceeded to purchase a pair in a local Bike Shop in my neighborhood and received SUPERIOR customer service.
Nothing big to buy, but we sell a wide variety of sports items!
If you come to Union Square, take a moment to see it :)
Every few years, we come here to get new ice skates, for the winter. We live near an ice rink.
Shoe department no help, however security guard wonderful attitude
I ve been shopping here for all things athletic for over 20 years and it s my fave retail store of all-time! It s a New York treasure, for locals and tourists alike.
Paragon sports has a great selection of all sorts of urban sporting goods. It has a fun atmosphere to explore different products. Given that they are a one off store and not a chain, they can be more expensive than their competitors. They have excellent customer service.
actually, i found it after my shopping there, it is not a real professional sport shop, but more for tourists. A lot of rude European tourists crowding around. Low level sales persons are ok. But the managers-level, looks like of family business, lousy and service badly. i will shop for only this time here.
I don't like their selection of items seems limited..
Absolutely worst customer service ever. I returned a product and they refuse to refund me. If you call it tells you to email (no one ever answers). I have emailed many times over the last week and they won t respond. I have confirmed the return was delivered weeks ago, but they won t refund the charge or respond to emails or pick up the phone. Now I have to file a dispute with my credit card just to get my money back. Do not shop here.
I used to be an employee at Paragon. One day I was on the second floor (where they sell the coats and camp gear). There was this Black man (who is a frequent/loyal customer btw) who had an expensive timepiece on his wrist. An employee by the name of Steven said something prejudice to another employee (a cashier) and myself about the customer which was maybe he sells drugs or something . INAPPROPRIATE! You guys should train your future employees to watch what they say. How can you go making assumptions about someone you don t know? You can t have nice things unless you sell drugs? Wow, who knew?! This man is a frequent shopper at Paragon, if I would ve went and told the customer what Steven had so cowardly said about him, I bet he wouldn t have gave business there anymore.
If you wantnit want it they most likely have it from sporting to camping
As some people have said before me, they've got a great selection of products with good prices, but their staff is unfriendly and uninterested in helping its customers make good informed decisions. I'd stay away from buying in here again.
Great quality but a little pricey guess they must pay those high NYC rent for the location.
The best place to buy sports stuff. Have some good deals
I bought a Linus bicycle here . The guys in bike department are very helpful especially the one who assembles and fixes the bike. Great service . Thank you !
Great store, very complete cycling, good products, lower prices when compared to other stores.
It's really a New Yorkers only option for sports equipment, so the service can be inconsistent... They definitely work on commission, so make them work for you- is my best advice.
It has anything and everything that someone into sports could want. Good prices, knowledgeable salespeople, and great selection.
In an increasingly big-box store friendly Manhattan, Paragon remains defiantly independent and better than the competition.
Everything is so diverse ~ I can think of all the sporting goods sold
Large selection of sporting goods. Good shopping opportunity with good actions
Needed several pairs of breathable pants for a 2 week trip to Peru. Our trip would have us hiking in EXTREME cold and EXTREME heat within a few hours of each other. I told the sales associate the details of my trip and asked for his advice. He recommended the perfect pair of pants at a great price. Thanks!
Terrible customer service. They simply stand around and chat and when you do ask for help they simply point out to the area....okay (that was the ski wear dept keep in mind). I had a gentlemen help me out with equipment and he was highly helpful and sympathized about not having my helmet size -- only helpful person there.
One last thing I feel they will only assist you if your ready and willing to spend endless cash there...NOT, NEXT.
As a hockey player it's tough to find a one stop shop with all the gear I need. Paragon had a decent selection of critical gear and it's conveniently located in union square. The hockey section is the absolute farthest (furthest?) Point from the entrance.
Outstanding sporting good store. If you don't find it here...they have it online...if they don't have it online...chances are it doesn't actually exist....store is 3 floors of all sports/fitness needs. No sport is excluded at Paragon. Dope store. Excellent customer service - without hounding you.
Gerson, the salesman, is a first class gentlemen and very knowledgeable.
Tennis section is great. Elizabeth is amazing and has a lot of knowladge regarding all tennis gears. If you are trying to find the best tennis gear she will help you. You can get your permit there as well.
Goos selection of active wear, staff are very helpful.
Order was canceled with no explanation. I could have bought this elsewhere for the same price as it was on sale at several retailers, but now the sales are over and I have to pay full price. Not happy!
A little disorganized / messy but generally speaking good items for sale.
A large sports store offering a wide range of spots goods, from trainers to tops. A wide variety and some of the staff are really helpful.
We have a wide selection of sports equipment and mountaineering equipment. The store clerk is also new, so you can try on slowly.
So expensive and the staff are all worthless jerks.
Plenty of options to pick from. Great service and the staff is highly knowledgeable.
Overpriced doesn't even begin to describe this place. The workers know little to nothing about the actual products being sold. You shop here if you have more money than brains. It's unreal what they try to get away with. Comparatively shop, do yourself a favor. It's great to try stuff on and then buy from anywhere else.
Very complete store for the sport you want, excellent place.
Cant imagine there is anything you could need that they don't stock. Not cool like Nike SOHO but extensive range of every single sporting pursuit you can think of. I bought my kids Nike gear (that was on sale), cycling kit for myself, luggage for the trip home and a goose-down jacket. Huge range - no real service to speak off really - but with such a huge range over 3 floors you will find what you are looking for. Not high end retailing, just huge range and fair prices.
Potentially the best selection of sports clothing and men's bags in the city. The prices are high but they have good quality brands and they do have good sales every now and then. The staff are pretty professional (in certain departments) also.
