The attention and the impeccable service as there are always details that can be improved because we had a problem with the t-bone steak that was inedible

I love getting lost in the Sierra de Gredos, I visit it several times a year and in different seasons because the landscapes are unique, you can see the beauty of these mountains and if you like adventure, you have many paths to do.

Excellent place to enjoy nature and with an impressive history

Like all the hostels very well everything, food, room, cleaning .... the environment is the best. On a negative note, there was a wedding and they closed a cafeteria for the event, the smaller one was small for the tenants.

Waitress you order a cocktail and she puts you a Coca-Cola without ice, she leaves. You wait, after a while another waiter appears, you explain it to him and brings a cocktail tasting due to the little rum he had. As an aperitif stale peanuts, you ask him to change them for you like at the next table that he had even paid for and he tells you that he charges you for the piece of palm ...
Anyway it is empty, it is not surprising. Much better, even for a simple coffee or drink anywhere else.

I am a friend of Paradores and I stayed in a room with points. The room they assigned me left a lot to be desired. Views of the supply outlets right next to the restaurant. I requested a change at reception and they offered me a similar room that did not substantially change the conditions, maybe a little better, but very little better. It was clear that there were other free rooms due to the volume of people staying that we could see at night and at breakfast but they did not have the courtesy to offer us something better. They told me that when booking 2 rooms, one had a view and the other did not.

We wanted to try the game room at sunset. We saw that they had billiards, table football and ping pong. Billiards a real disaster had no differentiated balls, the game was incomplete and there were like four white balls with different sizes. The table football also deteriorated.

We notified the buffet breakfast when we arrived at reception that we wanted to hire it for the next day as it was not included in the points rate.

When we arrived at breakfast a lady approached us with little delicacy saying that we did not have breakfast included and when we told her that we had already notified the reception of her hiring she told us to tell her which breakfast we wanted because they had an extra cost and that the buffet cost more and When we told him that we already knew, he said that they had not warned him and on top of that he patted me on the arm as if to calm me down. Never seen!

Above, he does not take note of what we want but brings the paper so that we can sign the charge for breakfast. The horrible coffee, the quality of some products were not up to par with Paradores. The worst service. We had to get up to order every breakfast item, from coffee to fried egg, bacon never came and the lady I asked rudely replied that they would bring it already.

At the exit they give us a 15% discount check and tell us that it is to eat or consume at any parador. We ordered a hamburger and a salad and they tell us that it is not good for that we have misunderstood that it is only for the restaurant.

On top of that, I left the beret that I was wearing, I don't know if at the reception when checking or in the room. The fact is that the beret disappeared, nobody picked it up, neither saw it, nor found it.

I usually stay at Paradores and I have never had an experience as bad as this. On the contrary, it was always fantastic to be in a Parador. It is a shame because the situation and the views are excellent but the staff who attended us very poor. Maybe I would exempt the staff who prepare the rooms. They were clean and in good condition.

We were accompanied by some friends whom I had convinced to become friends with Paradores and I was excited to show them the benefits of staying in a Parador. What a disappointment!. They are not very important things but all together the truth gives a very bad image.

In addition to beautiful and in full nature, it is a bit of the history of Spanish democracy. It was the first hostel in Spain

I did not know him and I was very surprised by his sturdy and beautiful architecture. Also, the careful restoration and respect. Its interior that takes you to the time of Alfonso XIII ... the atmosphere and its interior rooms are authentic and elegant ... Its terrace with beautiful views of the Circo de Gredos ... they make you feel very close ... quiet and silent place .. highly recommended

A great place for excursions. At night, looking at the starry sky is a privilege. The meals are the same as always and the quality, sometimes, disappoints.

Quiet place with spectacular views. The facilities may be perceived outdated but that also has its charm. The exceptional attention.

It is the first Parador Nacional opened in 1924. It is a small gem located in an exceptional setting ... Now it can be enjoyed by everyone ... restored with taste ... Austere and elegant spaces ...

I went to dinner with my girlfriend. The food was bad but especially the dessert.

Cozy room, I like to sit in their living rooms and look through its large windows, relax. Good treatment and good service.

It was the first hostel opened in Spain. It has a rustic atmosphere, surrounded by nature and without anything close which makes it very quiet and ideal for star gazing. It is ideal to go with children and family. You can make a route through the nearby forest very affordable to go with children. When it snows it is even better because there is a lot of ground to play and use sleds. It has a multitude of common interior rooms. A large living room with sofas and television. Another large without television but with fireplace that usually put when it is cold and a smaller one with fireplace and tables for games. You can ask for tables at the reception where they have all kinds and tastes. On the upper floor there is a large gazebo with views of the Sierra de Gredos and lounge chairs. There is no pool or gym. It has dining room and cafeteria with bar, also with fireplace with ample meal schedule.

Bad experience, I ordered a coffee, eye, at 1.75 what a bad thing, a aguachurri, to run to the toilet, the first time he left a whole coffee, and eye the waiter did not bother to ask me not to return

I was with my family and we stopped to eat.

The place was very nice and the views spectacular as you would expect from the mountains. But the food was not up to the price we paid.
The menu of the parador was 32 per head.
Many of the dishes came out cold and the quality was not at all expected.
The only thing that surprised me was the detail of putting a "pretty fancy" appetizer while we waited for the food. Now, the attention from the waiters was adequate.

I hope it was something specific for that day, because if it is not a shame.

An ideal place to forget the daily routine, very correct restaurant, very good staff treatment. Ideal to go in winter.

What to say about this Parador ...
We are lovers of the Sierra de Gredos and once or twice a year we stay at this hostel. In addition to a mandatory stop every time we return from the mountain and enjoy the sunset accompanied by a coffee. The environment is very special.
The rooms are very cozy, keeping the aesthetic of yesteryear that makes you go back in time. Another reason is the kitchen headed by Guillermo. Thank you and congratulations for the new letter. Also highlight the treatment of the entire restaurant and bar team without forgetting the reception.

For being a beautiful place in a very beautiful environment

It is the first parador in Spain, there the Constitution was signed. The place is very nice and has beautiful views. It retains its classic and cozy style.

It is a place with a unique history since the foundations of our constitution were laid here.

This Parador has an excellent location, ideal to rest and walk through the countryside. Good conservation and magnificent attention. The breakfasts are very well stocked and superbly prepared. The restaurant offers very good quality dishes, although it suffers the same problem of all the Paradores, the letter falls short.

It is a recommendable hostel, I have repeated four times and I will return

I was in the restaurant, the treatment and the food are unmatched. I love their crumbs and the meats and fish are of great quality. We have been very surprised by the children's menu, which, in addition to being delicious, includes normal things to eat, such as the French omelette with country eggs and the vegetable puree. Finally, try the bitter chocolate cake !!

The Parador de Gredos is a stunning place located in the heart of beautiful mountain scenery. This Parador is an ideal location for walking, mountaineering and climbing. The old mountain retreat was dreamed up by a Spanish King nearly 100 years ago. For those wanting to visit this region of Spain there is no better place to stay and base yourself. Great food, great service and great location!

Spectacular enclave overlooking the Sierra de Gredos, the building maintains its philosophy of yesteryear with current accessories.
The perfect and pleasant rooms with views of the mountains, silent and endearing.
All service from reception, waitresses and rooms, lovely.
For me they have lost the path of traditional stoves, cooking, smells and flavors and that they play with a great advantage, the name.

As you would expect the quality of Paradores could not miss in this room. In addition, the place is beautiful and invites you to walk in nature. We traveled with our pet and we did not have a single problem. We were able to taste the typical dishes in the restaurant and although the somewhat high price, as we supposed, it was worth it.

What an enchanting hotel! The rooms are gorgeous, clean, spacious and with lots of natural light. The hotel is pet friendly and they also provide a small bed and drinking bowl, which are given to the owners as gifts too. The hotel has fantastic amenities and the restaurant is beautiful. There are lots of delicious Spanish options for breakfast, which is great for vegetarians. I wish they would add 1-2 more options for vegetarians on their dinner menu though. The staff all around the hotel, the housekeepers, restaurant staff, receptionists, all of them are welcoming, helpful and friendly. There is plenty of car park spots right at the front of the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel are stunning. Just go the the top floor and sit on the balcony to look at beautiful view. There are also marked trails around the hotel too. Inside the hotel you can find many open space living rooms where you can sit with by yourself or others. The room was quite chilly in the night and as the radiators are operated through central heating, we were not able to adjust the room temperature. However, there are extra blankets in the cupboard. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they are an environmentally friendly hotel and they have the 12 Global Goals stated in their rooms. However, it was disappointing to then see that they offer plastic straws in the restaurant and they wrap the cups in the bathroom in plastic too. The receptionist also did tell us that if we didn't take the dog bed or bowl, they throw them away. It would be nice to know that those items are then offered to the next guest after they have been cleaned or at least donated to a dog shelter. Overall, a great hotel that I would strongly recommend.

Though the location is remote, the views and walking trails were worthwhile. The rooms were clean and quiet. WiFi access did not reach the room I stayed in. If you happen to be traveling to this area, this is a decent place to stay, but I will not be traveling here again due to the remote location.
