We arrived at 11am, but had to wait half an hour because it was really busy. This wasn't a problem as we weren't in a hurry.

The shop really caters to people with allergies or a vegan lifestyle, which is great. One point to keep in mind though is that when you order a tea, you get a mini Stroopwafel with it. This is neither vegan, nor lactose/gluten free so we weren't able to eat those. Again, not a problem, but it's more of an extra plus when you have vegan/glutenfree cookies with the tea available :)

I was looking forward to Korean pancakes and I didn't go there. If you expect sweet pancakes, you can order pancakes with ice cream or whipped cream, and ham sausages are usually preferred by Dutch people for a meal! It feels like eating brunch. When I went for the second time, I ordered two pancakes with my friend, and the omelette was so big that I usually share it with two girls. It was delicious !

Place is just a bit over rated !! The quality of pancakes was just around average i did enjoy the quality of fruits and ice cream but pancakes could have been made better. It was slight over cooked and seemed burned.

As in all places where it is worth stopping and eating, it often happens that you have to wait to sit down. But it's still worth it. The prices are high, but in line with those of Amsterdam.

The service was SO slow, we ended up having to go to the front to pay and when we did the waiters were just playing catch with the tea towels - it was a bit unprofessional and overpriced for mediocre pancakes..

It's very popular and I waited outside the store for about 10 minutes. The inside of the shop was very small, and the place where I sat was very dangerous on the side of the stairs. I ordered a chocolate banana almond pancake. The taste was very delicious and satisfying. Payment was by credit card only.

Poffertjes and coffee to start. Freshly made and freshly brewed. Apple crumble pancake is to die for. The cinnamon added makes it a great pancake. The staff is super nice and make you feel welcome from the moment you step in. If there is a wait... wait, it's worth it. The street where the restaurant is located makes for nice pictures

I like this place, usually go there early in the morning when it s not that crowded. As a local, I find the pancakes quite tasty, especially the one with spinach and goat cheese (with an addition of mushrooms ;)

Well, as a husband to a pancake addict I had to take my wife to have birthday breakfast. This place is perfect! but be aware of long waiting times, all week long and no waiting list, you have to stand and wait in line.

This seemed to be a very popular spot. We had to wait outside for a little while to be seated as it is a small restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was better than expected. Would definitely recommend for a quick bite while you re in Amsterdam.

I came here on a whim as another local cafe was fully booked. Had a little wait along with others but the staff were on top of who arrived when, allowing us to sit on the chairs provided.

I had American pancakes with syrup whilst my friend had vegan pancakes, both were absolutely lovely. Pleasant staff and efficient service.

Food is good and price is reasonable. Would have have given it more stars but except when we arrived we were told they were full and to wait a few min outside (we were looking at an empty table btw). 15 seconds later a Dutch couple walks in and got seated immediately. They don t have reservations so it took a few dirty looks to get them to seat us.

Fantastic Dutch pancakes. In got the banana, bacon, and red pepper because it sounded interesting and it was great. You probably pay a slightly higher price because it's in a tourist area, but that's too be expected.

Good pancakes, dirty as sugar, not far from the Anne Frank house, ideal for breakfast. Warm welcome and with a smile. Only problem, only accept cb (like many stores in the city [including pharmacies])

Staff were quite rude. Spending 20 euros for a pancake and drink and you get a cold/lukewarm pancake--Ive been to all their shops in Amsterdam and its the same thing.. Premade pancakes that are warmed up. But at least the staff in those other shops are friendly. Probably won't bother going back

Really excellent food at a cozy venue.

Really excellent food at a cozy venue.

What makes me rate it higher-- our waitress made a mistake in writing up one of our orders as gluten free. As soon as my partner asked the server to confirm the food was gluten free, they immediately realized what had happened and worked with the kitchen to get a replacement out quickly, as well as comping any beverage on the menu.

Allergen related mistakes are very serious but we're pleased with how the restaurant handled its error. It is unfortunate that the vigilance is necessary but mistakes can happen and we valued the good service we received.

Worth the wait, which can be very considerable as you come up on noon.

As an additional note: the latte we got comped had "Sorry!" written in the foam. A small touch but one that made us smile.

Super yummy! Ordered the Salmon Pancakes with Creme Fraiche and Guacamole! Come early so you can get seats. Otherwise, you'll need to wait outside. It gets full pretty quickly. We were the first customers at 9am Sunday.

There is a lot of hype about this place, but I don't really understand why. Maybe we went on an off day. There was a line / wait to get in, which I think is normal. It's small and popular. Once we were in, we felt pressure to order quickly, but then it look a really long time for our food to come. Our waitress was really nice to us except for never bringing us water as we asked (we ordered other drinks as well.) She was also kind of rude to some other guests and we weren't sure why - maybe they did something to deserve it? It was strange. We ordered savory crepes and I don't think any of us were very satisfied. They just didn't have much flavor.

We did not even get in. When I opened the door, we were directly unfriendly rejected to wait at the entrance. Since there was no table, we waited a short time. When a table was vacated after a short time, we were still cleared away. A shame!

LOVED IT, people working there served our food and everything were perfectly planned! Just the orders were a bit unstructured, people after us were getting their food faster than us. There was also a queue at first, would be nice if it was bigger

After waiting for a table while keeping an eye on the group infront of us, we were told that we would have to start waiting from the back of the nonexistent line... This might be reasonable if there was anything resembling a line or a waiting area, but the only area to wait was already taken by one couple and we were considerate enough to wait across the street rather than intimidate seated customers by waiting directly infront of them.

Very unfortunate experience. Which seems to follow the trend of the last few weeks of reviews.

EDIT: after thinking about this, I've decided to change my rating from one start to two, as this was all decided by a single employee who made a bad judgement call.

There was a line to get in but it moved at a steady pace and was fine. The service inside was all over the place. We were seated along with the couple behind us in line. They placed an order after a few minutes, but it took us forever to finally flag someone down so we could do the same. Our food was slow to come out, and we had similar issues with getting the bill and paying. We'd ask for something, would get acknowledgment, and then were forgotten. The couple who came in with us ended up getting their food much later than us because their order somehow went missing. Our pancakes finally arrived and were totally bland, the sort of bland where even a little salt and pepper would have made a huge difference.

Most egregious, however, is something we saw during one of our many waits. Two Japanese men entered and gave a slight bow to the server before heading to their table. The male server gave a mocking bow once the men's backs were turned, looked around and laughed, then did it again. None of the other staff told him to stop being a d*ck. In what I'm sure was a coincidence, the forgotten couple was Indian, my party had someone with a Hispanic background, and everyone else in the restaurant was white.

So, 5 stars if you're pale and think salt is the devil. Otherwise, try one of the many other pancake restaurants in the city.

The pancakes were good and I would recommend it to people who want to try Dutch pancakes. Although the place is small, I like its cozy atmosphere and the interiors. However, my friend and I did not have a good experience with one of the servers. When we got to the restaurant, the place was full and we were second in line to be seated. We were told to wait 5 - 10 minutes. This was completely understandable and we did not mind waiting 10 minutes. However, what disappointed us was how our server had no interest in seating us. Within 3 minutes of our arrival, two tables left, freeing one space by the entrance. I saw the male server cleaned both tables and thought we would be served soon. To our disappointment however, our female server thought cleaning the counter surface, the menus and her nails were more important. About 10 minutes later, the people in front of us finally got seated and we thought we'd just get the space by the entrance soon, since it's been cleaned for a while already. We expressed to our server that we just wanted to sit down if the space is not reserved and were told (rudely) to wait for her to clean the table. She then cleaned the caps of all the condiments as well as the condiment tray which looked fine from the beginning. My friend and I don't think we did anything wrong but felt like we were getting the "attitude". We weren't shy about our frustration when there was a clean table ready for us, but we felt that the waiter could not care less and just performed her tasks as slow as she can to avoid seating us. To conclude, it's a decent place but not worth the hype.
