What a wonderful place to be! Even now the palace itself is closed for maintenance. The gardens are beautiful and also fun for children; there are treasure hunts, there is a lot to do in the children's studio and for the smaller children the play palace is a great success. The employees are remarkably friendly. The only thing that surprised us is that the restaurant at the stables square is self-service. Very neat and well cared for, but the concept does not fit so well with this ambiance (it is actually too beautiful for that). Admission is free with a museum card. Parking costs 2.50 per hour, 7.50 for a whole day.

Top location

Top location

In the previous centuries
Good facilities for food and drinks

Beautiful location for walking around and viewing. During the princes and princess days there is a lot to do for children. Nicely done by all staff. Magicians, disguised ladies and gentlemen, carriages, archery, and so on. Well arranged and free shuttle bus. Although the palace is closed for restoration, the gardens were really worth it.

Wonderful glimpse into the world of the Dutch royal family and the grandeur that came with it. Palace is excellent in terms of art and curiosities. The gardens are also worth a visit. Everything has recently been refurbished and restored to the 17th century situation. Absolute must.

The palace will be closed to the public for 3 years from September 2018.
For the moment only the gardens and stables are still accessible.
Beautiful area, but a pity to move so far to see only half.

Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn is a nice location to visit. Currently being renovated the palace. The entire front view will change, because a new pond will be realized. The gardens are just visiting at this time, you may also visit the roof of Palace Het Loo. This can be done via a temporary lift or staircase that is situated on the side. On some days, special events are organized, so there is more to do while visiting.

Het enige Nederlandse petit Versailles. Hollandse grandeur in een prachtig park. Vergeet niet om ook rond Het Oude Loo, het voormalige jachtslot te wandelen -slechts beperkt open in het voorjaar.

The gardens are beautiful, especially from the palace roof.
It is a pity that the palace is still a construction site until 2021 because visitors are making an entrance with an exhibition and exhibition space.

The Palace may be closed, but don't let that stop you from going anyway. The beautiful palace garden is open and you can get an impression of the extensive renovation that will take until 2021. The Paleispark, which is part of the Royal Domain, is also open (you have to pay a few euros entrance fee). There you can walk pole routes or just follow your own route. Find out where Wilhelmina buried her pets or where she had a cup of tea in the woods. The park at Oude Loo is also open in May.

Even more beautiful inside than outside!

Even more beautiful inside than outside!
The stables with all its vehicles are already special, but the palace itself is very beautiful.
You can look almost anywhere, making it feel like you live there yourself!

The garden is very well maintained and very beautiful to see.
From the roof you can look very far and overlook the entire garden.

Worth the visit. Never let our cultural heritage be lost or forgotten. That the young generation will find their way to this beautiful palace and the palace gardens. So beautifully maintained. From 2021 the palace has been completely refurbished. So just hope that many visitors will come.

This place was more than I expected. My family and I had a lovely day here. We particularly loved the gardens. My elderly parents were with us, and they found it a shame that there weren't enough places to sit down

It is a pity that the palace itself was closed due to a major renovation. In 2 years we will go back to see what it has become. Still enjoyed the old carriages and cars and the view of the gardens. Certainly do!

Lots of history. Paintings and furniture as they lived then. Many stairs but also an elevator. Please note: backpacks and umbrellas are not allowed into the main building. There are lockers. I think it would be nicer to visit the gardens in summer. It is impressive!

Despite the renovation had a very nice day with two small children (7 and 3). For the Kids there are two fun treasure hunts, one at the stables, etc. and one in the garden of the palace. Two instructive treasure hunts that they have really learned something from. Also the ride with the lift to the balcony was nice. You have a nice view over the garden, but you can also look in the construction pit on the other side of the palace.

It's a place of miracle and wonder. Normal people can experience what it might feel like to be royalty. The clean up and renovation plans are long overdue though. Glad they will start soon and make sure it will last another couple of hundred years or more.
