Delicious Clam Chowder and a couple of drinks for under $20. Pretty good if you ask me.

the aquaterra restaurant has a nice relaxing atmosphere, beautiful waterscape and good live band.
I dont drink alcohol any more but sure enjoy an arnold Palmer at the bar.
Or a nice Friday night dinner and enjoy some live music on the back porch. Really cool
The hotel was clean. I was very pleased with every encounter I had with the staff; absolutely everyone was friendly and helpful.
I don't even know where to start this review at. We recently stayed at the Pala Mesa and it was not good. First, we checked in and learned that we were given a room all the way in the back. As we enter the room it has a musky old smell. I know the building itself is old, but the room actually smelled old as well. The carpet was old as well and had stains. The mattress was as old and lumpy as can be. The pillows were super thin. The fridge in the room didn't work. The AC was not as cool as the temp said. In the morning there was very little hot water. I would also like to say that the website definitely hyped up the property. The rooms didn't look like the website. I would not ever stay here again! Save your money and go elsewhere.
I got a response from the general manager and also emailed him as well days ago, and still no response.
Great resort! The golf course is one of the best I have played. Their restaurant has the best food! They have the best chef!
Price was very reasonable and way under w
The value of the course / greens etc... One of the most unique tracks in the SD area and I absolutely loved the character and challenge on the greens. Get ready for greens rolling 10 plus with crazy breaks and sloping hillside angles. Very different and very cool challenge. Makes every hole an adventure.
Pala Mesa Golf Resort rated 3-1/2 stars: Not far from the former gold and tourmaline mines of Pala, the Pala Mesa Resort is home to a well-presented, scenic and always challenging golf course. Beyond the course the surrounding hills provide many scenic views, with avocado groves and fruit orchards much in evidence.
The place is really amazing, the welcoming atmosphere, but the hotel rooms had a little bit old facilities.
Stay and play. You will enjoy the golf and hotel. It makes for a great weekend getaway.
Needs a lot of renovations. Property needs some TLC. I was disappointed with my birthday stay. I will never go back.
We stayed at Pala Mesa Resort one evening during Memorial weekend. We were very disappointed in the quality of this establishment. Definitely was not worth the $258.12 price.
Let s start with the room: 1) the bed is out dated and feels like you are sleeping on springs. 2) the bathroom smells like mildew 3) there was a food tray from another room outside our front door the entire time of our stay. 4) the pool and jacuzzi were filthy and bug ridden. We went to sit by the jacuzzi and had to get up because of the ants and other bugs that were crawling on us. 5) we went to have dinner at the clubhouse. The live band was great, but the customer service was terrible. Our server was not very attentive and the wait for our food was unreasonable. We were not the only customers who were disappointed in the wait time. The manager of the restaurant was not much help either.
This place has potential to be a great getaway, but definitely needs some renovation and customer service training. We were very disappointed in our stay for the price. I would not recommend staying here.
Good music, drinks, and game machines are ok! Fabulous buffet!
This is a decent venue that had enough space to fit our 180 or so guests. The employees were friendly and accommodating even though they had a few other events happening at the same time as we had requested chairs multiple times throughout the night. The restrooms were a little dingy however...
Very good price for stay and play as well as the golf course, also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
Came here for a wedding a loved the place, wish I had some time to do a little golf ...
As a newly engaged couple we went to visit pala Mesa Resort 20 months in advance to the day we wanted to get married. Absolutely beautiful venue, food and bar was fantastic, I loved it. What I didn t love was after the tour the sales rep breathing down our throat for us to sign a contract right then and there without discussing numbers and budgets with parents and family. For a wedding over a year away I would recommend letting your venue sell itself, write quotes and give them 2 days to follow up instead of requiring us to sign and place a deposit on the spot. I do think it is a beautiful place though.
Got sick the next morning after eating at aquaterra. 3 of us doubled over in pain. Never again.
Great service, gorgeous rooms. Would stay at again!!
Great rate. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. The rooms are ready for updating though.
Wonderful place to hold events. Helpful staff and great food.
A gorgeous, semi-secluded resort easily accessible from the I15. I have no complaints about the staff, service, or accommodations.
We get our group of friends together here a lot. The food and service are so great!
We also play mahjong there 5-6 times a month and always feel welcome. We are taken care of so well!

Beautiful location, nice staff, quiet. The only problem is the room was a little dated and the bathroom needed some cosmetic repairs. Also had an old tube TV instead of a flat screen which for the price seemed less than optimal. Other than that great stay!
Great place to get away. We stayed there for 2 nights while our home was fumigated with our 2 cats and a dog. Price was better than boarding the pets and we got a very spacious room, a suite. At a good weed day rate. The only thing is its far away from everything, Bar closed at 8:30 on the night we wanted to go, Tuesday, our anniversary. No microwave in rooms.
Nice grounds for walking around and wedding venue.
Lots of issues....
First off, I had a great experience with the females I spoke to over the phone when booking. They were very attentive of my needs as a military personnel needing to be in the government rate. But once I got here. Entirely different story.
The gentleman at the front desk hardly ever looks up, you have to say hello first; he told me nothing of the "resort" such as what they offered. Nothing about the restaurant or check out time. NOTHING. I asked about the restaurant and if I would be able to get breakfast at 630. He said no they don't open till 7. Okay cool. But nothing else was said... He just looked back down at his phone while I was still standing in front of him.
I go check into my room, theres a food palate outside my door ... Though I got lucky yet they were just dirty dishes from a previous tendant ... Then I can't find the fridge. Once I do its WARM of course there are no dials... so, as a two week tendant, that's here for military reasons that gets up early, perhaps you want to inform them of how in the heck they're going to keep ANY food cold? Oh no microwaves either. Of course. And no response when I tell the front desk about my fridge. Utterly disappointed. And the bed, hard as a rock. No conditioner in the bathroom. And I had to ASK the front desk to remove the tray/dishes from outside my door. Thought a room attendant might have when they checked my room but they havent come by yet. PS this is night 3 of 12 I have to stay here.
The reservation gal and the sales manager were the only reason this received 2 stars. If not the front desk agent in the pm would have made this a beautiful one star.
Its ok. The place seems old. The furniture looks worn out. Staff is friendly
If your looking for a challenge in golf this is the place narrow fairways and fast greens. Love the landscape. Definitely will play this course again. Recommen it.
A golf day today and the course was well-kept I would rate it a seven and a half out of 10 the course was fairly easy and enjoyed golfing with the company a tad staff was friendly and helpful when we needed them for the most part the corsairs easy to maintain for ourselves a corporator with iron and the hot dogs were delicious
Nice place to get married, set up of tables, appetizer tables but needed a little more attention to detail. Tent where reception was had not been cleaned for a while, appetizers tasted plain, restrooms had no ventilation which made them hot inside.
Pala is the ONLY Casino we visit in the North San Diego County area. Our home away from home.
The place was very cozy and had things to do. Great for a weekend getaway.
Very nice place. We try to stay here each time we visit the area.
Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable
Nice course. Well manicured Fairways and greens just don't go as a single player or a threesome, make it even numbers otherwise you get matched up to play four. Not so good.
Awesome course 4 stars due to freeway proximity but outside of that minor distraction very well maintained
They really need to make a roof ventilation system. Way too smoky and to the point of nausea
Beautiful scenery and very helpful staff. Went there for a wedding and they really put an enchanting theme together
My last trip out was maybe the worst. The course was in poor condition and play wad slow. Hope the get it straightened out because I like the place.
Unfortunately, we weren't too happy with the place. The room had a free broken things especially in the bathroom. It felt really outdated. Staff are definitely not welcoming either.
Best spot for new love happy to be a part of there family
Rooms tired and very warn. Air conditioning barely works.
Great place, the people who I talked to were nice and once we got into our room that was great too. Everything was clean and organized property. Even the cups they gave us were still wet from being washed. What keep in mind that we did have a group of over 5 people so, yes there was a lot of things happening at the same time. But over great paying or your Buck. Thank you
Delicious Lunch. Well Priced
Staff was excellent. Covid friendly.
Friendly staff, typical rooms with very uncomfortable bed, beautiful course but fairways are in need of repair. Generally good experience.
Decent accommodations, but not really any better that most other motels. Refrigerator hummed like an aquarium all night...
Rooms were clean but a little dated. I read b a sign that said it is being taken over by Doubletree and will remodeled.
Great place for large meetings, good food, cookies in the afternoon was nice touch. Employees were friendly and helpful.
