Pretty old place, needs renovation. Other than that quiet and very friendly staff.

Really nice golf experience. Helpful staff, course is tough and in good shape. Was a pleasure.

Played before a golf outing at 7:48am. Played in 3 1/2 hours, geens fast and very true! Nice carts with GPS (included), pleasant Bev cart girl. Over all great experience, and will return. This place is in great shape

Nice little inexpensive get away. Wonderfully accommodating staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable but a bit tired. The grounds are very pretty.

Our group enjoyed a Christmas luncheon in the wedding venue. Everything was beautiful and the servers really went the extra mile to make us comfortable.

The place has the potential for being great as it once was. There has been no upkeep or renovation to this place in almost 10 years. The rooms, buildings everything looks like it has been in a time capsule and has not aged well. In desperate need of a face lift.

The restaurant staff needs incredible amounts of training. In 5 meals there we had there, we had to request silverware and plates almost everytime. When askes to pack up left overs the server accidentally threw our food away. Water and drinks were rarely refilled. These were just some of the issues.

Lastly they have continued to charge our card everyday for random items, though it has been 3 days since we have checked out. There has been no one in accounting to answer questions leaving us to dispute those charges with the CC company.

Room ok, cleaniness ok, ordered room service and asked to come pick it up myself. In a lower room and whoever was above was very loud or the floors are very weak. The service is good and food fine. No microwave in the room.

A good place to go if you are local. You can sit, drink wine and sometimes get live music

My family and I love this place. Anything you order will be good.

All time resort about to be taken over by Hilton but the golf course is good

Such a cute and quaint resort. We stayed here so my bf could golf and relax. The golf course is absolutely gorgeous and everyone we encountered were all so kind and went above and beyond to really make sure we had the nest experience.

The room was extremely dated. The bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. Had to pull the mattress to the floor to stop it from squeaking. The room smelled of mildew and my 4 year old remarked that it smelled like forest. 2nd stay and probably my last. Good thing was the restaurant and servers.

A bit difficult to get there I think there is a lack of lighting and signs on the freeway where it indicates when we are close to the exit to get to the hotel. The rooms are big but the TV is very small apart from that we could hear the person in the next room talking. The service is good when we were lost with the direction we called and the person who was at the reception gave the Inactions very clear and this is how we could get to the hotel, since it was night and you couldn't see where it was.

We were here for a friends wedding. They are undergoing a much needed renovation, however I felt the cost of the rooms was more than the rooms were worth. The room was spacious, but the air was struggling to keep the room cool and there were ants and bugs everywhere. The shower was old and a joke. I feel like they were motel 6 accommodations inside the actual room. But with there being no convenient accommodations close enough to the wedding we were almost forced to stay here and pay for the rooms.

Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Outdated if you don't mind that. Love the views. Pool and Jacuzzi a little dirty do to all the trees. Matress feels old. Despite all I would definitely stay here again.

It is a charming, beautiful, resort. It's in a quiet part of town. I was working with a wedding party. We used the room that the venue set aside for brides, or guests to get ready in. It was clean and comfortable. It had fairly nice furniture, and was well decorated. It had two very well lit vanities with comfortable chairs, plenty of shelves to put cosmetics, etc., and the bathroom was clean, nice, and bright. It had a refrigerator, air conditioning (we really needed it that day), and plenty of additional seating. The golf course and other outdoor grass areas were very beautiful and well kept! I was really impressed with this seemingly small venue, in a small town!

Nice place. Could use a drink/club car and much better options for snack shack.

We had a great deal on golf and had a great lunch, awesome onion rings. Friendly and fast greens.

All I have to say is nasty smelly old room ground floor had dead bugs all over the place noisey from the top floor room. I only stayed because of the tour I had the next day, Can you say make over will not ever stay at this Pala Mesa Resort ever, change you name to Pala Mesa Motel......my experience.

Did not stay or play golf. Did spend the afternoon at their restaurant Aqua Terra. The food was good the staff was great.

Absolutely terrible. Would never stay here again. DO NOT STAY HERE!

My husband and I love and really enjoyed being here at Pala Mesa Resort.

This place has so much potential. Gorgeous property that badly needs an update. None of the ice machines on the end of the resort where I stayed were working, which was decidedly not a plus on a 90 degree day. The decor didn't appear to have been updated since at least the mid 90s. And they have this bizarre waterfall urinal in one of the men's rooms. Not sure if I should have been pissing into it or posing in front of it. I was not alone in my confusion as all the men in the wedding party who came in took one look at it and headed for a stall. That said, the restaurant has a nice view overlooking the golf course and the breakfast buffet was not bad. I hear they were bought out by Hilton so changes are coming for sure.

Didnt end up staying. We walked in the room and it was musty smelling, sat on the bed and it felt as though we sank to the floor. Customer service was good, didnt hassle when we requested to cancel our stay.

Kinda pricey considering the shape it's in...interesting layout.

Visiting relatives condo needs tree's in surrounding area to be maintained better and stairwells need replacing

Enjoyed the golf course. Only reason 3/5 stars is because after reserving a tee-time for a morning with 2 players, the starter forced us to pair up with two other players. I purposely made the tee-time for two because my girlfriend is still learning how to play. As a foursome, we ended up playing slow and the Marshall made the round less enjoyable for a new player having yo constantly worry about pace and not getting to play all their shots.

Would be nice if a tee time for two mentioned that you would be paired up so I could have planned accordingly.

I almost got hit by an old tree branch as I'm playing in the fairway.?

What a great place to frequent. Great vacation for the weekend. The brunches are fabulous too.

There for an outdoor music event. Friendly wait staff, good food.

I stayed at Pala Mesa Resort for four days. The first three nights were fine. There was some leaf blowing at 5:30 am outside my window but on the whole, it was ok but the fourth night was something else. Friday night there was a wedding, and there was a little bit of noise late at night but Saturday night a full mariachi band started at 9:45 pm and played until after 12:30 pm. The band was very loud; there was no amount of white noise or surrounding my head in pillows that could block out the tubas and drums. The hotel did nothing to quite the noise and considering the band did not start until 9:45 pm I can only assume that the wedding was on schedule and that the hotel did not care that the noise was too loud for the rest of the guest. I was there with a group of 18 people who all had the same experience I did. The hotel will not return phone calls and has made no attempt to fix or find out what happened. I can only assume that this must be business as usual. My advice is if you are not attending a wedding there find another hotel if you need to count on getting some sleep.

A vacation close to home, always been fun to come back to especially when you are from SoCal. The restaurant personnel are so nice, very accommodating and caring. For golfers, stay right side of the fairways. Balls roll towards the freeway. Fairways are well maintained, greens could get fast during the summer.

Had a nice time playing 18 holes here. Well maintained course. I was worried that the proximity to the freeway would be noisy and distracting, but you could really only hear it on a few holes.

When walking into the lobby, it felt like a great place. We loved the restaurant in every way...the ambiance, the staff, the food, & the drinks were wonderful. The room we were promised was supposed to be a fairway view & there was no view at all. We could barely see through the trees to the parking lot. The room smelled musty, the curtains were unhemmed, the bed was old and uncomfortable, and the television was small with very poor reception. We were also given a room right next to a wedding reception, so it was loud and there was no parking. We asked to be moved, which they did the next day. They moved us to an Executive Suite overlooking the pool, which was very nice. I left an expensive hair tool in the room and there was no record of it being found, so that was disconcerting. Someone has obviously taken it. I am positive I left it in the room. So, all in all, I would recommend the dining area, especially outside. The food and drinks are great, service too. Other than that, I would not stay there again.

The grounds were lovely, but overall we were disappointed with our stay. The guest room was in dire need of upkeep and the help seemed overwhelmed by every small request. While the service was okay when there was only one or two people in the restaurant, when a large party showed up for breakfast, they completely failed to even address us. We ended up leaving for somewhere else to eat. It took several requests to get a cart to shuttle the older guests around the grounds.

People were very nice. Room was clean but definitely old. Built in the 60s with an older musty smell in the room. We requested a room change. The staff was very accommodating but the same smell was in the new room. There is a newer section but we were unable to get a room there, probably because of the wedding occurring on-site.
