Always a lot of fun. Make sure to catch a laser show! Also the new VR experience is way cool.
Always a lot of fun. Make sure to catch a laser show! Also the new VR experience is way cool.
It s unfortunate that we don t have more of these types of resources in more cities throughout the country. PSC is THE BEST museum and place for children (and adults) to explore through all the senses. It allows you to imagine again, which we all need to do more theses day. ;) So go have fun and learn as much as you can!!
Great place for kids. Just a bit hard to park if you visit in peak hours.
I'm a grown ass man and this place was a blast to hang out at. There are so many cool things to learn and play around with here it'll keep you and your kids entertained for hours. By far the best attraction from my Seattle city pass.
Perfect if you have children. You can go by yourself even. When I went it was amazing I love it so did my brother's and sisters mom and dad
My girlfriend and I visited here just the other day and we both had a great time. General Admission for adults is just under $24, and includes free access to the planetarium shows held throughout the day. On that note, you do have to pick up a separate ticket for those as the seating is limited.
The Center features a diverse array of exhibits and touches on various subjects, ranging from the human body to the solar system to dinosaurs. A really nice touch is that there are plenty of interactive exhibits and stations that are fun for adults and children alike.
Overall, a great place for anyone to visit.
Great place for family time and learning in every aspect.
My 8 year old loves this place. Easy to spend 3 to 4 hours there. Was not impressed by Stranger Things laser light show.
My wife and I took our family there to see the model train exhibits and we were universally disappointed. From me to our two year old, it was a big letdown. We've been to several kids' science museums and they all cost less for more, less dated content.
Not much to see. More of a day care center. Very little of interest when compared with similar museums in other cities.
I love this place. Tons of stuff to see and learn. Love so much coming here with my 3 and 9 year old and learning about all kinds of stuff. We are members and if it's up to me, we'll be members for life.
For kids there are hands in exhibits (touch sea life) and visual (dinosaur room) for a variety of ages
Very educational, for adults and kids. We got a year membership!
Cant believe how lame this place is for a city full of techies . The displays are basic and feel like they have not been upgraded since 1960.
Great place to take the kids, but it's basically the same as when I was a kid so the exhibits are becoming really dated. The kids will still have a great time though and it's a place to take the kids when you can't be outside. Butterfly room is still a favorite.
A staple of Seattle. Tons to see and learn. IMAX theater is unmatched (try it in 3D) new exhibits all the time.
This is for children, there's not much for adults, so just go to the Glass exhibit for the City Pass.
I had a good time as an adult. There were interesting people with booths as part of the curiosities expo that you could talk to. The butterfly house was pretty. They had people come in and talk about space elevators in real life which was cool. I think the place is brilliant for kids, although as an adult I'm not sure how much I learned. The place is altogether not that large but does take hours to explore thoroughly.
I had a lot of fun with the simple exhibits that tested reaction time, grip, eyesight, colorblindness, sound, etc. I did love the butterfly garden. I did make the mistake of arriving later in the day and missed things I really wanted to see, for instance, the planetarium, the dinosaurs, the space exhibit, would have liked to see Imax. I was super disappointed with the gift shop, I like to pick up at least something from each place I go while on vacation, but their gift shop had absolutely nothing...
My husband and I had the good fortune to see the King Tut exhibit 30 years ago, though we each saw it in different cities: I, in San Francisco and he, in London.
When part of the exhibit arrived in Seattle, I, in my haste, dragged my husband down to Seattle (we live on Guemes Island) without first reading any of the posted reviews...
Though the exhibit did contain interesting pieces, it did not include most of the pieces in the original show.
Sean (husband) makes a case illustrating corporate America's continued deception and profiteering. Further, he eagerly awaits wrestling to be featured on National Geographic on television-)
My students loved the PacSci!!! They did not sit down the entire time we were there: so much to do and look at! It was great that I could be there to help them talk about what they saw because they just didn't even have words to describe all that they did and seen. We went to almost all the buildings, spending most of the day there. Definitely want to come back and explore some more!
The science center is great, but the park-aid is a giant hazmat mess. It is not safe for children, there is urine in every corner, and every inch of the floor and bottles of urine and feces to be found. With children they touch or little toddlers might fall and land in the puddles. It s an embarrassment and a major health concern.
Went for an evening laser show, it is amazing, some cheap snacks at the door, I'm going back soon!
Awesome place for kids. One year memberships are a great deal if you come back multiple times which my family and I do.
Absolutely amazing! I The Pacific Science Center is one of the best museums I have ever visited--the science exhibits are informational, interactive, and mind-expanding!
We've been coming here for over a decade. The exhibits are a lot of fun, though most of them haven't changed much, there are some newer exhibits worth checking out. My kid has yet to get bored with most of the older exhibits here. There are always new projects/experiments to try at the Tinker Tank which was a lot of fun for my son and we were able to work together to test theories. The Imax seats are uncomfortable, if you plan on watching anything longer than an hour.
One of the Yamasaki's great creations! Stunning beauty!
Buy tickets but stay only 20 minutes. For children, not for me.
Went there, mainly, for the butterfly exhibit. It was really nice, seeing so many different species of butterfly, up close.
I really enjoyed the abundance of people working at the museum encouraging kids to be hands-on with many exhibits.
It's a great place for playdates (my little one is 7). Membership is reasonable, especially if you visit a few times per year. They change the exhibits and add live events and shows frequently enough that coming back is worthwhile. Membership includes free guest passes, free movies, discounts, blah, blah, which are great for playdates.
Parking pricing sucks now that it's managed by Diamond. Diamond is a fine parking company, but their pricing is outrageous.
There are a wide variety of entertaining and educational exhibits that were fun for young and old. The biggest ding against the place is that the facility and some of the exhibits are beginning to feel dated.
Great place for kids and families. Tons of hands-on exhibits with plenty for parents to do at the same time. Be sure to check out their rotating exhibits as they tend to offer the coolest stuff.
Loads of fun for the family. Very budget friendly. Would recommend and come again.
My family had so much fun here. It is so worth the money. My favorite was the butterfly Museum. Just make sure to ask when they close cause they didnt tell us and we had to rush so that was a bummer. But pack a lunch and take your kids and family to have some fun
Been going here since I was a child. Great place to relax and learn.
Fun and interactive for kids. Not very educational for adults.
So much fun for a while family! Takes a whole day at least!
had a great time at the Pacific science center in Seattle Washington with my mom and Sarah my niece
Cool museum. Geared towards middle school aged children, but enough to keep adults interested as well.
Love this place kids have a great time and learn too. Can not ask for much more maybe lower proces a few days a werk for people who can not afford it. Fun educational places should not cost so much so more people can attend
Great place to take kids off all ages to play and interact with science exhibits . This can be quick or can spend several hours looking at everything.
A truly magical place to visit especially with kids!
Overall really cool, but very crowded while we were there (I think we happened to time our visit while they had 3 different schools or groups visiting on a field trip). We went to the Lego exhibit which was definitely worth it.
The place is AMAZING for both young and old with curious minds, and if you're not, it may be the place to visit to create that spark into the world of science, nature, and beyond.
Cool place especially with the Art of the Brick exhibit!
It was fun, although it felt a bit limited and certainly geared towards a much younger audience. The science center doesn't seem to have any particular theme, with exhibits varying significantly from dinosaurs to virtual reality, and even a butterfly garden. As a first time visitor it was a fun and somewhat educational experience, however I doubt I would go more than once as it just feels a bit lacking for an older audience. It was enjoyable regardless, just not something worth more than a single visit for the one-time experience. There are some on-site demonstrations performed by employees, but these were geared primarily towards elementary aged kids. Overall there was a lack of employees and several exhibits were fairly static. Still, it certainly seemed as though it would be a wonderful place to bring younger kids. At the time of my visit the outside water fountains were also turned off due to maintenance and a VR exhibit was still being constructed.
For the kids 12 and under, also while they have vr you have to try beat saber! Laser show is neat but nothing spectacular to me. Many great documentaries in imax too
Perfect for the family. Fun facts, nice displays. Lucky day, they had 5 ducklings out in the water. Make sure to stop at the Butterfly house, they might land on you.
Absolutely ridiculous that you pay $25 to get into the place, then they try to charge additional money to enjoy all the exhibits! I mean who want to spend $100 for a family of 4 only to be told once you get in "Oh you want to do VR? Well that's an additional $15 per person.". What a rip off! Fee should cover ALL exhibits
Our 8 year old spent a few hours in the tech area alone, one day wasn't enough for her to enjoy everything they had to offer. Well worth the admission!
Been coming here since I was a kid. Great place to go see a show at the IMAX Theatre or for the Nutcracker during the holiday season
We went to watch a documentary on the imax screen. The grounds and the theater were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our three kids enjoyed the other activities located at the science center and we thought the price of admission was reasonable for five of us. This was a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and a great way to take in a bit of science.
Wonderful science center covering a wide range of topics, including a butterfly house! We really enjoyed one of the demonstration shows, and also had fun in the small children's play area.
We went as a family for the King Tut exhibit. My wife and kids really liked the exhibit. My son and I found the rest of the displays there really a lot of fun and quite interesting. If you have kids, plan to spend 2-4 hours looking at and playing with the exhibits. If you go to the King Tut and take in an IMAX movie, you've spent the whole day. I would recommend that you go out of the museum for lunch as the one cafe in the museum did not have a very good selection and you do have in-out privileges for everything but the King Tut. All in all, we enjoyed the museum and will want to go back next year.
Great place for kids. Lots of "buttons" for then to press while learning things. Couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Parking on site is limited so if you go on a busy day it won't be easy to park. 2. No real restaurant on site but there is a good court in the armory near by so not that bad.
Perfect place for adults and kids to enjoy together.
I loved the Strange things lazer show with music from the 80's.
Pretty neat place to visit for a while, mostly stuff for kids with exception of the various VR games.
Great experience for the whole family!! So worth going. I sometimes spend the whole day here;)
Loving it, the kids loved it, anyone could spend a whole day here, learning and playing combined.
Family fun the Lazer show is awesome. Butterfly, butterfly, butterfly! Don't miss
Amazing place to spend a day - many things to explore and learn. I plan to put it on our once a quarter places to visit list - many things to engage kids meaningfully.
Went here for a Terracotta Warrior exhibit, which was fantastic. The rest of the facility....you need a kid to understand....looks like a great facility...just not a lot to do for adults.
I wish we could have spent more time there. However the time my family and I spent there was great. There is a lot to learn.
I have the Amsterdam Nemo museum to compare and this does not hold up to expectation.
