A good place to get your kids. The centre has many sections. Four to be precise. The first one had experiment section where theme of the experiments were air. It had a person performing experiments and kids around, loved it. Second section had dinosaurs as theme with fossils of few dinosaurs on display. Next section had astronomy theme. Here, there were many hands-on equipments, and it was fun to work with. Next one had various other miscellaneous displays.
Overall it was a nice experience and my kid would have loved it. I might have missed or jumbled few explanation. Sorry for that

Parking was full when we arrived so we had to park in one of the adjacent garages. The line was very long and they only had two windows open at the time. I HIGHLY recommend going to the Denny St entrance. Much quicker. Used our military discount for admission. The exhibits were very kid friendly and there were plenty interactive ones to keep the little ones entertained. If you're going for general admission, I would recommended children under 10 would find this most interesting. Obviously, my favorite exhibit was the butterfly house

If you have children, Pacific Science Center is THE place to go in Seattle. Since it often rains, it's something to do outside your home that keeps you dry.

Located nearby a park, the Space Needle, and the Museum of Pop Culture, it's in a great spot. With the location, comes a large dining hall with over a dozen food spots like Mod Pizza, Subway, and The Bubble Tea Shop (There is a cafe inside the Pacific Science Center too, but it's expensive and the food options are sparse).

The Pacific Science Center costs money, but once inside you can spend hours here to make it money well spent. The buildings are divided by number and offer a variety of things for kids. One building has dinosaurs, the other space related things, another one a butterfly house. There is even an IMAX theater!

Here are the top things to do for kids, adults, and a few things that both enjoy:

Kids:
1) The live shows- there's a woman that will do a light show for kids one hour and then an animal petting show the next hour. It will keep your kids entertained.
2) The giant games/table- one room has kid sized games like chess and checkers and even has a large table and chairs for kids to climb on.
3) The space area- there are many interactive exhibits from a scale to weigh you on each planet to a giant puzzle of the stars.
4) The ocean petting zoo- it's small, but kids can see and pet star fish and a few other water animals.

Adults:
1) The architecture- if you love photography, the outside courtyard is beautiful offering brutalist architecture with the Space Needle as a backdrop.

Both:
1) The butterfly house- hundreds of butterflies fly over you and even land on your phone for a butterfly selfie.
2) The animal exhibit- you can see snakes, cockroaches, bees, and other interesting animals.
3) Water guns- outside there are two giant water guns you can spray at moving targets!

If you have children, this is a must-do in downtown Seattle!

Doesn't get better than this. Ride the high rail bike backwards around the rail three times and it will.ooen up.an interdimensional time portal to take you back to 1967. And there you have it, the Pacific Science Center.

This is a great place to take young kids (and potentially older). There are myriad interactive exhibits, and their new VR section is very promising. There always seem to be some sections that are a little rough around the edges, but it's still a ton of fun. An annual membership definitely makes sense for families with elementary school age children that are perhaps tired of the zoo and the aquarium.

PSC is a good Science Center with plenty of hands on and interactive exhibits as well as a good assortment of travelling exhibits. The butterfly exhibit is also fun to tour (watch your step!) It's a great place to spend several hours with the kids. There is a parking garage adjacent to the PSC, as well as several other structures associated with the Seattle Center. Unless a festival is happening, you should be able to find a spot to park. Arrive early for the least crowds.

My wife, daughter and I went to this yesterday and the dinosaur visit was the best part which hasn't changed since we were in 1st grade so that is saying something. Everything is outdated, the utilization of space gets an F grade. And Chorus the Virtual Reality game is the worst use of that technology I have ever experienced by far, you can get more out of a 3 year old phone with a cardboard VR headpiece than that garbage!
The dinosaur exhibits have information from the 80's still up. Horrible.
Please! Please!
You're the Pacific Science Center! You should have the top of the line science experiences and everything should be included in an astronomical $25+ ticket! With all that space outside, all the space in (the very hard to find) area 4, all the space everywhere you can all do a lot better!
Now, I will say all the employees were so nice and helpful, but the experiences were so terrible that it was laughable.
If you are 2 years old or 82+ this all might interest you but if you are anywhere in between please go to the Woodland Park Zoo, or Mopop, or even a Best Buy to get a better experience.

My wife and I got a membership to take our kids aged 5 and 3. We have as much fun going here as they do. The membership has been a great deal and I recommend getting it if you are going to go. The additional things such as the laser shows and IMAX films are such a good add on.

Fun.

Go somewhere else!!! - Went here last year with my 8yr old daughter who is into science, hated the place, waste of money (is very expensive!). The place is worn out, many or the exhibits were worn out or broken. As it was "winter" all the outside exhibits where closed (but the price is the same!?!). The VR was very average looking so we didn't bother & you have to pay extra for I-max!!! If I could give it less than 1 star I would!

The Pacific Science Center is very nostalgic for me as I went there often as a child and teen. I still think it's awesome! The Imax theater is good, and the butterfly house is a magical place! There are so many odd things to look at and experience. It was getting a little run down there for a bit, but they're updating it. This is a wonderful place to have a membership if you have young children. My complaint is the cost of parking, which has reached levels of absurdity. We spent $25 for just 3 hours!

This came in our city pass, and I really want to say this place is great if you have kids.... If you don't stay away!..... I don't have kids, all I heard was kids banging on things or screaming.... Not for me. Only benefit was the laser shoe which was awesome!

Interactive museum with lots of topics covered from dinosaurs, spaces and life science. All explained and exhibited in a way for kids to comprehend and experience. I spend an easy 2 hour there, tried our best to run through each hall. We could have had more insightful tour if we have got more time.

The best place to bring out the curious child in you and your child into a budding scientist, astronomer and what not. This place has never been boring to me and my family after umpteen visits. The membership is worth it. Amazing exhibits, shows and hands on experience. Must visit.

I recently attended an Imax movie screening here and was amazed at the cleanliness of the theater and the wide selection of films to view. They had everything from documentaries to recent blockbusters. I had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning.

I'm only here for the Boeing IMAX theater - giant screen and amazing sound. The Paccar theater is older and not worth it. Parking is always a pain so show up early and especially for popular movies. There are no trailers in the beginning so the showing time is actually when the movie will start.

Not as good as it used to be. I loved this place as a kid, but was really disappointed when I took mine yesterday. This whole place needs an overhaul. You can tell they tried, but it s much more reading and information based and much less hands on experimental learning than most science centers these days. I got a family pass to my local center and used it to visit five others in the past month. Sadly, Pacific Science Center was by far the most disappointing. If you are in the area and have to chose one, go up to Everett and visit Imagine Children s Museum. Your kids will have a lot more fun and much more exploration opportunities. My kids are 4, 6, and 9.

I love taking my kid here but the Pacific Science Center could use an overhaul. It just needs a bit more polish. Cleanup of a few details. The exterior park could use an all around power wash. Another bathroom near the dino exhibit would be handy.

Highly recommend for young kids ages 13 and under, my 8 year old loved the laser light show!
The dinosaurs were fun and the interactive stuff was a great place to relax amid our busy schedules weekend of events!
