Rooms were a little small, but the hotel was conveniently located near the airport with shuttles back and forth.

It was a very clean and easy to navigate the hotel. The concierges were very helpful and so polite. They made the experience very delightful.
A very convenient option for Vancouver international airport. Huge rooms, and a clean hotel gives you all the space to yourself that you need before or after all those hours crammed inside a plane.
Great food at the restaurant and bar. Clean rooms, and exceptional service!
Beautiful ballroom and facility in general. Great and helpful staff. Food served (buffet style) was a bit cold.
They let me check in 3 hours earlier than regular. Nice staff. Great room.
Great meeting spot and restaurant close to the YVR !
Very nice hotel. Great views of the river and marina
Awesome accommodations. Great staff. From the time you arrive till the day you depart you feel like you belong here. Great food. Gray bar. Outstanding service.
Nice rooms curtious staff reasonable prices comfy bed
Needed somewhere close to the airport for a single nights stay. PGH was the ideal choice. We got a great price online. The room was comfy and suited our needs. The aircon was a little noisy until I dialled it down. Had a good night's sleep until woken by some large insect on my arm. Killed it and went back to sleep. All in all, a good place. I'll be booking there again shortly for July 2018 so it gets a thumbs up from me.
They provide free shuttle bus every hour on 20 minutes
A nice gym on 14 th floor open 24 hours
I travel in and out of Vancouver a lot - often spending the night in various hotels. The room didn't wow me honestly - but there was nothing wrong with it that's for sure. Very clean - Mogiana dark roast coffee in the room.
Extremely convenient that there is a check-in keeyask in the lobby where you can check in and print off your baggage tags right in the hotel. 5 minutes to the airport - pretty hard to beat.
4.5 stars for the most convenient hotel I've stayed in in Vancouver. (Obviously the Fairmont will beat it out in that department but... This is less than half the price - far greater value)
Fourth stay at the Pacific Gateway, this time had to wait 45 minutes for room to be ready, arrived at hotel at 3:45 didn't get room until 4:30. A little frustrating.
Fine hotel for a short night before or after a flight. The breakfast was nice as well
Great shuttle, extremely comfortable bed and quiet room, coffee station in the morning and a fabulous restaurant!
Decent place, walking distance from McArthur Glen (but don't use Google maps directions).
Good accommodation for the last night in Vancouver, very close to the airport. Clean rooms and good restaurant with nice view.
Decent. Views are nice if you can get a water-view. I wish there was coffee after 12:30, otherwise you have to walk to the restaurant, and it takes a while. The coffee shop is fantastic when it is open. Gym is on the top floor, and the views are pretty spectacular.
This is where China Air put us up after plane delays. The food in the restaurant was delicious and not as pricey as I would expect, $15 actually bought a main course. They also have airport shuttles every 20 minutes which is great. The only negative that I've found is that they no longer have feminine hygiene products at reception. It is a nitpicky thing, but the counter girl keeps some in her desk which was awesome, now if only they would bring it back as an offering they would easily be a 5 star.
I rented a car 2 go from the parking lot. It was a great parking lot.
I found Pacific Gateway on Hotwire and it said they were a 4 star hotel !! Far from it !! I would classify it as a 2 star hotel. The pictures online were very deceiving. Why put pictures up online if the rooms look nothing like it!
Lets start with this:
There is a large parking charge of $18 a night. When we got to the room they told us there would be a menu for room service and there wasn't so we had to go down to get another one. I took a shower and the shower curtain screeched as we moved it across and then it wreaked like mold. The room looked nothing like the pictures online. It looked like a room that was 20-30 years old. Very dark and dreary, the cabinets in there had paint that was fading and looked very low quality.
I finally ordered room service and I called room service 5 times and it would go to voicemail? I then called the front desk and they forwarded me to room service and again it went to voicemail. Finally someone called me back who was extremely rude, and mid conversation he just hung up on me. I called back he said I got your order and hung up again. I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me. When the room service came the person did not say "can I come in" they just barged in right by the door.
There were no waters for purchase in the room, there was a very old low quality coffee maker, there was no shampoo in the room. It was literally one of the worst stays I have had in a hotel. A real joke, they scammed me for my money I feel like with their beautiful pictures online and then a disgusting experience. It was terrible.
I stayed here maybe about 6 years ago (not booked thru hotwire). It looks like this place is going through a remodel this time around, it doesn't look like they are done though or at least i hope not. It wasn't 4 star last time and really shouldn't be 4 star this time time either. The room was generally fine, probably on par with the nearby Hilton or Sheraton however there are some things that were very disappointing. First the location is really close to the airport, literally next to it in fact, so it wasn't walking distance to any shops or cafes. I had to drive like 10 mins to the nearest starbucks. Secondly they charged $18 for parking when there's tons of spaces available, it's really not in an area where i thought they should even charge for parking because it's not really close to anything besides the airport. Thirdly I thought the service wasn't that great either, only 1 bath towel in our room that had four guests. Placed on hold indefinitely when called to ask for more towels. Finally and probably the most important is that the pool was dirty and the towels that were provided in the pool area were very thin and didn't feel clean at all. Also they advertised it as a 'heated' pool however it was super cold. Needless to say my kids were also very disappointed with the pool. I booked thru hotwire 'hot rate' service and was very disappointed that it included this hotel in it's 4 star list. Will probably not use hotwire again and will not stay at this place again.
Clean comfortable rooms. Sound proofing between adjoining rooms could be better. A TV at regular volume can be heard in the next room. On sunny days stay on the OTHER side of hotel otherwise rooms are HOT. On site restaurant is good. Disagree with some hotel sites that have this hotel rated at 4-stars. On par with most 3 and 3.5 star locations.
Friendly and helpful staff; clean and decent room; free shuttle to YVR airport; close to outlet
Clean, well maintained property. Close to the airport with frequent shuttle service.
Attended a wedding here - great venue with awesome food and very accommodating staff!
Firstly know that they have a free shuttle to and from the airport, this will save huge on taxi and train.
Know this as well, the front staff are friendly as all hell, truly, it's a genuine welcome and not a fake one, I was pleasantly surprised because I'm used to worn out staff. They're high energy and ready to be of service.
There's a cafe built in with fairly priced coffee, the snacks are definitely hotel prices and very expensive.
The built in corner store is a better option for snacks, more selection.
The room we got was comfy, big TV, not smart so don't think about smart casting.
Weirdly enough the dock in the room is still an iPhone 4 generation, made me laugh.
Overall great stay, I would avoid the Dock restaurant at costs, you're better off going to somewhere else, the service is just real bad, like bad. I didn't let this reflect on the hotel or their built in bar and restaurant, that was great
Very friendly helpful staff. Only downside no indoor pool/ hottub
Great service, deduction only for breakfast, I think for the offered buffet too expensive.
Decent room overall but less than adequate bedding...reminded me of slightly improved polyester 80s motel bedding. Horribly inefficient and noisy HVAC. Lobby bar was very nice with great service and good snacks. Breakfast restaurant was "hotel average". Pier 73 dinner restaurant is closed until spring.
I was quiet surprised at how comfortable the bed was. View was spectacular and the front desk staff very helpful and efficient for the business traveler
Standard hotel. It's showing some age but they've tried to upgrade it.
Everything was meh, sheets were dirty. No information accessible, no frills of any kind. Close to airport though, and affordable
Really nice. Slow food service. Ice machines sounded like an avalanche which isn t a big deal unless your room is right next to it.
Went to the new restaurant by the hotel, had a nice outdoor patio, good atmosphere, and 2 hours free parking!
A gorgeous hotel on the Fraser River in Vancouver with very comfortable rooms and Pier 73 restaurant has very good food.
Attended a work conference in the ballroom. The food provided was very good. Plenty of parking, although there was no signage into the parking lot, I had to go through the bus lane, not sure if it was legal, but it was confusing.
Conference centre was adequate and free parking provided.
The room is very good to rest.
It has a cafeteria service, a restaurant with a delicious menu, the pool is large and outdoors, has a garden, a souvenir shop and the attention of the staff is extremely friendly.
The shuttle service takes us punctually to the airport and thus be able to move to the center or to the sea bus. Everything is very timely.
Maybe one of Richmond's better places to unwind. The rooms are excellent and the Hotel in general is quite impressive.
However, the convention centers do need to be upgraded / renovated to compete with some of the other Hotels in Greater Vancouver area.
Good hotel. Clean. Price for breakfast was expensive but it is a city and airport hotel. $24 a head for breakfast and it was ok. $90 in total for 3 of us Including GST, PST tax and tip. You wouldn't pay that in the UK for breakfast. Very expensive indeed. 3 of us had breakfast in Whistler for $58 including tax and tip and it was the best breakfast we have had. Absolutely amazing.
Excellent hotel Clean, comfortable and without noise!
The staff greeted me and my family with an exceptional attitude, let us park our RV in their lot. Accommodated us very well, it was the first time my family travelled with my youngest nieces, upon check in the clerk gave the girls a toy. Definitely great place for business, family and a solo stay. I will return!
Decent hotel. It s in a location where it s difficult to get places. There is a transit stop right outside but takes forever to get into Vancouver. No restaurants are all that close. Taking the shuttle to the airport is helpful as they have a food court there.
Nice environment along the beautiful river. Restaurant food is delicious.
Looked like an older hotel, but has been maintained well and updated. Restaurants were fantastic with beautiful outdoor seating. Beds were comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed, nice rooms, friendly staff. The food options are good too, both restaurants were good for a quick bite to eat after a long day.
My only two complaints are that the showers are far too short to stand comfortably, meaning that I had to squat to get underneath the water, even though I am not that tall. The other thing is that the TV's are slow and the channels aren't very good, in my opinion.
I'd happily stay here again though, it's one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at in Vancouver.
We stayed after getting bumped for a flight, the rooms were nice, very clean. The restaurant is really cute and their food is tasty. Lots of good local beers!
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Nice view of the Fraser River and very close to YVR. Love the recent remodelling to bar and restaurant!
Attended a Christmas work function in the Douglas Fir room. Very clean and comfortable. Service and catering was excellent and I'm told the price was very reasonable. My only complaint was the neighboring event repeatedly asking us to be quiet despite us telling them the first time that this was a Christmas party and we would do our best.
Everyone was very friendly. I attended for a work conference and was pleasantly surprised at the service level.
Although I was here for an event, I didn't stay overnight it anything. I can't provide a review about the room but the ballroom was cleaned and we'll maintained. Washroom were clean as well.
One of the coffee mugs in my room had mold in it. Otherwise it seems like a nice hotel.
I was assigned a room that was in remodeling area, I could not rest because the sounds of hammers and drills made it impossible.
Nice stay
Clean room
Friendly staff
Air conditioning in my room didn't work well enough to counter the heat. The staff were very nice and provided a fan which helped a bit. If you prefer sleeping in a cool room you may be disappointed.
Spent time in the conference room, very nice, very clean, very appropriate
Conveniently located, comfortable beds and standard rooms. Staff service was great.
Pool, parking was $18 per night, nice clean rooms although a little small.
Close to Vancouver Airport 4 star hotel with a shuttle to the airport and the Vancouver transit
