Good hotel there was a movie shoot going on at the time so hard to say on the quality of the hotel while being there
The location is out of the way to access public transport.... Room was OK...
Clean facility. Friendly staff. Great breakfast (a bit pricey though)
Pier 73 has great atmosphere, food, and drink. Highly recommended.
Rooms were nice. Great location for access to airport
Attended a wedding in red cedar ballroom. Overall nice facilities. Clean and well kept. Nice washrooms and decent lobby.
Splashy lobby area, lots of glossy multi-colored marble. Everything looked clean, but the rooms smell of B.O. as soon as you walk in. I think they need to buy either new carpet or new mattresses.
Matt the man the legend HIMSELF (this is about the restaurant)
On my way in, I thought i was just gonna have an average experience at this place. But as Matt comes with his astonishingly amazing service with the most baffling attention to details, he changed my mind. He was such a kind, caring person, serving each and every customers with compassion and respect.
The constant smile on his face shows how passionate he is to his job, yet he is always calm, responding to every request from customers, even when they are just silly and inane requests.
Although we are thankful to him for his service, he s the one thats always appreciate the customers. We strongly believe that Matt has gained all the skill of serving customers through his own hands on experience, he should be promoted to a level well beyond being a server. He mastered the art of serving, showing promising capabilities that is both beneficial to the hotel and to the vast population of customers.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice at about $16 or $25 for buffet.
Very nice hotel, with friendly staff. Close to YVR.
Great place to stay if you need to be near the airport. They have an awesome restaurant on site as well that sits over water... nice atmosphere and courteous staff and serves.
Very friendly staff. Booked through Priceline and had some issues upon checkin. Priceline stated king bed, but it was a queen with a up charge for king. We paid for the upgrade, but was later comped due to an electrical problem in the room. Also had an unexpected parking charge. Overall it was a good experience for the one night.
Decent option close to Vancouver airport.. good food options onsite
Nice hotel, comfortable beds. Decent fitness room on the 11th floor. Outdoor pool, that was closed seasonally in September. Free guest WiFi was quite fast.
Close to the richmond night market, st. Monica church, aberdeen, yaohan. It was the optimal place to stay in. It was within a 10 minute drive to all of the places i visited. The service was really nice and quick.
Not worth the money spent, but good service Great late night service at The Deck Restaurant however.
We had a delayed flight and stayed at this hotel for a night/day. The staff are so incredibly friendly and go well above and beyond when it comes to customer service. We did not pack coats and they gave us warm sweaters to use when we went downtown for the morning. So lovely!
Beautiful views, prime location for airport and shopping outlets. Everything was very clean and nice. Comfortable bed and pillow. Would stay again.
Travel consistently and this hotel may be worse then most 2 star hotels.
Rooms are comfortable and this hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. In my opinion breakfast is overpriced but the new Deck restaurant is quite nice. My biggest complaint is with the management who don t allow the front desk staff the authority to do anything other than say hello and ask for a credit card. I ll forego specific examples, of which i have a few during the course of multiple visits, for i feel that the front desk staff would suffer negative consequences. Empowering your front desk staff and eliminating ridiculous hotel policies will earn the Pacific Gateway Hotel 5 star reviews from me in the future.
Nice hotel. Needs a few updated here and there but all around a good experience. It was raining during my stay but the view was still great!
Great hotel close to the airport. Nice river views with clean and spacious rooms. I like the day stay option. It's 10 min walk to outlet mall. Love the free shuttle to/from the airport every 20 min.
There is an airport shuttle bus, the room is not very soundproof.
The hotel it self is pleasant although it feels a bit dated in areas. Pier 73 the hotel restaurant was great. The staff where notnparticularily helpful and where quite short with while checking in which left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth for the entire stay
Nice place in Vancouver, British Columbia to stay at.
Rooms are decent. Exterior building looks old. Nice pub on site
Fairly close to the airport, pretty standard hotel. The hotel restaurant is kinda pricey and other restaurants are just outside of what I'd consider "walking distance (but the Flying Beaver is worth the hike/taxi!).
Clean rooms. Microwave on second floor. Freezer if you ask at front desk. Great outdoor pool that is actually deep. Also big size chess board
Attended a conference here. Decent venue overall, some of the conference rooms could use a style update, and the food could have some more nutritious options.
Professional class hotel with great staff. Rooms have comfortable beds close to the airport. Check in booths for flights on the main floor make it convienent for departures. Bar and restaurant attached t9 the building aswell.
Room is ok , clean and comfy , dinner at the Deck Kitchen was super with great entertainment and many thanks to Yvonne for waiting our table
Flight was cancelled and Air Canada put me up here for the night. Very nice hotel. Comfortable bed.
Lovely room. Everything you need. Great customer service at the front desk. Had a really lovely stay.
The 6:10 AM shuttle bus to the South Terminal was full, and the staff seemed a little confused. They first told us that 6:10 was the earliest bus and that they would put us in a taxi and post the fare for us. A short time later, they told us they couldn't do that, and that they would put us on a 5:50 bus.
Also, they told us the wrong room number at check-in, we found out when our keys didn't work.
View of the river from our room was pretty good to my taste.
Overall, I would consider going again.
Service was very good as was the food. We were a group of ten and I didn't hear any negative comments at all. Rather varied beer selection and not just the usual offerings.
My only gripe was that it was a chilly rainy February day, and with all those windows it was a bit cool inside.
I would return again though without hesitation.
The cost was around $50 from tsawwassen ferry terminal to hotel if you want to take a taxi at night. It doesn't have a convenience store near the hotel. So you have to get before go to hotel if you need something.
We needed a milk for my daughter and we bought it. We paid $12 for 2 cups of medium size coffee cup. It was not bad because we get it. The milk was important for us.
Thank you for great service to my daughter.
Comfortable overnight stay after arriving late in Vancouver. Good value
Nice hotel near the airport and the water with amazing views. Hotel has two Tesla High Power Wall connectors available for free use you just have to pay for parking. Hotel price is high but not as high as other hotels in the area of this quality.
Many hotels to choose from on a long weekend but this one is lovely, clean, secure!
It is perfect and the staff are polite and attentive.
Stopped at PGH overnight to take the cruise. Very comfortable and view great from our room. Service was excellent.
Hotel near the Int. Vancouver airport.
Shuttle service to and from the airport every 20 minutes.
There is a coffee shop and a restaurant overlooking the Fiber River.
Rooms are ok, mattresses not too soft.
All in all ok for one night.
Great staff, extremely clean rooms, and fantastic location. Pro tip, buy your rail pass there, its half the price and is for a full day!
Asked for a quiet room at check-in, should have stayed at the National Convention of Loud Idiots. Asked to be moved to a quiet room again and had to pay upgrade fee. Our group decided to go to offsite restaurant for meals as attached restaurant food is poor. Lobby restaurant wants $20 per person for hours old food on breakfast buffet. Service staff very nice. Rooms exceptionally clean.
First of all the service was great. I found the room we had to be a little dated for what I expected of the reputation and online rating of the hotel. We had a single queen bed room and it suited our needs, but comparing it to others, I expected it'd be a bit nicer inside.
Great room and rate. Airport shuttle is convenient. Concierge was the most helpful I've ever had with clear directions to use public transit and help planning to get to airport!
Great hotel. I stay here a lot for work. Good food, breakfasts, and coffee bar. Nice rooms. The big issue is that it's hard to get to the train from here. Best thing to do is to get a day pass in the hotel and then walk to the bus stop, take the bus to the train.
Rooms are clean and very comfortable, and shuttle service very convenient
Good sized room, modern bathroom, clean, great pillows. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Bed sagged in the middle though. Staff were really accommodating and checked us all in at about 3am when our flight was cancelled and we needed last minute accommodation.
The room was very nice and the staff was amazing! I was greeted with a smile from every staff member I saw and they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and more.
Every time I've stayed here , it's been a excellent experience.
Clean comfortable room's, and the restaurant is always a good dining choice.
Great location for a conference and convenient location near the airport. Free shuttle to link you to and from the airport, which has great transit options around it to surrounding communities. Food is well prepared and the rooms are comfortable.
Rumour has it the top floor was gutted and turned into a nightclub at 1/4 scale for the dwarf and midget communities that travel to Vancouver to participate in the Christmas film industry. I've never been able to gain access to prove it, but when I questioned the bellboy he gave me a wink and a sly grin. He knew something but he must've thought I was too much of a square to be made hip to it. I stiffed him on the tip and spent the rest of my stay cruising craiglist for new friends. None were under 5 foot.
Garbage hotel. Not sure why Hotwire gives it 4 stars it's garbage. They charge their guests to park per day it's ridiculous.
Was at the hotel for a wedding. Great venue and good food!
This is my 3rd Time. Best Hotel near Vancouver for best price
Comfortable room, clean, excellent facilities, warm service, in order highly recommended.
The wifi never works. The staff is rude and unaccommodating.
TV and fridge didn't work. No power on that side of the room.
It was freezing cold when I was there and looking to warm up. They don't have a hot tub unfortunately. I went to The Deck to eat and you have to go outside to get there. The room was ok but the tub did not make me want to have a bath in it. Also, the room was quite noisy and I could hear lots of noise from the hallway.
Well worth the money. Nice clean room. Friendly, curtious staff. Helpful. Easy drive to Downtown Vancouver. Shuttles provided to many locations if driving is a problem. Close to many trendy food locals. Slightly dated in some areas but easily overlooked for the comfort of stay. Recommend this hotel and would stay again.
I have really enjoyed my stay here clean room great food. I had a great view in my room on the 8th floor. I would come back again
Clean, and comfortable. The location is a bit awkward to get to.
Beautiful hotel and easy to get to! Close to the airport.
Nice staff, very close to YVR airport and clean rooms
Great place good food clean rooms and close to yvr for early flights
If you like dated, overpriced, and cramped rooms. Then this is your place!
No mini fridge (for a 4 star hotel?) and pool was closed on July 2016
Fitness room had exceptional views and the room was VERY clean
Overpriced for what it is
