Pacific Gateway Hotel at Vancouver Airport Review

The staff are incredible. From the front door to the service desk to the cleaning staff...they seem to have uncovered great people. I stay here when in town for that reason alone.

Everyone was super welcoming. They gave us advise on places to go, things to see and where to get things cheaper. Hotel rooms are nice and they supply most things tou need. No lock box

While booking we paid for 48 hours( for full 2 nights) and while checkin receptionist told us nothing about checkout and according to normal hotels we thought we have to checkout at 11pm but when we tried to enter our room my room key didn t worked. I made a call to reception and they said we got checkout around 11am . I was like what the hack is that and to get our luggage we have to pay 80$ more.. To be honest it was my worst hotel stay in my life.
We asked everything in detail while checkin and that was hotel reception service to convey us anout there policy.Even hotel haven t mentioned anything about it.

Nice clean rooms close to the airport. Shuttles every 20min to the terminal. Onsite restaurant is okay, nothing to get excited about and a bit pricey.

I stayed in the hotel just few hours to take a connection flight to Kelowna, but it were outstanding! Very cozy room, silent and with a shuttle to the airport.

This was an amazing hotel. I highly recommend to stay here if you have a connection. It is about 5 minutes from airport and 15 minutes ride in taxi to downtown Vancouver. The hotel rooms are large and very clean. The bed is large and comfy and location was so good.

We often stay here when we are flying out of Vancouver. It's very reasonably priced, spacious, has a free shuttle that runs to the airport every 20 minutes, and has a quite decent restaurant and craft beer at the bar on top.

My wife also uses this hotel for conferences for her business and has found the staff to be very helpful and the facilities to be very good.

It is clean, spacious and the beds like in the clouds, rest very well!

Very limited vegetarian options on the menu. Nothing in the restaurant and only a (good) snack in the pub.

Pay parking in the hotel parking lot was a turn off. Location of the restaurant was nice but we weren't feeling the vibe. Ended up driving into the city for dinner. Concierge was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located near the Richmond Airport. There is a free shuttle that goes to the airport every 10-20 minutes. At the airport there are rental cars and a train (Skytrain) to downtown Vancouver (Attention: Buy a ticket for the train at the hotel! At the airport there is an airport surcharge of 5 dollars.)
The hotel is very clean and the service is great. The rooms are adequately furnished and there is an area of water and a small chocolate every evening. The pool is clean and suitable for swimming. The associated restaurant Pier73 is very recommendable (see separate review).
There is a gift shop (you can buy tickets for the Skytrain here) and a kiosk where you can buy fruit, water and sandwiches (and more). We stayed here for a week and it was the right location for our BC trips. Gladly again.

We were picked up promptly from the airport and arrived earlier than check in, however they let us check in early and accommodated us to a free upgrade. The room was very comfortable, exceptionally clean and quiet! It was very modern and I would even consider staying there if I had more business in Vancouver!

The worst front desk service ever! No respect at all. I am highly disappointed.

Good hotel with clean and bright rooms and a spectacular view of the airstrips of the airport. The free airport shuttle service is a blessing and there is even a van to the nearest shopping center.

Wished it had complimentary breakfast, otherwise decent, liked the shuttle bus service

Went here for a conference. Venue was large and clean. Nothing to complain about.

I have stayed at this hotel twice on both occasions the staff at reception were rude we seemed to be an annoyance to their precious time they didn't listen to what we had to say and then whinged to each other about us. The hotel itself was clean but the air con was so noisy we had to turn it off also the beds were too small a double at best.

The rooms were nice enough & the concierge gentleman was exceptional. However, front desk staff were extremely rude - both upon check in & when my take out order was delivered. The airport shuttle does not go to the South Terminal which is inconvenient.

Great location near the airport, with clean rooms and a friendly staff. The pier restaurant is closed until next month but there is a lobby quick stop for food. Beds are comfy and the bathroom is nicely equiped.

I stay at this hotel often, and its one of my favourite to stay at while I'm on business trips, here in Vancouver. Staff are very polite and always helpful. Rooms are spotless and I love the linen they use on their beds.

LOVE the new Deck Kitchen & Bar! Great food, amazing location & a very cool vibe. Even on a rainy October night it was cozy & warm!

Nothing much. Just another hotel near the airport to spend the night and continue traveling. The price is high for the type of service offered.

The food was good service was good all-around generally nice place

Rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly and attentive. Bartender was amazing, food and drinks were out in a timely manner and tasted great. Would give 5 stars but the washroom in our room smelled terrible, like urine dried everywhere or something, was really disgusted by it.

I got it as a complimentary stay over. Free shuttle service was good and room was very nice and clean. Wish I could have stayed for breakfast or Dinner.

Our destination before and after Every Mexico trip Highly recommend especially if you live a far ways from Richmond and you have early morning flights .

Perfect in all aspects, the rooms, the services, the location is a kind of far but it has transportation to the famous places.

Nice hotel. However parking was an issue. Very narrow stalls. Guaranteed to get your car dinged.

Far too much noise from traffic and airplane!! Needs FAR BETTER soundproofing...and needs the return of the teppanyaki restaurant!!

This is our 2nd time saying over night at the Pacific and we could be happier. We had a slight hiccup with our room and they took care of it for us asap even though they were booked for the weekend. Would recommend staying here everytime.

Hotel with decent facilities with easy access to airport via shuttle bus. Difficult to get anywhere else without a car or long walk via busy roads.

I had a good business travel multi-day stay. Nice hotel with very dedicated staff.

The concierge explained to me everything about the shuttles and how to travel more efficiently and for less $.

Awesome restaurant and great service and fine rooms

2nd visit food quality still sub par. 1. Short rib with mashed potato and Yorkshire pudding- the beef rib is dry and tasteless; mashed potato ok; Yorkshire pudding is cold and somewhat crispy as it was left in the air for sooo long and it tasted rancid! 2. Chicken with cashew.. well to cut it short just like the scooped food from the Public Market. During dinner I was looking for some steak and soup but could not see from the menu so I asked the server and she said sorry the restaurant don't provide soup nor steak! BTW I had this dinner at Pier 73. Will never go back again!

This place is pretty good the only setback being that based on the easthetics of the lobby the room itself didn't meet my expectations fully. Nonetheless it is nice overall. It's a cozy size with amenities that aren't dodgy looking and the chairs are leather which is a definite plus because cloth chairs are basically breeding grounds for bacteria that seep into it for years (leather is too but on a much smaller scale and plus it appears more clean and welcoming). I'd definitely recommend this hotel whether it be for one or more nights.

Lovely gorgeous water front patio, great food and good choices of drink. Price is reasonable. It is the must go restaurant in Richmond.

I stayed here for 1 night and at 1:30AM there was noise came from the wall like someone knocking my wall, it come and go.
I can t believe the hotel sell a room that was maybe haunted, and when the manager came she was also heard the noise. Finally at 2:30am she moved me to a different room and yes I couldn t sleep the whole night it ruined my night and the next day.
If you like noise and haunted room please go to this hotel, but if not don t ever stay there.
I tried to ask some credit to the morning manager after ruining my night and she won t give me anything but breakfast.
I will NEVER stay here in the future!

Come here to the party, a area to be cleaned is guided to another rest area, and I am also free to send free coffee to me. Too sweet.

Hotel is very conveniently located near the airport in Vancouver. Started there on a layover back from Japan. Check-in was very quick and the cost/value of the room was good. The free shuttle to and from the airport was great

This hotel was great! The airport shuttle was nice and there reception staff are lovely and very helpful! There convenience store sells Compass Day passes/Tickets for Tourists and people who are wanting to take public transit. The elevator is great because you need a guest card to access the elevator and other levels of the hotel so that's a great security feature. The rooms were amazing and were clean and the beds were soft and comfy. Really enjoyed this place and next time I come to Vancouver, I probably would come back here!

The exterior looks not so great but the interior is quite nice.

Friendly staff and service, but some of the furniture is not clean. $19 per day to park as well.
