The customer service was terrible! I got a 2070 super and it was faulty. Sent it back to be replaced to get an email to say its been refunded. Without supplying me any reason or any alternatives. I asked why its been refunded and they tell me they have no others in stock and wont get any back in (i had to ask to get that info) I then tried to talk to someone about getting my deposit back and have been ignored since! Avoid at all costs! There are better places to get pc components. I fully regret getting anything from here

Overclockers are incapable and run their business awfully. They take your money, lie to you about your order, and post pictures of their Ferrari's on their forum in the meantime. Absolutely terrible. Purchase anywhere else.

Used to be good. Will let you know if my order ever arrives; have been assured of two delivery dates to no avail. Had to call them three times and also used their "web notes". So bad comms and the wrong stock info on their site in the first place.

Ordered some new components for my PC recently from Overclockers. Unfortunately there was a slight issue with one of the items which wasn't the fault of Overclockers. I contacted them, received a prompt reply and the issue was dealt with quickly and conveniently. They even refunded my return postage for the faulty item! Big thanks to Bailey at OCUK.

Poor experience initially but after a follow up call from overclockers things have been smoothed over. I would recommend if you have issues to call them directly rather than do it by email as it is far easier to discus with them.

Made an order Thursday Item in stock, paid for next day delivery - checked website Friday - still not dispatched??? Rang in, basically got told would ask warehouse, fat lot of good that is if the item hasn't even been dispatched. Asked if anything could be done - nope, not while working from home apparently..... but would ask warehouse??? So don't get completely wrapped in and pay extra just because of the positive reviews on here!

Edited for late 2020, They don't answer phones, can't fulfill orders in a timely manner, I can no longer recommend ocuk. Seems to have gone the way of scan. Never any delay in taking your money though. I'm not sure if the UK actually has a decent PC shop any more. Too be fair I'm going to drop it from 5 stars to 3. Not sure 1 star is fair, I may try them after Xmas and reassess.

Impossible to contact, can never reach them by phone, I have called at least 10 times and waited 40+ minutes listening to their annoying automated recording on a loop. They don't provide a contact email address, I submitted a webnote but still haven't received anything back. I ordered almost 2 weeks ago with next day delivery and have heard nothing. Won't be using overclockers again, I know times are difficult right now but other companies seem to be managing with delays of only 2-3 days.

Bought my first PC from these guys in 2014, came back 6 years later because they did such a good job, and they've done it again.

After placing my order I had about 13 different questions and changes to make and they were always so friendly and so helpful.

Thanks for everything, see you in another 10 years or so.

So after a bit of talking with overclockers due to some complications with my order and sorting my PC out I have to say James Bailey was very helpful and a nice dude..... got my delivery refunded and some free goodies which was kind of them. There products are great and it is nice to see that they do care about their customers. Thank you guys :)

The machine they have built for me is totally amazing and runs beautifully. Handles all of my heavy 3D modelling and rendering programs like they were nothing which makes my work so much faster and easier! All of this with excellent customer service, a great price point and 3 year warranty. My sincere thanks to the Overclockers team.

I have searched for a mac version of a keyboard on the website. As I got some results back, I assumed they were showing keyboards for mac.

After returning the keyboard and contact customer support about how to get the postage costs refunded, they told that it wouldn't be possible.

Buyer Beware. Stock dates and ETAs appear random and are often unfulfilled.

I made an order for a new monitor 3 weeks ago. Since then the date of stock has been pushed back 3 times. Trying to get through to the store is impossible. Yesterday I sat on hold for over 2 hours . No answer. No automatic email response keeping me up 2 date on my order, nothing.

I could have gone into town and bought the monitor on the day 3 weeks ago. Due to corona I cannot leave my house so chose Overlockers. Now the item doesn't even show an ETA.

Maybe I am being cynical but I am left wondering if stock dates are manufactured to secure sales over the black Friday weekend.

Overclockers is not some tiny corner store, we should expect better from them.

EDIT: After reading through many other reviews it appears this practice is commonplace. Countless people complaining that the website does not show stock accurately.

Of course I can't be sure Overclockers does this on purpose. Maybe one of the biggest tech resellers in the UK just doesn't understand how websites work or maybe their business practice is shady and unreliable. What do you think?

Gone seriously downhill.....
I used to love overclockers, competitive prices and fast delivery; what happened?

My latest order was cancelled by me after 8 days and no dispatch. They then decided to send it anyway and are now expecting me to wait a week for a refund on goods they've sent out in error! The previous one took a month to dispatch!

Understandably, I've asked them to close my account. No apologies, and no clue what they're doing....

Ok so not only do they offer a forum for any issue...

Ok so not only do they offer a forum for any issues you my encounter, but the staff frequent it, as do vendor reps. This means you can get quite a bit of input on things even before you have even bought from their site.

I have bought many items from OcUK over the years, and all my transactions have been swift and painless. They offer free DPD postage if you become an active member of the forum community too. The few times I have encountered any questions/issues with an order their response has been fast and helpful. Even on refunds.

It helps that the guys seem to care about what they do, and use the products they sell, not just middle men making a quick profit and passing the buck when something goes wrong. I have had a few pre-built systems from them, as well as countless parts & systems I have put together myself. The great thing about their systems btw is they put together well priced & decent specifications without the added premium of other brands. You basically pay for what you get, good quality stuff with no huge mark-up. Plus their own RTB warranty lasts 2 years! I have recommend family members to buy systems from them in the past because I know they will be trouble free, and not arrive pre-installed with bloat-ware.

All in all, they are at the top of my go-to list for anything I need PC wise. They tend to have quite some good daily deals too!

10/10 - Would overclock again :)

I am a customer for life.

I am a customer for life.

I have spent thousands with Overclockers over the years, during which I have had only two minor problems, importantly neither of which were caused by Overclockers directly.

My first issue was when the courier broke a new case I had ordered, which is completely the couriers problem to deal with and pay for but nope, Overclockers stepped up and sorted out a replacement without hesitation.

Second issue was when 1 of the 6 fans I ordered randomly stopped working a few months after I bought it, so, I phoned Overclockers for some guidance on how to get in touch with the manufacturers and - by their own grace - Overclockers took responsibility for replacing the fan, so after only 8 minutes on the phone, a new fan turned up at my door roughly 40 hours later. Please remember, I have ordered A LOT with Overclockers over the years and no problems have occured directly from them, the vast majority of the time there are zero problems.

The whole point I'm writing this is to highlight how quick they are to step up to help you on the small chance you have a problem, even when they are not at all inclined to do so.

Shop with confidence.

I had a choice between pre ordering a new GPU whic...

I had a choice between pre ordering a new GPU which is in short supply from Overclockers UK or a second hand 2080ti which is easily available. I decided to take the risk of pre ordering the new GPU, and accepted there will be difficulties due to their servers crashing. So whilst it wasn't great that I didn't receive any indication my purchase went through, not until 2 days later when I saw the transaction on my bank account, I can just about look past that issue.
My problem is that I have no idea where I am in the queue for getting the new GPU. Of course it's difficult to give an ETA for when mine will be delivered. But 'I' could infer some idea of when it will arrive by looking at where I am in a queue tracker on a day to day basis.
Ex: if I'm in position 1000 on day 1 and position 900 on day 3, 'I' can assume the queue moves roughly at 33 a day. Thus, 'I' can infer my order will take about 27 more days to arrive.
This is not challenging for them to implement. So I can only assume the don't want to make a queue tracker because they know people at the back of the queue will want to refund their money and look at other options.

Conclusion: Overclockers is providing a bad service that keeps customers in the dark. By not providing a queue tracker, their customers can't correctly decide on weather or not to preorder with them. This is at best due to oversite, or more likely a anti-consumer decision to maximize profits as people are more likey yo join a queue of unknown length than a long queue. Furthermore, customers are less likely to leave a queue they've been in for a while if it's of unknown length as they will assume they are close to being at the front.

A company that can be a pleasure dealing with, if you go to the right people.
The customer support webnotes are all shambles, replying with copy and paste answers, not helping at all.

However, when I took to the forums, I was talked through every way I could be helped, with multiple free collections and deliveries, ending with me receiving a brand new monitor with an extra years warranty.

tldr: Ignore the webnotes, go straight to the forums and speak to Bailey or other forum staff.

Worst customer experience of my life! I ordered a ...

Worst customer experience of my life! I ordered a monitor on Black Friday which showed as in stock (6 items remaining in fact according to the website at the time) and awaited my order. I noticed that nothing had been dispatched by Monday afternoon (selected next day delivery) so I queried this with OCUK and got told the item was not in stock. I then messaged them again to review this as when I ordered the item was in fact in stock (why would anyone buy a product not in stock on Black Friday?). After numerous messages back and forth they finally acknowledged that the monitors in fact had sold out on the Thursday!

I am in a situation now that I have missed out on all Black Friday monitor deals due to this and in all honesty wasted my time not to mention that they have already taken money out for a non existent order and waiting for a refund! I have never been treated this badly as a customer

In short if anything does go wrong with your order rest assured you will need to chase and have a lot of correspondences which will eventually get nowhere and they will take your money regardless of whether your item is in stock or not!

Excellent customer service, especially after I came to them with problems about a PC I'd bought from them. They offered me a full refund and everything was handled professionally and smoothly. Cable management on custom PCs is incredible as well, it's almost impossible to find a fault with these guys.
I've bought 3 PCs from Overclockers, my first one being several years old now, and simply outdated. It still works, it's just old.
The second PC I'd ordered was having problems from day one (a loud buzzing noise accompanied by other sounds, CPU usage going literally off the charts etc. I suspect it was an issue in transit as the box it arrived in was slightly bent and some of the noises sounded like vibrations), getting progressively worse yet the company handled it extremely well and were incredibly accomodating, giving me a full refund without an issue. The guy I spoke to was really nice and honestly just from their customer support I'd recommend them.
I recently received my third PC (to replace the faulty 2nd one) and it's been working flawlessly, and I know if I have any problems that they'll be able to handle it.
My only issue is the courier service they use, as DPD aren't the best (they missed my house when delivering the 2nd PC, and the box was bent). However that's no mark against Overclockers, simply an annoyance with DPD. I'd happily recommend Overclockers to anyone, they're honestly great.

Staff really supportive got what I needed even got some sweets in my package free gifts always get me lol. amazing range and selection of GPUs now shop here instead of where I use to buy due to the fact of cost and range of GPUs have in stock and also the discounts and offers have on them. Over the past few months I have placed multiple orders on Overclockers UK. I have ordered every single part of my computer build from them and each time the quality of the goods and the sturdiness of the packaging has been outstanding. Delivery time is usually no more than 2 days (I live in Newcastle). Fantastic quality and decent pricing, I will definitely be using them if I need more parts. They even throw a bag of sweets in the box which is cute.

Nothing has been faulty or went wrong with me, however I have noticed a man called James Bailey that seems to have resolved most of the issues people have with RMA's in their reviews, so if you have a problem with faulty products i'd recommend asking for him as he seems like the type to go above and beyond.

Before I actually started buying things from OCUK,...

Before I actually started buying things from OCUK, I was a long time lurker, looking at build logs, deals/specials etc.. Along with peoples stories when building their system.

Since building my first system last year, I have bought many parts from OCUK, and not once has their service failed me.

Recently I sent off both my GPU's for RMa as the kept crashing, OCUK tested them as faulty, and then where sent off to Gigabyte in no time. However, Gigabyte took a lot of time to process (Not even sure if they are processed to date) However, OCUK have sent me out TWO brand new units as the 28th day had passed.

I spoke to OCUK member Bailey, who has been a huge help throughout, offering me advice where required.

OCUK is the best, and I could recommend them to anybody who is looking for computers parts!

Russell664.

I have bought Arctic Liquid Freezer II High Perfor...

I have bought Arctic Liquid Freezer II High Performance CPU Water Cooler - 240mm from Overclockers website. After a few weeks of regular use, cooler pump made a horrible grinding noise and broke down almost melting my CPU. I have contacted Overclockers RMA Customer Support Service. As this item is classed as DOA (broke down in less than 30 days from purchase), I have requested a full refund (as I did not want to wait for replacement, that would likely fail again - and risk melting my CPU). I have dealt with other PC retailers and faulty item returns before, but what I have experienced with Overclockers - is beyond awful. First of all their Customer Support RMA team is completely clueless. They have no guidelines in place on what to do if a customer wants to have a faulty item returned. It took me multiple emails to explain that my item is faulty and I would like Overclockers to arrange a pick up from my home. Their returns website section - is very vague and does not state all the rules, hence misleading their clients. Dealing with their customer support - I felt like I am the one trying to arrange a pick up and telling them what they should be doing. I was under impression that their Customer Support just does not care to explain clearly the process of returning the faulty item.

Also I have not been warned that I will NOT get my delivery costs refunded in full. Maybe it would have been helpful to inform me of this when I was opening an RMA ticket (so I clearly know what my options are). Why am I only learning about this after the item has already been returned and partial postage refund made? On your website - it does not clearly state that this will be the case. In comparison - I just had another RMA done with SCAN company, and they have refunded me in FULL (full postage + item cost) and have arranged for a faulty item to be collected from my home with only a few emails and no hassle. I understand now, that the service you provide might not be on the same level as your competitors. But why have you not clearly stated about this during my conversation (via emails) with your support team? Maybe if I would have been aware of this - I would have sent the item to you with a cheaper provider myself or driven to your Overclockers office and handed the faulty item to you in person?

Overall - upsetting and poor experience due to failure to communicate with their customers properly. Will stay away from doing business with Overclockers. There are a lot better retailers with far more competent customer support.

Ordered a new monitor to improve the home-office during Covid. Despite all the challenges of operating during the pandemic, communication was great, the item was dispatched quickly and delivery was swift and on-time. Pricing was competitive, glad to shop with a UK company instead of throwing more money at Amazon and happy to pay a very minor premium for this given the great customer experience. Will definitely use again.

Is this because I am a woman & have a foreign surname? Why am I being treated this way? Overclockers = kingdom of sexism! :( TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! I have ordered Dell UltraSharp UP3216Q 31.5" 3840x2160 IPS Widescreen LED 4K Monitor on the 14th of March 2018 - it's now the 10th of May and it still HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED. I was happy to wait, but they DO NOT BOTHER to keep me up to date with the progress as there is NONE. I am the only person who calls them, emails but no one bothers to follow up. No one is responsible. No one cares. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. ZERO effort from their side to even reply to my emails. Been promised that someone will get back to me - nope, nothing happened. When I bought this monitor it did say on the website that it's out of stock but I called them the day after to check how long would it take to get it delivered and been told that it normally takes up to 3/4 weeks. It's now nearly 2 MONTHS - I was calling and trying to check what's going on. They told me that manufacturer is out of stock so I called UK Dell and been told that they have PLENTY in stock. SOMEONE IS LYING HERE. What a disaster :( Well... I definitely want that monitor - waited for it too long now! My first order and first impression of Overclockers? Believe me, couldn't be worse :(

With no information about extended shipping times ...

With no information about extended shipping times on the website until you get to the "Contact Us" section, I was led to believe that because the item I purchased was in stock and the fact that I had no option but to pay a ridiculous amount for a Premium Shipping service, I would have been receiving a better service from a company like Overclockers, I was wrong.
I understand that times are difficult at the moment, we're in the midst of a pandemic which no one was prepared for, but it's been almost 10 months since the beginning of the first lockdown, a company with the kind of dedicated following the Overclockers has should be communicating issues better than they have been. A bit more clarity on the website(without digging for it), or even communication in an email once the order had been placed would have gone a long way.
As a first time customer, I am incredibly disappointed and regrettably I won't be purchasing from Overclockers company again.

If you are going to do Black Friday and Cyber Monday, please be prepared for it. As a business it is not acceptable to use the volume of orders as an excuse.

Imagine ordering for something in stock, paying for next day delivery and not getting a dispatch date for 3 days and counting.

In the past few years I ordered 2 custom built PC systems with Overclockers UK and was always satisfied with the products and service that I received. I spent a lot of money with the company. However, the current purchase would be my last.

The customer service is inexistent, after 3 hours on the phone and 5 separate calls, I am yet to receive a response. Don t waste your time on writing webnotes they will not respond to them in a timely manner. Other people in the reviews who got an answer after only 1 hour on the phone are the lucky ones.

Update: Spent 2 more hours on hold and still no response, had to end the call since my work started. The funny thing is that the same product is still in stock and has an ETA of 1-3 days on their website. Can t stop blaming myself for ordering from this website and not from one of their competitors!

I placed 2 orders at the Ryzen 5000 launch, one for my processor and another that I had made earlier in the day for the rest of the build. Cancelled my 3080 order with OCUK yesterday after ...

Cancelled my 3080 order with OCUK yesterday after ordering launch day and being first in the queue for my model of card I didn't get a single update on when I would expect it to be with me.

While I completely understand OCUK are not a GPU manufacturer and they can only obtain the stock that is available and of course are at the mercy ultimately of Nvidia botching this launch.

What I can't understand is the severe lack of communication I was able to purchase an FE yesterday from OCUK's biggest competitor and Nvidia's new favourite it would seem, the competitor has a very good landing page for all 3080/3090 info with detailed daily info and a table showing when they are expecting stock for each model to come in.

In contrast OCUK have been virtually radio silent or couldn't heard customers questions over the exhaust note of a Ferrari, they have finally started updating the thread on the forum regarding the stock situation but why this wasn't the case from day one I'll never know.

I take no issue with them continuing to take pre-orders even though they most likely won't be fulfilled until 2021 as this gives people a chance to get in the queue and won't have to mash F5, I do however think every 3070/3080/3090 page should get a disclaimer about the wait and a link to the stock update thread.

I see a lot of people placing a pre-order with OCUK and thinking they will have a card in a few weeks I think this needs to be better communicated at the time of pre-order.

I won't be a returning customer to OCUK anytime soon due to the way they've handled this launch less so on the stock side as we know Nvidia has royally botched it, but OCUK need to provide better communication to customers on future launches for me to consider spending money with them again in the future and I'm sure this is the case for quite a few other people.

They claim their stock checker can't keep up with orders meaning they have a habit of overselling products even when the site says in stock. Having recently shopped with other retailers they don't seem to have this same problem. This resulted in waiting on a lengthy refund and other purchasing opportunities slipping through my fingers.

They also hiked up their prices on high demand items and are taking people's money up front when they can't deliver on the pre-orders their offering for 3080 cards. I've worked for companies that act like this in the past and these are tell tale signs that things behind the scenes probably aren't very good.

I don't recommend shopping here for anything that's in high demand as it's a gamble as to whether you're going to get what you ordered.

Having used Overclockers before they were bought out, I had high hopes but am left sorely disappointed. Spent a lot of money on a PC for business purposes. Performance was initially decent but then PC started acting faulty with computer shutting down randomly 1-2 times a day. Within warranty, OCUK have offered no call out service and no attempt or ability to help diagnose the issue over the phone. Their preferred option was to collect the computer, diagnose it, and return it 7 days later which is not feasible when you depend on a machine. I've now got to carve out a week when I won't be able to work at usual capacity.

Sadly, it seems that if you want a computer that's good enough to rely on, there's no point buying here as you can't rely on it being present and correct. I fear their reputation is a legacy of earlier years and I can't recommend Overclockers - or OCUK as they're now known - for this reason.

Overclockers is, without a doubt, my go to source for PC parts and peripherals. Their prices are competitive with online stores (especially when considering postage costs and the time it takes to wait for delivery) and always have good stock levels. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and their expertise shines through.

My only complaint is, that at times, the shop can get very busy and so waiting times can sometimes be a little excessive.

Very highly recommended.

Is this company insolvent? It is impossible to reach by telephone and offers no email or web-based communication channels. Paid premium for fast delivery but the order remains undespatched. Don't waste your time or sanity with this crowd.

Tad dissapointed that considering how long overclockers appear to have been in operation online they don't have some for of stock control/inventory on their front-end. Taking money from their customers for items they clearly don't have instock and blatantly no idea of when will be instock is shocking abuse of customer trust.

I have made a complaint to Amazon Pay.

Oh and yes, they accept Amazon Pay but clearly not heard of AWS - clearly a tinpot IT department...

Have ordered from these guys a couple of times now with no issues. Most recent order was delayed with DPD and, having contacted Overclockers.co.uk a number of time, I will continue to use them. Their customer service is second to none and the guy I was dealing with over the phone couldn't be more helpful. Would certainly recommend them to anyone

Good selection of stock and great fast service. The staff are always polite, and there is plenty of parking. Not the cheapest of places, but the prices are reasonable and it's worth it for the convenience of not having to wait several days for shipping if you're buying directly from the warehouse.
