Good restaurant for a work lunch , but not much else

Sad atmosphere and sad food. The nice waiter was running all alone in the restaurant trying to so his job. Maybe beyond COVID this could be a good place to dine.

Great service, BYOB. Steak was good but not the best I've had.

Always a classic bring your own wine. The quality of the meat is excellent. The one in St-Urbain is one step ahead of the others.

Home deletaire, disrespectful manager, food of average quality not corresponding to the price.

Food is tasty, but a little pricey for the quantity served

It's not the best steak in old Montreal but good enough for BYOW, unlimited fries (fries lovers heaven) and moderate price.

Casual to date night atmosphere. It was not busy when we went around 9pm in September and there was no wait to be seated. The waitress did a great job of keeping our water glasses filled and checking in with us. Our food orders did not take long. I ordered the lamb shank with fries and my wife ordered the filet mignon. Both dishes were good.
Expect to pay around $50 a person for an appetizer and main course.
We recommend this place for a nice dinner date or nice group dinner.

Not much liked, it looked more like a cafeteria, it did not have a warm atmosphere, however the service was good.

Pocket services! Frozen vegetables failed cooking steaks. Very good bang bang shrimp on the other hand!

The appetizers were great. The fries were amazing. The steak was too fatty and tough. I ordered a sirloin but the cut wasn't good. Ambiance was strange. I couldn't hear any music and the acoustics were bad.

My own personal experience was garbage... I had alot of hair in my food I asked to have it looked over and the chef refused and said I was being rude..

The food is exquisite. To better appreciate it, it is better not to go in large groups because the room reserved for groups is very noisy.

Friendly service, but the steak was average and the fries dry and over cooked. I was told they don't serve alcohol, so I only had water. Price excessive for the quality.

I will give 0 star if I had the choice. I had a party with my team yesterday and we had a reservation at 9pm. We had an excercible service, our waiter clearly did not want to be there, we waited 1 hour for our dishes and NO ONE came to see us to tell us that it would be longer. We knew it because the follower warned us when he was serving other people at the table. The colleague of the waiter promises us a credit to later deny me in front of everyone to tell me that she never said that. I will never stay at this property again and definitely do not recommend it. I invite the managers of this restaurant to review their operation which is clearly deficient.

First off, It's not licensed, so being your own drinks if you want a wine or alcohol pairing with your meal, but that takes ZERO away from this fine establishment. Great Service, the steak was cooked perfectly and not over seasoned. The Fries are incredible. The only thing I would deduct points for is the chairs are slightly uncomfortable, but everything else outweighed that.

The food was good but nothing really special. The service was good but slow. I would come back again to give it another try.

Perhaps one of the worst restaurants I have been to in Montreal. And I went a few times too.

Attended a birthday we were about 10 people. Service was good and helpful. Menu prices are pretty standard to other steak houses in the old port. An average of 30$ a dish. Food quality was very poor, looked pre-prepared or cooked from frozen. Not the freshest and definitely not warmest which was a bit disappointing give the price. Main dish was blend lacking some seasoning, it was well cooked based on my preference. All you can eat fries but you need to ask, they wouldn't offer... It is a byow, which is very rare for down town restaurants and a perk. Street parking only.

Classic steak fries. Good choice of cuts. You can bring your own wine. Very frequented.

The steak was filled with nerves, I managed to eat a few bites only, luckily I had a discount on my plate. The fries are very good and the service too.

Thoroughly disappointed. Green beans were the only properly cooked part of the filet mignonette and frites I ordered. Lack luster service at best.

This was one of my favorite meals in Montreal. I ordered the filet-St. Paul, which is a good size portion at 9 oz, and it was cooked perfectly. You get a lot of food for the price: the entree includes vegetables (we had green beans and carrots - also perfectly cooked) and bottomless fries. But the portions are so substantial that we didn't order more fries! The fries - wow - so delicious and we could tell they were freshly cut, not frozen. Service was attentive, friendly and the food came out quickly. This is a "Bring Your Own Wine" (BYOW) establishment. When I return to Montreal, I plan on eating here again ... highly recommended. :-)

Never again. We broke an empty glass of water by mistake while we were asked to move table since part of our reservation group had to cancel due to flight delays and they wanted our table although 4 tables were still left open. We were told afterwards to not brake more glass. One member had a late lunch and was not hungry and simply wanted 1 entree, they refused asking absolutely everyone to order a main course. Mediocre food

There was a loud party when we went that was fairly disruptive to our date.

food and service were good, however very limited menu options. make sure everyone eats beef before going as there is no chicken on the menu

Unfortunately at this place I have a bad experience even if usually in the other franchises of this restaurant I eat adequately this Foissy I took a salmon tartare which unfortunately was served to me on a plate which was hot by imagining the disaster I hope it will be better the next time I go back

Ideal for a party dinner with friends! We were twenty and had a great evening.

Great restaurant servers were very friendly and the food was fantastic! This is a bring your own wine place.

Despite us being a group of 10, including 4 children, on a busy Saturday evening (every table was taken), service was quick and our server, Maxime, was very gracious. We had the salmon tartare and calamari as appetizers. Both were tasty and good portions. I had the "steak frites" as my main. My steak was perfectly cooked. The dijonnaise sauce complimented it very nicely. Fries are unlimited!

The ate excellent my noise was just no good without it was 4 people could not talk to each other, I could see that another time of the day could be better.

Delicious calamari, steak and duck. Bring your own wine is also a plus.

They just can't cook it the way you want. Take a chance and ask for medium of you want rare.

Bad ratio quality/price (overpriced). 15% tip automatically added to the bill. Bring your own wine/alcohol policy.

For a restaurant also filled with a huge group in addition to another large group, the service was still very good. Excellent food and very reasonable expectation.

We had a bad service, and when we warned the manager, it is the owner who despised us in the most beautiful way .. if you want to pay $ 50 for a plate, go opposite!

Server always look very busy. Perhaps they are understaffed. I got a wrong order and because server is too busy I can never get their attention, so for the sake of not wasting perfectly good food, I finished the food and paid the difference, but just thought I should comment on it. Its not a 1* experience as food and fries are above average, but does have things to improve upon.

Excellent quality, fair prices, good service and bring your own wine, Only quibble is there is not much selection on the menu but that should not be surprising for a steak house. I highly recommend this restaurant

The hostess is really nice, gentle and cute. Excellent service from her and her team!
