The flat white was not as hot as I would have liked it and the coffee to foam ratio was poor giving me hardly any coffee experience at all. Nat great, seconds after being told I'm about to have the best coffee in Melbourne. Hot cross buns was nice but arrived well before the coffee.
I'll give the place another go but the first experience was underwhelming.

Place has changed a lot since we left coffee is still good but eggs in toast $12 but if you want poached $2 extra and anything else was $5 extra and somethings $5.50. So if I had decided to have bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms it would have cost $27.00 too excessive

Food and drinks were amazing
But the service quality was terrible.
Was like chinese casual restaurants i ve ever been to.
I did not really expect a quality of sercice but one guy working there was even rude. He threw plates, furthermore spilt coffee on my pants.

Excellent place for having a brunch.
The environment is friendly and food is good.
One thing is you have to arrive earlier as there has always been a long queue waiting.

Disappointed I was made to wait outside in the cold when there was 5 mins until opening. Was ushered out by a waitress. Then the manger (i think)..was nice enough to let me in an apologised. Unfortunately waited 15 min for a coffee and there were no customers. Staff need to pick up their game.

Can't go wrong with Seven Seeds coffee.

Can't go wrong with Seven Seeds coffee.
Had a fantastic cold brew. Lots of interesting items on the menu! Need a few more visits to get through them all.
Place is very large with lots of different rooms.
Would recommend stopping in for a tasty coffee.

A very cool cafe, slightly packed, we had to share a table with other people but I think that is common these days. A friend suggested we check this place out and I was quite surprised. I ordered the Eggs Benny Waffle, loved it! My friend was also generous to let me try her Prawn Roll, that was really nice too, sort of reminded me of a Vietnamese roll. The burger was a little average though. I also ordered the Soy Latte, I think i ve found a new addiction - Soy Lattes A good place to enjoy a coffee, but maybe not a date ;)

Seven seeds does such great coffee. I ve always enjoyed tasting it at brother baba budan in the CBD and was excited to go to their Carlton location to eat and drink more coffee. It didn t disappoint. Large space in an old warehouse with friendly staff and plenty of tables. The coffee was great and the waffle Benedict was amazing. The cheddar and cheese flavours of the waffle stood out but were complimented well with the chipotle hollandaise. So good, will be back!

Great meals and the best hot chocolate in Melbourne. The service is always good even with the occasional wait to get a table on busy days. My favorite cafe and not just because it's close to home.

Seven Seeds seems to be symptomatic of Melbourne coffee lately. Weak anaemic and barely warm. Lovely space and the staff were okay. But the coffee was fairly tasteless. I know a cap has to be served at a drinkable temperature but when it is barely warm so that you more or less have to throw it down in one hit it isn't warm enough. I don't know if they use temp gauges in the milk or use the touch method but maybe some baristas, if they are using the touch method, are a bit sensitive to heat and not serving it hot enough. The latte art is also a good indicator of the barista's skill and the strength of the crema. If the Rosetta on a cap without chocolate can just barely be seen it indicates a weak brew or pour. Also, a cap is more that just a flat white with chocolate sprinkled on top. And what's with this thing in Melbourne of sprinkling in the chocolate before pouring the milk? Is it the only way you can get a nice brown latte art style crema on top? Pouring milk into chocolate like this is a mocha not a cap. Seriously. Side note: Melbourne a cap isn't a cap just because it has chocolate on top - stop serving it that way. As I said Seven Seeds is symptomatic of a trend in Melbourne to weak, warm, bodiless coffee. The world is following Melbourne coffee trends and I was recently served a cap in Italy with chocolate on it. This would never have happened 10 years ago. Thankfully in a number of countries the coffee is still be served rich and dark and full of flavour but they're using Melbourne as a guide. I dread what it will be like in 5 years if this keeps up here in Melbourne.

I had the egg waffle Benedict, surprisingly good combination and highly recommend. The coffee was really good. That delicate balance of bitter and smooth. The atmosphere is really pleasant and a good place to write up those quick emails. The staff were also really nice and helpful.

Good food, nice interior, service was a tad slow, maybe because of the number of customer. Food taste was not particularly amazing but not bad either. Just come for the experience of so called best coffee in the world.

Great coffee and patchy service. Took my coffee order and delivered this quickly. I'm ready to order food but before I speak the waitress says she'll be right back to take my food order and races off, never to be seen again. Ten minutes later and she's forgotten about me. I'm in the burmuda triangle of 7 Seeds.

The cafe is quite large and spacious, it has more large tables than small individual tables for smaller groups. The decor are nice, staff is friendly. However, the coffee was a disappointment, it didn't have much coffee taste, it was way too milky. The cake was also a disappointment, it was very very dry. I would only give 2 stars for the coffee and cakes.

First of all, best coffee in Australia. Nice taste, nice scent, and nice representation. I loved their atmosphere as well, and their goods are wearable. The baristas and staffs are kind enough to give informations when we look like we are wondering. I even bothered to take my film camera out to take a snap. Just amazing must try.

This coffee shop is the best coffee in 2012. It is located next to the street behind the University of Melbourne Law School. Like many famous restaurants abroad, the facade is very inconspicuous. The light inside the house is very good. The wooden walls are given in winter. People feel warm, many people park their bicycles behind the door, I don t know if they think of a bicycle hanging in the house. Seven Seeds, like many coffee shops, has their own roasted coffee beans for sale. There are two front and back doors, so you can go straight from the law school. People who say that they pay attention to breakfast know the quality of life. This store should provide early morning energy for many masters of ink. A piece of paper tells everyone not to quarrel with neighbors, it is very intimate.

Atmosphere and space wise, Seven Seeds has been transformed from an old spacious warehouse, and gives off an old industrial yet modern vibe.

Lattes we ordered were pretty good, at the very least at the standard we would expect it to be. Food wise we ordered the salmon dish which was decent but nothing to shout home about. However, the ham and cheese croissant was one of the best we've had in memory and we have since been back a couple of times just got that!

Very COVID safe but not inconvenient.

Will return to have thr Egg, ham hock waffle again and again

A vibrant place with great food and excellent coffee. I always enjoy the coffee here and the tables are stocked with panela (unrefined sugar) which makes it even better if you like your coffee sweeter. The food options are varied and tasty although the menu can tend to be a little egg heavy and while vegetarians should be quite content a vegan may struggle. It's not the best cafe if you have strict dietary requirements but if you are able to make do or fudge a little you should be fine. During peak times the place is pretty packed and it's not uncommon to have a bit of a wait and the kitchen sometimes get a bit overrun so there can be a wait on this also but I find it's always worth it. They have creatively found ways to expand the seating alot over the years but the kitchen hasn't had the same opportunities. There are a lot of share tables so that may not suit everyone but the coffee is worth overlooking a few inconveniences!

Very good brunch, black coffee I feel sour, but quite suitable for morning drinks, the store is bigger than imagined, so the space is very comfortable, there will be no feeling of overcrowding.

Recommended muffins + Benedict eggs, coffee is a matter of opinion.

Great coffee, friendly but polite staff, good atmosphere for weekend breakfast. We've been here many times , the Chilli Scram used to be excellent, after a change (in recipe / chef / overall menu?) the exquisite taste is lacking. Hope they can reconsider their menu, for the faithful customers.

The premise of this business concept is great with all options being ethical yet I had probably the worst hot choc ever. My classmates orders had massive chunks of ice and next to no coffee.
However the service was great and it has a major hipster vibe so if you love specialty coffee and a decent atmosphere it is the perfect place for you.
