My wife and I went here for our date night a few weeks back and the food was amazing. We ve been here a few times before and keep coming back. Definitely recommend! We did have issue where the appetizer we ordered never got delivered to our table and then our meals came out. So i was a little peeved about that hence 4 out of 5 stars but the waiter was apologetic and asked if we still wanted it which we denied.

This place is also BYOB which is a definite plus and we always try to take advantage of. Overall this place is really good with a wide variety of food and really delicious!

Being able to eat outdoors on a closed off street is a pleasant experience in itself. Add to it very good food and service, and this becomes one of the top places to eat in Red Bank for me. Poke bowl, short rib, octopus are all worth coming back for.

Food was good, but had to wait over a half hour even though I had reservations. Pretty sure that a group skipped us because they knew someone (showed up after us, hugged the host, said dont worry he said itll be 2 min, and then went ahead of us).

I get take out from here all the time for lunch. Everything is always ready on time and is delicious. The spicy sashimi salad is outrageously good! Today, I had the Greek Eats (their sister restaurant) Chicken Gyro and it was fantastic. This place is not to be missed when you're in Red Bank!

Stopped in last night. Haven t been here in a while. The service was great, attentive and on point. The food on the other hand was hit or miss.
Chef Anthony s Meatball, Asian Caesar Salad and Spicy Samurai Fries apps all
Penne Vodka with Chicken, vodka sauce extremely oily and flavor just not there. The shredded chicken mixed in was a surprise. Scallops and Shrimp Scampi average at best. Just bland lacked flavor. It was a big disappointment. The margarita pizza on the other hand, cooked perfect, sauce and cheese flavorful, just a bit on the oily side. It was the best meal from our main course. Overall the ambiance, staff were very good. I have mixed feelings about the food. Nothing from my main courses makes me want to come back and try this place again. Maybe for apps and pizza?

My wife brought me here to here on a date, I had the duck salad it was the best Salad I ever had! The place and atmosphere is trendy, the hosts and waiters are great and classy service with a smile. We are regulars now every time I come in to Red bank I have to stop in to eat, you have to try the fire cracker shrimps! My kids love the place one of the best places to eat in New Jersey....

Service is slow, but nice. Food was overall just okay. Some things are better than others...like their signature salad with the crackling calamari is good. Also tried the sweet and spicy poke bowl with greens instead of rice and it was way More

Did not care for our waiter Joe on Saturday night. He wasn't friendly; almost seemed annoyed to be there. Came to take order and drop off check, not much else as food was brought out by runners.
Enjoyed food such as surf & turf roll, meatballs, pizza, calamari salad, and tuna entree. The octopus was okay but nothing great.
A nice neighborhood byob but won't be rushing back soon as there are many other dining options in downtown Red Bank.

I have always loved the Bistro. The sushi is a good size and there are some interesting apps and deserts. I have been going there for 10 years. I also drive a cab and recommend them to my clients who ask whats good to eat. Good starting point for Red Bank.

This place was absolutely amazing. First the host (possibly the manager not sure), sat us and was very welcoming. Shortly after our waitress came out. She suggested a wine according to our tastes which was perfect (we ended up with two bottles). Then we ordered our food and it was simply delicious! The Octopus appetizer as so tender, clearly cooked just right. Everyone was so happy with their entrees and our waitress was so attentive. She even came back to thank us afterwards for generously tipping her. She deserved it honestly. I just wish I got her name. We will definitely be back.

I am new to the area and have fell inlove with the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. The sushi is fresh and the salads are huge! The menu changes often too, so you always get to try new things! I now celebrate my birthday here every year with friends and family...we get a big table!!!

Spicy Tuna Taco - overwhelming tuna portion, not much flavor. JS4.4

Asian Ceasar - The best part of the meal was spicy cashew in the salad! JS5.4

Salmon - Best dish, nice portion and presentation. JS7.1

Staff is wonderful. Despite the pandemic, they are warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Great sushi ~ ask for the special! Wonderful salad, calamari & pizza too! And, BYOB, or order from their bar!

its okay if you like okay. I've never had a bad meal nor a great one there. They have sushi and pizza. I understand why, but when you try to be all things to everyone you excel at nothing. If you're some rube who doesn't know good food you'll probably enjoy The Bistro. The bar is low in Red Bank, which makes The Bistro a sensible choice. Much better rhan the awful Downtown which is jusr down the the street.

A little pricey but you get what you pay for at this cozy BYOB that has quite an eclectic menu.

My recommendations for appetizers are the crackling calamari salad and shrimp kamikaze - both beyond delicious. The calamari salad is fried calamari with a mixed greens salad and a tangy Asian style dressing - it is super unique and a flavorful experience.

My past entrees included the short rib which is phenomenal as well as the penne with vodka. The sushi rolls are actually very good quality as well, I recommend kiss of fire for the spice lovers as well as surf and turf.

Overall a great restaurant and BYOB helps keep the prices down because you can save on alcohol. Definitely recommend.

I've always passed by here, but it took me a long time to try it because I wasn t sure how good it would be. I decided to try in last Sunday because I heard Anthony Ferrando is now the chef here. He use to be the owner of the restaurant Dish which I always enjoyed. We started with the coconut curry lobster bisque and the sweet potato and shrimp dumplings. We were disappointed with the coconut curry lobster bisque because there was no coconut or curry taste. It was just a regular lobster bisque soup. The sweet potato and shrimp dumplings were good! In my opinion they would be even better without the shrimp. Only because I don t think shrimp and sweet potato mix well together. For dinners we had the burger and the lobster pappardelle. Both of our dinners were really good! The burger was nice and juicy, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. The lobster pappardelle came in a delicious sauce which was very much enjoyed. For dessert I had the chocolate bread pudding which was AMAZING! Chef Anthony always made the best desserts! I wish they would at least add 4 of his desserts to the menu as desserts choices were limited to only 2. He makes delicious layer cakes hopefully Bistro can add them to the menu. I love Bistro s menu as there are so many options depending what you are in the mood for. I recommend dining at The Bistro At Red Bank!

I was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. I went in with medium expectations and the food and service was very good. 4 stars because they packed the floor with so many tables you couldn't even move back an inch. This took away from the experience.

The low score is a result of disorganized greeting and issue with request to allow a birthday cake to be served at our table. After reservation was acknowledged we were asked again about our party and whether we had a reservation, greeters seemed disorganized. We selected restaurant for a birthday celebration as we are from out of town and were attending a event at the Count Baise Theatre but were unable to have the cake served nor celebrate. Food we will say is spectacular but we believe service is lacking and would not be selecting in future.

Appetizers were amazing and the place being bring your own BYOB really worked well for us

Place isn't the biggest but getting a reservation is a smart idea

Also the parking like most of red bank is limited so get a ride if you can !

The best octopus ever with an amazing lemon caper sauce and a refreshing fennel and arugula side salad with fingerling potatoes. I would get it ever time. Also ordered the ravioli expecting it to be just like the du.plings at Teak and they didnt live up to the same expectation. 2nd time I've been here and overall very good with attentive service. I will be back.

Kinda random but delicious mix of Italian, Japanese, and some Latin foods. From empanadas to sushi rolls to pasta bowls to burgers (and dessert!), everyone in our large group went home happy. Cappuccinos came out cold, but it's not worth docking down a star based on the rest of the stuff.
