I ve been Seven Seeds second time, and really enjoy the brunch time here, food, services, everything in here is awesome. The entrance design is low-key, and not easy to be identified, but when you enter the restaurant, it s amazing!

Carrot cake is very delicious, although the last clerk is wrong, I have a small ticket with her, 10 knife counts as 22 knives! Then I left and forgot to take my things, my God. But still give 5 stars. I hope that I will go back to take my things tomorrow.

Walked in around 11:30am on a Thursday. Only waited about 5 minutes before seated. Staff were helpful. Flat white was good. Avocado Smash and Pork Belly Burger were averagely good (not outstanding but nothing to complain).

This place deserves way more than just 3 excellent scores. It is truly amazing. The decoration is very subtle but at the same time stylish and gives the whole cafe a very homey and welcoming feel. Coffee was great, it was simply divine I haven't tried anything better and they have all kinds of sweet and savoury treats. I got a blueberry cupcake with my coffee and it was delicious. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you still haven't.

We ordered the chilli scrambled eggs and peas, sausage and hash brown. Portions were decent.

Food was delicious and the eggs and peas dish was very inventive and worked well together - the hash brown was perfectly cooked.

I ordered a green tea, and was given a hojicha green tea. I would have preferred being given the option or ordering matcha green tea instead.

Service was prompt. Though the staff are a bit pretentious and assume airs, which is unfortunate as the food is good.

I arrived at Seven Seeds during one of their peak periods. WIthout necessarily knowing what the decorum was, I approached the counter where the coffee was made and was directed to attend the front counter. Upon approaching the front counter (which is directly in front of the door where customers enter) I observed that there was no que and no space. The attendant allowed customers to push in and was incredibly impolite. Upon ordering my coffee, I was directed to go an stand near the newspapers (there were no newspapers there, presumably because they were all being read!). Perhaps the regulars may no where to stand but I felt I was in an episode of Seinfield with the Soup Nazi! I have to say that the coffee was certainly not worth the wait- it was overpriced and had an overpowering licorice taste to it. I have had much better coffee and service from much less pretentious outlets. I would recommend that Seven Seeds does away with the hipster, pretentious attitude and bring it back to basics- good quality coffee and good customer service.

Ordered the scrambled eggs on sourdough, and topped up with a hashbrown and mushrooms. Mushrooms were on point, bursting with juice and flavour with just the right touch of seasoning. Scrambled was done nicely with a coat of bright yellow, mixed well in the pan under the right temperature. Disappointing was the hashbrown. Cut too thick and salted little, it was almost as if eating bland potatoes. Overall a pretty good meal! Would come back again if I'm in the area!

Near Melbourne University. Stop at Haymarket st/Elizabeth st green tram from Flinders Station. The price is less affordable for students but it provide beautiful food options. Famous for its coffee quality and regarded number 1 in Melbourne. But still, Indonesian coffee like Aceh Gayo is the best hehehe...had a nice meetup with Monash IT students here. Very pleasant for discussing ideas.

Cool vibe and good food... But it took 50 minutes to arrive when we were told it would take 30, there is only one person settling bills and taking your name for the wait for a table, we were brought a scone instead of the scroll we asked for, and they kept the door open when everyone was shivering! Staff were very friendly but just too disorganised. When we asked why our food was taking longer than people who had arrived after we had already ordered the explanation was we had ordered a dish that took a long time... So why not warn us when we ordered!?? Probably OK during the week but be prepared for long waits and disorganised (albeit friendly) service on weekends

Just a door with no signage that opens into an amazing rustic place one of my highlights of our stay in Melbourne.

We gave this a shot after initially realising that the cafe we were going to was closed for the day and we could have not been luckier because this place is awesome! I love this industrial style venue that has been divided in segments to reduce the volume and give a feeling of seclusion for each space. Food and coffee 10/10.

The absolute BEST cafe in Melbourne.

The absolute BEST cafe in Melbourne.

I travel from Carrum Downs on a monthly basis just to experience this cafe over and over.

If you haven't been there and love coffee then you'll be kicking yourself you didn't go sooner.

This place is busy and packed especially on weekend's. But the coffee Price for 250gram of beans has been creeping up. Also just paid $4.30 for a weak latte that was too hot. Good coffee just too expensive.
Just been back. Food looks great but 40 mins for food when they are busy. Is that too long? New food menu is great. Burger and chips very nice.
3rd and final time. We love the beans always buy for our home machine but we won't be back. Waiting forever to get the food . Over 40 mins. The place wasn't even busy.
Service is freindly but average. The new menu is boring to me . Crispy potatoes were soggy and cold in the hash.

Dropped a star.

Tasty

Had 100s of burgers around the world, definitely one of the best for my taste and on my top 10 right up there. The meat isn't dripping, the egg was cooked right and the sauce, tomato is spot on.
Coffee was great too. And I liked the crew their very much, great to chat with

Waffle eggs Benedict and a cup of PERFECTLY brewed early grey is to die for as a early lunch/brunch.
They take their coffee and tea extremely seriously, but don t be afraid, lovely staff.
It s fascinating how they preheat a teapot to the right temperature, then fill it with water and a timer set for exactly for your tea type to steeping in.
Will take a couple minutes to get to your table, but worth the wait!

Fantastic cafe serving excellent coffee tucked away in a quiet unassuming street. You definitely need google maps to find this place - but it s a real hidden gem set in an old garage workshop-warehouse. Super popular and worthy of its reputation as Top Melbourne Coffee spot. I visited on a weekday and had a short wait, I can only imagine the crowds on a weekend!
Service was great, and the food was sensational- the Ham & Eggs was one of the best brunch dishes I ve eaten in ages!
Highly recommended.

The eggs benedict waffle was more filling than I had anticipated and was extremely delicious. I also got the orange juice which tasted like the bottled ones but I'm not sure. Overall the seating is often shared with strangers but nevertheless good food.

Cute little industrial coffee shop tucked away in Melbourne's city edge. Absolutely beautiful coffee and an amazing Anzac Caramel slice. On top of that very friendly staff who are willing to chat

Worst experience in a cafe ever. We had to wait for 40 minutes for the table and when we got the table, we had to wait another hour for the food to be served..
Seems like they were set to make the experience even more horrible for the customers by making it difficult at every stage...the food was good but not really worth it for the wait..my friend had hair in her scrambled eggs and couldn't be bothered to complain as she didn't want to wait another 30 minutes to get it replaced!!

Great place down in Carlton for some amazing coffee and breakfast. The place is very popular with locals and uni students, staff & faculty. It does however, get very busy during the weekends. Also, a small coffee can costs $4.5. Mind you - it is pretty good coffees.
