One of our favorite resorts in FL. As locals, we love to take staycations with our boys and the World Center Marriott never disappoints. The splash pad is very clean and so much fun for our younger kids. My oldest son and husband can spend all day on the water slides without the lines at the theme parks. I love that I can keep an eye on everyone from my cabana and receive stellar drink service. Our suite provided great views of the laser light show and the Disney fireworks. The only snag was riding the shuttle to the parking garage. We now just stick to valet or riding the free shuttle around the local area, as it's much faster. We can't wait to spend another weekend there!

Nice resort close to Disney Springs and the Disney parks, nice pool. Light show at night from the pool. You can see the Disney parks fireworks at night depending on your room location.
Beautiful property featuring a very nice pool area with slides. My daughter had a blast. The property can get very expensive with the additional fees and dining at their restaurants.
Great hotel with several restaurants, a Starbucks, good gym, fabulous pool and helpful friendly staff. Our room was nice and certainly well equipped. Very close to Epcot and not too far from the other Disney resorts. $45 can ride from the airport, $25 can ride from Animal Kingdom and $20 from Epcot. This hotel is enormous but very well run and very well staffed.
Expensive and lacks simple amenities. There are no cups for brushing my teeth. The hotel is huge but the facilities are old. I could see the disney fire works from my room but they were really far away. $250/night for a room is totally not worth
The rooms are very reasonably priced if you get them on sale. Service is good and staff are friendly. Water pressure from both the shower and sinks is horrible though. They have some type of aerator to save water but it s a bit excessive. The food is pretty decent at most places but is ridiculously expensive. There s no need to gouge people. Advise eating at local restaurants and bringing snacks/alcohol to your room from Walmart
Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The check-in, Bonvoy, concierge desk, bellhop, cleaning staff, restaurant staff, pool staff, spa staff, shop staff - were all unfailingly friendly and helpful and did their jobs well. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was all delicious, and the pool was great. Made for a very wonderful, memorable vacation.
This is the worst hotel customer service I have ever experienced. I've contacted them a couple of times and every time they have lost my room reservation, and I am on the phone with them for hours. Never have I experienced this type of customer service before. Horrible place.
Spent my 15 year anniversary with my hubby here. He had asked for a surprise of champange, chocolate strawberries, and rose petals for the bed upon checkin. We waited about 1 hour and then left for a bite to eat at one of the hotel's many restaurants. When we returned back to the room, a sign on the door stated they tried delivering and he called for them to return. They brought everything but the rose petals. The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms are large and the pools are nice. We visited the spa for massages and it was ok. The food at this place is amazing. It was so good. They have their own greenhouse and the produce in the restaurants. Very fresh and not too expensive. The staff was friendly as well.
One star. That's right, just one! Why? We hosted a conference here, bringing the resort millions in revenue. However, the staff treated us as second-class visitors by putting our attendees in rooms far, far from the conference center. Most of our attendees also complained of dirty rooms and lack of cleaning services. Don't host a conference here, the staff cannot handle it. It's that simple.
It was very nice! Just went for a few beers with a friend at the sports bar. I had a issue with the amount to pay for parking but friend picked up the tab so it balanced out. Only complaint was the t.v.s in the sports bar was out but it was probably my luck.
We went for a family staycation with 3 kids and 3 teenagers. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The pool and splash pad were amazing plus there was an indoor pool and hot tub for when it was a bit too ho outside. The rooms were nice, comfy, and spacious. They also gave us an extra air mattress and roll away for the extra kids for free. They also gave out free popsicles, balloon animals, caricatures, water and had play areas for the kids in the lobby. The laser show and fireworks were amazing as well. Overall a wonderful and very kid friendly hotel.
Worst Hotel Experience I have ever had! I arrived at the Hotel for a relatively small conference and was expecting "business-as-usual" since the resort has a conference center which is literally connected to the main hotel. What I experienced was an awful customer experience bookended with a horrid 45 minute check-in and a 1.5 hour check out. I arrived with a business credit card and rooms for 3 different parties but I was told I could not check-in because I had reserved my room under a guest of a different name. As is typical with a business conference reservation, we often book rooms way in advance under generic names and then change our sales people, etc depending on situation. I have done this with many, many other Hotels and affiliated brands and have NEVER been told I cannot check-in. By the way, I had the actual corporate credit card I used to make the reservation and confirmation email, but that wasn't good enough. It was obvious the hotel was not ready for a conference, a small one at that, and it took most folks between 20-25 minutes to check-in. I was told to wait and eventually gave up and asked the VIP folks to check me in, which they did (45min later). More difficulties ensued. I tried calling guest services from the actual button labeled "guest services" in the room and No One answered. Room Service Left food in our Hallway over 24hrs. It was there when we checked in and there when we checked out the following day. Gross! Also, It took 1.2 hours to get out of the hotel because the Valet Parking system was an utter mess. They were loosing keys and having a hard time dealing with the 50-60 people that were ready to leave. I would highly recommend the Starbucks in the hotel lobby. They efficiently served hundreds of people waiting to get their morning fix and did it swiftly. Last time I will ever stay here.
I'm still here in the hotel so I can said what I'm living; check in very slow close to 45 min. waiting, cold staff but not rude; The good; the pool area and the food, the breakfast is expensive (27 plus) but great. The bad, many; My daughters (9yr) bed was with stains sheets, my bed was without sheets at all; just the duvet and I asking for sheets the staff said: we are running out of sheets. The parking is a nightmare, 16 daily for self parking with 40 min. of walk in both ways or 20 min. in total by the shuttle, means you are trapped. Good infrastructure but bad management.
We had a pool view room. It was very clean. Bed was. Comfortable. The pool is big. They had pool activities. My only complain was the restaurant were a bit pricey.
Stayed many times before and will not be going back. Service and quality has went way down. Hotel is too big or under staffed to accommodate guests. 30 minutes to 3 hours to get in the less then par restaurants which are highly overpriced. On some occasions could not accommodate 2 people as a walk in. Called down to get vehicle was told 20 min took over an hour to get vehicle. Unacceptable overall. Unorganized chaos. Marriott Corporate needs to take a serious look at fixing these issues.
I was in the Florida Ballroom for a conference, and I thought the space was perfect. The seats were comfortable, planty of bathrooms near by, and enough room for 250 people plus vendors.
We had such a wonderful experience at the Orlando World Center Marriott that I just had to pass it on.
~ Jason (manager) called me twice prior to our arrival to make sure that all of our concerns (mainly that we had two adjoining rooms for us and our kids) were fully taken care of.
~ Tammy in the recreation area called my wife at least twice to help her arrange for our cabana and massages that we enjoyed while there.
~ Upon arrival, Kenny (bellman) was gracious, friendly and helpful.
~ Jason (above) got another chance to show his dedication to our comfort and concerns when we tried to arrange for dinner reservations at the concierge and were disappointed that they could do nothing (more on that later). I called Jason and he took care of everything without question.
~ Tammy worked with Sharie (or maybe Shane, I didn t have my glasses on and couldn t fully read her name tag) at the poolside to ensure that we were WELL taken care of.
~ Terry at breakfast in Latitudes and Longitudes was a GREAT server for us both days.
Everyone went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful time, and made us all feel very special, and treated us like we were the only ones there (except the concierge, who we felt like we were bothering, and also suggested that we go offsite for food when we had just arrived there).
We have been going to the JW Marriott or Ritz at Grande Lakes for probably 10 years and gave it up this year because of the terrible food choices that have happened over the last few years. It seems like all of the restaurants have not been open that day or were closed for special parties. So we were particularly sensitive to that when we couldn t get into any of the restaurants according to the concierge but Jason to the rescue, he took care of getting us in.
I think that they have a well trained and fabulous staff there at the World Center, and we plan to be back.
Very busy place. Very basic rooms. But a nice place to stay for a quick stop passing through or doing other things close by. The pool on site is nice for the kids to burn of some energy before bed. On site food is a great alternative to having to go some where, decent options too.
Nice looking hotel, conveniently close to major things. However expect to be nickel and dimed for everything- wifi, parking, you name it. Didn't expect that from a fancy hotel. Even Disney resorts don't charge for parking.
Awesome hotel. The fare that I choose included a 30 dollars resort fee that included Wi-Fi in rooms and shuttle to Disney Parks or Disney Springs. Th staff is friendly and open to help you. You can find spanish speakers staff that may More
Upon checking, Kimberly was friendly and able to get me in my room several hours before check-in. The grotto/spa pool is perfect for hiding away, mostly adults and very quiet. Beautiful grounds to walk around
Hotel was beautiful and the staff was phenominal. Beds were decently comfortable. Only complaint was a lack of water pressure from the shower head, and the coffee tasted awful. Overall however we were very pleased with our stay of two nights.
Very busy place, very big place. The pool was amazingly superb, dining is expensive but there were options. Rooms are comfortable. Staff was friendly for the most part. Wish I could remember the guy that checked me in, he was awesome and helpful. My only real issue with the place that gives it only 4stars was the mold on the balconies, need to use a different kind of paint to help prevent that.
Absolutely disgusting the pool tile was filthy the shuttle from the hotel to Disney springs leaves 5 minutes earlier than scheduled and the resort view we asked for was a view of roofs and industrial fans would not recommend staying here it s a waste of money and time
Way too busy and noisy, not too mention way too big! Service good but felt the stress level of being in NYC while staying at this hotel for 3 days. Not advised for business...a lot like Disney world.
Enjoying every minute of our vacation here. Pool, hot tub, laser show, got a wonderful massage. The food is amazing. Everything you could want all right here. And super comfy beds!
If you prebook, tell them about a special request (feather free room) with early check in, don't expect to be in your room to be ready. Took them over an hour after we got there to get us into our room, and I also had to speak to a manager to get into a room.
One of the biggest hotel which I ever see. But design froze in the 90s. I belive that this hotel have a nice location but need to be renewed... other words about food service. Too expensive and quality is not meet with price. Better to go outside for dinner.
I had two pair of pants ruined by their chairs in the conference center. Was told by the manager they would send me a check for the damages...I'm still waiting.
Very beautiful, staff was very kind and friendly. Stood during a convention so it was incredibly busy yet the staff was able to take care of us in a timely manner.
Spent Dec 26-Jan 4. Had the best family vacation ever. We will return. There is literally so much to do just at the hotel itself leaving was not even on my list, but having children of course we did the magic kingdom experience and everything else for them too. Every other day we were poolside every night we were enjoying the family movie poolside, the wonderful laser show each evening, and the spectacular fireworks show on New Year's Eve. And our family being sports fanatics we're tickled pink when we realized that the under armour all-americans were there a fabulous vacation fabulous!!
This is an amazing Marriott property with an incredible staff especially the guys and girls taking care of you poolside... They literally run their little bottoms off day and night giving the guests anything they need. they were not only prompt they were friendly they remembered you so the next day you were down there, they already had what you wanted ready to go for you, truly amazing people.
We stayed at Orlando World Center Marriott April 5 thru April 10, 2015 and I can't say enough positives about this hotel...awesome, spectacular, clean, staff so helpful and polite...from check in to checkout. We were checked in by Jacqueline Sanchez who is the best! She had a great smile and couldn't have been more helpful. Our check in took a few minutes and when we checked out I waited especially for her to check us out so I could tell her how great I thought she was and hoped to see her next year...cause we are definitely coming back to this hotel. We need a bigger room maybe the Promenade Suite with a sitting area would give us a little more space. We were on the 18th floor looking toward Disneyworld and could see the fireworks every night from our balcony which was great. The pool is totally awesome ! We ate at the food court several times, food a little expensive but very good. There's a place behind the arcade called The Grid where our grandson played video games. The cost is only $15 daily from 3pm to 9pm and I think the young man's name was Johnnay ...he was so helpful and assured me how safe it was. The hotel is huge so if you're a cough potato you will not like it because you have to walk a ways to get to the pool or anywhere actually but that's one of the things I love... the feel of anonymity and family is everywhere and everyone is having fun. Go to this hotel...you will not want to leave.
Room is small, outdated, and has SPIDERS. Bed is uncomfortable. The curtains didn t close all the way, so we had to change in the very outdated, extremely small bathroom. Some of the lightbulbs in the lamps didn t work. There weren t enough lounge chairs by the pool. The fitness center is small. The quality of food in the restaurants the hotel offers does not match with the prices what-so-ever. In my opinion, this is a very pricey hotel/ resort with very little amenities. WiFi is WAY overpriced and the shuttle to get to the parking garage is a busted down, outdated bus. Spending thousands of dollars on a simple vacation to Florida is ridiculous. I could have gone to Europe for the same price!!! I do not recommend this hotel/ resort to anyone.
