Nice holiday package if you can resist the timeshare selling meeting.
Nice holiday package if you can resist the timeshare selling meeting.
Wonderful rooms and great staff with plenty of amenities on property that you don't need to go anywhere else. Great for families.
We had a great time. Stayed in a 2 bedroom condo for a week. There is a pool an easy walk away, and the accommodations are very nice. We have stayed here before, and will continue to come back.
The location was great with great amenities, and so much stuff to do
Rooms are nice and clean. Lots of activitiesb to do as a family.
Nice resort for family and friends to get together and share life.
The resort is great. The rooms are nice. TVs are super small but unless it's raining why are you in the room, right? Contacting resort services and anyone is joke. Spent a week and probably spent a totally of 4-5 hours on hold waiting to talk to someone. When finally in contact with someone they resolved the issue but still it was so annoying. That fact alone we will probably never stay here again.
Great facilities no real complaints. Would definitely stay again.
This resort is HUGE! I love it. My family and I have enjoyed it so far.
Poor customer service. I needed a crib for my baby and the man tossed it into the door and walked away without helping me put it together (I'm a single mom with two kids on vacation). In the end, the crib had two broken wheels so my baby couldn't sleep in it, since he kept sliding from the tilt. I found a dead caterpillar in my room, we were forced to move villas when the other one had plumbing issues in the front yard, and we were treated horribly. Oh.... and when I needed a drink from all this.... the margaritas were about as strong as a glass of milk. :-(
Excellent vacation time! I absolutely love it there! Always plenty to do there! Lots of fun!
Everything was wonderful except we needed a late checkout and was unable to get one.
This place is amazing!!! So much to do! There are multiple pools, golf course and restaurants. The rooms are clean and beautiful.
Affordable resort with tons of activities and amenities.
Lots of things to do here. You just have to pay more.
Very fun place for anybody. The rooms have everything you could want or need
As an owner for the past 7 years this past weekend we stayed at the resort. We were put in a room that has some issues. Come to find out it was dripping water from light fixture. They made us move rooms. My son fell in kitchen groom washer on floor. No offer for credit or anything. We only git a room change. More could have been offered to us for the trouble and my son hurting himself.
Great location, 15 minutes away from magic kingdom. Clean, great staff, reasonable price.
The resort was great. The customer service was a little confusing. Was told one thing by one customer service rep, and on the same day was told something totally different by a different customer service rep. The workers need to be on the same page.
It's nice. The facilities are very good. The rooms are a little outdated. They really try to push a membership on you when you check in
PROS: Wonderful spot to stay. Can't say enough about that - 2 Putt Putt courses, I think 2 golf courses (I'm not a golfer), multiple swimming pools, basketball courts, restaurants, etc. You never have to leave property if you don't want to. CONS: However they will try to sell you....BUYER BEWARE!!! They will do whatever they can to get you to buy something including high pressure and misleading you, if not out right lying. Buyer beware!!!! That's the only reason for 3 stars.
This is a LARGE resort, be prepared to drive from one are to another. There are many pools but be careful most of the extras are NOT included. The only extra we paid for was tubes for the lazy river. It was $9 per tube but the kids really enjoyed it and allowed the parents to relax.
This was was wonderful. It's was very close to Disney World, shops and restaurants. The staff is AWESOME!! They were welcoming since my family and I arrived. I recommend this place to everyone!!
It s disgusting the rooms smell like pee, the people who work there are disrespectful . They don t appreciate costumers. They told us that we wasted their time to convince us to go to the presentation and we didn t want to.The water heater is broken, the water was cold. The equipments are old. Don t buy the timeshare.I don t recommend anyone to go there. It s a cheap place no quality
Very nice resort, weary villages had nice pools, restaurant, beach area with jet skis, paddle boat, ping pong and tether and volley ball. Golfing, lazy river on the east side and river island. The condos are a good size but some need updating. We enjoyed spending Christmas here
The experience was less than great. At check-in the desk staff was not courteous, the lobby greeters were too busy looking at their phones and arguing who got to go on break next and then to get the parking pass the gentleman was so pushy and rude and willing to lie to get a sale that he made used car sales men look like saints. Once getting to the room the accommodation was nice, the harassing phone calls were annoying demanding to attend a sales pitch to get a free $160resort credit more than once in a day. And being hung up on when I called to say the toaster was broken and actually a fire Hazzard.
Wonderful place for a vacation. Condominiums are immaculate and staff is great.
Have been owners for 15 years. Always a great place to come back to.
I think orange lake resort is the nicest resort for the money anywhere! Great service! Well kept up. Great location. Nice pools.
I am very upset with Holiday inn hotel chain specially if you get a Call from them for any kind of vacation package ...I will recommend pls dont buy they are liars and cheaters ...They are not doing right buisness ..Let me tell everyone the whole story..I recieved a call from Holiday inn that they are offering vacation package for 3 nights for $299 plus tax .so i found that very good deal so i buy that and they charge me $299 that time and it was a call for more than 30 minutes call in which they read a long script which nobody wants to listen and than there was a catch behind it that if you take a tour of whole resort you will get points and $100 cash .It sounds very interesting to me so i bought that package and than we went to vacation on 20th april 2018 and my wife was 4 months pregnant and she was not well and not able to take the tour .I went to take the tour but they deneied to take me that tour alone bcz the clause for the tour was we both have to take the tour and we didnt take the tour.and when we came back from vacation we were charge $399 for not taking the tour and those charges nobody told us before and when i was calling them to take that off $399 but they said i was informed in that bloody script which they read to me ...Now i am talking to my legal team and will file a law suit against them just want to aware everyone about there SCAM ....
Great place to stay. The large villa sleeps 8 and has full washer and dryer. Very comfortable.
Lots to do, fun to try out different pools and activities. We rented a jet ski for an hour on their lake. A bit sprawled out though - took awhile to get from entrance to building.
Overall had a great stay , no cash location everything is charged to the room
All you need for a great vacation within an expansive resort property. Great response to needs from resort management.
This property is full of friendly staff, pristine landscaping, and clean, well-kept units. The family activities are so fun and the pools all have zero-grade entry for little ones! There are also a couple splash pads. The food is delicious at the pool restaurant. My family comes here every other year and my children look forward to it.
If you're not a timeshare member, be prepared for a presentation trying to sell you on one. Suites are spacious but property is very large and spread out.
It's very huge if you don't have Disney world money this is the next best Thang. Very lovely the kids or adults will not be dissatisfied.
Great place to stsy. Plenty to do without leaving the resort.
LOVE it here!!! So much to do. A relaxing vacation spot. 3 BR in the West Village was perfect.
Zero stars isn't an option. We booked a 2 night stay as it was mine and my mother's birthday weekend. We wanted a nice relaxing stay with everything we wanted to do in the same area which is why we booked the resort. The check in process was rather lengthy as they tried to sell me on a timeshare at 9pm when I had tired kids in the car. Upon check in they asked my plans and I informed them we would be using all the amenities on property. Never once did they tell me there were additional charges to use the entire park and it was not listed on the website as it would be a surcharge. The next morning we received a phone call right as we were out the door for breakfast telling us in order to use all amenities we would have to drag 4 cranky kids at nap time to a 90 minute presentation during the ONE short day we would be on property. I don't appreciate being duped into a time share. I will never again stay on a Holiday Inn property. For one the all mighty dollar was more important to them than actually making our vacation the enjoyable experience we expected. I have never been so angered by any hotel or even motel for that matter that I have ever stayed at. They will never receive another dollar from me, I will not return. Also Never once did anybody there try to make it right, when they realized I would not be sold on a timeshare they wrote me off as a customer.
Rooms at central building are loud. The design of the room makes them loud.
Conveniently close to Disney Parks and iy offers the availability of spaces big enough for a whole family of adults and children, with great views, amenities and transportation around the complex.
Just wished things were working correctly and the game were reasonable priced..
I went here to visit to drop off some products for the gift shop. The staff were super friendly and all were helpful when I got lost and couldn't find my way over to the pool. Very clean hotel as well!
Nice rooms and amenities. Some of the bowls and plates in the room needed to be cleaned.
Very spacious villa, huge resort with LOTS TO DO! Restaurants on the resort were pretty decent too! My kids had a great time!
Welp, the Doc went to visit the Orange lake resort and despite the beautiful atmosphere and intense family vibes which were Fantastic, I am disappointed to tell you guys that the resort has wasted TONS of money on poor housekeepers. Basically they ONLY clean what you can see at eye level!!! I probably won't be back unless the resort would like to redeem itself and restore a good reputation. My shower was black, the lights did not work in one of our guests rooms and of course there is no way to call the front desk besides from your own cellphone.... #whatintheworld.
Now I love a good curry as much as the next person (hence my job) but to have the smell not dissipated from the room upon my arrival or at least housekeeping making an effort to spray the room is unacceptable. Now let's move on to the kitchen...go ahead and look under the dishwasher and refrigerator. I am sure you won't be pleased with what you find. All of this made me question my entire room and it's actual cleanliness. Room 86641 btw.
On a side note: my kids had an accident on the floor (urine) which we tried our best to clean and bet your top dollar that the carpet is hardly ever shampood. We also did them a favor by placing a bucket under the door free that woiwo not stop leaking. On a positive note: The water is hot, they have bet (wierd that they didn't have this two years ago) the guests are friendly and the swimming pools rock. Holiday inn, you get three stars.
It's clean well stocked and the people are very good An shows they are graceful
Gorgeous grounds...great value! Ownership makes you wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Saving a lot of money now.
Best resort in Orlando, although some minor comments may be resolved to make it perfect.
Clean resort with friendly staff. Only negative has been some of the guests and the local feline population that the resort really needs to deal with.
The staff is awesome. Customer service is above and beyond what I expected!
Great experience! Great accommodation!... weird that they charge extra for the shuttle to Disney World
My family absolutely loved it there. We stayed for 4 days/3 nights and there was always something to do. Staff was helpful and friendly and room was very clean and tidy. The pool was fantastic and even rented a waverunner and wife and daughter had a blast. We loved it and will most likely return again!
Forced to sit through update that was nothing but sales pressure to buy more. Room needs updates. Not all supplies were in room. Elevator non working - not one sign posted, voice mail in room, etc. Staff huffy when you questioned them for updates. We are owners who regret purchase here. We have 3 others which are fabulous.
Good service throughout a large area, transportation available between all the locations and lots of good restaurants to dine at.
Oh my god. You dont understand how beautiful it is there. The beds and the amount of places there. It was so cool
They had a golf course that wasn't even far at all so you could walk.
I would love to give this resort a 5 star rating. If it was based on the amenities I would but I can't because the customer service we received was horrible.
My mother booked five double rooms and a studio at this place and I promise at least 4 of the rooms had some kind of issue. The 2 day, the carpet in my sisters room was wet due to a leak, she was moved to another room right above up.... but that was fine we were still close. On the same day, I went to my brothers room and his refrigerator sound like a diesel truck, and the bottom of the fridge was full of water. This was frustrating because there was a bowl already in the back of the refrigerator water and it overflowed. I called for my to get someone to come to his room and I was told someone will be right up.... that happened the next day after several calls.
The following day the shower handle broke, we couldn't turn the water off. after a little over two hours of cold running water someone came to fix it. When we complained about the fact that we were held up because we not only have to go to other family members room to shower and wait for someone to get there, mom was told we could have left and some one would come.... ahhhh no that was not happening and because we had all of our things in the room plus the water was running.
The next day we were planning to head out again, would you believe the shower handle to the other bathroom broke. Are you freaking kidding me. Some one came up within the hour. there was so much I can share but I will finish with one other issue. There was an unfortunate incident where a gentleman had a medical issue and the family was yelling for help, my brother come out of the room because he though it was people just being loud. so while he and his wife who a nurse was helping. a member from security knocks on another family members door and my 15 yo niece answered and security tells her that they are getting complaints that they were being loud and they need to bring it down. My niece tell the gentleman that they were not making noise he says. there are little kids running around. at this time my bother come and ask security why he is he addressing a minor and his kids are in bed sleeping. in which the gentle response he's just responding to a complaint. Ok common sense would say that maybe all the commotion was coming from the emergency that was happing right near the room.
My mom talked to several people about the inconvenience and all we were getting was I'm sorry, I'm sorry. She was told she was being hard to please. She was told that just like at your house, things break. YES THEY DO. But I expect that when I come to a sort that I would have to deal with your issue in your resort. They offer to move us but we would be scattered all over the resort. they said they would refund 35% but wasn't given nearly that much. Hear me when I say it was not about the money. because we stay the whole time and used the services, we didn't mind paying. But we expected better from a 4 or 5 star resort. I will never stay at this resort again. which is unfortunate because I really like the location as well as the amenities.
Enjoyed staying in the condos here. The staff has been very friendly and accommodating. The property has a very reasonable amount of accommodations and activities available to their guests.
Lazy river was kind of dirty & needs more water. Rafts should be available to everyone not for $9 rental. The other pool closer to our room was clean, cool & refreshing on a hot summer day.
Great stay very friendly a little pricey but worth it perfect for vacations
Best vacation my family and i have ever taken. Staff was great and villa was very clean and comfortable.
great place!. friendly staff. i would definitly come here again.
What a great experience!! The 3 bedroom places are fantastic.. But the service at the restaurants was horrible.
Awesome resort, pool and lazy river is one of the best in Orlando, and conveniently located near Disney parks
Love all the pools and activities. Villas are spacious and comfortable.
Beautiful place. They just don't like hearing no when it comes to the timeshare presentation
We absolutely LOVE this resort and had stayed here before but sadly, we will NEVER COME BACK!!
Everything about the resort itself was absolutely perfect for our entire family (kids ages range from twelve to twenty four)... But the PRESSURE TO PURCHASE THEIR VERSION OF A TIMESHARE HAS BECOME RIDICULOUS!!! First of all, their ninety minute presentation turned into THREE AND A HALF HOURS which wasted half a day of our vacation. Then as soon as you try and explain that you aren't interested, they keep presenting more and more and more offers and they just won't quit thus taking up more and more of your precious vacation time! They won't take no for an answer! Then when they finally do get the fact that you've said "NO", their friendly personalities disappear and they instantly treat you like their enemies. It's very unprofessional. If a person has to go through all of THIS just to stay here, why would anyone want to go through this again when there are surely other nice places to stay where you are not treated this way. I did not expect this from the Holiday Inn . Julie Budreau
Absolutely horrible. They staff were unfriendly and messed up our reservation twice. Had to book a completely separate, smaller hotel room the first night (luckily they let us use out points instead of having to pay in cash). We had to leave an entire day early because the staff changed our reservation WITHOUT ASKING because we mentioned that we might possibly be leaving the afternoon before the morning our reservation expired. They deactivated our key cards so we were unable to get back in the building for the other bags full of the food we weren't able to eat on time. The staff that spoke English were rude and condescending. The only people who were polite, other than the bar tenders, were the people who rented out jet skiis, and we later found out that they are associated with the resort. Never visiting here again.
Very nice staff very helpful. Clean and a lot of activities to do
I visited this place about three years ago, and I remember it being really nice. The room was so clean, the staff was really nice, and it was a really amazing vacation.
Stayed in one of the newly renovated/ furnished residences. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Enjoyed many walks around the neighborhood. Lots of resteraunts and shopping close by. Had a wonderful time.
Great timeshare with so much to do. We rarely leave the property. (Everything is here)
Best timeshare value for the money. But not only the timeshare aspect, but also the hotel accommodations worldwide us a part of the points program. With the amenities and convenience, Westgate does not come close.
