Nice atmosphere and nice bar. Spacious, with tables both inside and on the shore with a magnificent view of the Harbor Bridge right in front and the Opera House behind. Friendly staff, regular costs.

Now that winter's a thing of the past, looking forward to spending more time at Opera Bar - today we stopped off for a bottle of rose to enjoy in the sun with views that money can't buy. It's a Sydney-must-do for a reason.

A quintessential Sydney experience whether you are a Sydney-sider, or visiting the town, whether for lunch and afternoon drink or a night by the harbour.

The views are spectacular of course, the food is solid and the atmosphere around Circular Quay develops an electricity as the sun sets, especially on the weekends.

A great spot for drinks with friends while chatting, and enjoying a meal or a snack.

My favourite snacks here are the charcuterie board with bread and pickles and the shellfish.

In the evenings, and on the weekends in the afternoon, there is also live music here which amps up the already fantastic atmosphere ...

If it is your first time in Sydney, do come here for drinks and a casual dinner. Sit outside as the view is spectacular and the vibe is chill. It is a great experience dining with the opera house and the harbour as a back drop. Do be mindful as it can get quite windy, but not enough to ruin your dining experience.

Opera bar is a place you go not for the drink (though they are good) and not for the finger food (though that is fine) but for the joy inherent in spending time with friends while having some of the best views in Sydney.

Lounging about in the side looking over the water almost urges conversations to flow. It's close proximity to scenic spots and a series of entities alongside give the spot a lot of flexibility of you want to explore further.

The service is a bit hurried, but given the numbers of people that frequent I can forgive them that. They definitely are friendly and polite, and you can't ask for more in such a busy spot.

So why would you choose this spot instead of the hundreds of drinking spots in the city? Simply due to the conversations that flow as you feel the breeze and the charm of the view. A chilled out space.

GREAT views while enjoying the scene. When it is a nice sunny day enjoying a drink or food here is amazing. The water brings peace and a unique experience plus you will find a lot of tourists visiting to enjoy.

Fantastic meeting place to have a drink and a bite day or night out with the spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour. Its a huge bar area with very efficient service staff. There's several areas for you to order your drinks and food from. They also have live entertainment and DJs on. Public tra sport to Circular Quay trainstation or buses in close walking proximity and also there's a large parking station beneath the Operahouse close by.

Arguably the best spot in Circular Quay for sightseeing. Opera is basically right next to you and the harbour bridge is viewable from everywhere.

The place is pretty busy for the majority of the day so you may need to wait a while for a table, however, there is seating on the wall while you wait. Drink prices aren't the cheapest, but it's to be expected with the location. A must visit if you're even in Sydney though

Summer afternoon sessions at Opera Bar after work is a Sydney must do.

Try to score yourself a waterside seat or a high table and watch the ferries on the harbour as you enjoy cold beers on tap and refreshing bubbles.

Keep an eye out for live music and specials such as $1 oysters.

Everyone is sharing their experiences of tasting great food and having amazing service at this place. I wanna share a bit of behind the scenes story of those amazing experiences, from my own perspective.

You guessed right, I worked at this place last summer. I worked as a kitchen-
hand at PW and LD sections. What should I say first about this place! First of all, the friendliness and professionalism of the people I worked with were top notch. I was welcomed by most of my co-workers, be that the Executive Chef or my fellow colleagues at PW/LD. At busiest of times, even the executive chef would jump on to help me if there's any need. To talk about professionalism I can say it started even before I officially started working there. The Chefs who hired me were very serious about employment documents and formalities. It took me almost one month to finish every formalities and training. They were very serious about their work. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, sincerity towards serving the customer and everything related to service were maintained thoroughly. All of us were trained by HACCP trainer, organised by Opera Bar, to maintain cleanliness and health-hazard free environment at our workplace.

The place was always busy, always something happening. You will never get bored working here. The employees are well paid, properly matching with their job responsibilities and they are loyal to their employer. I won't also forget the delicious staff meals (for free) during breakfast and lunch times and different types of drinks were always readily available to have.

It's my bad luck I couldn't continue working there due to my study commitments. I would want to use this opportunity to say thank you to the whole Opera Bar team for those amazing experiences.

Stunning views as you'd expect from its location. Prices are above average but then you're paying for the view. Drinks and food are great, and they have pretty awesome events on all the time as well.

+1/2 star - Great views of the bridge and harbour make this an iconic watering hole. Note a fan of the vending machine style ordering now in place and it s pricey, but the view and sunshine/sunset covers a few sins.

Great atmosphere with an amazing view of both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. I think its an absolute must if you are in Sydney.

We all loved the food, beware the sweet potato crisps....they are addictive!

They don't take bookings so arrive a little earlier and be ready to grab a table as soon as it becomes free. There are lots of tables so you shouldn't have to wait too long.

We had awesome service and great entertainment outside on a Monday evening.

Will definitely be back

The Opera Bar was interesting. We went on a Saturday evening in October, so was extremely busy, you have to look around for seating and grab it quickly. It has both covered and uncovered seating. We had sweet potato chips with vegemite aioli as we had never heard of it and really enjoyed it. We went down about 20 steps which is ok if you don't have trouble doing steps. I saw people in wheelchairs but never saw signage to tell how they got up and down to it. So I would definitely look this up. I would definitely go again when I find out how to get down easier. It is a great spot to look out over the harbour.

Yum yummy and yummiest.

Booked 3 tables and food package at Opera Kitchen for a couple of hours after a wedding ceremony. Felt dutifully non private like we were in a food court. Opera Bar is only really good for a couple of drinks if you're with some out of towners.

A friendship group of six people chose the Opera Bar to celebrate a birthday today. I had booked a table and from each individual's arrival, where we were met by a most welcoming Emma, we received excellent service. Although I am not aware of every person's name who served us, Chris behind the bar and Sweets contributed to making the lunch a very pleasant experience. In addition another waitperson, a French guy, was most helpful. Watching the the Seagull Scare Dog had the city folk fascinated.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the food which each of us really enjoyed. It was complemented by a good white recommended by Sweets. The setting rates with the best in the world and those who had not been before are definitely converts.

Thanks for making it a special day for Jan. Each We enjoyed ourselves very much.
