A world icon, the Sydney house opera and the bar is up to the task

When I first moved to Sydney and arranged to meet up with various groups of long-lost friends, this was the place that each group suggested. Stunning views and a good looking crowd make you pleased to be Down Under.

I my city, Sydney. Opera Bar is spectacular: the setting, the view, the staff, the attention to detail, the food, the wine list. My first visit in 2020 since #covid and it couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you. We loved every minute, and had best table you had!

The view is outstanding. The menu and quality are ok. It's an open area so in winter it gets chill but they have heaters. Good vibe

Great venue but can be tough to find a place to sit

Location is first class. Virtually underneath the Opera House across from the Harbour Bridge & cruise ship terminal. Great backdrop for selfies & group photos. Bar service quick too for the size of the place. Background music too loud for anything other than a shouted conversation, so 4 stars only.

Always good on a day with fabulous weather, you cannot get a much better view to have a drink and a meal in Sydney

The Opera Bar is a Sydney staple. You can't beat the view over the harbour.

It's almost always busy, so don't expect to sit down immediately, especially in the summer when tourists flock to the Rocks area.

Drinks are a little pricy, but not a rip-off and IMO worth it for the view.

The are various places to get food, ranging from pub grub to Asian dishes. Generally the food is average, as you might expect for a place serving such a large volume of hungry tourists. Watch out for the seagulls in summer - they'll steal your food if you look away for a second!

Mostly this is a great spot for drinks at sunset. Probably no better place on a warm evening.

Cannot beat the views!! Fantastic spot to enjoy a drink in the evening. Lots of space so you can choose to be in the action or on the edge of the water for a little more quiet. Cocktails are a pricey $20 but beers are more reasonable around $9.

Whether it's for a magnificent cocktail or a light lunch before a performance at the Opera House, head to the Opera Bar for impressive views of the Harbour Bridge. Find an outdoor table and watch the world go by. Love the fish and chips & keep an eye out for yummy specials during Sydney Good Food month.

Wonderful place, amazing view. The prices are not too expensive. I wanna go in the daylight as well. It will likely as good as the night, even on the winter season.

Always a great time at Opera bar. Wonderful views and wonderful service mixed with great live music. A must do in Sydney. Food and drinks are reasonably priced for Sydney standards

My favourite place to visit when going out in Sydney. The live music quality is second to none with local talent and the food is fantastic with the best views of Sydney Harbour.

Fantastic location, awesome food. I would suggest to be wary of the seagulls as they have a tendency to swoop down on your lunch especially if you have chips on your plate! Overall a fantastic venue and I highly recommend.

Going to Sidney and not visiting the Opera bar with its wonderful views and cold drinks on a hot day, did not know what is good !!

For for the view alone, which is arguably Sydney's finest, this place is above average. Many complain about the price but we thought it was ok, certainly by usual Sydney prices.

Great drinks selection, and amazing views. The seagulls get a little too close for comfort but you get a mesh cover for your food so they can't steal it. Food selection is limited but the pizza is delicious!

Located on the lower concourse of the Sydney opera house, friendly wait staff and stunning views of the harbour. If keeping you interactions to a minimum is your thing, they also offer an app through me&u to order and pay.

Great weather and great place for a beer or two. We had a couple of pizzas that were ok for the price.

This is one of my favorite bars in Sydney! The view from this bar alone makes it worth a visit. The ambiance is calm and relaxed, with a hint of class that makes you want to look your best when you go here. The drinks are expensive, but that is to be expected. Overall, a good place to start of at before a night out

Fantastic Experience. I always love coming here. Both me and my husband had a great time.

Food's a bit pricey since its a tourist spot, but the serving size of the $13 truffle fries is pretty good. Tacos were okay too.

This place has a view to die for and a good wine list. But it is very loud and always busy so you need to decide for yourself what sort of night you are out for. Good for party people to mingle and have a celebratory drinks but I wouldn't go here for a sit down meal. Bar snacks are good and pizzas.

A place you go for the amazing views of the Bridge and Circular Quay, and stay for the drinks. A perfect place to meet up prior to an Opera House concert.

Great views and service with a side of seagull attacks

An excellent spot to enjoy an evening in Sydney! We sat by the harbour with the stunning view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Food and drinks were ordered through an app and staff brought it to our table. They offer large wine glasses which is superb! Service was excellent, atmosphere was fantastic with live music and a great social vibe. F**king seagulls I tell you can be super annoying but I saw it as part of the Sydney harbour experience. Highly recommend an evening here, perhaps your first one when you arrive in this beautiful city.

The night view is good, but I also have breakfast in the morning. Coffee is also delicious.

Came here to meet 12+ friends. Staff were accommodating and sorted us out two tables even though we had no reservation. Good food.

Cool bar with views of the bridge. They offer both food and drinks here, and you can just stop in for a drink if you want. This place is usually pretty busy, but you can typically find a seat if you have a small party.

The Guided Tour is absolutely worth it even if you are not allowed to take photos of the concert halls. But still something you should definitely see with your own eyes and if you are lucky you get some sound impressions.
