My car buying experience was nothing short of STELLAR.
I had shopped around all over the state looking for the right place. It took me a while to land on the perfect purchase. When I first called Open Road BMW, the manager Alex was direct and gave me the facts I was looking for to come test drive a BMW. When I arrived, they had introduced me to my salesperson Paul Moomjian who was an absolute GEM to work with. He was patient with me while I deliberated between a few models. They were quick with suggestions and pulled cars up out front to compare, but not pushy in any way.

I eventually landed on a BEAUTIFUL vehicle- not hidden fees, no bs last minute bait and switch. If you want quality, amazing custom service, and transparent shopping experience- look no further.

I will definitely be returning with my mother and would refer any friends or family to this dealership. Working with Paul has been a blessing. Thank you, Open Road!!!

I chose BMW X5 after my current lease expired with another make. Nitin K at BMW Edison was very helpful and found me the car in time. He really worked with us until late hours and got whatever needed to be done. I had visited another BMW dealership, not too far from this one, but the salesperson over there, treated us like we were just shopping around, though we were ready to get at that moment. So, decided to go to Edison and during the same visit we had the deal. I recommended several of my friends after that.

I had a horrible experience with BMW Open Road Pre-Owned in Edison, NJ. I purchased the additional insurance Axiom from BMW when buying the vehicle and cancelled it within the cancellation period. I have made several calls to the dealership and spoke with Robert (Finance) asking about the status of the refund. Robert set expectations and promised to return my calls with status, and I have not heard anything back from Robert or Open Road BMW. I just found out from Axiom the refund was not sent to me directly because the price the dealership pays is different from what was quoted. That explains the additional insurance presentation. I'm disappointed in Open Road BMW, and this will be my first and last vehicle purchased from them.

In my 20 years of driving and leasing many cars, this was hands down the most enjoyable, hassle-free and professional experience I have had. I purchased lease end excess wear and tear insurance through BMW and could not figure out how to use it. No help with anyone but the used car sales manager Alex. He researched my lease and provided ALL info necessary to file my claim. No one else called back. Thanks Alex for going the extra mile for someone you don t even know. Very professional of you.

Horrible customer service. The agent named Raymond ran my credit and after the deal was finalized he tells me that i wasn t approved. I even added the car to my insurance after he told me to. I was about to leave to pick the car and he calls me and tells me that we just assumed that you were approved. Who the eff just assumes that credits are approved.
Highly disappointed with the customer service. I visited the store thrice and i would never recommend this place. Ruined my new years.

He went above and beyond to get me the deal I wanted, and he even delivered my vehicle that night and took an Uber home from my house. He texted me to find out if I was happy with my purchase. ***BUYER BEWARE***Do not go to this dealer, bad people. Buy a Mercedes or an Audi. I purchased a 2021 BMW and the motor blew, and on top of it they want me to pay for a new motor. BMW became an inferior product and on top of it this dealer is a disaster.

BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE WE'VE HAD BUYING A CAR PERIOD! This is our 6th BMW and my 13th car overall I have purchased and this experience blew them all out of the water hands down. Douglas Jeffries was up front and informative. He was very personable and gave us the best car with all the features we wanted. The best part was he kept us right in the ballpark of our current monthly payment and we turned the car in EARLY! The deal was done within an hour which is unheard of when buying a car. We made the deal Thursday but couldn't take delivery because of the time. Therefore, on Friday after grounding the car and signing some papers, we were driving our new 2019 3 Series. All in all, the entire deal took less than 2 hours! If you need a BMW Douglas Jeffries is the man to see. Great guy and even better salesman.

I recently purchased my second BMW from Open Road. Doug Jefferies sold me my first one and he was great. He took his time and walked me through the process, answer my many, many questions completely and patiently. Absolutely a top notched seasoned salesman with a demonstrated willingness to go above and beyond. I ended up locking my keys in the trunk, over a holiday weekend, while out of town. When I couldn't get it unlocked via the remote unlock feature, I left Doug a voice mail. First thing Monday morning my phone rang, it was Doug, assuring me the car would be unlocked within the hour because he had already made the necessary calls to the right people and sure enough he was right, I was in my car heading home within the hour. Outstanding service!
My second purchase was completely unplanned. I took my 3 series in for service and ended up driving away in a new 4 series with the assistance of Jerry Demoneris. He too was very knowledgeable and took his time working with me on the deal. After leaving the dealership, it later turned out that my ipod touch (latest version with the camera) did not work with the USB port. I was not happy. I reached out to Jerry, explained the problem and he said he would look into it and look into it he did. He took the time to download a software update to his personal USB, tested it in another 4 series and figured out a work around, providing me with additional options....now I'm totally happy with my new car. Again, outstanding service!
I will definitely recommend both Doug and Jerry, and Open Road to anyone planning to make a BMW purchase.

George was extremely patient and considerate through the entire process. I bought a 528i for myself, but my experience with George was so good that I bought another BMW for my brother. Throughout the years that we have been doing business with Open Road, we have always been very impressed with the level of service and personal care that we have received from Open Road. It's hard to believe that it has already been over eleven years that we have been doing business with the Open Road and that we are on our twelfth BMW from Open Road.
As you are well aware the marketplace is ripe with car companies vying for that luxury car customer and the vehicles that they are offering are certainly competitive in every way, sometimes even surpassing BMW in their features or content versus price point. Often my wife and I find ourselves ogling at that latest model from another manufacturer in one of our neighbors driveways and for a moment we entertain the thought of trying something different the next time we need a car, but just for a moment.
Some of the rarest commodities in business today are loyalty and trust, whether it's loyalty to a business or trust in that same business, It seems like the long term customer/business relationship has taken a back seat to short term profits. This is why for over a decade our family has continued to return to visit Open Road when we need a vehicle. The process is always simple, we tell you what type of vehicle we are looking for, what we can afford and you do the rest. Not once have we had to haggle price, the process is always straight forward and based on mutual trust.
More recently we have begun dealing with Bryan Villamil in sales. I like to believe I do my research before i step into the dealership, that is why it is so comforting to speak with someone who has a wealth of knowledge on not only the pricing and incentives but the product as well. As has always been the case, I get the feeling that my interests and needs are the primary focus of the transaction.

Went a few weeks ago to Open Road BMW to find the worst experience I ve had with any dealership. Never got the old guys name but starts yelling
and talking loud for no exact reason and just sounded like he wanted to get us out the door. Really needs to retire at this point if he doesn t have enough patience to listen to his own potential customers. These dealerships with big inventory don t care for people trying to get a car for a good deal. I suggest anyone trying to get a car for their moneys worth, don t come and try to negotiate here or else they will just start yelling lol.

Went to Open Road BMW in Edison NJ to get the 1200 mile service done on my brand new M3 and had an amazing experience. I was worried about having issues with the car possibly not getting onto the lift due to how low it is. I dealt with Anthony Sinno and he was great to deal with. I was in and out of there in an hour and have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend this dealership!

Buy your BMW from anywhere but do not go to BMW open road for service, terrible service staff and experience. I bought a new BMW X3 in Oct 2014 and had my first service appointment in Feb 2015.

From day 1 my wipers were not good, hence I asked them to change my wipers, they say they cannot change until the car is 1 year old, even if it is not working.

The heat in the car take 20-25 mins to start working, when i asked about that he says its cold outside hence it takes long. what a foolish answer!!!!! When I insisted to check on the heat system he says it will take 4-5 hours and i don't have anyone to give you ride back home. Never expected such service from a BMW dealer. I have had much better experience servicing my Nissan.

They advertise that in first 3 years BMW has zero maintenance cost compared to Audi or Mercedes, that is because they do not do any required maintenance.

I had to get around that day so they were able to provide me with a loaner car (a new 2013 bmw) even on such short notice. They were very prompt in their service. The service team called me within a day informed me what was wrong and fixed it the following day.

12-3-2020 yes I did purchase a car from this dealership despite the issues, I am here to report that of course I had the car 3 days and I heard the brakes scraping, now I assumed since they told me that the had the car checked that is was because the brakes were new, nope it s because they were old. I have tried other dealerships in the past, but I continue to return to Open Road BMW because of the great experience each time. Larry S. is my favorite Salesperson at CPO and should be promoted. He is extremely knowledgeable and understands his customer as well as the product. He always provides outstanding customer service. Larry S. accompanied me on a test drive. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into anything. Larry S. is always upfront and helped me find the right car for me. Purchasing a vehicle can be extremely stressful, but Larry made it simple and smooth. My car was available for same day delivery. Everyone I dealt with that day from the Front Desk, Finance, and Sales were very professional! I don't trust to many people, but Larry S. feels like family. Another satisfied repeat customer. I recently got a 2015 740 that had no warranty I brought it to open road and they wanted $6,000 to fix the decentric shaft, I made some calls and found Verrazano Motorworks in Staten Island I paid 150$ to get it towed there from BMW and my total bill was 50% less than open road, I paid $3,024 total including tow.. thank you Varrazano Motorworks I used the money I saved to pay my mortgage

I had doubt when i asked for my key , the service rep said it's in the car., so i didn't check anything..drove car to home , finally noticed the key has been broken(the top part came out). Stay away from service or worse... any repairs. No quality control, no proper training. Never had problems buying new cars there ( bought few cars in recent years ), but it was a big mistake to bring my car for repairs.
They took my 5 series to their " certified" body shop for repairs after a minor rear end accident. After a month of repairs "certified" shop messed up the electrical wiring. To make things worse, service department took matter in their hands only to break panels and covers.... keep wondering who writes those exciting 5 star commens...

The service lately became absolutely horrible. Getting an appointment for service with a loaner is a month or a month and a half away. And then you get there and constantly the same excuse we have no loaners at this time, you will need to sit and wait we are still waiting for customers to return their loaners . What was the point of waiting for a month and a half for my appointment????

The staff was extremely helpful and professional; all the paperwork was taken care of within a couple of hours and I was able to drive my new car home the same day. The manager, Lee, was extremely helpful and accommodating and gave me an unbeatable price. I am very happy with my new vehicle. What's the point of making an appointment if they don't take you in when you arrive there?
Went there today for my 10am appointment time, there were several cars ahead in the service bay. No one in the service department acknowledged me when I went in. The ladies at the reception were ignoring me and when I stated I had a 10am appointment one of the ladies said I was to leave the keys in the car and someone will come for me.
Highly disorganized IMO. I did not want to wait for a previously made appointment, so I just left without getting my car serviced. NOT going back if I can help it.

Went in to look at a car for my daughter. Igor was the best salesman! He took us for a test drive, and worked with us to check over the car. He had his service department address one thing that we found in the car immediately... enabling us to purchase the car and surprise my daughter with it that night! The car is great!

Do not Trust a word the sales people say at all and Never Sign ASIS bill of sales. They lied about doing 170 point inspection and history of the vehicle. Please do not buy any used vehicle from them.

No rear bakes, (I paid $837.00)
a broken Axle, (I paid $1120)
engine is burning excess amount of oil,(Still an issue $3000-5000)
Panoramic roof is making rattling noise.(Still an issue $2500 to repair)

After multiple emails to the sales people the dealership sent me $300 check? watch out and do get burn like me!

I do not recommend this dealership. I came here from BMW of Springfield shopping for a x5. Springfield's prices were way better on new x5. These people at open road had no idea about rebates. Only reason why we are giving 5 stars is because of Pedro and his amazing service. We went in to get a BMW X5 and he was so honest with us. He is the best sales person out there, such a humble yet hilarious guy. He is very knowledgeable about the field and even outside the field. We've never received service like how Pedro has provided to us. God bless him, he is the best and only the best. He has done so much for us! I bought the certified 2014 BMW 328i Xdrive car from Open Road Edison show room on Dec 10th.
After finalizing the car on Dec 10th I have been to the show room to do the paper work formalities and while signing the last document Business Manager (Michael Mayfield) told me that the particular car which I was about to buy was involved in two accidents. Client Advisor (Deepak Thawani) suppose to notify me on the accidents but he didn't. I have made up my mind by that time to buy the car and I was told by finance manager those two accidents were minor so I did not pay much attention. And Show Room SalesManager(Alex Rozenberg) was very sure that those shouldn't be a problem and with the brand value I moved forward.
In course of time I have faced many issues with the car
1) Dec 15 2016 - In the very first week of purchase I noticed that car was giving some sort of noise.I brought it to showroom to get it checked.car was under investigation for two days in showroom and then they said that no such noise is reported and it is perfectly good
2) Jan 21 2017 - car got break down while I was on my way to near by store.I have called the emergency services and they towed the car.I got the car again on Jan 24 2017 saying that they fixed the issue
3)Jan 25 2017 - The very next day after the service it again got break down.I was very unhappy with the incidents happening and asked the manager about the same.Then I was told by the management that there was a problem with fuel tank and it needs to be replaced with a new one.They told me that it's very expensive and time taking.I waited patiently hoping that problem would be fixed permanently for 13 days.I got my car from service on Feb 8th.
This time I was really hoping that it wouldn't drag me into more troubles or problems and the same was assured from management
4) March 21 2017 - There is a problem with right side door of the back seat.I couldn't open it from inside.And I also I noticed that trunk gets opened automatically on start of engine.I was again to the showroom for service and I was told that they don't have no slots for service and they cannot take any more vehicle at that hour.I returned home as I have nothing to do
5) April 4 2017 - I have noticed that water is leaking from the mike(From the Roof) of the Driver seat, passenger seat and foot rest area.
They just sold out a bad vehicle to me with a big brand name and sales skills.I wonder how much BMW cares for the customer satisfaction.I am totally disappointed, frustrated and given up. I cannot deal with anymore of this.I have to spend all my time in service center of BMW from the day I bought this car.I even lost interest , pleasure and excitement to drive this car. I have used many cars before which are older than 2004 but they never troubled me the way BMW did.I just want to come out of this soup.
After sharing my unpleasant experiences with management Sales Manager(Alex Rozenberg)
offered me a car with same price but with no virtual guidance. Following are some key points from the offer being made to me:
1. I was informed that the money I paid till now doesn't count.
2. I will need to start a fresh loan for the newly offered car.
3. With the new loan offer my monthly payment increases by $11.48.
4.The vehicle sold to me was substandard, the quality checks performed weren't satisfactory and the sales team from Open Road BMW pushed me into making the purchase without stating the obvious facts about the car's history. Which in this case had meet 2 accidents in the past, but none of the sales team cared to highlight this fact in their sales pitch.
I have Few questions to the management on this
I bought a BMW certified pre-owned car from a BMW authorized vendor.But the certified car is physically and functionally damaged.When it is clearly a fault from the dealership why should I pay for that ? Why should I go for a new car which is missing some of the features that are available in the currently used car and were the deciding factors for me buying this car in the first place.

Jim Crowe , the head of the service department has been terrific. I had a couple of issues with my new car, he went out of his way to ensure that the issues were resolved in a timely manner and kept me informed all through. Would definitely recommend Open Road as its not just the sales dept with Jamal and Nitin who started this wonderful buying experience but the entire support staff as well who do what they need to , to keep a customer happy.

Every time I have bought a car from this dealership it has been a mistake. The mistake stems from this dealership having the worst service when you need it. If you make an appointment, it does not matter to them how long you wait. I had an appointment scheduled for 1pm and they started to look at my car at 3pm. After taking a look, it took another hour for the service guy to come check in. Absolutely the worst service ever! I would go across the street to Mercedes Benz Ray Catena and buy a car from them instead. You may pay a little more for a car of your liking but the service quality is much better and it will 100% be a decision you will not regret. Please take all of these notes into consideration.

My car's alternator failed on the turnpike and I had it towed to Open Road BMW. Overall, I had a very negative experience. I should say that the work was done promptly and I haven't had mechanical trouble since. However, it was clear that these guys were ripping me off. They charged $100+ over MSRP for the part and charged an excessive amount of labor at the highest rate (2.6 hours at $150+/hr, for a simple part swap that could be done in an hour). I could have easily done this at home myself, but since I was travelling from out of town, these guys knew they could screw me over and there was nothing I could do. On top of it all, they charged me for diagnostics ($160+), which no respectable shop will do if you have the repair work done there. I even told them I needed a new alternator when I walked in the door. They live up to every slimy, untrustworthy mechanic stereotype there is and you should not take your BMW here unless you want to be lied to and ripped off.
