What a world class airport Oman has built? Amazing!!!! The size might not be so big but Oman tried its best to compete with the other Gulf countries airport with such an exciting offering to its customers and travellers. The most important factor is the fast immigration and security check followed by the so polite staff.

The new airport is designed in a modern and modern way and has all the services that you imagine and which you did not imagine, in short, magnificence

HATED THIS AIRPORT. LACKS STANDARDS. THEY NEED TO TRAIN THE EMPLOYEES AND MAKE THINGS MORE ORGANISED.

Awesome airport, duty free shops were good. Before gates open , there were no much available place to sit and wait. I am not sure to use Wi-Fi , we need to queue and scan passport, I think that could be avoided by providing free WiFi via other alternate.

Excellent airport, clean, friendly and easy to navigate!

Muscat is a great place. Oman is a great country. For the country to prosper it has to have a better airport. While the people are friendly immigration clearence is fast the departure lounge can improve further.

I RAGHU Kondatasula along with my daughter Vanditha Kondatasula travelling from Hyderabad to Toronto - Hyderabad-Muscat-Frankfurt-toronto.
Landed at Muscat international airport around 9.20pm ( local time)...our connecting flight to Frankfurt is at 2.35am...
It s surprising to note , NO SEATS ARE AVAILABLE at the airport to sit.,,and I have seen many passengers are sitting/sleeping on the floor, giving a Picture of RAILWAY STATIONS....
The gate no. was announced at 11.35pm...and at the gate too...the situation is SAME, passengers are either sitting on floor or sleeping, and most of them are moving around. I find LOUNGE at the gates, but with hardly 10-12 chairs in it, and all the LOUNGE are filled with passengers.
I made a decision NOT TO FLY OVER MUSCAT, and OMAN AIRLINES...

Had a quick transit time but loved the interior design and swift transit process

Modern and clean airport that is well suited for long transfer waiting. Center of departure area contains most of the duty free shops and a food court. Some seating is available here but is occupied most of the time. There are three gate hallways (A,B,C) with limited number of benches (types shown bellow). These are mostly empty and good for budget resting. During our first visit there was one more type of benches, those were really comfy and good for sleeping. I am not sure wether is their absence temporary or permanent. There are also some public lounges (also shown bellow) and in case you don't care about a budget that much private lounge and even a hotel.

Excellent airport with leading types of facilities and amenities. However, the washrooms were basic, prayer room had no means for ablution, I found some people sleeping there too.
All in all the design was good in a unique way. It looked small but has several lounges surrounded by eatries and shops to buy from. I liked he vintage across they had posted there for tourists attraction.

This is my first flight after the new airport launched, I was amazed with the new born airport in all details and specification.
Spacious, clean, romantic, comfortable and modern, free zone area was wonderful and you can spend a lot of time hanging up their but don't miss your flight.
The omani touch can be sensed everywhere, through the nice paints and boards, music and furniture's.
I didn't like the long distance between the markets area (cafes, restaurants...) and the gates, so if i am at the gate waiting the opening time, and i have like 15 to 20 minutes to go i won't risk leaving the gate for a cup of coffee or else, it may put me in troubles.

They must add a few more good restaurants, not junky and fast food, this is very important for passengers taking in considerations there will be a lot of nationalities were some of them didn't accept junky and bad food such as Macdonald and KFC.

Once arriving the airport it didn't take much time to report at the gate, bording, emigration, inspection, and walk through the free zone, around 20 min maximum.

Praying rooms were too small, i didn't understand why they didn't make it bigger to contain more prayers, there's a lot of spaces available all around

Every thing you think you might needs if very easy to find, help staff were everywhere.

it was a nice experience to be a flyer on the day of inauguration and to be warm welcomed. Talking about the airport, I could explore just little to the all new version of muscat international airport through the travellators/moving walkways and also noticed fellows passengers experiencing and enjoying moving in stationary mode next their were huge lounge to the left and right side at the end of walkways may be passenger's waiting area and lots and lots of lighting increasing its grandeur. At every distance there were customers support personal guiding passengers to their relevant counters. Support team were extremely polite humble and supportive ..tremendous hospitality by Omanis. Although very big in area will take time to adjust with parking thing and rest is fine

Absolutely zero. It feels like a third world airport. I dare not even speak of the toilets which are filthy.

manchester take note. this is how to do an airport. clean, spacious, friendly efficient staff and wonderfully quiet, no unruly children and half-cut parents at 7am here. the architecture is lovely too with a lot of islamic influences in the design. even if there's a long transfer, the relaxing vibe of the place makes it no problem

New, modern and well designed airport, similar to all the international airports despite its smaller traffic. It offers all the basic required facilities and exceeds to luxury with some outstanding amenities. Free WiFi. Prices well above average. Cards and all the basic currencies accepted.

Have been using this airport for eight months and it is world class airport. I am grateful to the airport authorities and all the people who work there for making this airport the success it is. A bright shining star for Oman, its people and visitors.

We finally have a proper airport. Hope it improves further in future.

There is no water fountains in the airport that I could find. When connecting flights water is what people need. The gate/security wouldnt even let me take through an empty bottle to put drink in on the flight. Very disappointed as I fly into alot of airports and they all allow you to take bottles to fill up and the staff where rude and unhelpful. Once your in side the gate ladies cant gontonthe toilet only means the womens is before the security check where means are the other side. Very poor. The airport might look nice but they are lacking in human rights for water etc. The wifi is free but doesn't let you do video calls on WhatsApp etc which isnt helpful when your trying to get hold of people without getting a big phone bill

Muscat's new airport is really nice. First class facilities, good choice of food and shopping, awesome lounge, but not too busy. If you stopover here, don't worry - it's a nice airport.

New airport is kinda trash tbh, its big for no reasons, they should've just slightly upgraded the old one.

Clean fresh new terminal of Muscat international airport. Good places for transit and senior passenger. And lot of duty shops as well.

One of the most beautiful and convenient airport. Washroom facilities are specially top notch.

International airport of great interest. Very modern in desert months. Air conditioning open, free wifi internet service for 4 hours, after which you register with a phone number or a document.
Nice and that is all green mochet floor with white dots, very elegant, large spaces, and very clean.
With this type of insulation floor and also acoustic, so the spaces are not noisy.
Perfect cleaning even on a bath and health service.
Wifi goes to 40 downloads and 20 uploads, so very good.

Services are not good, people waiting in lines 3 to 4 hours......disaster

Muscat International Airport is qualified to receive the largest aircraft in the world.The runway, which is located four kilometers long and 75 meters wide can accommodate huge aircraft with the provision of private halls and corridors at the airport to accommodate the nature of the large numbers of passengers per flight.

The capacity of the airport project is 12 million passengers annually. The current total area of the terminal building is about 580 thousand square meters and consists of three suites and a central area in addition to three main entrances leading to these suites and lounges for arrivals and departures of VIPs.

This is just WOW!!! Amazing facilities available for disabled and senior citizens beautiful garden with greenery various e games facilities available. Prayer room available. Electronic shopping is amazing. Great stuff. Delicious food available for all. I truly love this airport.

Small considering it is the main airport for the capital city and the country. A new airport is being built which will replace this one.

More than wonderful, there are temporary parking spaces, short term parking and long term parking.

Muscat airport is beautiful and clean but some immigration officers are so rude and ignorant that I do not want to come back to this report....!
