This venue is really big and works well especially for the ideal home Xmas show.
The lower level covers a lot of space and just walking around can easily take an hour if you want to check all the stalls.
The upper level had smaller space towards the end of the building and all around the side of the main hall.
The show was very busy so at times feel too crowded and difficult to move around.
Overall a good experience but you do feel the building is getting a bit tired.
Great space for events, but lack of toilet facilities and at m's is an issue. Also gets very hot, no air con!
Attended many conventions here over the past few years and it's my favourite venue for them in London! Plenty of space and tube station right outside
Show was fantastic, venue was great but the staff were TERRIBLE. They lost two of our coats and let random member of the public into the cloakroom to find their coats. Then on leaving, a showsec steward was shouting at a group of children for being stood outside on a public path, not near any doors or fire exits, that were getting a photo with the event poster, he made the children cry and shouted "I love my job"
Lots of choices and plenty to see, though staff were clueless about the building, couldnt find a hall due to map being drawn wrong.
Have you to many entrances if you are an exhibitor but this place is great for every other reason excellent for large conventions and if you're visiting convention or show or some sort, you won't be disappointed. Bit of a pain to get to if you're from North of London though.
Actually it a big area which been use for exhibition. The time I were there was to look for furniture and I got the latest design
Good venue and it is possible to park on the roads behind on the metres
Too old to hold events here any longer. London needs a bigger and more modern events hall. As it was raining outside the glass roof in the National hall was leaking onto our booth and numerous other vendors.
Could be so much better if the organisers could be arsed!
Very good day. Plenty to see and lots of demonstrations. Well worth going to.
It's big! It's got a lot in it. Some facilities are ok...some are not.
It does what it has to do.
Have been here on a few occasions to attend the Travel Technology Europe fair. Convenient location, clean toilets, decent grub.
Would greatly benefit visitors if more seated areas were available. When walking around the exhibits all day it is a long time without somewhere to rest and to take stock. Very expensive food outlets
An absolute barn of a venue, try not rely on the on site vendors for food, or is more extortionate than the motorway services
A nice old building with full of light due to the glass ceiling. It has very good facilities, restaurants and coffee places for exhibitions. Very central, compared to the other exhibition centres.
Lovely stuff for Christmas, all kinds food and drinks. Plus thing for your pets as well
Traditional conference venue, bit dated these days but they work hard to keep it as modern as possible. Great to visit the Great British Beer Festival at least once.
Very spacious venue. #LFCC was a great event. Does need eateries that are not so overpriced. Would recommend taking own food and drink.
Great venue. I went to the ideal home show. Perfect space for it. Tricky to get to on public transport though.
Easy to get to. Outside congestion zone so no fee. Train station right next to entrance.
So hard to get into, although we had a table reserved, we had to stand in the queue in cold and rain for like half an hour without moving (been told if you get here within half an hour of your reservation time you don t need to wait, if it s more (like 35 mins) you have to line up just like the others, if you re late don t bother! Specially on weekends)
I love this place. I have lots of happy memories. Food and drinks are very expensive, take your own or go out as options are limited and there's very little seating. There are multiple entrances so check which one you need before arriving, to save yourself a long walk.
Fantastic events areana
Located in central London this event venue is one of the best in the south.
Decent food outlets and venue of choice for the Christmas Horse and Dog competition held every December.
Old but still a great venue although very warm inside must improve air conditioning
Had a great time exhibiting Little Hearts Muesli. The only cereal snack with real fruit pieces. Packed the beta glucan that reduce cholesterol. #littleheartsmuesli #sfff19
Was here for walker stalker con! Amazing experience! Me and my Partner loved it!
Easy to get to. Good facilities. Ideal home show was a good day out.
Awesome expo. Good facilities warm relaxed and seating available. Truly enjoyed this informative expo with knowledgable speakers.
The Travel, Art , Antiques & Christmas Fair was excellent & well worth visiting. Maybe entering the exhibition should be made through a more convenient entrance instead of having to make a long journey round the complex to do so.
Ok...when you get there but getting there is another story.
Nice venue for Ideal Home Show not too big but wasn't cramped. Easy to get to from the station
There for the ideal home show. Great venue and plenty of toilets
I love this historic building and the exhibitions. Ideal home xmas had put me on the mood!
Got a great Abel & Cole deal at the Eat & Drink Festival. The festivals are really worthwhile for deals, often upto 50%. A range of eateries (non-chains) and associated products were on offer. The Ideal Home Show (entrance free for ED goers) was not as exciting.
Great environment, lots of space, nice and airy environment. But it has the accoustic characteristics of a train station.
Was exhibiting at the Best You Expo Feb2018. Very nice staff even the security staff. If you haven't done an exhibition before I recommend this venue as very central and easy reach
Went there for the event Pure. Well organised. The space between the stand are well designed giving the possibility to have a good time while you look for the trend in the fashion.
I've been here twice for walking dead convention. The staff are always so friendly as my dad is disabled. Easy parking and a very accessible venue for disabled people
Great to attend IMATS in a wonderful building. Top tip when heading back to the west end, hop on the number 9 bus! Amazing artists all under one roof.
Visited the home exhibition. Big disappointment its not like the way used to be. What the hair styling and makeup boot's has anything to do with the home...
Great venue for events. Plenty space for what your need. I found the place to get a bit hot and stuffy once it got crowded with guests
Well laid out exhibition centre. Good facilities. Easy to get to.
Attended an event here and the security were amazing. There were a lot of people and it was very hot, I started to panic and they sat me down, talked to me about the event and looked after me so well I stayed about an hour with them.
Easy to get to, but hard to find the right entrance and the food and drink is not great for the price
Attended The Great British Beer Festival 2016 ans it was absolutely amazing! I'd recommend to anyone who like beer, ale and cider to go.
Massive space for events and although it was a little hard to find the entrance, it was a great night and my friend won his charity fight. Great environment
I visited Olympia for the 'Ideal Home Show' It was a nice experience. There was lots of Stalls to see selling different things. I was also working in a section doing Manicure treatments representing for my college.. London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT).
Huge venue. Went here for the CAMRA great British beer festival (2015 and 2016). The place is quite cavernous but designed to get people in and out smoothly. There is also an office here that Queen Victoria's son and heir used to meet his mistresses. Fairly easy access via underground stations and overground line.
Visited for a concert and unfortunately was disappointed by venue. Fortunately performance was fantastic, however venue was somewhat disappointing for such. People standing towards back of venue had a hard time viewing the stage - luckily i was near front and tall so this wasn't an issue. Screens were also far too small to see further back.
Awful - hundreds of people left out in torrential rain because the selfish security staff couldn't be arsed to let people in on-time. Zero empathy and should not be in the service industry. Shame on you all :(
Great French property show in January (with French market) and in May.
Just come from the London film and comic con 2919.
The whole event was really well organised and there were no hold ups getting in. This helped by us getting the diamond passes the day before. This was a really was a good idea by the organisers.
As usual there were a lot of big names there so there were lots of great people walking round dressed as their hero s. it never fails to amaze me the details everyone goes to to match their particular idol. Everyone deserves a bow for this as it makes the whole day a great experience.
It was a bit hot in the halls but it is July so it is what to be expected. We met Bernard Cribbins and what a gent he is, he was there with his wife and was very popular.
There was a cool silent auction for some great collectible items, I was lucky to win two of these so this was a bonus to the day.
Everyone was chilled and security were helpful along with the staff. Considering all the staff are volunteers they do a great job dealing with so many people in a friendly manner.
I would recommend anyone to visit this event at Olympia as there is plenty of space and the architecture of the building is still a pleasure to see.
I work here. It's a pile of dog poo. The building will be getting knocked down to make apartments soon so I'll not have to traipse around the whole building to get to a certain entrance. It's a badly designed Exhibition centre and the built More
At the superb London Book Fair and really enjoying the atmosphere here.
Huge place ideal for concerts and events. Enjoyed my time there.
Good exhibition space but can get very warm (visited on several occasions over the years). May be worth bearing in mind!
Nice big venue. Loved the airy central building with the skylight. Bathrooms were small and hidden away. Made getting there and back during breaks difficult. Well heated during a darned cold winter. Better facilities for teaching individual classes without noise are needed. Overall though, very nice venue.
Awesome day out with the kids, friends etc. Large areas for children to run around plus free drinking areas to fill up your bottle.
Went to the great British beer festival. The was an excellent venue with plenty of space to move around and plenty of seating. Not the easiest to get to.
Love my annual freebie visit to the Ideal Home specially at Christmas hoping to pick up a bargain or two. Easy to get there by transport trains going regularly so no long waits getting there
Olympia is a good venue when you eventually get there. We all know that the train service is anything but ideal. Long waits on the way there, easier and quicker getting back.
Ideal home show. Really pleasant day. Beautiful furniture displays at reasonable show prices. Everything was clean and well spaced. Units had a good space between them and the Cafe was delightful. A little bit pricey but so comfortable, no queuing and good waiter service.
Awesome!
I've been in there for an event and I was amazed how big is it. Is a clean area and tidy inside. You can reach easily the place by Overgroung and in just couple of minutes you reach the main door. The place is more for events and you can find the time table for the entire month and the next month outside.
Very nice place for exhibition. Well organised. Lovely food. Would recommend.
Very hot when the LFCC was on and there was no where to sit. Food is expensive I think I will go for a meal deal at Tesco.
Meeting my favourite Drag queens, at Drag World was fabulous, but the event is screaming out for some glamour and glitz, trying to buy merchandise was hard work at times, and there wasn't enough chill out areas with seats.
First time to Olympia and also 'Ideal Home Show Christmas' finding free tickets online.
Train from Clapham to Olympia. Venue entrance is by the station so easily accessible to all.
About a third of ground floor had Christmas market - ideas, decorations, 4 rooms decked out in different styles. Carol singers gave it a seasonal mood. Had expected more ?
Mainly present ideas, whisky tasting, dog beds, kitchen gadgets, beds, cosmetics, Middle Eastern perfumes, garden tropical bars, baths, pinball machines...... demonstrations of products given along the balcony, off which was the massive hot food hall which was very busy, seating a premium with many standing. Fast food of every kind. (Had taken a pack up to save on food costs and calories.) Had to queue for the ladies - so what's new??? - but they went quite quickly.
Spent 5.5 hours there. Good day out for free venue.
Very good show with knowledgeable people. Can't wait for the next one. The building is huge!
Nice event space in the just west of the city. Need to get to via district line. (There is a pozza express on site)
Olympia is a great place to visit. It feels a bit Victorian, a bit like going back in time no matter what exhibition you are visiting.
Parking is a bit of a nightmare. It's probably better to travel by public transport, but if you do need to go by car I would recommend booking a parking spot, as we arrived later in the day and the onsite parking was completely full.
Attended Olympia for a Beer Festival and have also been to the Ideal Home show that also takes place here. Very good location and security was great and made you feel comfortable on entry.
Hyper Japan event venue, very small this year but met friends which was great!
I came to my first exhibition here in the seventies and have been many times since. The building has far more character than the NEC or ExCel and the staff are more friendly and helpful. Great transport links as well. The reason I have dropped a mark is that all events now seem to have a percentage of irrelevant and unrelated stands!
One of London's popular venues for conferences, exhibitions and events.
Great venue for exhibitions, been lucky enough to attend here for trade shows both as a visitor & an exhibitor over the years, so can attest to its charms from both sides.
Obviously food outlets are run from a commercial aspect, so prepare to dent your credit card when stopping for a coffee / snack or have a spare morgage to hand if you choose to buy lunch!
Easy enough to get to via public transport.
Other drink / food / booze establishments nearby within a five minute walk should your wallet not be bottomless!
