We spent a weekend trip to Riga here and it was a great choice. The Hotel is very central, it takes like 5 minutes to get to the most important places.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful, everything worked out flawlessly, even when we had to check out at 6.a.m. we were greeted by a friendly employee!

The hotel itself is quite old, so it has that specific smell. It's not bad and I personally don't mind, I just think it's not everyone's cup of tea. Our room was clean and quiet, you can barely hear anything that happens outside of the room. Internet connection by the way works well.
When we came back in the afternoon and stayed in our room to rest for a while they even called our room to make sure if they can send in the cleaning staff or not, which I found very accommodating!

The most pleasant surprise however was the breakfast:
Not only were there a lot of different options to choose from in general, even as a vegan I could enjoy my breakfast! There were several kinds of fruit (apples, oranges, pears, even persimon!), some veggies and the black bread is to die for! Also, they make you coffee or tea of your choice and even offered freshly made lemon water.
Of course, there are many non-vegan options, classic ones like sausages, egg, muesli/cornflakes, but also other stuff which you can see on the photos.

In general I can definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Good hotel, located in the historical center of the city of Riga, so it is very close to the main attractions of the city, which is covered on foot. Similar prices to other hotels in the area ...

A great place to stay in a middle of the old city, the one and only issue is that there are no AC units since the building is old and not allowed to be drilled or so... but, it bothers for only two days a year, so it's ok

Very nice, small hotel. Quiet location in the old town. Very clean, equipment is down to earth. is friendly and accommodating. Interior in art-deco style. Restaurant with a nice fireplace. Ceilings and walls are a bit thin. The whole house is peppered with beautiful paintings by local artists. The Dalai Lama was already here.

Very central, large room but a bit "old". The toilet and shower were ok but a bit tedious and smelled a little mold / damp. The staff were really nice and helpful. The breakfast was ok.
The situation outweighed the standard.

Set in a fairly quiet street in the middle of old town, we found it no problem to have the windows open for the whole night. There was a little fan in the room which was a lifesaver due to the high temperatures during our stay. The hotel has limited services, however staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average and the coffee was terrible. But the location makes it worthwhile with almost everything within walking distance and it being tucked away in a quiet street. Rooms were large, bathroom was small but adequate. Taxi booking service from the airport to the hotel was also very good and the taxi waited although our flight was delayed.

Excellent mini-hotel, convenient location, good rooms - mini-fridge, everything you need in the bathroom, excellent, tasty breakfast and special thanks to very friendly staff.

Great hotel. Conveniently located in the Old Town, not far from the Bremen Town Musicians. Decorated in the old style, the courtyard deserves special attention and inspection. The room is clean and comfortable, cleaned every day. Breakfast buffet served in an Italian restaurant. For the Russians, it will be a big surprise to find out what white coffee is. All perfectly! Thank you for your hospitality.

Nice small and quiet clean and large rooms, the only bad thing is that it does not have a lift for people with mobility problems otherwise it may be uncomfortable although breakfast is not the best

Very dissapointed in this.
Had a booking for 2 nights and 2 persons. Had to cancel half an hour or hour after the cancellation time was over. Didnt make it in time.
Okay, BUT the fee was 84.50 when the canceled amount was 150 (or something like that).
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT????

I will leave 1 star + I will tell EVERYBODY that this site and that particular hotel are just scammers.

And absolutely NOBODY answers You on booking.com or from the hotel. So "exemplary" client service...

Overpriced for what you get, rooms are not great, location is very good and stuff is super kind

The floor of the hotel is very squeaky. We got the number next to the stairs. In the morning you will hear everyone passing by. And in the room itself, when one gets up earlier, he raises another sleeper on the floor.

No AC. No lift. Close to everything. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Rather poor breakfast even though seemingly everything is there.

Perfect location in the old town !! A nice little hotel, in a surprisingly quiet location, is in such a narrow alley that there are no cars and tourists wander mainly on other streets. It would have been really necessary to have air conditioning (+30 degrees), but fortunately there is a throughput and a fan moving the air.

This is a small hotel with an excellent location in the Riga Old Town, just steps away from the most famous sights. People at the front desk have a really good knowledge of English. If you're driving, ask about the small lot on the nearest corner, which is private but can be arranged for about 20 /night. Good buffet breakfast with usual Latvian fare. Nice rooms.

Not sure why this hotel is 4 stars - unfriendly service, the rooms are quite old, no real amenities in the hotel (even the restaurant is not open throughout the day), it is loud and uncomfortable. No value for money whatsoever, my advice would be to go elsewhere, for this price, you can certainly find a better hotel.

Negatives:

- Our room (a superior) was not very comfortable at all - especially the bed

- Most rooms look towards an inner courtyard - the courtyard is nice and a great place to sit down. However, this also makes it difficult to rest in your room as you can hear virtually everything that is happening in the courtyard. Also, keeping your window open is not a great idea, because all the cigarette smoke from the courtyard is coming in.

- Staff are not very friendly (especially in the restaurant)

- Breakfast is terrible - everything was cold and/ or dry

- Expensive for what is being offered

Positives:

- The only thing that is good about this hotel is its location - indeed, quite conveniently located in the Old Town of Riga, close to various tourist spots

Great location in Riga Old Town. It s close to the centre, train station and the bus station. The bed was comfortable and overall a good room for a fair price. The breakfast was good. The hostel staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Small cozy hotel in the very center of "old Riga". Walking distance to all places of the old city. A spacious and comfortable room with a large LED TV, there are programs in Russian.
Lived in a room on the ground floor with an entrance and windows to a small and quiet courtyard with flowers and a fountain. There are tables and chairs, you can drink coffee or wine right next to the room, but on the street.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Hearty and varied breakfast in the restaurant.
Minor disadvantages include the lack of air conditioning. Yes, we all understand, the old city, the split system cannot be brought out to the facade, but come on, they sell the same independent systems that can be installed in the room.
Not yet very comfortable and modern shower. It could have been made more modern and more comfortable.
But still, very good.

Staying in this hotel was amazing. Only one minute walk from almost every site in the old city. Hotel is very small, quiet, warm and friendly. The rooms are very clean very nice and very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing there is a lot variety of good loyal lady is making.the staff member amazing, young and nice people. There is no doubt that this hotel improve my staying in Riga. The hotel is small, only two floors so they don't have an elevator. Very very recommended place. Thank you!

Great location, nice rooms, lovely breakfasts. Inside is very atmospheric).

When you first approach the hotel down a cobbled street in the heart of Old Town it looks old and quaint. The lobby and common areas also add to this feeling.

Unfortunately the rest was mediocre. The bedroom and bathroom were nothing special and didn't feel anything like as cozy as the rest of the hotel. There's quite a bit of noise at night from people passing the street below even with the windows closed.

Breakfast was also disappointing when we got there at 9:30 there was no juice, milk, or hot meat items left. The waiter brought out an egg each and that was it with just some cold meat and cheese remaining. Overall the hotel wasn't terrible but we would try something else in future.

A nice hotel with an equally nice setting. It has an authentic feel to it. Every was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Only point of criticism is that the bathroom was a bit small. Overall very good quality for its price.
