I went in for an auto loan and I was treated very fairly during that transaction. I even got to meet one of the underwriters who made the decision to loan me the money and the rate. I was able to finance the car as well as roll in some of my higher interest debt to get on the road to paying those off. All in all a great experience and I opened up a savings and checking account while I was there and will be moving all of my banking here.

Staff was helpful in helping me securing a car loan. However, for some reason they cannot seem to get it together to process my payment correctly every single month. I have emailed my loan representative NUMEROUS times with no response. I called as soon as I got my first late notice and the woman told me that they had processed it into my checking account although my car loan number is in the memo. She instructed me to write CAR LOAN into the memo as well so they knew to process it that way. I did as instructed. I STILL RECEIVE LATE PAYMENTS EVERY MONTH even though it is withdrawn from my bank account an entire week early to avoid exactly this happening. It is absurd and I m disgusted that a financial institution who s job it is to process these payments simply isn t doing that. Would not recommend for a loan. Will be taking my business elsewhere.
I took the needed information to change beneficiaries on my accounts between Christmas and New Years. I was told the senior employees were off for the holiday and one of them would get back with me. Today is Feb. 27 and I have still not heard a word. Just now I tried calling but the phone menu keeps recycling itself after I pushed for an option.
I have banked with OHCU for over 15 years specifically the Greenbrier Branch. When I opened my account they had me add a beneficiary to the account and it came with a policy for $2,000. My husband named me his beneficiary as I did him when opening our account. Upon his passing they knew nothing of the beneficiary or the insurance policy and allowed another family member to close his account. When my grandfather passed away same thing the person he had requested to be as his beneficiary disappeared off his account and another family member closed the account. In my opinion it is who reaches the bank first seems to be the ones to settle the account and not the one that the account holder had appointed. We were in office when opening all said accounts and know who was appointed to all accounts in this review. Recently my father passed and had an account with OHCU. The process was nothing but a headache when we were trying to close his account. We spoke with countless people, were given the run around repeatedly, and were told that someone else was on the account and needed to call in. When the said person called in they said they didn't see their name but the initial caller needed to call in as they were the one on the account. We repeated this for 2 weeks. DO NOT open an account here and if you have a current account call and verify if and who your beneficiaries are and the insurance policy upon opening your account. We have called the insurance policy company with the provided information that was mailed to us when the account was opened and they cannot find his account. DO NOT purchase life insurance through them or their vendors.
I've called numerous times and I get the recording and every time you push up number or a button that they recommend you can't get ahold of anyone it just keeps repeating things over and over I can't get a hold to talk to anybody
Been with this bank a while and I had to get my debit card replaced after it went missing at the movies. They charged me 7 bucks to get this cheesy looking card that is flat out embarrassing to use and when I spoke with a manager she could careless how I felt. Then another thing they do is charge you 2 bucks to move money from your savings but this too is done we re you get ripped off. This bank is inconvenient at every turn...not many locations, checks take forever to clear, no atms oh and if you use the atm for a deposit don t plan on it being available for a week no matter what you put in also the atm rate is beyond ridiculous. This bank is just a No.
I like this place, it's very easy to understand. They have a nice pace inside when you do your transactions, and you can work with the same employee week in and week out. The employees know you, they know your accounts, they know how you like your transactions handled, etc. You can build a relationship with everyone. It's quality service.
Great bank with many awesome benefits. I have stopped using big banks since the Mortgage Crisis in 2008 and have exclusively used Credit Unions ever since. This is the 3rd CU I have opened an account with and the associate was very helpful and knowledgeable.
