Very nice classic hotel with acceptanally attentive staff and all amenities

I had the pleasure of staying for the 2nd time at the hotel and this time for a stay of 3 nights

The service has been impeccable. The reception staff Are extremely friendly, especially Anais Peron and Briangna B who went above and beyond to make my stay a very pleasant one

Courtesy on reception to give me a royal suite with royal treatment. My every wish was met even when I asked if I could order fricassee octopus, which was not on the menu, the waiter served me as a ceviche (excellent) as a courtesy of the house

Clean, modern, quiet room

Excellent place, but some of the new rooms have inconveniences of use for the clients ...

It is a very cozy place. From the reception to the buttons, they treat you with great respect. I loved.

It is in astonishing great conditions, where every detail has been carefully crafted for the delight of everyone who stays at the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful with briland trerea in the back garfen. One of the best hotel bed experience ever...super comfortable. The staff is nice and friendly...though forgetful at times. The main restaurant menu is a bit lacking and can use some help. Definitely my go-to hotel in Dominican Republic.

This is special and classy place. You feel like in Connery's Bond movie. Colonial style and traditions meets western standard. I recommend this place for business travelers same way like for young couples like us.
Garden is beautiful and charming. You can easily spend half of day with tasty local rum in your hand Stuff are really professional and knows all good manners.
Breakfasts for 15USD per person are not cheap, but i recommend it. Its worth of any cent, because is full of really quality food

Just when the whole world is suffering from a pandemic that was generated precisely by human intervention with nature, it seems that absurdly some people and businesses still do not learn the lesson of behavior and its result.

In times when only 9% of the plastics thrown away in the world are being recycled; where 8 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans slowly decomposing and poisoning marine wildlife and our food sources, and while vast amounts of chemical liquids from detergents used to wash towels and clothes leak into underground sources of water and affect everything that grows on earth, the hotel the ambassador follows irresponsible behavior to respect, as if it had never learned of the seriousness of the crisis and the daily impacts of the same behavior.

At best, these behaviors are the result of a lack of awareness and information, and at worst - a lack of importance and a basic sense of responsibility:

1. The hotel does not provide a reusable jug in common areas so that guests can fill their own water without having to forcefully use the single-use plastic bottles that are so popular and available from the hotel.

2. In the SPA, where there is a jug, they only offer single-use plastic vacuums.

3. The hotel does not provide the guest with the option of asking not to change their towels every time they clean the room (in my case I left an impromptu note asking for it, and even so it was not respected and all my towels were completely changed during cleaning of the room).

4. Although I requested not to use plastic bags to return my laundry, it was returned with so many plastic bags that almost every piece of clothing was wrapped with this disposable, non-recyclable and polluting material.

It is worth mentioning that once I have complained to the hotel reception about these issues with saying that I will leave the hotel if it is not respected, they have already begun to respect my requests.
However, regardless of my experience and personal point of view, these behaviors do not go with the responsibility and attitude that are so required and expected of businesses such as the ambassador hotel that have so much impact on the environment and the well-being of all humans and other living things.

Hopefully, the hotel and its chain will mature and improve these aspects for the good of all (occupants, workers, hotel owners and everyone else) and that at least allow ecological care alternatives to people who are aware and respectable. in this aspect.

This hotel is one of the best there in the area, since it is easily accessible and is in a privileged area, at its entrance are the Ambassador gardens, where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants, bars and something more .

Hotel located in the heart of the City of Santo Domingo, Capital of the Dominican Republic, good place for events, and lodging

This hotel is an oasis within the city, it is located in a good sector. Comfortable rooms, newly remodeled. Good restaurants, good breakfast.

Incredible! I received a call at 22:15 tonight (19 March 2021) - insisting that I sign a restaurant Bill right away. The restaurant apparently gave me the incomplete Bill and I must sign for the DOP 2,000 right now. It is such a big deal they phoned three times. I mean - seriously - there is obviously no trust in guests and definitely no respect for guests trying to sleep - the Bill needs to get signed is more important.

Excellent service all around clean and big hotel not too expensive just average prices per night I loved the 24 hr room service the amenities the front desk was very accommodating quick check in rooms are spacious super clean comfy beds they supply robes and slippers theres also a casino the place is very safe I had an excellent experience here in Santo Domingo

The hotel is wonderful. Super modern and spacious room. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast on the terrace was very well attended by Danerbys and Juan de la Rosa and in general by all the hotel staff. The pool is very quiet and pleasant. I will be back!!!!

Ideal for tourist stay because good location but also for work meetings

I enjoy my time at the El Embajador. The room was clean and elegant. The service was 5 stars. We did have an issue with the shower, but it was handled quickly. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

Good treatment, the only thing is that I was in an activity and did not reach the waiters therefore we stayed without drinking or water.

It is undergoing renovations and may improve but still maintains much of its structure from decades ago.

Worst terrible customer service, my friend and I arrived around 3 o clock to reserve a room for both of us, and they wouldn t talk to us at the lobby and would tell us to wait for no reason and what was really wrong on their part was that even us being told to wait they would attend other people, we got really upset and left. Wouldn t recommend, it s a matter of luck to get a room in this place apparently
