I had a great time on the slopes... The staff however was terrible! Customer service was non existent. My wife had an issue while snowboarding and wanted to switch to ski. Was told that we would have to pay to rent them even though snowboarding gear was more expensive! When I went to guest relations they didn't care at all. I paid and went on to try to salvage our trip. My wife wiped out on her skis and they didn't pop off and almost broke her ankle.

It is a small family leisure park, surrounded by trees. Quaint place to kilometers of the big resorts of the Alps. For some attractions, prices are high, less for others. The organization is, as can be expected, millimeter.

I wasn't expecting a lot but this was disappointing. The highlight was the lift ride. Dont waste your time on that tourist trap. There was no snow but there was beer... flat beer but beer

What a fun family experience. We enjoyed this from age 6 to 70! There was a lot of things to keep everyone entertained. We will visit again for sure. There was a lot of options in one place. I will make sure to tell my friends and family about this great attraction.

The Tram was fun. Other than that, it was meh. Ate at the Seasons of Ober restaurant. Service was slow, food was overcooked. Got my boys some chicken tenders and they were trash. However, I had some kind of beef/pork/brat Pattie sandwich and it was delicious. This is not a must do for Gatlinburg, but again, the Tram was kinda neat.

Donnie was our pilot a jokester. Ride up a little cramped ( sorta like livestock in a pen ) on the way back down was a lot better could get a nice view of Gatlinburg where the forest was on fire..

We went MLK weekend and they were packed. Still the staff was friendly and helpful. Our ski instructor (I forget her name) was very patient even though she was obviously born on skis. Everyone had a blast.

This place is a must when in Gatlinburg. Something for everyone at the top. Take the tram or drive (if you dare). Food, entertainment, ice rink, shops, and so much more. Great place to spend the afternoon. You'll love it.

The coaster is fun and a reasonable price. Tubing sells out quick and isn't that much fun for adults, if you want try snow boarding it's a minimum $69 for 1 run. If it's your first time in the snow I guess it's worth it but for those who have seen and been around snow I just don't see it being worth it as much.

Employees are very unfriendly, except for the Tram operators; and we were treated badly at the Tramway Gifts. We will not be back to ride again and are very dissatisfied for the money that we spent here.

Ober Gatlinburg is not worth the money. Paid quite a bit to go up on the tram, which was pretty neat, but at the top, we just reached disappointment. Half the things the kids wanted to do were closed because of possible rain. (It was blue skies and sunny.) The coaster was open. We did that, and was disappointed because after a LONG wait. If you get stuck behind someone who chooses to go slow, the coaster car beeps and stops you VERY abruptly if you get too close. Not many stores, and the whole place looks outdated and could use a refresh. One store we were interested in was closed with a sign that they d be back 15 minutes later, and an hour later was still closed. If you re considering Ober Gatlinburg, I d reconsider and spend my money elsewhere. There are so many other fun and interesting things to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that ARE worth the investment.

There is a lot to do here...if you brought kids. Overall, it felt like a tourist trap attempting to emulate German/Swiss culture. Could be great if you've never been to Germany or Switzerland though.

Fun to watch the families out on the ice and shopping. Great atmosphere and beautiful tram ride up to get to the top. The attractions at the top were lots of fun I totally suggest the ski mountain coaster. Fun easy to maneuver and you can travel at your own speed. Very enjoyable even for those who don't like roller coasters.

If you are looking at the chair lifts in Gatlinburg, TN then I would highly suggest to go to Anakeesta. Ober had a almost run down feeling to it. Maybe it is better in the winter when you can do the skiing but we went in April and it was not great. The view at the top of the mountain was amazing but that is just good placement. The food stand really only had fudge, ice cream, or pretzels. I got a pretzel and he just put it in the microwave right there in front of me and it was chewy and rubber feeling, I could not eat it. The zoo's animals were cute to look at but mostly just left you feeling sad because they look so depressed in there.

The drawback to having fun here is the long wait. We got there around 930 am. Had to wait in line 45 minutes to get tickets to go up, then wait in line 3 hrs to ride to the top. Then another hr. to get outfitted for the skiing (there were 2 adults and 3 children, ages 8 & 9) Then they waited almost an hour for the instructor. This didn't leave them enough time to enjoy skiing before they closed; so they didn't get to enjoy the skating. Then the not as long wait, but still long, to go back down. My eight yr. old grandson did not enjoy this at all. I would recommend going as early as possible. Find out when they open and get there either 30 min. before or as they open. You can buy tickets on line, but there are fees. Check for discounts with the hotel you're staying at.

Fun!!

Scenic chairlift is amazing and there is a blue Grass band at the top. Probably one of the best value amusents in the area. If you want to save $15 a person do NOT take the arrival tramway to get there. You can easily drive up ski mountain road and it only costs $8 to park all day.

Pricey. Not good value for money but you can play it smart. You can drive up to where the trolley takes you. There is a parking fee of $8 atleast when I visited. Kids 4 and under are free which worked out great for me as all I had to do was buy one adult band and was able to take kids. Adults should buy individual tickets for chair lift which is the only ride worth any money for adults. There are some new rides too like mountain rollercoaster but those are sperate tickets anyways and not part of any wrist bands. Like the fact that you can have locker of good size for 2 quarters. Good food options.

This used to be a staple when visiting Gatlinburg but has gone downhill over the past few decades. The tram is unquestionably the best part, and worth the ride. The alpine slide is inexpensive and a good value, as well. The shops at Ober need seriously refreshed, as do most of the vendors and events there. Definitely not a "must-see" by any stretch, but the tram is worth every penny.

I really loved this place, yes it had long lines but they do mention when you buy your tickets to expect a long wait especially on holiday season, so we waited about 1 1/2 hours for the tram to the snowtubing, and the snowtubing was packed which only allowed us to snow tub 4 times in the 90 minutes so that was disappointing since we didn't expect it to be so crowded each slot. Other than that I think is a great place to be

The ride up was pretty, but what was at the top was very outdated. I felt like I had gone back in time. I'm glad I did it but I will never ride it again. They fit over 100 people into the tram going up and it was very crowded and uncomfortable.

Aerial Tramway was truly a fun experience. Rides at the top were closed due to weather, but we were able to ride the mountain coaster before it closed. Beautiful views on the ride down the coaster.

There's plenty of things to do but rude staff all around. Most everyone seemed annoyed to answer a question. There was a couple of nice staff members like the guy at the entrance and the bilingual guy at the ticket counter but most people made faces and seemed annoyed if you even approached them.

I understand all the hype if you are wanting to snowboard, ice skate or tubing, because it is the only place I found around the area. We were not able to go the last couple days because all parking was full before noon and the tram was hours of wait. So this morning we got there before all the spots were taken in the parking lot. Lines are insanely long for 3 mintues of fun. The indoor "mall" part was tiny and not what I was expecting. I expected some better shops but that's okay! Plenty of shops downtown! As soon as you walk in, the place smelt like a dirty locker room. Since there are locker rooms, I suppose that should be expected. Save your money, stay down town, go check out Anakeesta instead! We had a much better time there with the better view, drinks, thinks to do, and company around! Especially if you have kids!

We love the idea of this facility, and even though the facility is a little older, I consider this part of the charm.

However, my husband and I are appalled at the bear habitat and animal exhibits. The animals are obviously stressed...one stood outside of the door and repeatedly tried to go inside for the entire hour we were at the exhibit. The poor squirrel inside was even worse as it was alone in a small dark exhibit just running back and forth on a single piece of wood. It was very upsetting, and honestly if I can figure out who to report this to, i will. As much money as this place makes per year, and with as much space as they have available, if they really care about the animals they would do better. Terrible conditions for all of these animals.

First time adventure with grandkids, rides are geared for kids, however many adults followed along. The best bargain would be the $44.00 ticket, covers about everything, however one can chose to pick their ride.

The kids enjoyed ice skating but the employees are so rude!! We paid very good money to go to this park and I m shocked at the employees! At the alpine slide be prepared to pick up a heavy cart and place it on the track yourself, they wouldn t help my daughter who had a toddler in her hands, and the old lady working the day we went, Gosh she needs to just retire! Completely the rudest lady I have ever meet in my life! Sky coaster was fun but their again just rude, and unhappy employees!
Go to Anakesta, the views are amazing and their staff is incredible!
