Oatlands House - Navarra Venues Review

Attended a wedding at Oatlands House last night. Was pleasantly surprised at the beauty and attention to detail. Manicured grounds, amazing Deck room, pleasant and attentive staff, and amazing food.
A great experience.

Getting in and out for large function is a nightmare. Driveway only wide enough for one way traffic.Poor traffic management with few signs and not lit at night. Security staff are rude and abusive.

Nice location. Slightly small but does the job. Impressive food on most occasions.

I attended a corporate function on a Wednesday night in the The Deck Room. It was beautifully styled in an elegant rustic theme.
There was a buffet of deliciously prepared food which was amazing.The ricotta cannoli were fresh and my personal favourite.
The night was a true delight

We recently visited this beautiful venue and were blown away by the charm of the buildings, and gardens. Even in winter the gardens are beautiful. The staff were very professional and attentive. Good package deal prices too!

Beautiful venue but the service is terrible. I held my wedding there and I hope that noone else makes the same mistake I did. As soon as they have their deposit and you sign the agreement they don't care.
We had a child with a severe peanut allergy, he did not eat the food because on the day they couldnt guarantee it was nut free. I brought in my own napkins because they were going to charge $4pp for coloured linen napkins. I bought my own for $1, and after the wedding they returned only 19 of 100. We wanted to know the dimensions of dancefloor to practice our first dance. All they had to do was go downstairs and measure, which they didnt. Our floor plan included 3 highchairs on one table, they only gave us 1. I had 2 tiers on my cake and requested both cut up as they were different flavours. They only cut up one. They ask you for all this information yet they ignore it and do what they want anyways.
Afew days before the wedding they email my husband and claim we have not paid. What a huge stress that is to querie where all that money went. He tried to call they lady we had been dealing with and she was unavailable. He looked back through bank details and it was all fine, he had even sent them an email to say he had paid and what method, immediately after he paid. About an hour later we recieve an emailed reciept for payment. No apology for accusing us of not paying and putting us through that stress. They just had not done their job properley!
I have tried to complain to navarra venues with zero response. They do not care!

I went to a corporate function in The Deck room two weeks ago and then went to a wedding last week. Both functions were pure amazing!! The staff were very attentive and even remembered who I was from the previous event! I was very impressed with the service, the venue and the food.

Absolutely beautiful place with multiple function rooms. Well maintained garden areas. -1 stair for toilets that are smaller than aeroplane toilets.

Stunning place for weddings and functions. Lots of grassy areas and gardens for an elegant feeling.

Loving the experience so far with Oatlands! They've been so accomodating with everything, and have been willing to make things work for us for where we are at! We've had the most incredible experience with Jennifer, She's been an absolute treasure. Making each step of the process so stress-free and enjoyable! really looking forward to the wedding day. I know its going to be an incredible day!

I think it is the best golf course in the vicinity of Parramatta.

I could not have selected a better reception to celebrate my wedding. Korinne, Ashley and Georgina were amazing to deal with, they made the planning process so easy. The wedding reception was even better than i could have imagined. The food was amazing, no one walked away hungry and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Thank you to the gentleman (im so sorry i forgot your name but you know who you are) who took care of everything during the reception, he made sure we had every thing we needed and didn't stop running around, making sure everything was prefect.

Ladies, please don't make the mistake I did. I expected that since Oatlands was apart of 4 other venues that they would be professional & organised. I was wrong. Firstly the sales lady Stephanie, was lovely. However the event coordinators were not, a month prior to the wedding, emails were not being responded too, then the day of the wedding, I show up with my family to get ready at the venue to find out our bridal suite was not ready, in fact it was dirty, apparently someone was going to rush off to clean up but they never showed up. It was raining that day, so I asked what the wet weather option was since they said they can only tell me that on the day of the wedding (this is when I should ve backed away since every venues should know their wet weather option and be able to show it to you!) and they were still to discuss that, this was at 2.30pm and the ceremony was at 4pm. After this I left everything in the hands of the organised event coordinator well as it turned out, there was no dj on site, they weren t even aware that a dj was meant to be there even though they were providing this! They did not setup the room as per discussions, however the worst of it was the wet weather option that they provided which was to squish all my guests onto the veranda area, where I would ve struggled to walk down with my puffy dress, fortunately the rain cleared up 5 mins to the ceremony and we were moved back to the gazebo. Now at the reception the seating of guests (that I triple checked and even drew diagrams) was muddled up and my parents had their backs to us the entire sit down. The food was terrible, pub food rates 50 x better and this a wedding, you have certain expectations with the quality.. they weren t met. I think the worst part of all is there was another ceremony right after ours that was only a few meters away in the rose gardens who would ve suffered during their own vows due to us celebrating our completed marriage. This is of course the fault of the venue for not stagging the times better At the end of the day, I married the man of my dreams and I was happy with everything, except the venue, if I could redo it again I never would glance twice at Oatlands, take the advice, and do your research on the venues ladies! Your paying a lot of money and your only hoping to do it once. Pick a venue that is organised, that will be with you during the whole process, because Oatlands promised this BUT NEVER DELIVERED ON THIS PROMISE.

Stunning surroundings and facilities where I was able to witness my best friend get married. Was amazing! Fantastic staff!

I just wanted to express my disappointment of the food and service. I was a guest at my cousins wedding. I know she had paid a lot so we were very excited .to start off with I asked for a drink the waiter forgot when I asked again he apologized said he would bring me one he never did. When mains came out I couldn't cut into the meat. So the waiter saw me and said if I would like chicken when he brought me the NEW main. There was no sauce no garnish . Still the chicken was dry. The only good thing was the antipasto player.when it came to desserts. The waiter dropped the dessert on my brother! All in all really appalled at this place. Food and service terrible.

Came here for a wedding lunch reception. Food and decor were all delightful, staff was friendly and helpful. The room that we were in was quite cramped for the 100+ guests though, the seats were basically touching each other (back to back) and there was hardly any space to move around.

It definitely has its charm. Wonderful setting amongst nature.

The team at Oatlands House did an amazing job running our event on the 30th of Novenmber. Of particular note, Georgina and Yianni, whose attention to detail and your ability to work to your best of their ability all of our requests was amazing and really showed on the day. The day ran amazingly and we only received compliments on how well everything was organised and turned out on a beautiful day with beautiful weather in a beautiful venue.

They were kind enough to accomodate our decorators as well to make sure they had enough time to set up as well with the two back to back Navarra events which required significant set ups. They also were thought enough to call ahead to friends of theirs working at our reception venue to make sure we were taken care of.

Thank you so much for everything, it was really a dream and we could not have done it without you. We will be recommending the entire Navarra group to all of our friends and family.

Simply put, Oatlands house is a stunning and very romantic wedding venue that my husband and I adored from the moment we arrived.
Unfortunately the room we wanted we weren t able to fill the capacity and so we had to look elsewhere.
The service and hospitality from the lovely staff was delightful and they made the best coffee too!

Didn't even know this place existed until I attended a wedding reception, its a beautiful hidden gem! We were blown away by the amazing service from the moment we walked onto the premises until the end of the night. Everyone was so kind & accommodating- staff were so approachable with their friendly smiles. They always made sure our glasses were full of wine! Food was immaculate, with meat practically melting off the bone and dessert was tantalizing in presentation and taste. Thank you Oatlands House!

What a gem. I'd heard about the place but never had the opportunity to dine there. The staff are fantastic and the food was delicious.

We got married at Oatlands House on the 2/11/18 and we could not fault the service that we had, Our day went smoothly without any hiccups and I believe that was due to the amount of detail and effort that Oatlands House staff put in to make your day so special. All our guest loved the food and the atmosphere was great.
A special mention to Georgina the event stylist and coordinator, as she was fantastic and helped us so much throughout our planning, all the staff that we dealt with were friendly and professional and would happily recommend them to everyone.

Everything was beautiful. the food was amazing. And the staff members were so helpful and kind during the whole process from showing us around the venue to the wedding day where they took charge and ensured everything went well. They even fixed my dress and veil for me before I walked down the aisle. and having my ceremony, Reception and photo shot all in the one place was so easy.

Very nice place to hold a function or wedding. Heaps of staff to serve you. The food is superior. The grounds are beautifully kept, thus taking photos will turn out great

Beautiful venue. The Deck Room looked spectacular. Professional and obliging staff. Food was delicious. My wedding in September 2015, I could not have been happier with the work and services provided by Oatlands House.

Words cannot describe the ambience, service and tastes we experienced at Oatlands House. 10 out of 10 on all levels. We attended a wedding and found the service was second to none. We are still talking about the cuisine because it was sensational! Ohhh and what a refreshing surprise NOT to have to pay for parking. Job truly well done Oatlands House.

We just wanted to say thank you again for your outstanding service at our daughter Chelsea's Baptism yesterday.
We were disappointed hear that our balloons had popped overnight. Even though it was too late for us to do anything, we were thankful that we received a call out of courtesy to let us know.
It was to our complete shock and delight that we arrived at the Oatlands to see that the team had tracked down the exact same balloons. We were so appreciative that you went above and beyond.
The entire event was beautiful and all the service staff were so accommodating.

Used the venue two weeks ago to get married, and we could not be happier. The garden setting was absolutely wonderful, withe the photo opportunities spectacular. The whole day went off without a hitch and the staff were very accomodating to assist and the meals being very tasty. The in house florest did a wonderful job withe the arrangements. Highly recommended.True perfection.

Went to a wedding on 24th April and everything was great. I wouldn't normally post to say a wedding venue was great but the exception here is that my partner is vegan and we did not RSVP the dietary requirements, however, the guys in the kitchen still managed to put together three amazing vegan courses whilst dealing with the usual chaos that comes with catering a wedding function. Quite a remarkable feat. Apologies for the late review, if you can please track down the kitchen team on that night and give them a huge thanks from Sisi & Nadi.

In late November 2016 we had our Wedding at Oatlands House in the Deck Room and it was incredible. We just wanted thank all that were involved to make our wedding a very special day.

Jennifer was fantastic in the leadup and really helped us in choosing Oatlands. I had my heart set on the deck room the minute I saw it but it was a really tough decision for us, so we appreciated all her patience and understanding.

Annabel was also fantastic in the weeks and months into the leadup to the wedding. It was a slight surprise just how much was required to be done at first but she helped us through it all. We also appreciated her help with the necessary last minute unavoidable changes ensuring they weren't any trouble.

The afternoon was amazing from photos on ground to our exit. The staff were incredible especially our head waiter (sorry I forgot his name) who helped us to ensure the night ran smoothly and his service/professionalism was first class. This included making sure the groomsmen got extra food and the bridesmaids got Moscato (that was prearranged through Annabel). The night was perfect, the food exquisite, staff friendly and professional, overall the night went beyond our wildest expectations.

Thank you so much to all at Oatlands for making our wedding such an incredible day to remember :)

We had our wedding 28th October 2018 and returned for our first anniversary. Our team were most helpful, friendly, professional. We had a brilliant night under the gorgeous chandeliers in the Rebecca Suite. Really it was a perfect wedding.

Had a wedding there. Amazing food, venue is absolutely gorgeous. They missed out on 1 Star for the service, I think they could be better especially given that it's not exactly cheap to host an event there.

I had extremely bad food poisoning from this place, I ended up in hospital because of it. A warning to all future visitors, please do not touch the antipasto platter, the sardines and the olives it all made me so sick and i couldn't stop vomiting for days. Over priced and too busy to deal with any of my own and other peoples complaints from the wedding.
DO NOT GO HERE.

The service by the staff was perfect, food was great and the surprise addition of the fairy lights made me really happy. Everything ran so smoothly and definitely exceeded our expectations.

My daughter Rebecca was married at Oatlands House on the 12th May 2018. What an amazing day and venue. From start to finish, the staff were so helpful. They accommodated all of our requests without any trouble to them. The food was delicious, very generous portions and served quickly without any fuss. Although the weather on the day was quite atrocious, staff went above and beyond in giving us access to rooms so photos could be taken. All in all, I highly recommend Oatlands House as a superb venue for any occasion. I look forward to my sons wedding at Curzon Hall in March 2019 at another Navarra venue.

The food was amazing and everyone raved on about how good the food was and how big the portion sizes were. Everyone we've spoken to had the best time and said how much they loved Oatlands House!

Amazing venue set in spectacular surroundings. The buildings, setting and history of this place adds a real sense of occasion to any function. The management and staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The food was hot, very tasty and came out to 100 guests quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended.

I have been here a couple of times now for work functions & service has always been amazing.

Location is quite central & they have there own parking available on site which is a relief.

Appalled that most of my friends and myself as guests received the worst food poisoning Imaginable! This place should be closely looked at by government health authorities.

Attended this venue for my little sister's wedding. Beautiful inside and out. A very nice wedding venue.

We had our wedding at Oatlands House in November. We initially spoke with Yianni who was exceptional. He answered all of our many questions and went through every fine detail with us and was always happy to take a phone call. Georgina did our styling and everything exceeded our expectations. The Rose Suite looks amazing on its own, but with Georgina s help it was immaculate. We had so many compliments on how good the food was and they catered to dietary needs well. We had some wet weather, but the management was excellent and was able to move our guests well. We organized an MC/DJ through Oatlands and he was perfect. We also ordered our cake through Oatlands House and it was exactly how I imagined and tasted amazing. The getaway car was lovely and the driver was courteous and professional. Oatlands House gave me my dream wedding and them some. Thank you very much.

The venue is stunning, it's the nicest venue we've seen in Sydney. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly leading up to the event booking appointments, sending paperwork with information and ideas. Angelique in particular was so lovely with us and made us feel so special and like our day was the most important day ever, she is a real asset to this business. The food portions are massive and delicious, we didn't need any extra platters. The wait staff on our wedding night were extremely professional in their manner and service.

On our wedding day, there were a few things we weren't happy with, the room had a few set up issues despite me making it very clear and labelling everything extremely specifically. The toilets ran out of toilet paper and we had to ask a few times to have this replenished. We had left all our stuff the day before in a plastic tub and the venue lost our tub and weren't really that apologetic about this. We had take home bags for the wedding cake and the venue forgot to bring them out until about 1/3 of the guests had left and I (the bride) was the one who had the chase this with wait staff twice. Lastly we had 3 inclusions in our wedding package, one was a DJ, they provided us the worst DJ ever, we found out at the event that this was his first ever DJ gig, they hadn't bother to let us know this before and give us the option to find our own. He had no idea what to play, he ignored the song list I had sent and didn't even know hit songs. He was hopeless and the dance floor was empty because of this until I went over myself to tell him exactly what to play. This is really unprofessional of Oatlands House to offer substandard suppliers in their package. Overall, I would recommend this venue but be careful with the few things I have mentioned.

Had a wedding last night and the aircon was so strong we asked to turn it down but they did. Now im sick I almost had to go to hospital. What a joke. The food wasnt great aswell I ended up vomiting at 3am. Overall it was a terrible experience.
