We had my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Barn and I can t fault it! The food was lovely and very reasonable! The actual space used for events is lovely and has a nice atmosphere. Staff were great!

Fantastic meal! This place will go in the little black book of gems, the starter of Parmesan crusted crayfish was beautiful and I could not resist the steak after seeing someone else eating it.
The service is good and not too intrusive and they are not pushing you out the door like some places.
Will look forward to a summer visit as it was a bit cold to eat outside.
This is where work drinks. It's perfectly acceptable but should probably focus on more craft beers.
Great place to go after work, even better on free curly fries Friday's.

We recently got married and had our wedding breakfast here. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The owner were more than helpful on every occasion, doing that little bit extra wherever they could. The venue was beautifully decorated, very elegant and made the day perfect. We had 50 for out wedding breakfast, all of whom could not speak more highly. We had a variety of option but in particular our guests enjoyed the duck starter and the lamb main. We were unable to find fault with any of the food, service or drinks available. Thank you to everyone at The Barn for making our day so wonderful and enjoyable for all our guests.

Typical restaurant of food and drinks seems expensive for the average Spanish but it is normal in England in general the food is quite normal food

I have recently visited the barn since the pubs have reopened after corona virus and was amazed at the rudeness of the staff a table of six moved from one table to another due to there be heaters at the second table and the staff decided to remove us from the premises and threaten to call the police due to the fact that we were apparently mixing tables. The wait time was also outrageous waiting a whole 30 minutes for a pint during out of peak hours. However I recently visited the claremont which was a much more enjoyable experience due to the great staff and punctuality of drinks.

A great selection of cider and wonderful pizza. Well worth a visit. Take the taster selection of ciders, two if you fancy a night out! Front of house you can listen to 80s classics. At the back it s funky dance.

Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are relaxed and pleasant to be in.

We would just like to say a massive thankyou to philippe ,janet and their hardworking team for making our wedding day on sunday 17th 2018 absolutely amazing.when we arrived at the barn and see how beautiful it looked we couldnt have been happier.the atmosphere was so relaxed and warming the whole team made us feel so special.our guests kept saying to us how beautiful the venue was and how lovely the food was and the service that they all recieved .the venue was perfect and continued to be magical throughout the evening we didnt want it to end.thankyou again philippe janet and the team.lou & paula xx

Not great slow service on a few drinks as they had a bar set up outside and we waited 35 minutes for a cocktail so order something else from the bar as got so thirst and one of the staff was a bit rude and Sarcastic to one of his staff saw him having ago at him a few times for small things was not a great evening normally the barn is great but wasn't this evening some of the staff seem like they just didn't want to be there.
Cozy, atmospheric pub inside with a well-stocked bar. The Barn really comes into its own outside, however, with a lovely outdoor area separated from the main pub by an equally nice conservatory. Could do with losing the naff fruit machine in the corner though!
Visited the pub for a pint after work with my wife. We ordered two points of Harvey's, which turned out to have a very bitter aftertaste. Took the the drinks back to the bar to tell them that I thought there was a problem with the drinks (possibly the pipes). The bar staff asked another customer who had ordered a half of Harvey's what he thought. He responded that it tasted ok. There was no offer of a different pint or any other feedback from the staff. We left our drinks and left the pub. Won't return in a hurry!

Perfectly cooked steak and some great cocktails. Friendly and prompt service too. Not cheap, but savings to be had with membership.

Nice location just off main road close to station. Small garden and veranda dining. Full menu restaurant upper floor . Friendly service reasonable prices.

The Barn is great for lunchtime meal or after work drinks. Really solid pub with a great outdoor space. Really good value for money.
Had a 3 course meal, pate had no taste and the same with the chutney, steak was cooked ok by sides left alot to be desired and the sticky toffee pudding was fresh out the microwave, used to swear by this place but the menu has been changed and next to no seafood on the menu, will not be returning to the barn again I'm said to say, 10+ years I've been going there it's such a shame

Judging by the reviews I was definitely expecting better.
For a place that claims to be famed for its steaks, I expect to be asked how I would like it cooked and which of the complimentary sauces I would like: I was asked neither. Presentation too was haphazard and quality (not flavour, that was fine) of the meat and accompaniments was questionable.
Serving staff friendly but poorly trained I'd say but no excuse for the food presentation.
You need to try harder Barn, this was chain pub standard really.

Very relaxed, excellent food, excellent value, friendly staff, excellent service, comfortable seating, great atmosphere. Only problem was I couldn't finish my main because the starter and main were both so big and filling! Thanks to The Barn for a great anniversary meal for my wife and I.

Went in for a drink today sat down waited over 20 minutes for a drink and gave up and walked out!
Had family and friends there for meal.We pre-ordered our meal but the service was great and staff very friendly and helpful.
First order refunded because they ran out of bread. Then over an hour of waiting to get a dry and tasteless burger.
Smelt In side and the staff wasn't welcoming. Drinks were reasonably priced
