Really understand gluten free and don't make you feel bad about asking questions about the food. Many dishes are either gluten free or can be adapted to be so.

Lose 1 star as my friend waited half hour for a pepsi.

Food took forever to come out and portions were on the small side and all the salad consisted of was lettuce and the odd piece of cucumber.

Despite booking a table we had to wait to be seated as the table had not be cleaned. Ordered 4 main courses plus a side, the side did not arrive with the mains when it did arrive it was dry and cold. Standard of food was average as was the service. We won't be rushing to return.

Weirdest " nacho's " I have EVER experienced. Chips with bbq beans, brisket, cajun sauce, guacamole, sour cream spring onion and feta!! Terrible, sorry. Nothing nacho in them whatsoever. Fake mashed potatoes with my pie. Why? Not impressed at all although staff was good .

Absolutely dreadful.
I wonder why these places still exist.
The last couple of visits I said never again and now I know why.

Nice menu, food was very tasty and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Only dropped a star as the last 2 visits they had several items off the menu

Food was late and stone cold ,awful will never go there again

Service slow. You didn't always exactly what you ordered. The mushroom Risotto was very bland. The avocado was over ripe. Not impressed

The food was ok my chicken was a bit dry. The Covid measures seemed a bit haphazard. None of the wait staff wore masks .

Popped in for a quick lunch with my dad yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Even though it was busy, service was pretty quick, and the food came out warm and was of a very good standard. Staff were also very friendly. Will definitely be coming back for a light lunch again, as I'm just down the road. Really impressed!

Good to go out for a meal. Covid-19 rules were in place. Meal 4* staff very attentive

Attended on a Sunday for a family occasion. The service was very slow. It was busy for a large restaurant. The Sunday roast servings were miserly. Desert was good.

Waited at reception to be seated, no one bothered to attend, went to bar and ordered one of the worst fillet steaks I ve ever had, their best 8oz medium fillet tastes like well done rump! My jaw is still sore from chewing. Terrible service, except for the barman, and worse food. Won t go back to this place

Average restaurant, not a huge selection for vegetarians, nor cocktails but fast service, good atmosphere, lovely food.

Food OK staff OK an OK evening. One meal came out without tomato and mushroom but was quickly put right. Main downside of the evening was feeling like they couldn't get us out the door quick enough once our meals were done with. We would of happily stayed for another drink or two and it was only 8.50!!

Visited this restaurant on 9/12/18. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We both ordered a main of Fillet Steak.
My wife's was very nice mine was much less so.
I don't like complaining because I don't see the point.
However a fail to understand how it is a regular occurrence that you pay a premium for a steak that it is tough or has gristle running through most of the meat.
Very disappointed.

Nice clean,tidy venue with a pleasant bar and good food served in an old roast house. Free parking.

It's a beefeater like all the others. Expensive at full price but reasonable if you can find one of the frequently available voucher deals.

Food was fantastic and our server was amazing. Didn't catch her name but blonde hair and glasses. I had the ribeye with prawns on top and the steak was cooked perfectly. 10/10 would recommend.

We visited on this occasion to celebrate mums birthaday what a treat, for a table of 14 the food came out pretty quick and was cooked to a high standard, only let down for us was slow service especially where drinks concerned. More waiting staff needed maybe?

Lovely food, great service, but needed the heating on.

Husband ordered the sirloin which was tough, the signature sauce was non existent and the crispy mushrooms were cremated. I ordered the fillet steak which was nicely cooked to my requirements but ordered the garlic and parsley butter sauce. When questioned I was told the butter sauce was already pasted on to the steak.... I could not smell let alone taste garlic!! Disappointed

Great lunch menu, cheap too. Lovely waitress, nice atmosphere.

The pub was clean and tidy but the food did not look like the pictures and almost everything was quite cremated. Wouldn't bother going back for dinner again.

Friendly greeting, excellent service (although slow at peak times), food quality slightly more superior than other local Beefeater restaurants, and staff eager to please and go the extra mile.

We love this place and keep coming back. Quality of food and staff is exemplary.

Food was not as described on the menu. Was not even close. When I pointed this out, no one seemed to care. Can do better at home and it wasn't cheap. Very disappointed and will not be going back!

Been here a few times and its a nice clean setting. Depends how many people are there to the quality of the cooking..sometimes have to wait quite a while for food but generally ok

I loved this when it was the original Past and Squire! But the company who took it over gutted the heart out of it. The food is just average now as is the building Im afraid.

Enjoyed our meal, succulent steak and lots of chips. Prices are a little high, the service by Leeza was good and attentive. A group of diners were a bit too loud nearby and hastened our departure.
