Love this venue.

Love this venue.
Been here so many times and have never had a bad night.
One of my favourite music venues in Scotland.

Concert was great, ladies toilets were closed so had to walk out the front down 2 flights of stairs and a corridor to get to, disability access and seating is appalling, I don't want to sit right out the back for a concert, why can't there be more seating available, and no option on tickets for disabled seating options

Went with my daughter, staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Especially good with disabled people. Saw staff checking on disabled people a few times during the concert; making sure people were comfortable, had a good view, access to toilets etc. Clean fresh water was given out to those in need. Great atmosphere, clean (enough) [mens] toilet with friendly attendant and assortment of fragrances to keep you feeling fresh. Didn't use the bar so can't comment on that. Music played at a good level that didn't leave my ears ringing for days afterwords.

Great venue for gigs with bars in the dance floor. Amazing ceilings and good acoustics. Bars on the dance floor and the back of the hall. If your a girl and you need the bathroom though give yourself 10 minutes as the toilets are either More

I was being generous giving it 2 stars as to me the place is far too expensive for a soft drink and the price of your alcoholic drinks is a joke I know it needs to make money and when you get yourself a good spot next to the stairs but not impending anyone from using the stairs then you get a crowd standing right at the stairs and there for making it difficult for people to even find the stairs meaning people are crashing into you in order to get up and down the stairs and the security kept moving people on that were standing on the stairs but not the ones blocking the path to the stairs get it sorted

Drink prices are outrageous. Wasn't impressed with crowd management either. A guy elbowed and pushed his way to the front hallway through the gig. I spent the rest of the night hunched over to avoid an elbow to head with him pushing bodily into me and elbowing me in the back constantly. Heard other people behind me complaining he'd pushed them out of the way. Crowd management didn't seem to care. When I drew one guy's attention to it, he said 'well the whole crowd's pushing'. Not the same thing. Ruined the night, which would've been great otherwise.

Dropkick Murphys were unbeliveable, but this hall is without any air condition, without ventilation. All people were very, very sweaty, air was there heavy and opresive. Acustic was OK.

Went there for a concert.
There was no information on the doors opening time, and then the funny thing is doors opened 15 mins before the first gig - we missed the band waiting for the cloak room which took a really long time waiting (keeping in mind the amount of people at the concert). And be aware that your ticket needs to be scanned again after they have been scanned at the main entrance!!! - we took another detour to the cloak room to grab my phone which had the tickets on it but which I left there so no damage could be done to it.
So sad because the location as such has got a very nice charm to it.
Hopefully they can organise things like this better in the future.

Was great because of kip more was disappointed in the price of drink a pint of San wag
el and Jack and Coke to beginning with was 9 :95 then ended up 10:50 every time we went was a joke didn't stop me buy a drink but consistently should be a one stop price from start

Bigger than it's cousin, the ABC, but not exactly better.

Friendly staff and security and decent sound for gigs but it's a bit overly crowded IMHO.

Trying to get to the toilet mid-gig if you're a guy (women don't have this problem as their toilet is just left of the stage) is a nightmare as it's right at the back and people tend to block off the way out and you're forced to push past people. Toilet is really small too so there's often queuing.

Drinks aren't cheap either but service is normally pretty fast. They do a '2 pint' cup which is handy and saves you a trip to the bar - but then you've got to deal with the toilet situation afterwards!

Close to the Subway which is a bonus.

Was great only thing doors were meant to open at 7pm and didnt open until 7.45pm and it was cold and wet. I was so close to just going hone. O2 meant to have priority lane too but the other queue got in first then merged at same time

Visited here for the Star-shaped Festival and for the most part there was a good atmosphere.
However parts of the venue are starting to look a little tired, especially the toilets.
There are plenty of bars throughout the v venue but drinks are over priced in my opinion.

Great gig venue. Intimate too. You get some great bands here and you feel like you re right in the heart of the gig wherever you are in the place.
Great bar staff and you don t need to wait too long for a drink.

O2 Academy is a nice place overall with the exception of the toilets and the sound. For some reason the sound is not good at all which it's very disappointing when you are looking forward to see you favourite bands but you don't enjoy them as much due to the bad sound.

Small area but depending on what you're there for the atmosphere is amazing. Shame they closed the toilets as soon as the act finished at the end of the night. Was the only downfall especially when you need to go but don't want to miss anything lol!
