OReillys/Lamington National Park is a beautiful part of SE Qld. Arriving early ensures that you can find a park easily as it can get busy. There are picnic areas with bbqs in the National Park area and plenty of grass to sit on. OReillys also offers a cafe with gift shop etc. You can buy seed to feed the birds but dont feed them in the National Park. Tree top walk is a short but fun walk for the family. There are also plenty of short or long walks you can choose to do requiring different levels of fitness. Waterfalls, lookouts, mountain valley views, creek crossings... all are available on the walks. Spend half a day or a whole week as they also offer camping or guest accommodation. We have camped before and care needs to be taken on how large your setup is as camp sites can be more suited to 2 or 4 man tents.

The food at the restaurant was aweful and overpriced. I ordered a grilled snapper and it tasted rubbery and it was tough as if it was frozen... For $25 it was a huge waste of money. I definitely won't eat there again.

We go there for day walking. Unfortunately, for serious day walkers looking for a late lunch or coffee and treat, the coffee shop is already closed. We often need to drive down to Canungra. It's disappointing.

Things for Everyone to do- kids, adults, older ones. Great value for money, the packages are probably the best deals to do as food and actives can be included. Will be coming back again!

Wife and I had a romantic retreat late July 2017 - great weather except freezing cold (and inadequate room heater) but I agree with other reviews it would be a poor experience if it was raining. Tour guide Glen is great. Birds of prey show and bird feeding are great. WiFi is fiddly but acceptable. Food is good but pricey and there are no nearby alternatives, which is all understandable but I recommend you bring some food with you.

Fantastic sevice. Delicious wedges. Salad looked good but I didnt taste it. Im not saying that the salad was bad, its just that at the time I wasn't really in the mood for salad... but in saying that am I ever in the mood for salad. No not really. Im just not a salad person. Ive always tried to be but im not. I dont want to try to be something that im not. I like to keep my life real and be proud of who i am.

I had booked a valley view villa for our anniversary and after reading some reviews I was unsure I had made the right choice. On arrival my mind was instantly turned around the reception very welcoming and more than helpful even highlighting events that were complementary so we wouldn t miss out on any activity, They have lots of activities free and of charge a big range for everybody.
Our room was amazing honestly have all you need available I could have moved right on in and the view well spectacular even with the haze of smoke from recent fires
We booked a Segway tour and our guide was amazing at not only teaching us how to ride but explaining the history behind Oriellys. The staff were pleasant with a friendly smile, always happy to help even offering first aid for a scrape I had caused myself. I would highly recommend staying !!
We will be back hopefully annually :)
Thank you Oriellys you made my anniversary !

What a great experience.

What a great experience.
Really relaxing. The fox glide is quite fun. Fantastic views. Well worth the trip up the mountian which is fun on it's own

A good place to visit. Come see some Queensland Rain Forest. Nature at her best. I have taken many international visitors here, everyone of them loved the area. Many questions, all very interested.

Nice restaurant with great coffee and a good selection of pastries and cakes. Self service as is the way in Australia. Great view from the top so well worth a visit. Decor could be spruced up a bit to make it warm and cosy but all in all its good.

My partner and I recently visited O'reilly's Rainforest retreat through the purchase of their "Romance Package". We booked this trip during COVID-19 and were set to arrive while restrictions were easing. The package listed a number of things that were provided including dinner both nights, breakfast, a picnic lunch and sparkling wine with strawberries on arrival. However, the package also listed a few things that were not provided such as morning tea and afternoon tea and a wine tasting. The resort used the excuse "we cannot provide these things due to COVID", this would have been a valid excuse had they not listed and sold these experiences to us knowing full well, at the time we booked, that these experiences would not be available, as when we booked restrictions were at their height. They did not reduce the price of the package and only compensated both morning teas and afternoon teas with 4 stale, rock hard biscuits. Had we had known that the things listed would not have been included we would not have spent $730 on two nights accommodation. We left feeling ripped off and unappreciated as guests. The only positive part to this resort is the fantastic waitstaff in the dining hall. Probably some of the nicest and most welcoming waitstaff I've had, and they took their time to get to know each guest individually, and they deserve to be praised for that.
To conclude, while I would stay here again, I would never book one of their packages again.

Way too far to drive for what you have to enjoy once you get there. No maps that I could find and info desk had no maps and the attendant was busy for longer than we wanted to wait so we just went to the Treetop which was not what I thought, 30min then left. We wanted to stay and see more if there was more and do more but was not adventuring without a map!

Absolutely beautiful! The tree walk isn't long but you can climb a huge tree and see the skyline! Will recommend this place again and again! Be ready for a treacherous car ride up, not for the faint hearted. Its very far up.

We spent a couple of hours exploring the rainforest. Was a lovely day out with the children. Planning on coming back to stay in the retreat in the future. Only downside was the drive up the mountain, narrow winding roads.

Our second holiday here. We have stayed in the villas both times. Love the rooms and the views, the only tour we did this time was the 4wd tour with Duncan, if you do a tour make sure he s the guide. Our only issues this time is lack of menu options for dinner, a simple steak, chips and salad would be perfect.
Staff issues at dinner time every night is the same. Tonight we watched a family of 4 with kids ask to order more than 5 times, staff responses were give me two minutes
This was after numerous attempts to order our own meals. It wasn t too busy but it s a common theme we have found on both our stays. Either have more staff on or train them to approach the customer.
Prices are high for food as numerous others have said.

Extremely disappointed with the recent service. My husband had made a booking earlier this year & paid for it in full; for a weekend away for my birthday. We arrived and they had cancelled our reservation with no communication, the receptionist laughed when she told us that there was nothing they could do.
This was one of our favourite getaways, I can t say we will ever return now.

When ever we have interstate or overseas guests, O'Reilly's is where we like to take them. The bird life and views are absolutely breath taking and if you wish to stay over a night, there is always O'Reilly's guest accommodation.

Amazing place, great hikes that are well posted. My only recommendations are if you stay there is to get a package that includes breakfast. And definitely worthwhile doing the bird walking tour in the morning

The scenery is beautiful and every service staff is quite kind.
The nearby Tree-Top trail is very special, and the store also offers parrot feed ($4.5). It is a great experience to have the feed go out and the lively parrot will fly to the person.

In addition, sit in the cafe with a cup of coffee and enjoy the unbeatable view from the balcony.

However, to get here, you have to drive a very long narrow mountain road with steep curves. Many road sections are only one lane wide, so you must pay special attention to driving carefully.

Such a nice place for a day trip, driving up the windy mountain through lush rainforest. The boardwalk is really nice and maintained, and leads to gardens and the treetop walk. The treetop walk is suspended above the trees and there is a spot where you can climb up 2 ladders next to a tree to be 30m above the ground. So fresh and relaxing!

This place was lush and had an awesome stay here. Plenty to do around the resort between the pools, walking tracks and activities. My only complaint was that all the food was very expensive, delicious but pricey.

Location is beautiful, wonderfully set in the mountains of Lamington National Park. The cabins are nicely fitted with modern bathrooms. However, full kitchen facilities would be beneficial. The only option to eat main meals is at the slightly overpriced restaurant.

Unique history which is maintained with pride. Staff very friendly and helpful. Natalie wildlife presenter. Michael the room runner. Taylor the waitress and husband Paul the bartender. Lots to explore and take a raincoat... Hint its a rainforest.. Awesome lighting..

Lots of beautiful experiences await, some are free, some cost a bit. Definitely worth coming up here. Treetops walk and waterfalls are great. The bird feeding is so much fun. If you love birds, there are many beautiful birds here. Some even eat out of your hands if you are patient, well the parrots do anyway, but some of the smaller birds will also. Worth staying a couple of nights and longer.

Absolutely lovely, the winding road is a journey of its own. But resort beautiful. Enjoyed a beautiful family wedding in magnificent country setting. The best meals, and good service. Lots of wildlife, feed the birds and go walking trails in rainforest.

A must place to visit. Visit the shop, feed the birds and being or purchase your lunch. Plenty of walks ranging from the tree top walk to short walls to waterfalls to longer walks. Just be mindful of the overdue road works taking place on the only way in and out of the mountain top.

We booked for 2 days a 3 bedroom villa and left after a night without refund. The rooms are not clean and smell bad. The food is inedible. The main building with restaurant is old and unkempt - never again! The worst experience on our 3.5 week trip through Queensland.

Its a fail to have a retreat so far away from
everything and for the whole weekend the spa is completely booked out, not even a short treatment can be done. Seriously guys, people come here for a relaxing weekend and this is so disappointing. There are other things that were really bad: overpriced food/drinks, everything is dated and its not a resort but a
kind of random motel buildings fitted onto the property, not very nice vibe. The rooms are not private, the place was loud, the library doesn't
even have a desk to work on, the kids area is creepy and don't even ask about wifi.
This place has some great features: every room has a balcony with absolutely stunning views. The rooms are dated but ok for people who like sinple and rustic accomodations. They seem to have a lot of activities to keep their clients busy but I didn't try any of them, so not sure what they are like.

We (2 adults + 2 Children) stayed at O'Reillys last week and while we loved the outlook and the walks we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths by the time we left. We had a kids eat free package but I honestly wouldn't bother with that option. In order for the kids to eat 'free' you have to pay $35 per adult for breakfast (plus extra for a barista made coffee), if you chose the $22.50 per adult continental breakfast you had to pay an additional $12.50 per child, which conveniently adds up to $35 per adult again. Totally false advertising.
The evening meal was beautiful - when we eventually got it. The kids were given their tiny meals almost immediately and we had to wait for over an hour for ours. Our waiter told us the chef said he "didn't get the docket", we asked for the dessert to be then brought out at the same time as our very tired and by now extremely restless kids had had enough and wanted to go home. No sign of dessert, I ended up complaining and a supervisor immediately sprung out and offered us 2 vouchers for 2 free drinks or 2 coffees the following morning. Really??
We went for afternoon tea and it was miserly, you could see the look of disbelief on other peoples faces also. It was almost laughable.
The food was very overpriced in my opinion as were the drinks .
The outdoor looked very shabby and uninviting. Cafe service was also painfully slow!
All in all, we probably won't return. To the area yes definitely but unfortunately not O'Reilly's

Over the weekend i got married at Oriellys. As i arrived to reception i was shocked to find my cake maker had not stabilised my cake the way we discussed and the entire top tier had fallen off. As a stressed bride i instantly broke down in tears. Orielly's were absolutely incredible! They swept in, took the cake straight to their chef who spent 5 hours with another staff member reconstructing the entire top tier of my cake and decorating it. Everything on the wedding day itself went to Plan and upon arriving to the reception i was told christina (the events coordinator) was managing the event all by herself due to a staff member calling in sick. Christina was an absolute angel and every single one of my guests commented on how well she done over the night to ensure everyone was kept happy. To all that were involved in making the Sparkes wedding on April 27th a day to remember we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

#bestplaceinsoutheastqueensland we had an amazing few nights. Really comfortable accommodation. Immersing ourselves amongst the wildlife was amazing. The wildlife show and bird of prey show were brilliant. I cannot speak higher of the Glow Worm tour #mustdoexperience #glowworms the staff were always more than happy to help whatever the request or question. The food was amazing and quite reasonably priced. #wewillbeback
