A great place to stop over after visiting the WTC memorial site and St Paul's Chapel in Cedar Street. We had a good beer and some food, and were mostly impressed by the friendly, yet confronting atmosphere because of the enormous amount of (international!) firedepartment and police badges hanging behind the bar, on the ceiling and walls. We even discoverd a badge from our 'own' Duth Police.

Resturante Irlandes decorated with thousands of patches of police stations, armies, flags from around the world. Right next to ground zero.
He survived the attacks of 9/11, there are different photos that put the chicken skin.

The typical Irish dish is very good and the best hamburgers in NY.
Attention, professionalism, quality, etc.

SPECTACULAR

This place is really a historical site. You can still feel the patriotism from 9/11 as if it were yesterday. In the words of the staff "We don't forget 'round here." Service was incredible, as well as the stories and the memories. Also very affordable drinks and friendly people all around.

Great pub food and cool atmosphere. Took longer than we would have liked for the food to arrive, but worth the wait. Shepherd's Pie is a definite do! And if you are a first responder, bring your unit's patch and they'll let you staple it to the wall with the hundreds or maybe even thousands of other patches. Awesome!

A must see for anyone who visits NYC. Mike is a wonderful host, the history speaks for itself. BTW, the place was equally as special before 9/11, I have wonderful memories of so many people who can longer walk through the door, but are there in spirit.

O Hara s Restaurant and pub in New York have to say had a wonderful experience with my family and myself the rest are overall and bor is kind of small but something that you would expect to see in the city and it seems to be always very busy with that said they offered a variety of amazing drinks one of my favorites was a cider that they get directly from Ireland.. what I found really cool about the bar and restaurant itself is the Decour was basically decorated in patches from first responders and police fire EMS from all over the world so if you do decide to come visit the pub definitely bring your patch from your department patch if your police fire EMS etc from anywhere in the world I m sure they ll find a spot somewhere on the wall to put that patch. Next I was amazed how small the kitchen is but How they are able to put out the dishes as fast as they can and for what we did order I would say the food is above average bar food I did really enjoy the Ruben and their onion rings.. overall experience very well I would definitely recommend trying The bar/restaurant for yourself it s.. it s not far from the 911 Memorial and the path train so pretty easy to get to.. if you find my review helpful and you do like what I have to say please don t be afraid to leave like

The reviews are right: They make you feel at home; Bartenders had discussion with me. Two pilots next to me opened up about how everything changed after 9/11 for them, etc. The environment in the place is very nice. Beers great, food so-so.

Even though quite busy, it was a delightful place to hangout and enjoy some beers. Food smelled delicious but didn't get to try anything this visit. It should definitely be a bucket list bar for everyone to visit!
